60 Days In Recap: Pushed To The Limit

April 11, 2020 by tamaratattles 4 Comments

60 Days In RecapSaturdays are my favorite days because I don’t have any recaps that I have to do. It’s also the day I try to clear out my DVR as much as possible. Tonight, I am feeling in good spirits, so I am going to do a quick and dirty 60 Days In Recap!

On the last episode, Vanessa was in serious danger and ready to tap out! Heather had gotten herself into a sticky romance with an inmate named Betsey. We start this Betsey being pissed with Heather for not eating with her at meal time. Betsey is literally stalking her. Then suddenly, Betsey gets called to be released.

60 Days In RecapThings Get INSANE In The Women’s Pod!

Vanessa tells production she is in fear for her life after she leaves the jail. Her two cell mates are also planning to shank her. I’m not sure she knows about that. She’s terrified but she doesn’t want to be labeled a quitter. So she says she is going to try and stick out the last few days. Plus, she really wants to help make changes at the jail.

Officer Richardson is called the Screamin’ Demon by the inmates. It’s a wonder she doesn’t lose her voice within this first hour. This would drive me insane. One of the inmates, Caswell is screaming at her during meds time. She’s threatening to attack her. So it was really dumb of the Screamin’ Demon to open her cell door so she could take her meds. Sure enough Caswell loses her mind with Richardson. There are way to many things available to throw in this pod. WTF. Caswell nails her upside the head with something she threw at her. Richardson caused this entire event. When the men come in to restrain Caswell she continues kicking them after she was restrained.

60 Days In RecapIt’s Like Groundhog Day In The Women’s Pod

The next day, Caswell is right back in the pod. Once again, she is let out of her cell by Richardson to get her meds. A male CO is also near the desk. Once again Caswell is going off. The male CO doesn’t even stand up. He just sits there and tells her to go back to her cell. She wanted to slide someone under another cell door. Caswell comes flying down the stairs and starts throwing shit and knocking over the trashcan. Finally, two guys some in with some sort of rifle and take her ass back to her cell. For unclear reason a few other inmates are now out of their cell. Richardson brags to them that she was about the fight Caswell.

A few minutes later, it’s time to serve dinner. Apparently they will be eating in lockdown. But, Richardson has to open her cell door to feed Caswell. Oh the inmates who are out are trustees that will help pass out the trays. The two trustees appear to be plotting an attack with Richardson. One says she is going to pour a gallon of juice on Caswell’s bed. There are now five or more of them, plus Richardson headed to her cell. They beat Caswell with the gallon of juice, dumped all the juice on her bed and then threw bleach in her face. The two male offices come again and just shove her in her cell that is covered in juice and bleach.

Heather is the main narrator of this story. Both Heather and Vanessa are in tears just talking about it. Officer Richardson was fired.  Production caught her in the parking lot crying in her car. She said she didn’t do anything wrong.

60 Days TonyTony Disrupts The Men’s Pod

The men’s pod is total chaos with Champagne acting like a fool. Tony decides he wants to mess with the COs. He decides to play hide and seek with them when it’s time for lockdown. What good information is Tony going to get from just being a pain in the ass to the COs? We see a CO that I don’t recall seeing before, Jamicheal falling asleep at the desk on night shift. Again, this is something they should be able to see for themselves on the cameras.

Donovan on the other hand has infiltrated the Aryan Brotherhood to determine how the drugs are getting into the jail. Donovan gets in a bit of  hot water when one of members of the bloods claims he recognizes him from Louisville. He clearly has a face you would not forget. This is bad.

Tony Leaves The Pod In Handcuffs

Tony confronts Officer Jamichael again on another night. He curses at him and refuses to follow his orders. Jamicheal insinuates that Tony is part of 60 Days In. The he outright says to another inmate that Tony is “part of the program.” Officer Jamicheal calls to have Tony removed from the pod. Tony gets taken out in handcuffs while Jamicheal laughs. Tony says in that moment he was thinking it’s time to tap out.

Next week is the season finale: The male inmates are all trying to get in Tony’s cell to steal all his stuff. The women’s pod learns in advance of a shakedown of he unit. This gives Vanessa’s cell mates time to hid all their shanks and other forbidden items.  Also, Champagne and others think that production is really police.

Well that was an exciting episode!

Wow that episode was crazy. Even my husband was watching with his jaw dropped (and he hates the show)

This episode gave me anxiety, especially the womens pod segment. I was close to tears watching the trustees gang up on Caswell. So glad Miss Richardson got fired. The thick heavy eyelashes, fake nails and styled hair looked ridiculous in that setting. I noticed all the gum chomping stopped once she was in her car sniveling about being fired.

I am disappointed they didn’t show how Vanessa handled Angel when she went back to the cell. While she was gone they talked about shanking her in the night! That was scary and we have no idea of the outcome? Did I miss it?
There is no need to test the system anymore. Just watch the videos!most COs are lazy and the inmates are out of control.
    The Caswell situation was awful!
