UPDATED!

He does actually say he his the virus, apologizes.

“bravoandy After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus.  As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better.  I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves.”

Just saying what? You realize that death isn’t the only terrible outcome? Just because you don’t die doesn’t mean it’s fun to hang out in the ICU on a ventilator struggling to breathe. I still have friends in the military who are being activated and deployed. My ex husband had all his ortho surgeries canceled because they are considered elective and the hospitals need to conserve supplies. He can’t work because of this virus. This kind of response has never happened in any of our lifetimes so we need to take it serious. You can minimize the mortality rate all you want, but I think there is more we don’t know. I worked for a major airline that is asking people to take a year off. Things are not getting back to normal anytime soon.

Some people just don’t understand how bad this is… I don’t think they will understand until someone in their family gets sick & then the dr will have to choose who gets the ventilator because there aren’t enough. You literally have to hit people in the head with a hammer to get them to understand. I’m a nurse. There aren’t enough supplies for us in the OR. Barely getting by in the ER. They set up a testing tent on Monday but can’t get any tests to start. I’m so happy celebrities are able to be tested though. Some of them are posting their results like it’s a badge of honor. The gal gadot imagine song was in such poor taste. I’m sorry I’m just pissed off right now. Some of my coworkers who are symptomatic are sitting in lines 4 hours long only to be turned away because they ran out of tests but Andy Cohen got a test. This is a f- upped time we are living in.

I hope that he gets over it quickly! I am also annoyed that all of these celebrities can get the test immediately. In Minnesota you can only get tested in you are a medical professional, are hospitalized, or live in group quarters. Right now we have a low number because of the minuscule amount of people that are being tested, who knows what the real numbers are. Judging by all of these celebrities that have it I’m assuming It’s all over.

Coming from and asthmatic and mother of asthmatic children who visit the ER every 3 to 4 months – and whose kiddo is currently battling croup for 2 weeks and will likely need to go to the doctor that is located in the epicenter of the pandemic in our area.

But we have all these rich people that don’t fit the demographic getting tested right away. It is disgusting. Now they seem to just post for clout. Hence the look at me I am suck face. He has a baby he’s been in quarantine with him for the last week and he had it the whole time. He obviously adores his son and likely will need to be separated for several weeks. I wouldn’t wish that on any parent especially another single parent like I am.

One fever was 104 and pretty scary. The coughs lingered and one of the Dads who rarely is sick felt so awful he debated going to Urgent Care. Now we are looking back and thinking oh hey…

I am in Texas. I believe it all started in January and CDC was just not aware. II had those same symptoms the week before Thanksgiving, a long with a shortness of breath and a bad cough. The first day I thought it was my allergy, so I took my allergy meds. By late afternoon, my temp was 103. I took Night Qil, Motrin and Tylenol and consumed plenty of fluids. I was sick for 3 days, but that cough linger clear into the end of December. There were so many people diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection at that time. Praying you feel beer soon.

I didn’t think about prior cases. I got off a flight from Turks mid-December and got a nasty cold. I haven’t had a cold in well over a decade so it was strange. It lasted the usual 7 days and I chalked it up to forgetting to get my flu shot for the first time in forever.

        Thanks for the update Kdwagz,

Day 7 in Lockdown planning which country to go to this evening or just stay at home perhaps France and then back home to Spain. So many options!!!

Bedroom 2: 7PM Perhaps France for a little fiesty french wine and a virtual tour of the Louvre with baked brie and baquette – YES Lentil Season went down the toilet last week C’est La Vie!!!

Balcony : 8PM Spain : Nightly applause for key workers from the Costa Del Sol: They stay at work to support us – We stay at home to support them.

Bedroom 1: Spain: 8:30PM Sangria and homemade tapas plus a facebook concert from Puerto de la Duquessa to support Costa del Sol musicians via Paypal as they have no work for the next ?????? Now that is a cheap and cheerful night out: Bedroom 1 could be the winner.

Balcony: 12PM Torches/ Candles in support of the families who have lost loved ones.

Kitchen: Cup of Tea and off to bed with my Christine Feehan bodice ripper audio book

Thanks to all who gave me that suggestion : Fingers crossed it takes my mind off the madness with a sexy dream – A girl can wish.

Interesting trivia: I am not an electrician however I believe our electric companies may be re-calibrating the power every night at approx 11:45pm for around 3 seconds we loose all power and I then have to reboot router. etc

Not sure if that may start happening in other countries or if their systems can cope with the power surge or not: Perhaps safer if people do not leave essentials on Stand By

Netflix Europe sent emails to advise major buffering problems moving forward so I am making sure my laptop has 7 hours of battery life incase I loose power for an hour or two.

      Hi Lisaj

I feel your pain, if day 9 you should be getting over it especially if symptoms are migraine, no energy cough, temperature however even if you could get tested you would then require a further test 14 days later and by that time you will be in Lockdown, your brain will have processed that and beli

I am basically 10 days in your future we ( Spain ) will reach the peak stage on the 24th March and Spanish Government will then move us into Stage 3 we will sit tight hoping to slowly see a decline in numbers.

I would not be concerned about celebrities getting tests they are suffering severe mental trauma as the world is no longer revolving around them plus they will also require another test.

Long story short: Test or No Test we will all be in Locked Down to slow the virus.

The test is irrelevant in the short term: ventilators are the priority for hospitals.

If no test to confirm you have it, assumed that you just might have it (I refused to say the name) and take preventative measures to get well. We all are fighting this invisible enemy together. It shouldn’t be a status symbol for the rich & famous. I would also let your dr know, which I’m sure you have done already. Tylenol seems to be drug of choice for this , I really don’t know if the don’t take ibuprofen thing is real or not, but everyone is in agreement about Tylenol or acetaminophen. Please post on here daily about how your feeling . I hope you feel better very soon!

I think he was able to get tested because he had direct exposure to someone who tested positive.

In CT even if you have symptoms and have had contact with a positive person you can only get tested if you are at high risk like asthma and it has to be ordered through a Dr

In my state it is direct contact or high risk with symptoms. There are a few locations that are setting up drive thru testing with a mouth swab and results three days later.

Can anyone remember who he had on WWHL that last week or two before ending the show for COVID19? I hope they contacted those guests and let them know they need to monitor themselves.

First of all I’m sorry for anyone who has the coronavirus and I wish them a quick recovery. But I am really feeling angry that my daughter who is in the high-risk category, can’t get tested for it. Whereas all bees TV personalities and athletes are getting tested right away. In the inequity is making me feel hot. Sorry, I just need to vent. It’s very frustrating. so while I feel badly for him and hope he recovers because I am a decent human being I just am not happy with the inequity and if my daughter can’t get tested and she is super sick here at home in her bedroom coughing and having difficulty breathing but can’t get appointments into the doctor.

It is very frustrating to see all the celebrities being tested. I am wondering what the TREATMENT is they are getting. I know a lot of people seem to be self isolating with the virus and don’t seem to be taking any meds other than over the counter. I am not sure they actually do anything if you do get it unless you are in the high risk category. If you are someone in your household I suggest drinking as much water and liquids as you can. Take whatever cold and flu type meds you have on hand. Take something for fever. And sleep as much as you can. I guess my point is, even if you were tested, I don’t think they have any special meds for this. Maybe I am wrong. But the Mayor of Miami who has the virus seems to be improving as do other people at home with the virus. It seems to me that healthy people are getting through it in about two weeks. I know this isn’t really helpful advice, but hydrating, tylenol and rest seem to be the only treatment I’ve seen so far.

This IS helpful, TT…thank you, and thanks for giving us a community to post and talk to each other.

The way I look at it, even if I could get tested right now, an hour later if left my apartment, or touched a door handle, or picked up a package, I would be afraid of reinfecting myself. So I would need an unlimited number of tests…and I’d be putting a swab up my nose every 5 minutes…which would then irritate my nostrils and increase the risk of infection! lol

As for celebrities, I get that they all have concierge doctors and are paying a few thousand dollars out of pocket to get tested. But it’s a bad look and tone deaf to gleefully post on IG that they tested negative or tested positive but are “feeling great”.

And that Gal Gadot vídeo of all the celebs singing Imagine was ?. It’s the 21st Century equivalent of Marie Antoinette saying “Let them eat cake”. Sorry, not sorry.

Thanks TT for letting me vent. Yes. We’re doing liquids and rest. I’m glad I’m home to help her through this. And I agree, it’s not like there’s a cure.
But I appreciate being able to say something here. I read here every day and enjoy the site although I’ve only commented once or twice. Today, however, I felt like this was the right place to say something like this and you’d be cool with it.

I’ve been reading a lot, but there may be some indication that ibuprofen may make coronavirus worse. They’ve not had time to do a deep dive into a study on this, but the WHO is recommending that if you feel you may have it, take Tylenol instead.

Getting the testing is the first annoying step. They are warning all over that getting a test for mild to no symptoms takes away PPE from more serious cases. I’m sure they are getting way more than Gatorade and sleep.

Be well Andy and know that this is hitting all of us in some way some how. cr In a day when social media preys upon others with trying to be more hateful than the other we know that we all are just one step away from an illness and thank you for being bold enough to share yours. Forever a BRAVO fan!

I get why people are pissed off that celebs can get tested. But why is anyone SURPRISED? “Money doesn’t talk, it screams,” thank you Bob Dylan. It has ALWAYS been that way. Remember how Mickey Mantle was able to cut in front to the liver transplant line?

THIS IS NOT FDA APPROVED! It also has a high incidence of false positives. I’m begging you all to stop repeating, reporting and sharing false information. It actually endangers all of us when people share false information. Stick to the CDC, FDA, NIH, WHO or your local health department. This comment is actually harmful. The at home kits are bullshit. Please leave it to the healthcare professionals to disburse information. Trust me, this kind of irresponsible behavior will take lives. It’s THAT serious. I know everyone is scared. We will all get through it together but it’s going to take a very long time. I’m sure intentions were good but I must speak up to stop y’all from making it harder for the ones who actually know what they are doing. Stay home and listen to updates from Dr. Anthony Fauci or visit any of the websites listed above. This is no different than the misinformation being spread on Facebook, etc. Stay safe everyone!

PS- actual tests are free for everyone once they are available everywhere and it’s not necessary for everyone to get tested right now.

I think I may have had it back in February as well. I, too, at first thought it was my allergies. I started taking my meds for that but by nightfall I thought it was a full blown cold. Terrible runny nose. I started taking Zycam which works well for me to shorten the duration. I also took DayQuil and NyQuil and drinking a lot of water. The worst part was the crushing, persistent headache and shortness of breath at night. The exhaustion. I could barely get off the couch and do ANYTHING. I ran a fever for about five days which rarely happens to me even with a cold or flu. Luckily, it never went into my chest. I am 62 with well controlled HBP and I smoke. There has only been 5 recorded cases here and all came from out of state or out of country and those people were self-aware enough to self-quarantine immediately. Good luck to all, try to stay well. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone and especially parents with kids at home or older folks like me. I still don’t get the toilet paper, bottled water panic.

I don’t mind Andy getting the test. (As much as I don’t like him) He had symptoms and exposure to a lot of sick people with the risk of exposing many more. He had a fever last week one evening (Tuesday, I think) and did the radio show the next day seemingly feeling much better. In fact, he was scolding his mom for going to the gym in her condo building that morning and then going to play bridge! I sure hope his parents weren’t exposed to him. What ticks me off is someone like Kris Jenner getting tested, so she can post, “corona free”. Wtf?! Just wrong!
