Are we ready for the most mega Summer House recap of them all? That’s right kids, it’s the big ‘ol 4th of July party! Last week’s episode was so good, so very needed. Since I’ve given up watching Vanderpump Rules and will only read the Tamara Tattles recap, I’m looking forward to tonight’s episode. Let’s dive in!
We pick back up with Kyle dumbfounded that Amanda doesn’t want to talk about their sex life before a huge party. On camera. Luke and Hannah flirt more. Kyle puts on his blonde mullet wig which signals: PARTY! Armand comes with some friends. Lindsay sums it up when she says that she’s not sure what Hannah sees in him. He seems…not Luke. Lindsay asks Armand his intentions with Hannah. He says it’s casual so he won’t be rushed into a relationship. Ugh Hannah! You deserve better. Amanda contemplates being single. Duh.
You’ve Been Jack Sparrowed !
Poor Jules feels like an outsider at the party. As one does, Luke puts on a pirate costume to celebrate the 4th of July. Kyle and Carl kiss on the deck which didn’t gross me out the way that it should. Am I the only one who can see them together?
Pirate Luke makes it clear to Armand that he is interested in Hannah. Armand doesn’t seem to care. Ugh Hannah be done with him please. Paige is having a hard time without her boyfriend at the party. Paige and Hannah go upstairs to find a couple having sex on their bed. I don’t care who you are, that’s gross. As the party winds down, Luke admits to Lindsay and Carl that he’s crushing on Hannah. Luke turns it on them and asks if they’re going to get married. Lindsay said maybe, Carl says NO. Lindsay gets upset and storms off.
The gang, minus Paige and Amanda, get ready to go out. Carl and Lindsay argue because, of course. I think they’re arguing because Lindsay suggested staying in? To no one’s shock it spirals into a full on fight. Carl leaves the room with Lindsay chasing after him. He tried to close the door on her but Lindzilla won’t be silenced! She pushes the door open, much to Carl’s horror.
Psychoville, Population Two
The Uber arrives just in time. Carl hightails it out of there leaving Lindsay behind. She cries to an unsurprised Danielle. When they come home, Kyle attempts to go to bed but cannot as Paige fell asleep in his bed with Amanda. So Kyle passes out in the chair. The next morning, Kyle and Carl talk. Carl can’t understand how Lindsay can get so mad so easily. Production offers a montage of Lindsay’s greatest angry hits.
Being “best friends,” shouldn’t Carl understand better than anyone how Lindsay reacts? They call her “psycho” and “crazy” but I disagree. Carl knew what he was getting into when he started hooking up with Lindsay. Maybe he thought she would give him a pass on his shitty behavior because of their “best friend” status? That’s not how it works. And tight ass shorts isn’t how it works either CARL. Downstairs, Amanda makes breakfast. Lindsay comes downstairs looking sad. They all eat breakfast in awkward silence. Until Paige announces that she may not come to the Hamptons
