Sunday night is my Monday morning when I go back to work to write a RHOA recap. Even if you love your job, and I do, starting off a new work week is a drag. But, in the past, I was extra motivated because RHOA was the biggest post of the week. These days, not so much. It seems we have lost interest. That said, the previews for this episode look more interesting than usually, so perhaps this is going to be a good episode. Let’s be optimistic, shall we? Even though the previews show that Marc Daly continues to be a poor excuse for a husband. So, here we go!
I know I am in the minority but I live for all of Eva’s scenes. It looks like she didn’t have the baby like we thought might happen on last week’s episode. So she is on modified bed rest which basically means she has to take it easy. Wait is she Facetiming her husband from inside the house?
Things Are Not Very #Chill In LA
Cynthia continues to try to hype Mike Hill’s book, Open Mike. Is this working for anyone? Cynthia is concerned with Mike’s previous infidelity. Mike seems to think only perfect people don’t cheat. Cynthia says that Mike always leaves during an argument. She’s a “stayer” who wants to talk it out. When she mocks him by storming out of the house he says to no one in particular, “That’s because I don’t want to deal with that bullshit.” Mike wants to deflect from his faults and concentrate on Cynthia’s. They agree to go to counseling. I am sure it will be TV therapy.
Kenya and Kandi are told to host a kickball game. Are we supposed to know who Shay is? She looks like a ringer for Kenya’s team. Other than Shay and Kandi the rest of them will be worried about breaking a nail. Nene is boycotting because Kenya left her sisterhood bullshit for only seven minutes. Of course Nene was several hours late to the event. Gregg has been invited to Marc’s charity event but Nene’s name was left off the list.
Just Kickin’ It
Cynthia hilariously touts her kicking skills as she arrives to the kickball field while production shows her cunt punting Porsha a few years back. Porsha gets picked last for kickball. Then Marlo shows up with someone and Kenya picks Marlo just to mess with her. I love Eva’s color commentary.
These women are playing a rough game. Kenya gets a homerun. Team Twirl kicks the crap out of Kandi’s team. Kenya is a poor winner. Kandi does not like to lose. But in the end everyone is happy and Kenya and Kandi announce the trip to Greece. Thank the baby Jesus that means the end of this season is in sight. Poor Eva won’t be able to go. Kandi is going to invite Nene.
Bonus scene! Eva modeling! YAY!
Sink Or Swim
Kenya and Marc take ten month old Brooklyn for swimming lessons. Brooklyn is already a Daddy’s girl. Marc never seems to put her down when he is in Atlanta. It’s sweet. They all sing a little song about swimming in the pool. Marc doesn’t like dunking the baby under the water, but Brooklyn seems to like it! Kenya talks in confessional about the issue of deciding where she and Marc will live.
Kenya has a couples bowling night planned. I thought Marc had met Dennis but I guess that was Tanya’s husband. Kenya says his six am hangout buddy will be there. Apparently, when Todd and Marc go out the are in the strip clubs until dawn. I feel like that sort of behavior should stop at a certain age. Let alone when you get married. Marc wants to invite Gregg and Nene. Kenya is fine with Gregg coming, but she did not include Nene on the evite. Marc has no allegiance to Kenya when it comes to her enemies. Especially, Nene. The Marc makes a joke about Kenya drowning in the pool. He’s such an ass. Kenya needs to stop tolerating that shit.
Marc Wears A Size 14 Shoe?
Well now, that’s important information. Things almost make sense now. But he’s still a jerk who says abusive things. Then they have a conversation about sex that …um… indicates that Marc is … errr very aggressive in bed.
When Dennis arrives, he explains to Marc that Detroit women are tough, Dennis knows because he is from Detroit, too. Marc says he is going to handle it. I was told that Marc hated RHOA, wanted no part of the show, didn’t want Kenya on the show, and basically hated the show. He sure seems to like the camera now though. I’m just saying. Cynthia is flying solo since Mike had to stay in LA. Eva looks great as usual and she is there for the pizza.
Is This Really A Couples Night?
Kandi and Todd Show up. Kenya invited Tanya and Paul to the couples bowling night but since Paul couldn’t come she didn’t let Tanya come. How convenient. She also didn’t invite Nene but invited Gregg. So clearly there are people there who are not with their partners. March throws Kenya under the bus by pointing out that Cynthia and Eva are their without their men. Cue the confessional with Porsha where she says that Dennis would never throw her under the bus like that. And if she didn’t like someone he would not either.
Marc says he “told” Kenya to invite everyone and he has been talking to
the enemy’s husband Gregg. Who does that? There are plenty of husbands whose partners are not attacking Kenya if he needs a friend. So Nene is not invited. The conversation is about how submissive Kenya is around Marc. Also, I have no idea why Kenya decided to wear what she is wearing.
An Unfortunate Sequence Of Events
Kenya walks up on the group and asks what they are talking about. Porsha changes the subject to Tanya not being allowed to come. Porsha talks about the unfortunate situation that led to Kenya and Tanya’s falling out. Kenya makes a smartass comment. Porsha says that calling her friend a cunt was very unfortunate. Kenya says it is not her battle.
Kenya gets a strike that has her and Marc win the game. Once again she is a poor winner. Dennis doesn’t seem to be feeling her victory dance. He also lost a bet with Marc that Marc says he doesn’t expect him to pay. He just wants his time I presume he means for his charity.Kenya says that she is happy that Marc is getting more involved in the Atlanta community.Marc calls Kenya, Ken, and tells her to reign it in about the Nene situation.
Of course Nene breezes in late with Gregg in tow acting like she is the guest of honor and goes around hugging everyone like they are best friends. Or like she is high as a kite. It’s hard to say. Gregg says he can’t come to the charity event if his wife is not invited. Marc makes Kenya stand right next to him while he says they need to shelve all the nonsense for Tuesday. And that he and Kenya both want Nene there. Kandi and Porsha both talk about how submissive “Ken” is when Marc is around. Nene says the same thing in her talking head because, “Ken shuts the fuck up.”
Next week: It is Eva’s baby shower. And at Marc’s Event he trashes Kenya and says he hates being married to her.
