60 Days In Recaps

January 18, 2020 by tamaratattles 29 Comments

Y’all. I just don’t know how to recap this season. I am too busy  watching with my jaw on the floor. This is by far the worst jail I have ever seen. They left a woman on her period naked in her cell on intake? The women’s cell seems a shit ton worse than the men’s!

I don’t see how we are going to  make it through the season with everyone tapping out on their first day or two. The scariest part is that they don’t even pat down the inmates before locking them up. And the bloody sheets… I can’t.

Just when I thought Alex might be fine… Le Sigh. And Dennis is in way over his head. Are you watching this? I can’t recap timely because it is on at a bad time. But also because I have no words and can’t take my eyes off the screen.

I’m watching. I am shooketh to the core also. I feel so bad for the marine. I wanted him to pull through, but he said it was just so bad in there.

The girl without the clothes/underwear is a little high maintenance. Who told her she couldn’t keep her bra or underwear on when she changed her clothes? She made that a problem from the jump. While I do think it’s f’ed up that they left her standing their naked she created some of her own issues. They way she wrote that grievance makes it so obvious that she’s a plant and not a real criminal. They are going to be on to her soon. The woman with the gluten issues, if she leaves, I don’t blame her. I mean, I get that it’s jail and all but they have to have other inmates with dietary issues? Not having food options is inhumane food is life.

There are plenty of correctional facilities that have thousands of men & women with dietary requirements that are not considered, much less catered or adhered to. I have a loved one who has been in prison in Ca for 25 yrs & is a type 1 diabetic & he is not allowed a special diet, yet they give special (religious)to those who ‘claim’ to be jewish or muslim. A religious diet is not a matter of life or death, however a diabetic requires a special diet since diabetes costs people their lives every day. Trust me when I say, they couldn’t care less about any inmates dietary needs.

It is horrible. The most disgusting sheets and towels.

When Alex accidentally signaled after his shower he looked like he was about to cry. I thought he’d been raped based on his facial expression.

Looks like Ashley gets pegged for 60 Days In.

Dennis is way too cocky. I thought the marine would go further but I don’t blame anyone for tapping out of that hell hole.

Yeah, the comments about writing a grievance with professionalism and using the military-style language was a huge tip off.

Not for nothing, lots of people with food issues who are not in jail cab’t get what they need to take care of their basic needs either.

I think the new sheriff who just took over the jail has been upfront that its in bad shape. Hopefully this will help them improve but the staff needs to help

I am shocked by the conditions and we didnt even get to what the inmates are capable of doing now we know they can smuggle in drugs and weapons. I am expecting every one to drop out, and the blonde with the pigtails is making too much of a fuss, it looks like next week she gets made. It looks dangerous as hell and cant even imagine what it smells like. Dont break the law, everyone!

Omgosh, I am on episode two, and the “oh boy, a reality show” sure doesn’t apply to this cast. This is SCARED STRAIGHT!!!!!
I’M glad they cut the entertainment and show real jail. Kudos for exposing this mess.

I just wish so much focus wasn’t on being weak or tapping out.
They are in jail, the viewers aren’t. I think it’s too much worry about how we will think of them.
That is sad. The purpose is getting lost. It shouldn’t be about “what it will look like”

I’m shocked that the college kid took a shower right away, good for him!! Really thought he’d be first to tap out, a good reminder that looks can be deceiving. But it looks like he gets jumped next episode, unless they were just going for the b-ball, hope so.

Looks like college football player is playing with fire. It was good to show that the CO’s are weak and won’t stand up to the inmates. How are they in control of those pods if they let an inmate steal soap and go through papers?! Unreal.

I was really hoping that the camera people would give the GF lady a granola bar or something, she must be STARVING! What a mess that jail is.

My husband went to jail a lot when he was younger. He’s saying this show looks about right and is saying grab all the toilet paper rolls you can get and use as pillows. Really surprised the guy who just went in is as brave as he is so far but I’m betting that doesn’t last long.

I’m in. I dont know what happened to me last season because I watched quite a few episodes…I’ll watch on demand at some point, I’m off Thursday morning next week, I’ll go home and sleep for on and off 24hrs. Hair appt Friday (way over due, gack!) Probably lunch with parents too and I need to get on these plans for my barn/studio! Staring down the barrel at 60 and although I’d like to think I could do 60 days? (Honestly, I probably could for a good cause). But my 60 years is going to have me happy in MY all about ME way GDI!

Thank you for clearing my Bravo schedule TT! I’m here for anything you write and open up for comments, xxoo to you and Banjo!

You can skip last season. It was weird and not the same format AT ALL. Like people were living in drug infested communities trying to get intel on the cartels. It would have been a decent show if it were just that, but it was not 60 Days In.

Agree, this prison is worst one yet. For all the insanity one thing stuck out to me. Most of the CO’s are either overweight or obese. CO Williams who left the woman naked, they sit on their asses all day & eat their food. I was shocked Williams quit mid shift, I will never forget her, she had zero professionalism & evil. The inmates totally run the asylum. I can’t wait to see it unfold.

This show is a phenomenal mess. My anxiety is at a 10 watching the show, I commend all the participants because I just couldn’t do it. When Alex went to sit next to the brothers and their facial expressions, I died. Now I understand why people who have been incarcerated always say, jail will get you fucked up before you even hit the yard. When Guard Williams told those people that she was going home, didn’t need to be there, it was a waste of her time…I thought I was done but then she said she’s ready to fight bitches too, I said lawd WTF?! Her wig was so stiff too, like ma’m those ladies will jump the shit out of you and then beat you with that dusty, dry wig. Brilliant show. Guard Williams said fuck these heifers, come at me. I cannot. I hope you’re doing well TT.

I would have tapped out once they put the handcuffs on I can not even imagine how high the anxiety and nerves would be to go in. Have they ever done a State run jail or just county prisons? I only started watching a season ago and the one on the drugs in the town. The show is an eye opener.
Seems a shame they aren’t made to do something with their time. THe sitting around doing nothing all that time isn’t good at all. Prisons need reformed all the way around.

This is the first season I’ve watched and I can’t believe what I’m seeing. Why would anyone agree to do this?? I can’t believe they’re letting a woman have no underwear and are basically starving another. What happens if one of them gets jumped? This show is horrifying and I can’t stop watching.

I know someone who moved to that county for the LOW TAX RATE! Waste and fraud are one thing but basic health and sanitation needs are another. After seeing what these poor inmates have to suffer–(those sheets!)….. I’m shook. This is an “invisible” problem that we never even think about unless we are involved in it or a family member. It’s actually fucking tragic. Those people are locked-up and have no way to tell the outside world, or if they do they are so busy trying to SURVIVE that even the effort to communicate is massive….

Seriously, if I for some strange reason had someone else’s BLOODY SHEET on my bed, like in a hotel or something, all I would have to do is send out a Tweet, or call room service, and someone would want to help. I had a muddy blanket after storm sandy and the Red Cross would not give me a blanket but people right here offered to help me figure it out. (I washed it in the bathtub).

Dang….and just like that right after I post this I find out that I’ve been summoned to this very county! I have an online class starting tomorrow but said I can go next Sunday if no one else can. If I do go out there, I will be bitching to everyone I see about the condition of the jail.

Dennis is one of the biggest racists I’ve ever seen. So typical for him to not take responsibility for his bad behavior but to put it on the white CO as being racist towards him. In actuality, the CO was doing his job and pointing out the behavior that Dennis needed to change. It had nothing to do with the color of his skin.
