It looks like this is an hour long prime time episode of WHHL to celebrate the 100th show. I can’t wait to see Rocky! I LOVE HER! There are fifteen former crew on the show. Plus Mary Anne is the bartender. I LOVE HER TOO! She is the sweetest person. I am going to be Adrienne is not there and that makes me sad.
Andy starts with just Captain Lee and Kate and asks Kate about Ashton’s behavior. BTW, Captain Lee is in his full regalia. Kate says she didn’t tell Captain Lee about what Ashton did because she is always accused of preferential treatment and if she had told him he would have fired Ashton. Then she would have to hear about how she got Ashton fired. When Captain Lee is asked how he felt after seeing what happened he said, “I was terribly disappointed.” Really? Someone was sexually assaulted and your response is, “that’s disappointing?” Sheesh.
ROCKY!
We start with season one and as predicted the fuckers did not invite Adrienne. Kat has apparently flunked out of nursing school. Shocker. Season two was bad. Kate was just awful to her stews.
Rocky from season three is there! I LOVE HER SO MUCH. I also like Leon, so sue me. Eddie was a misogynistic POS. Rocky is now a massage therapist and a yoga teacher. I would gladly fly to her for either of those services. Did I mention that I love Rocky? Oh she lives in Hawaii now. Eddie the worst. Well, the worst is hard to pick but I hate him. Captain Lee says he would “hire Eddie again.” That is the problem.
LIES, ALL LIES.
Then there is this HUGE LIE about whether or not the guests complain about how they were treated. There were a few seasons where the guests were treated so horribly they reached out to me! There was a season where the guests were treated so horribly they filled me in on everything. I thought I posted about it but I can’t find it. Captain Lee and Kate trashed them to hell and back during the whole season. I think it was when Amy was there. But I got LOTS of emails from passengers. Then they started “auditioning” passengers.
I’m Bored
Season… five? I think we are up to now has blond Jenn as bruenette Jen. She is still working in yachting despite her incompetence. Jen is clueless about why she is perceived as clueless. She is a chief stew now. Kate says she is still in touch with Hot Jesus. Nico has a new girlfriend of two years. Kate and Jenn are good friends.
Josiah from season six is out of the hospitality field and living his best life with some dude who has his own yacht. Adrian is still a private chef but not on boats. He flies here and there cooking for rich folk. What NO ONE SEEMS TO REMEMBER is that RHYLEE saved that piece of shit Ashton’s life when she gave her MAN OVERBOARD call immediately. OTHERWISE HE WOULD BE DEAD. It’s all about how distressed Captain Lee is.
And apparently the dick hands or any of season seven was invited. WE NEED THAT REUNION BRAVO! This was dissapointing other than getting to see Rocky. Maybe I should move to Hawaii?Um not in a creepy way.. I an old enough to be her grand..much older sister.
ARE THEY REALLY NOT HAVING A REUNION WITH RHYLEE?
LOVED this! I had mixed feelings about Rocky, maybe because of her alliance with Leon who I thought was terrible. She looked beautiful! But I thought that her reaction to Kate tonight was a little aggressive/defensive. I was disappointed that some people did not join the show (like the current season crew since their season makes up part of the 100 episodes). Maybe that means we will get a reunion? I thought I was NOT shocked that Caroline was missing. Wonder if they even invited her. Amy looked amazing. Loved the 80’s vibe. All the women looked fantastic. Way better than most of the Housewives!
I am excited for the sailing version of Below Deck. Looks interesting.
You make an excellent point TT about Rhylee and her life saving call. She deserves acknowledgement.
When the Capt asked her tomrepeat, she didn’t. It was the camera guy who put down the camera and untied the line, not Rhylee.
But Rhylee kept her cool.and very calmly radioed man over board to let everyone know that there was a problem. Asshat was very grateful at the time but now seems to think that him having a larger appendage between his legs than she does that not only can he treat her like crap he has encouraged the rest of his deck crew can too! Sure as heck isn’t how I would treat someone who played a major role in saving my life. How soon he’s forgotten about her role in saving his life. Asshat is a true scum bag!
If Rhylee hadn’t called “man overboard,” the Captain wouldn’t have shut the engine down and Ashton would be dead. He is such a prick for treating Rhylee poorly.
On an After Show interview regarding Ashton’s overboard accident, Rhylee very much downplays her role while emphasizing it was a whole crew effort to save him. In contrast, Ashton states while he is grateful for what Rhylee did, she didn’t carry it out appropriately. THIS, is Ashton this season in a nutshell.
Just when I was liking Kate, I starting disliking her more and more as the show went on. At the end she was just the worst! It was crazy that so many former stews liked her so much.
I loved that Rocky kinda called her on her fakeness.
Crazy that former stews like her now. Actually, that should tell you something.
I still remember what my AP English teacher told parents on open house night in the fall. I know what she said, because I later taught with her.
She told parents that she and their kids were still in the honeymoon stage. By Winter Break, expect lots of complaints. By March or April? Full on I hate my teacher! She is sooo mean! Then the AP test. Begrudging statements that she wasn’t so bad and thoughts that they did OK. Test results in the summer, and even if they didn’t pass, by winter break the following year after their first semester or quarter in college, it would be I LOVE HER and visits over the break.
She was exactly right. I was one of those former students who showed up in her class when I got home from college. There were at least 5 of us that day.
Capt Lee and Kate are disgustingly in sync. They obviously planned what to say together about each ex-crew member. And Kate is so jealous that Josiah snagged a Captain. Mary Ann should not have had to stand all that time behind the bar area and really wasn’t necessary for her to even be there unless she was keeping an eye on Kate and Capt Lee. Really seemed like a motley crew who definitely have aged out at this point. Kate especially looks haggard and old.
Nope. Not watching anymore.
I’m not trustful of your interpretation of anything. So many wrong takes! 1. Lee and Kate being in sync isn’t disgusting. It is what happens when you are coworkers and you both work hard. Plus, they’ve both been through the wringer this past year. 2nd. Josiah didn’t land a Captain. He landed a rich guy who lives in Spain, and she hardly seemed “jealous”. 3rd. Your nasty brained implication that Mary Ann is worried one smidge about Kate and Lee together couldn’t be further from the truth. Keep an eye on in a protective manner perhaps, as Mary Ann would have every reason to be Team Kate especially after the death of her and Lee’s son..
I totally agree with this statement.
Oh Captain. I used to really admire you. Still respect how you love and honor your wife. That’s all I got. Kate – Le sigh. You are so witty. Why use it in such a negative way? This used to be my favorite Bravo show. No more.
I haven’t watched this yet, but I do know that Captain Lee has been livid about Ashton, the dicks, and even Kevin on Twitter the last couple of weeks.
TT do you think Bravo can have a reunion at this point the way social media has blown up with backlash over the way Ashton treated both Kate and Rhylee? I just wondered about it from a liability standpoint…which Bravo has always escaped any liability over things in the past (NeNe has put hands on people), but I just wondered since all of the #Metoo attention if it would even be wise to have a reunion. The elephant in the room would be the misogyny…Ashton forcing his tongue down Kate’s throat, Ashton on the verge of physically assaulting Kate in the van, Ashton’s horrific treatment of Rhylee. You know much more about Bravo and the liabilities involved in these shows and the contracts they sign. What’s your take as far as them doing a reunion as far as things went this season?
For some reason, we usually don’t get Below Deck reunions consistently. This would be the season to have one in my opinion. But Captain Lee has said they haven’t heard anything yet. That 100th episode show may have been all we get.
I am guessing that even if it is in his contract to appear at one, it would be difficult to enforce from wherever Ashton is hiding in South Africa. Isnt that where he is from?
It is where he is from. But he lives in FLL now last I heard. South Africa men, are a lot like Carribean men in that women’s rights not to be treated like ornaments and dicksuckers hasn’t quite made it there yet.
What a snore fest other than “seeing” everyone. Did anyone ask Amy anything? Is she still dating that boat captain? Damn, I blinked and she was gone. Tamara, I don’t recall seeing anything about the guests complaining so I’ll have to go back and click the links. Thanks Tamara
Found it interesting that other than Capt Lee all other cast members were subjected to an audition process to be on the show.
I look forward to a change of pace with Below Deck Sailing as I do think that to refresh the Below Deck/Below Deck Med a season or two+ without Capt Lee/Yawn and Kate/Hannah should be considered. These personalities have become too predictable and in essence have run their course. And no I’m not advocating for Jen as chief stew.
An unknown show just starting out? No yacht owner would let them use it without SOME control, ie hand picked captain to make sure they didn’t shipwreck the boat.
Gotta love Eddie,, I think there may have been a hint of him making a return? Rocky is still bat shit crazy the way she came at Kate. Kate played it off well I thought.
Adrianne was indeed invited but she is actually a working yacht chef and is in the middle of a charter. She doesn’t need this show.
Kat was such an asshole that she was basically blackballed from the yachting industry and can’t get a job.
Thanks for the heads up! Rumor has it Ben is also blackballed. Allegedly. That is why he is suddenly working on land.
I had no idea she had chef skills. I don’t recall her challenging Ben or acting as a sous to help out. Not mentioning it is a credit to her character. Not bragging about it even more.
It was gratifying to see that Capt. Lee has seen Ashton’s true colors. He has said he won’t work with him again. I don’t think Production will hose him with a “who’s behind door #2” next season because of #metoo and potential lawsuits.
I think the main reason for Ashton’s crappy misogynistic behavior is because the girls on deck — and at the clubs — chose Tanner and Bryan over him. He is so used to being the Stud of the Sea in his little aquarium life that he can’t handle not being Chippendale Prima Ballerina.
I loved seeing a few of the past crew
Rocky … she is something special. But I didn’t hear her laugh, which was one of the best things.
Dave… He remains one of my favorite deckhands — tied with Colin on BDMed.
Amy… but I was disappointed we didn’t hear more from her.
Eddie’s hairdo made him look like a weirdo. I would like to see him back as SEASON 1 Eddie.
I wish MaryAnn would have been allowed to break out some of her master bartender moves.
I always loved Dave too! I was glad to see him on WWHL. He and Colin both seem like all around nice human beings.
I just now got around to watching this show tonight, but whoa! There was a significant new bit of info when they replayed Ashton’s accident scene that we did not know before. It was NOT Rhylee who first said, “Man overboard.” Right as Ashton slid off the platform, you can hear a male voice (probably the cameraman, was his name Brent?) saying, “Hold on. Man overboard.” Then Rhylee says it. Then Josiah repeats it (in the galley), and the captain says, “What?” We did not hear that male voice when they aired this scene on the main show. Then the cameraman says, “Take it off. Take it off now,” meaning the line, which he runs down and unties. You can see he has set down his camera.
All the more credit to the cameraman! Obviously he was mic’d, or we wouldn’t have been able to hear him in this version. I guess they edited him out for the main show. I guess we don’t know if the captain heard him, but it’s definitely there in the tape–and he probably was making an official call to the captain, since he used the official lingo of “man overboard.”
If you still have this in your DVR, watch it again starting at 00:52.
