This is the last Married to Medicine recap of the season! I’m so sad. After last week’s two parter, I can’t wait to see how they’ll top that! We get the women backstage after last week’s fight between Simone and Heavenly. Contessa had carried Heavenly out of the room to avoid a fight. Jackie leaves the room to avoid the chaos and get her makeup touched up. Heavenly comes back in the room a little calmer. She and Simone patch things up. To celebrate, Simone tackles Heavenly to the floor where Quad straddles both of them. This is true friendship! I love how they can fight hard then love so hard.
Here Come The Husbands
The guys come out on stage to sit behind their wives. We get caught up on how Cecil and Simone’s marriage only got better due to the friendships on the show. That is the truth since we all witnessed their marriage being saved during a reunion a few years ago. Jackie and Curtis had to postpone their south of France trip due to having no roof on their house. Construction is apparently super slow. Andy points out to Quad that Cecil mentioned how Dr. G is still in love with her. Quad tears up. Andy asks Quad point blank: are you still in love with Greg? Quad opens her mouth to answer …and we go to commercial! Freakin’ Andrew.
Quad doesn’t directly answer but she says she likes to hear that the good times they had mattered. Hmmm. A few questions come in about Mariah and Aydin’s religion. Mariah grew up Christian, Aydin Muslim. They have infused both religions into their household. Lake calling Quad a ho during Ramadan is brought up. Mariah begins to blame production for showing only that part of dinner on the show. Andy calls her out for deflecting. We all saw that Quad was discussed during that dinner. Mariah insists that she didn’t want to talk about Quad during Ramadan.
Aydin tries to talk but Quad won’t stop talking. He tells her to be quiet, which Heavenly and Quad take exception to. After more talking over each other, Aydin finally gets to speak. He says that it was a tiny part of a longer dinner. After all that, that’s all Aydin gets to say. Mariah says she won’t even talk about their religion on the show because they don’t have the support. It’s seemingly implied that Heavenly said something about it? Heavenly denies it. IF Mariah and Aydin are too uncomfortable to discuss their religion on the show, then that’s a damn shame.
The Seats Are Smoking Hot For Contessa And Scott
Now for the moment a lot of you have been waiting for: Contessa and Scott in the hot seat! I hope Contessa doesn’t cry because those lashes just won’t allow for that. Andy asks her what we were all thinking: why not an Atlanta school? Contessa says the only school that had her specific program was in Nashville. Toya is the only one who said that she didn’t agree with Contessa going to Nashville. Contessa will be done with her program by the end of the summer.
When asked about her comments about Scott making her quit the Navy, we get dangerously close to those tarantula lashes coming off. She tears up, saying that she always dreamed of being Secretary of the Navy. Scott had moved to Atlanta and after their second child was born, he didn’t want to move anymore. The Navy was going to move her so she quit. Toya then speaks up saying that when you’re married, you have to make big decisions together. It’s about the family, not just the individual anymore. Contessa seems to agree with that. Toya is all of us during this segment.
No Sex In The Champagne Room-Or A Cabo Strip Club
The Cabo/strip club adventure is highlighted. Damn that stripper was ballsy asking Daddy if he wanted sex! Bejesus. Heavenly just saw the episode now and you can see how pissed off she is. She doesn’t like anyone looking or feelin’ on daddy. Everyone agrees that they felt a little giddy watching Daddy and Heavenly have some problems after pretending they don’t have many. Heavenly insists that if one of these women on the show were to cheat, she wouldn’t get caught. She says that men aren’t detail oriented so the women are already three steps ahead of them. I mean, none of the women seem like cheaters to me. After Heavenly saying that so adamantly, I’m now wondering who it is!
The men leave the stage. Our ladies using their mad doctoring skills with Buffie, Contessa’s dad and Toya is our next montage. Contessa’s dad is so happy with his smile that Heavenly gave him. Toya used to see Jackie for her OB/GYN needs but now sees Simone. After how caring and supportive Simone was with her miscariage, I can see why. Simone discussing consent to her sons is brought up. I know that as a mom of two boys, that was something that hit home to personally. I had that talk with my 14 year old son the next day.
Married To Medicine LA Will Be Back
The ladies go to L.A for a Married To Medicine LA crossover. Ugh. Heavenly argues with one of the cast members, so it may be worth tuning into. We near the close of the reunion with what the ladies hope for the next season. Everyone is hopeful for mending fences with who they need to mend fences with. Jackie ends it by recognizing that growth is good. All these women have grown and changed, which is a good thing. Andy says he loves these M2M reunions because they genuinely leave the reunions in a better place than when they came in. I agree Andrew, I agree.
That’s a wrap! Thank you so much for reading and commenting. I’ll miss you all more than you know! Hopefully Tamara will have me back for Summer House. Much different show but equally entertaining. It looks soooo good this season! Wishing you all the best in this new year! Let’s keep this party going in the comments. Feel free to hit me up on my Twitter as well!
