I suppose it is time to get caught up on all of last night’s Bravo recaps. I’ll start with the RHONJ recap. I have no idea why they decided to post three new episodes last night. That’s a lot! This episode is going to be about a sad Easter, so I may not have a lot to say. The episode starts with everyone finding out that Joe Giudice’s deportation appeal has been denied. Of course we all knew that. And Joe is currently shopping at Fendi in Italy.
Jennifer’s brother comes over to give Olivia a piano lesson. Gabby continues to be bullied at school. We learn that her brother is gay. He refused to work in the family music business and instead found his tribe in musical theater. Gabby finds out on national TV that her uncle is gay.
Bad Company
Why is Danielle Staub on my TV? Teresa goes for drinks to catch up. Teresa doesn’t want to tell Audriana about Joe’s inevitable deportation. For some reason product seems to think we care about Danielle and Marty. Danielle tells Teresa they are getting along. Margaret and Joe have Marty over for dinner to give his side. Danielle says that “Oliver” is going to cosign with her to buy Marty’s house. Marty refuses to confirm or deny if he is sleeping with Danielle.

Jackie takes her kids to visit her father. Everything in his fridge is expired. This reminds me I need to go through my pantry again. But there are fifty billion other more pressing things to do in this shack. Then we get to see her dad fat shaming her by playing old videos. Why does production think that exploiting someone’s eating disorder in front of their children on national TV is okay? It’s vile. Jackie nearly died from her eating disorder. He seems to think it was “worth it.” He’s an asshole.
Easter Without Joe Giudice
I really don’t think Gia gets how bad ICE detention centers are. If she did, she wouldn’t still be trying to keep her father there. He called her five times the day before. He has served his time, let him take his deportation and get to Italy where he can be free! Teresa says that Joe blames her for not getting him his green card. Joe Gorga tries to explain to Gia that he is rotting in a hell hole with no hope of staying in the country. She doesn’t want to accept that reality. It’s hard for her to accept.

To make things worse, Teresa’s dad is in poor health. And he is drinking hot sauce straight from the bottle. Melissa and her brood show up with sprinkle cookies. Teresa hates sprinkle cookies. But the kids love them, and this year she didn’t throw them in the garage.
Sprinkle Cookies & A Sad Call From Joe
Teresa doesn’t seem to know how to prayer. She did may lollipop lamb chops for dinner which sounds delicious. Audriana says her dad makes them better. That ham also looks delicious. Joe calls and apparently Nono made the lamb chops not Teresa. She tells Joe his are better. Nono seems displeased, but he is barely breathing and should probably be on the way to the ER. I have gotten many tips about Nono over the past year about his hospitalizations. They are always ominous and scary. Anyway Nono jokingly calls Audriana a liar and everyone laughs.

There were lots of humorous moments on the call with Joe. It was very sweet. But Joe Gorga is the first to break down crying. This sets everyone else off crying as well. Audriana really loses it after she hangs up. Gia takes her off camera. Audriana wants to see her dad before he leaves for Italy. As much as Teresa has tried to keep her from knowing about the deportation, she knows.
Joe really has been stepping up for his sister and the kids. He’s doing way more for his dad as well. It’s great to see this family come together. Audriana hears Teresa and Joe debating whether or not Audriana should go to ICE and talk to her father “behind the glass.” Audrina asks her mom if she will tell her if her dad gets deported. Nono has to go lie down and take some oxygen.
Joe talks about the sprinkle cookies and how they don’t sweat the small stuff anymore. Then he force feeds Teresa a sprinkle cookie.
Easter With The Ex & The Next
Dolores has cut the apron strings for good and no longer cooks on holidays. She has it catered. Meanwhile Frank has decided to get the whole family in on pestering David to marry Dolores. He’s running late so everyone is pissed off. This is what dating a doctor is like. Also, Easter eggs should be hidden not just tossed around the yard. Sigh.
Next week: Once again Gia has to be the adult in the room when Joe and Teresa argue and he says he never wanted to marry her in the first place. Melissa and Joe consider having another baby. Margaret dumps a drink on the prostitution whore. She responds by yanking Margaret’s hair. Gee, I can’t wait for more brawling.
Did anyone else notice the cartier bracelets necklaces & rings on Teresa & her daughters? I saw 3 Cartier bracelets on Teresa’s right hand alone…. WTF??
I certainly did. There was a photo of her in one of the tabloids last summer at the Jersey shore wearing a Fendi swimsuit. They said between the Cartier and other expensive jewelry, she was wearing about $100k worth. To the beach. Yet she whines about paying for college and Joe’s appeal!
Not bad for a felon…. just like the fully loaded Lexus suv with a freaking bow on it waiting for her in driveway when she got out of prison. WTF is that $ coming from?
Sickening, isn’t it? In her case crime paid-off BIG TIME! At least financially. How else in the world would this sleazy, illiterate, criminal gain the attention of major NYC publishing houses to hire ghostwriters for her cookbooks & “memoir”? Yet she barely cooks! They’ve mostly shown her mother, father or husband cooking on RHONJ over the years. But she’s a “NYTine Best Seller”, living in a McMansion, flaunting designer clothes, bags, jewels & even cars. Ok then. Our society has completely gone mad!
I don’t miss actual bling EVER! Love Cartier but again have to wonder where that money came from. It does tend to get lost in what I hope is Canal Street counterfeit junk… does Chanel really make that crap?
i couldn’t focus on anything else that happened because that bling angered me so much
You don’t have to go to Canal Street to buy all that crap. Amazon and Instagram. Those Gucci, Hermes, and LV belts are all over Amazon.
Search ‘nail bracelet’ on Amazon and all that fake Cartier jewelry will pop up.
The Easter dinner at Teresa’s when Joe called was heartbreaking. I truly feel for those children.
Erk, Jackie’s father? When the kids mentioned ‘Papi’s wet kisses’ I just about barfed. He’s got that look about him, like he’s constantly moistening his lips. Just yuck. Those poor kids. Not to mention what Jackie has been through. That didn’t feel right to me, either, watching her and her kids listen to Papi’s commentary about her weight .
Speaking of weight, and modeling healthy lifestyle, how does that work at Jackie’s ‘plastic makes perfect ‘ house? Is she going to encourage her kids down the route she’s taken? Poor Gabi really needs help atm, with the bullying she’s experiencing. And the gay brother /uncle? That poor man was really overweight in the photos we saw of him when he was younger. I bet he went through hell, and still is with the lack of acceptance or recognition from the parents. The kids are fortunate to have him around. Perhaps, now that Gabi and the world knows he’s gay, there will be some healthy dialogue about bullying and body image. I hope he becomes an ally to Gabi.
Not interested in seeing Danielle’s latest machinations with men .I’m with Margaret. How dare she assume that the house should be hers as part of her ‘legacy ‘. And what’s with that word ?it seems to come out of the mouths of grifters all to frequently ie. Sheree.
The one thing I learned in this episode? Gia is an amazing bug sister, she is almost more loving to her sisters than Teresa is and they are her daughters. I want nothing but amazing things for Gia out of life. Teresa got lucky with that one.
My heart breaks for Gia. I am the oldest child, oldest cousin and I know how it is to have to take on more than you should at young ages. She won’t even realize how much she took on for quite a few years. I’m so glad she was able to go away to college, I hope she sticks with it.
I meant to comment on this. Gia is taking on the role her mother should be filling. Teresa seems disengaged to me. With her kids, I mean. I wonder who’s doing the real parenting when the cameras aren’t rolling ? Nono and Gia? Teresa doesn’t seem able to parent beyond the really basic stuff. Gia is a blessing. I just hope she isn’t taking on too much. And Nono looked really unwell. What was with the hot sauce, btw?
Teresa is a dolt and a narcissist. Both of which should NEVER have children! She doesn’t have a clue what to say to her daughters, the dumb bitch. Melania barely tolerates her.
This episode made me cry, I guess I do have a heart.
I am loving me some Jennifer! Hopefully everyone else is too and that we can get rid of Dolores. She is the epitome of what the rest of Jersey doesn’t want to be associated with (aside from Joe and Teresa). She has no story anyway so who would miss her? She can take Danielle with her. Get some new blood in there.
Delores is too busy telling everyone she doesn’t give a shit about anything and nothing bothers her even a cheating husband and a boyfriend who doesn’t answer her calls.
Wasnt Easter at Teresa’s a cry-fest too? That was a very sad situation. I appreciate Gia’s fervor in wanting her dad back, but she is really too young to handle the whole situation, and as much as people say she is so grown up she is really still very young. I feel for Joe Gorga, he has his hands full. Of course the girls break my heart.
Jackie’s father seemed like a dirt bag to me. Poor Jackie too.
Can we discuss Teresa’s burnt ham and bad lamb lollipops? She toots her horn about what a great cook she is, but her food was burnt. The camera showed the burnt ham several times.
I noticed that too…. fabulicious it wasn’t
That Easter dinner made me cry too. When Joe Gorga got upset talking to Joe Guidice, it made me break down. And every time they flash back to the day Joe had to turn himself in and Melania crying in the window is so heart breaking 🙁 It was really good to see them all having a dinner together with no fighting and how much all the kids enjoy being together, like when Antonia was hugging Gabriella during the phone call that was so sweet. Side note, those boys of Joe’s are so handsome! And I too worry about Nono after seeing him on last nights episode. He looked really bad 🙁
Teresa admits very often that she just wants to make her daughters happy. She doesn’t “mother” or “parent”, so it’s no wonder what we see doesn’t make sense. It’s why she likes to be silly, or take “pit-tures” and wants to be happy!! That’s her world.
Every time I see Nonno, he breaks my heart. Even when his wife was alive. There is something about him. I have no idea why he drinks hot sauce straight from the bottle, that is way to hot for me.
I notice all of Teresa’s girls are very polite, respectful and very loving to all of their family members. Even Gabrielle was stroking Milania’s hair. They all look out for each other and I really think these girls will be fine.
I actually love all the children on this show.. or any of the HW shows.
One more thing. They brought up cookie-gate b’c they had them on the table for Easter dinner. I had no idea that those were the cookies that they fought over years ago.
I hate those damn cookies, they are drab, dry and boring. They are also in every store I go to, like everywhere! I’m on Melissa’s side with this, Teresa was wrong and very rude to say she thew them in the garbage.
When people have given them to me in the past, I just give them away to someone who likes them, or put them out for people to eat. I probably even bought them as a token gift for someone out of desperation for not finding something.
Oh, and that strawberry cheesecake looked good, so I think sprinkle cookies are just a thing here to sit on a table, almost like a tradition, a bad one, but it seems everyone here has them.
Okay, I was in charge of dessert. I told my sister all the nice desserts I was bringing. I said no sprinkle cookies b’c no one eats them. Then, Christmas Day, I go there, and what does my sister have out on the dessert table? Sprinkle cookies! I told her why did you run out and get them, no one eat them. She had no answer for me. Nobody even touched them, no one brought any home, and they will end up in the garbage!
So, I have come to the conclusion after all these years, Teresa was right! She was rude how she went about it, but she’s right.. most of those cookies end up in the garbage.
