How is it time for another RHOA recap again? I feel like I just did one. Even though I don’t remember a thing about it. On tonight’s episode, we get to see the scene with Nene and Marlo at the Central Park Boathouse where Nene caused a disturbance and left. Of course, if you read Tamara Tattles, you already knew about this. Click here if you missed those spoilers.
But first, Nene has to go approach Cynthia on the NYC Pride float. Surprisingly, it is all very cordial. She made small talks with Noelle and Noelle asked her mother after if that was okay. Cynthia said of course! I am a bit surprised by this polite exchange. I totally expected drama. Nene even talked positively about Cynthia in her talking head. What is going on here? There is no civility on RHOA! Of course Nene was out in the NYC streets giving interviews to the press saying ugly things about Cynthia.
After the excitement of the NYC Pride parade, we head back to Atlanta for Porsha’s therapy. This time Dennis is not there. Porsha talks about how angry she is about Dennis cheating while she is pregnant. The therapist suggests she not make any life altering decisions while she is still dealing with the anger and resentment toward Dennis. Porsha clearly wants PJ to have her father in her life. But she is not ready to forgive Dennis. Porsha cries and says she is so depressed she doesn’t want to go to work, but she doesn’t have that option.
When the therapist says that she needs to consider everything before she closes the door on Dennis forever. Porsha says “the door is bolted.” Porsha is looking for a good nanny who can be the go between with PJ’s parents. Well, we all know that bolted door is wide open now.
Mama Knows Best
Kenya goes to visit Kandi at her house. Out of all the women on this show, Kandi has been Kenya’s closest confident when it comes to men. When Matt Jordan was breaking windows and tearing up Kenya’s home, Kandi was who Kenya called crying. SIGH. Already Kenya is being strange about Brooklyn’s birthday. She tells Kandi it is November 3. But, um, she’s always said it was November 4th, hasn’t she? This is the kind of stuff that is just bizarre when it comes to Kenya. Kandi says her baby is due in November too! In fact the baby was born last Friday!
Then the topic moves on to Marc Daly. Kandi doesn’t seem to be a fan. Marc seems to want to micromanage the care and feeding of Brooklyn. Kandi has tried to tell Marc that he has to let Kenya mother her child. Marc apparently undoes anything Kenya does for the baby. Marc doesn’t seem to want any alone time with Kenya. Kandi says that Kenya is very submissive to Marc.
Cynthia and Eva go to dinner at Tao Restaurant in NYC. When they get to the table, Eva asks why the table is set for three. Girl you knew who was filming in this scene. Marlo is coming and Eva says she is leaving when Marlo arrives. Cynthia can’t figure out why Marlo invited her to dinner since she is in town with Nene. They order without her and pregnant Eva orders almost $200 worth of food. Marlo arrives and Eva takes her food and goes to eat at the bar. But not before Marlo helps herself to some of Eva’s duck.
Marlo trashes Eva the secnd she leaves. Marlo tells Cynthia about the kids she is raising now. Not sure how she is doing that from NYC. Cynthia says that she is tired of making the first move to reconcile with Nene. I love when Marlo wears the most hideous ensembles just because they cost a lot of money. Now that she has secured a Bravo bag, she probably doesn’t even leave the tags on and take them back to the store the next day. Marlo and Cynthia hug it out after Marlo pledges to be friends with both Cynthia and Nene. Cynthia, gurl. Don’t believe her! Nene is not going to like this one bit.
Get to Peddling, I Am Outta Here!
Nene arrives at a jam packed Central Park Boathouse. She sits down and starts screaming as some kids about cursing. Really? Marlo arrive dress like a disco ball with way too much side boob going on. Ha! Right after I wrote that, Nene had a talking head about her coming to the boathouse dressed for Studio 54. I’m not sure what Nene is wearing but at least it isn’t a men’s white t-shirt tied in a knot.
Marlo updates Nene on her dinner with Cynthia. Nene does have a point though. Cynthia (and Kandi) have both trashed Nene on social media and podcasts and interviews. So Nene doesn’t feel as though she should be the only one who apologizes. Fair enough. Nene “cries” in her talking head about her relationship with Cynthia. No wonder she can’t land an acting role.
When Marlo tells Nene that both Cynthia and Nene were wrong and they both need to apologize. And that is when things start to go left. Nene tells Marlo she needs to stay out of it. Nene blesses Marlo out for implying that the situation is all Nene’s fault. It is all Nene’s fault! Now Nene is pissed with Marlo. Girl, you know Marlo’s role this season is to carry the bones back and forth between you and everyone else. Everything is your fault including Marlo having to make nice with at least one of the girls on the other side But Nene just storms out of the restaurant and gets in a pedicap and books.
The Baby Sister Dance
Kandi and Todd take Ace to the surrogates check up. Dr. Jackie shows the baby on a sonogram. She goes through the whole process of what to expect during delivery. I watched a video today that Kandi made while the surrogate was beginning labor. The whole family was in a room directly across the hall. Kandi was going back and forth and was in the room during delivery. Todd opted not to be in the room. Then, Kandi and the baby will do skin on skin contact immediately.
While all of this is going on, Kenya texts Kandi asking her to please come over because she is very upset. Kandi is shocked that she will not see the surrogate again after she gets the baby. It seems that Ace selected the baby’s name, Blaze.
When Kandi arrived at Kenya’s house, Kenya was all smiles and laughter. I’m confused. Kandi is confused. Everything about Kenya is confusing. Kenya and Kandi both want boob reductions. I do too but I am terrified by surgery. Finally, Kenya opens up about Marc. During the last trimester of her pregnancy he stopped having sex with her. Apparently, they haven’t had sex since. Kenya went on her anniversary trip to the Turks and Caicos with Brooklyn and without Marc. She makes it sound like she went alone but I am pretty sure her GBF, Brandon went with her.
Kenya seems like she is jealous of Brooklyn. I mean, jealous of the affection she gets while he gives her none. When Kandi tells her to tell Marc how she feels, Kenya breaks down. She has tried. Kenya says it escalates into an argument and Marc says really ugly things to her. Kenya says he crosses the line during argument. Kandi is really a good friend to Kenya. She talks about her first year of marriage to Todd and says it was really difficult. By the end of the talk Kenya is laughing and crying both. Kenya cries about not being protected as a child and she wants to protect Brooklyn.
Next week: Rhylee gets her own apartment. Someone stirs the pot with Cynthia and Nene. Kenya comes for Eva. I forget why those two don’t get along, but I wish they would. Kenya also gets into it with Cynthia. Eva and Marlo go for another round. It’s just a lot of bitch fighting.
