Glorietta & Alex
It’s time for the final Love After Lockup recap of the season. This season Alex has shown Glorietta all the signs that he is not interested in pursuing are relationship with her outside the prison walls. Glorietta’s BFF has already figured out that Alex has a girlfriend. She has not told Glorietta yet. Alex’s BFF wonders why Alex hasn’t told Glorietta yet instead of just constantly picking fights with her.
Glorietta only occasionally gets angry with Alex, and quickly gets over it. After all, she is very busy planning her wedding. The groom seems to be the least of her concerns with regard to that, When she does remember she has a groom and he has been scarce, she goes to look for in at his place. His place is apparently an RV that is parked at a towing company. Glorietta finds out about the other woman. I would think not knowing where he was for a few days might have been a hint. Glorietta’s mom wants to slam him with a metal chair like a WWE wrestler.
When Mom’s Attack!
Glorietta knows where Alex is with the other woman and she is going there to confront him. She walks up to the table and introduces herself to Juliana. She asks Alex if he is on a date with Juliana. He says, “As a matter of fact I am!” She asks Juliana if she is aware they are engaged. She says yes. They decide to end things rather amicably and then Glorietta’s mom jumps up and starts wailing glasses at Alex. Glorietta’s mom and Glorietta get thrown out. Then Juliana appears to dump Alex for lying to her about having ended his engagement. Glorietta tells up she remains open to dating other prisoners. After the show ended, Glorietta reconnected with an ex. Juliana and Alex are no longer speaking. After filming ended, Alex was arrested for multiple felonies.
Angela & Tony
Angela finally got to pick up Tony from prison this year after failing to get out on a previous season. She took him to dinner and then to the halfway house. He immediately went AWOL to be with another woman. He was since returned to the halfway house and completed his time there. Angela picked him up and brought him home to her house and gave him a fancy motorcycle after he explained that the other women was just a random one off.
On the second part of the finale, Tony calls Angela and asks her to meet him at the beach to talk. Tony proposes for the first time in person. Then, Tony tells us that is is going to be hard to be faithful though. Tony says that Angela is so in love with him that she will forgive him for anything. He’s probably right. They celebrate by drinking cheap champagne out of the bottle.
Later, Tony borrows Angela’s car to go to “therapy.” Instead he goes to a motel room to hook up with another woman. Angela calls to see how his therapy is going. You don’t take calls while getting therapy. But he say it is going great. He hangs up and giggles with his girlfriend. He must have forgotten he is wearing a microphone. Since filming ended Tony and Angela are planning their wedding. Some sites are reporting that these two got married this month on the 11th. Before Angela saw the episode.
John, Lacey & Shane
Lacey has a prisoner fetish and seems to have created an entire brood of criminals children. She also collect engagement rings but never gets married. She got engaged to John first and then got engaged to Shane. Lacey finally decided on Shane. He is much more compliant. Then she started slapping John around. She also had John take a paternity test for one of her tribe. She’s supposed to marry Shane in a week. I will believe it when I see it.
Lacey goes home and gets Shane all worked up telling a very exaggerated version of the story. Shane is going to end up back in jail for his whore. Lacey opens the paternity results with Shane. She says she doesn’t want it to be John’s. But I think she will marry John if it is. John is NOT the father. That means that poor 21 year old Shane’s life is going to get a lot worse.
Will This Wedding Actually Happen?
On the second part of the finale, it’s Wedding Time. I don’t remember seeing Lacey shop for and actually buy wedding stuff. It looks like a production planned fiasco. Especially the part where Lacey decides to call John in her wedding dress right before the wedding and tell him that Maury Pauvitch says He is NOT the father! Then she tells John she is about to walk down the aisle. Of course that will cause John to show up.
Lacey’s dad walks her down the aisle and gives her away. Or someone does. If that was her dad he looks much better in a tux. For some odd reason, production chooses to play Amazing Grace in the background during the vows and confessionals. Lacey says she is done with bad boys and is totally into her child groom, John did not show up at the wedding. John says he gives them a month. Lacey and Shane are happily married and trying to breed more unfortunate children. John has not given up hope. When I went to look for a wedding photo I read that these two are already knocked up.
Cheryl & Josh
Former stripper and drug addict Cheryl has been somehow paying for Josh, the bank robber in prison. Now that he is out she has had to leave her brood and drive across the country to be with him while he is on house arrest. Since the house is his mommy’s house and mommy doesn’t like Cheryl she has to stay in a hotel. Oh and he owes about $84,0000 in restitution. How did she land a catch like this?
Josh is thinking about proposing to Cheryl. They go a castle to consider a wedding venue, even though they are not engaged. Cheryl doesn’t know why the people are talking about this place as wedding venue. Cheryl says the castle is too dangerous and public for a wedding venue. Josh has a hissy fit and decides not to propose. Apparently, their differing opinions on what constitutes a cool castle is the end of this relationship. Cheryl leaves Josh climbing around on the crappy little castle like a kid at a jungle gym while Cheryl rides off into the sunset. Cheryl went back to Texas. But the two reconciled shortly after filming ended.
Vince, Amber, Puppy & Their Mamas
Vince struck up a relationship with Amber while she was in prison with her girlfriend, Puppy. Amber, Puppy and Puppy’s mama concocted a scheme get Vince to pay their bills on the outside. But when Puppy realized she was basically prostituting herself out to Vince, she had second thoughts. Amber is gay and has no interest in men and certainly doesn’t want to sleep in the bed with Vince, or even kiss him. Vince seems like he has his own sort of counter scheme going on where he wants to adopt Amber and Puppy for some sort of financial gain. I really am not sure if any of the parties involved are in it for the right reasons.
On the finale, Amber seems to have a change of heart about scamming Vince. She wants to live a straight life and get a real job. She’s trying to break up with Vince but Vince seems genuinely in love with her. Amber says “all this is not going to work.” Vince was trying to con a convict and Amber isn’t having it. Amber tells Vince to go home. I feel sorry for Vince.
On the second half of the finale, Amber tells Puppy she dumped Vince. Puppy, who is still in prison is pissed. But Puppy is getting out in two months to be with Amber. Amber is still working at a restaurant and living with Puppy’s mother. This end note says that Puppy and Amber’s mother would be getting out soon. So these end notes are from less than two months after filming. Vince has been online dating a girl that lives in the Philippines and they plan to meet soon.
Lizzy & Daniel
I was love at first sight for these two when they met while Daniel was working the drive-thru of a BBQ store. Sadly, a week later Daniel went away to prison for four years on drug charges. Lizzy worked and went to school while keeping in touch with him. These two young lovers probably have the best chance of this lot, but that’s not saying much.
Lizzy is up to her neck in planning her wedding. She wants it to cost at lease $10K according to Daniel. They don’t have $10K. Daniel buys a hotrod from his aunt for $7,500 without telling Lizzzy. They are already arguing about money. Clearly, both of them have spending problems. When Lizzy confronts him about the car, Daniel says if she can’t support him getting the car and rebuilding cars maybe they should not be together.
Lizzy wants call it off too. Daniel wants the ring back. Lizzy says no. Then Daniel’s mother comes out demanding the ring back. Screaming ensues, Lizzy throws a rock at her and leaves. I don’t understand how we got from Daniel teary-eyed surprise proto this in ten days.
It looks like Angela & Tony and Cheryl & Josh and Shane & Lacey will be joining Life After Lockup. Sadly, I’m all in. Who is with me?
