It’s time for another Married to Medicine recap! If you missed last week’s Married To Medicine recap, click the link to get caught up. It will explain why Toya and Simone are all the way over Quad at this point. This episode starts with Contessa and Scott arguing over the kids’ bad behavior. So of course, Contessa is planning a huge birthday party for her daughter. She wants a full carnival. Clearly she thinks a lavish party will make up for her absence. That’s TOTALLY how it works. It’s going to run her between $10-15,000 for this guilt-party. I’m too poor (and sensible) to fathom this sort of party.
Heavenly is setting Quad up with a couple of her friends. In typical Heavenly fashion, this will be a shit show, especially since Heavenly is going on the dates. Dr. Henry (date #1) arrives at the restaurant with flowers. He’s a dentist. Quad is not attracted to him. Heavenly starts interrogating him about his credit score. Who does that? He doesn’t know his credit score. He also has a onw year old child that the baby mamma won’t let him see. NEXT!
Well, well, well. Doesn’t Heavenly just have them lining up for Quad! Date #2 arrives while Quad is stuck talking to Date #1. Heavenly brings over Date #2 right over to the table. Quad is super uncomfortable so she goes to hide in the bathroom.
Then, Date #1 gets up and walks right into the ladies room. He then proceeds to ask all the other ladies to leave! Who does that? Heavenly comes in to see what is going on. Date #1 bids Quad goodnight with a hug. Then Quad goes back out to chat with Date#2 whose income and credit score Heavenly has prequalified. Heavenly tells him his time is up and to pay the check on his way out. Quad is over it. She’s not interested in either one. It’s like a bad dating show that goes horribly wrong. I am flat out dying here. Say what you want about Heavenly, this is entertaining AF.
Check Yo’ Breasts
Buffie goes to see Simone at her office. Buffie has had a lump near her breast for the past 6 months. Her family has a history of cancer, so Buffie is terrified. Simone thinks it’s just tissue but Buffie will get a diagnostic mammogram to make sure it’s not a tumor. This is a great reminder for all you lovely readers to check your breasts for lumps and get a mammogram. I will be scheduling mine tomorrow.
Later, Simone accompanies Buffie to her mammogram. Buffie is scared, Oh this is sad: Buffie explains how she and David wanted to have kids but were unable. They tried IVF and other ways but nothing worked. She’s crying real tears while telling us, which has me crying real tears watching. Her mammogram came back with no breast cancer thankfully. They will recheck her in 3 months because of the tissue. We’ve all been on the fence about Buffie, but this scene has made me like her. She was raw and genuine. My heart goes out to her.
Big Over The Top Circus
Jackie and Curtis are at the site of Jackie’s new office. She needs more space as her practice has exploded. Curtis is retired so he is overseeing this project.
Meanwhile, Contessa is preparing for the Carnival of the century. She is freaking out, yelling directions at Scott. I’m scared. This is stressing me out. Heavenly arrives to bring some levity. Kids have fun, though they would have had fun with just the beautiful pool and cake. It’s over the top chaos with a jillion kids running around. I live in a zoo and this is stressing me out. I am also keeping up my Patriots who are stressing me out as well. Too. Much. Stress.
Scott is talking to Cecil about Contessa as she talks to Heavenly about Scott. Contessa wants to see a counselor. Scott isn’t on board with a counselor. Contessa doesn’t feel like there is intimacy in their marriage. With Scott acting clueless about their issues, I can see how Contessa would get frustrated with that. The cake comes out and Scott literally kicks Contessa in the chest with their kid lol. He picked up Laila and while swinging her around, Laila kicks Contessa straight in the tits. Contessa’s drink got knocked out of her hand but she did keep her composure. Holy shit that was hilarious.
On next week’s Married to Medicine recap: Scott and Contessa go to counseling; Jackie (I cannot believe this just happened!) is on a microphone at what looks like a breast cancer event and calls out Buffie for being infertile IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE CROWD; the couples and Quad head to Mexico. Thank you all for reading and for the comments. Before I go, I have to give a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY shoutout to our beloved Cheryl B!! I hope your day was as amazing as you are. Thank you for all of your retweets and your support. See y’all in the comments!
