Amber Portwood Gets Probabtion In Machete Case

October 31, 2019 by tamaratattles 20 Comments

Amber Portwood ArrestedAmber Portwood has escaped serving any jail time for her latest violent attack on Andrew Glennon multiples site report.

Amber was in court today where she was sentenced to two and a half years of probation for her machete attack on Andrew Glennon in the early hours of July 5th. There was overwhelming footage of the alleged attack. Clearly, she had a great lawyer.

Amber Portwood took a plea deal in court today where she pled guilty to Count 1 Domestic Battery  a level 6 Felony.  She agreed to complete 26 weeks of court-ordered parenting classes. In addition, she agreed to a mental health evaluation and related treatment. She also must  undergo  a substance abuse evaluation.  Also, she must submit to random urine and breath testing while on probation. Additionally, she will participate in a batterer’s intervention program.

Amber was ordered to have no contact with Andrew Glennon unless it relates to arranging visitation. The most shocking part of the order to me was that she gets UNSUPERVISED visits with the baby three times a week.

If Amber violates the rules of her probabtion, she could be sent to jail for FIVE YEARS. But, court documents state, “Provided there are no proven violations of probation Count 1 will be dismissed and Count 4 will be given alternative misdemeanor sentence upon the defendant’s successful completion of probation.”

I wonder how much this lawyer costs her. Do you think she adhere to her probation rules and stay out of jail?

Wow! Unsupervised visits when she clearly has no interest in being a parent, I wonder how long it will be until the next winner / live in nanny comes along? If her lawyer got her out of all of that I doubt she’ll ever see the inside of another prison again, unless she fucks with the IRS.

She definitely doesn’t want to be a parent. Thank the lord for Gary. If not for him, Leah wouldn’t have anyone to really parent her. Amber only seems interested in Leah for fun photo ops. She drops Leah like a hot potato as soon as the 30 minute trip to the icecream parlor is over and the real parenting needs to begin, like doing homework and cooking dinner.

Thankfully baby James also has a dad who is committed to parenting him. I fear that during her unsupervised time, he will be stuck in a pack and play, caged in like an animal so Amber can sit on the couch. I can’t imagine her having James on any type of schedule.

She’s not the only teen mom who seems to have procreated for the wrong reasons, then quickly decided she didn’t want to be a parent because it’s too hard. Jenelle did the same thing, but she’s even worse because she had three kids. Yikes.

I’ll go out on a limb and say no. This is someone who chose prison over a court ordered probation/drug rehab program.

This whole thing makes me feel sick. She should never be allowed to be unsupervised with any child. It also makes me sick she is able to keep her job with MTV.

The best thing we can all do is never watch any teen mom program ever again. I’ve actually already stopped. To support these people is the last thing that I want to do. The shows suck anyway. It’s all so ugly. MTV and the Teen Mom Franchise have created monsters, and they are the head of the snake. I especially don’t want to give the corporate heads and corporations who continue to make money off of these people doing these horrible things any money. To pretend that this show has anything to do with preventing teen pregnancy when they sit with horrible Dr. Drew the sellout is a disgrace too. With Amber still on, and talk about them bringing back both Jenelle AND Farrah. No thanks. I’m done.

Unsupervised? I’m thinking it won’t even matter. She doesn’t even get out of bed to see Leah. Although, if they’re mandating UAs perhaps she’ll stay on the correct meds and off the other stuff and alcohol and maybe there’s a chance in hell that her 2 kids will actually have a mom who is present. Especially if she has to have psych evals and parenting classes. I hope for the kids’ sake she can turn things around and manage her illness properly. So sad.

As a parent who shares a child with a violent self involved person sometimes it’s easier to let them get their “unsupervised” visits and know they will quickly lose interest and go away then fight them. Come on, how often does she see Leah? Does she exercise and use all of her current visitation schedule? I’m betting no so Andrew knows from her current parenting, unless it’s filming time Amber isn’t going to want to be bothered with James. She will go maybe 6 months before opting for the prison term and blame Andrew for it. This also means she likely keeps her job.

Amber is not a mom, and has no desire to be one, to either of her kids. I’m not worried about her unsupervised visitation with James, because she won’t pursue it. The best we can hope for is that she settles into the distant background as “Aunt-Amber-who-doesn’t-like-kids,” and hope she doesn’t OD. The kids don’t need that.

I’m done with MTV and Bravo. (But never with TT! Is that wrong?? :))

I think the ratings are falling bc for the teen moms there is nothing relatable. That’s why Jenelle is the ticket…because even though her life isn’t normal by the fact she gets paid tons of money to do nothing…it still is the only semi normal life besides Jade and Amber. But people are not invested in Jade. Lots of people can relate to crazy husband, wanting to be loved, domestic violence, crazy family, addiction, repeatedly making bad choices. No one related to buying new cars and houses most people will never be able to afford by doing nothing but promotions that normals won’t ever get offered unless they spend most of their time and money branding. Most people don’t have time to do that unless they started as a parent supported adolescent bc they have to WORk to live. I’m so disappointed about Amber not getting fired. Not bc I wish bad but bc it continues to send a negative message. Plea Deal is still guilty.

I didn’t realize that there was video of Amber loosing it. I read an interview with Amber where she laughed and claimed there was no machette. She broke down a bit of what happened that night and it did seem as if Andrew had exaggerated and I believed her…. Unfortunately the older I get the more I realize (usually in hindsight) that I’m very gullible. I get fooled by these reality tv people all the time. I’d probably be sent home from Survivor after an hour : (

I wonder what the judges ruling was on Andew’s request to move with the baby to Malibu near his family. Obviously that would have a huge effect on Amber’s visitation and participation in her son’s life.

Andrew agreed not to move the baby to California. At least for now.

I believe it’s only audio. That’s all I heard about anyway. I listened to it when it was released.

S he knows she can go to jail, instead of parenting. Get out, have Dr. Drew kiss her ass (after doing a special about her in jail) and she thinks that shows strength.
Maybe the first time ( personal choice whether she was a hero, or deserved to be)o
I say she’s had enough chances. Let’s get serious and send her to LONG CARE and keep MTV and Caitlyn and Macy (who I don’t think fibroids and addiction are in the same realm), away, and let Amber have a chance of a life. I think she’s much too sick to do anything but treatment, not associated with MTV.
I sound harsh, but worked with addicts to know, this isn’t the solution. She’s dangerous. Thank God for Christina and Gary. (Amber’s family i imagine have skeletons that they choose to protect)

This infuriated me. I wonder what would happen if the tables were turned, if Andrew had gone after amber and the baby with a machete, if his sentencing would be as light?

I also wonder – does MTV get involved in the legal proceedings like offer to pay legal fees to ensure they can keep filming the reality show participants.

I am surprised how soon the chaos began. I’m just going to say it, Andrew being obsessed with Amber on MBC doesn’t show he had much expectation for a happy healthy relationship. She was worse than Matt, and her mother. So we have to question Andrew, and bringing a child into the status of her mental health which he was very aware of. Whole thing began shady and now James and Leah pay the price. Uggghhh. I get frustrated.

She needs to let Andrew take James back to CA where he is from and has his family for support. Amber made it clear in the audio that she did not want James and couldn’t even be bothered to take care of him. How she got unsupervised visits is beyond me. She has no business being a mother.
