Josh Waring’s Life May Be In Peril

October 24, 2019 by tamaratattles 145 Comments

Josh WaringFormer RHOC Lauri Peterson’s son Josh Waring has been in jail charged with three counts of attempted murder for quite some time. His bail is set at a million dollars. The local journalist seem certain he is innocent and being set up.

Lauri is apparently unable or unwilling to get him out of jail. He has yet to have a court date.

“I am horrified, sad, brokenhearted, disgusted and appalled by my son’s condition! This situation should have never been allowed to happened as Josh is SEP, which is that he is never allowed contact with anyone! He is in a module that everyone in it is protective custody for varying reasons and never allowed to have contact with each other or anyone, ” Lauri Peterson told  Us Weekly earlier this month.  This was after Josh had been attacked with razor blades resulting in multiple stitches to his face and twenty staples to his chest!

Tonight, a reader sent me a link to this site that you must read in it’s entirety. Here is a short excerpt. But really, click the link. You need to read the whole disgusting thing.

Josh WaringDeputies loathe Waring for multiple reasons, including he played the primary role in exposing OCSD’s latest scandal over their illegal surveillance of inmate communications with defense attorneys and helped lead a hunger strike to protest the continual mistreatment of other inmates.

He’s now the poster victim underscoring the depths of remorseless corruption at Sheriff Don Barnes’ 4,000-employee department with a billion-dollar annual budget.

In August, after hearing detailed reports that Waring had been beaten and psychologically tortured by deputies, I notified Barnes’ executive staff that reporters were watching. But instead of delivering jail safety with the self-proclaimed “utmost of integrity,” deputies may have responded by creating situations in which other inmates have gotten opportunities to attack Waring, which is quite a feat given he’s in a “total separation” section of protective custody.

Joel Garson, Waring’s attorney, says Barnes’ staff has “engaged in a scheme to severely injure or kill” Josh. According to Garson, officers retaliated against his client by concocting a lame excuse to move him for 10 days to the “HOLE,” a dark cell with a defective toilet and the smell of feces and urine. On another occasion, Josh was stripped, thrown in a cold cell, denied his seizure medicine and ignored for two days.

An OC local sent me the story. This is an excerpt from that email

At best the Orange county sheriffs can be brutal, and I think they are out for Josh because he uncovered their wiretapping of inmates. I somewhat feel sorry for Josh, because it seemed like he just fell by the wayside when his mom became involved and married George Peterson, she took both the younger and older daughter to live with them, but not Josh.

There was a reporter for the OC weekly that even took Josh in the beginning, then he ended up living with George Petersons first wife, who  was living with Dennis Rodman at the time, this was all documented in the OC weekly. I hope Josh survives this.
Again, the guy hasn’t been convicted of anything. The article makes it seem like this shooting was pinned on him. It seems he is likely innocent. This is just bad.

I’ve been following this for years. Its a tragic story and I’ve always wondered why she hasn’t gotten him out. Especially if his life is in danger. She wouldn’t have to pay the entire million bit maybe her husband is unwilling

Wow, I cannot imagine the fear and mental/physical/emotional torture he must be going through! I agree with you about Lauri not having to pay the full million! HER picture is what is under “Narcissist” in the dictionary! She could give 2 shits on what happens to her boy! It Really IS such a sad, sad situation.
Is she even married to George anymore?? I thought they had split quite awhile ago, actually ?
I’m going to try and keep my eyes open so I can read the article TT posted and Google some things to get updated on this chitshow! I didn’t have Any inkling what he was prison for and/or accused of doing! I’m not quite sure what rock I’ve been under recently ?‍♀️

If I remember correctly, it was Lauri’s former boyfriend (from the first year of OC) who got Josh hooked on drugs. She pretty much wrote him off & deserted him once she got with George. Sad, sad situation. I remember reading the updates every week from that OC weekly.

My daughter’s an addict who I’ve had to write off after having lost everything trying to get her help.

I’ve no idea why Lauri isn’t putting up the bail money, but he has a father who isn’t either. Perhaps neither has the funds to do so.

She is with George. In fact, right at the time they were really going to be empty nesters, they ended up with Josh’s biological daughter. Since then, they have adopted her and are raising a young one. I sometimes wonder if there isn’t some behind the scenes complication about worrying about having CPS involved in their lives if they bring Josh home (if he is even eligible for bail). He was DEEP into drugs when she married George. People keep pointing fingers at her for not “helping” him when she married George, that she didn’t have him move in with them. HE WAS AN ADULT. Having him move in at that point would have been enabling, not helping.

You’re absolutely right! It’s Always tricky when it’s a loved one that has an addiction, it’s truly a very fine line. Obviously there is more that has gone on that we don’t know of, but when a parent can’t help their child with their addiction, and the person with the addiction does Not want help, everyone starts blaming the parent for not helping. There’s only so much someone can do when the addict doesn’t want, or think they need, help.

I disagree. Tough love usually ends up with your loved one dead. He was a teen when this started and Lori had the means to help him. I don’t know all of the details but it seems she was more concerned with keeping her lifestyle than helping Josh. Josh was an adult in number only. Drug addicts have arrested development. If you start heavy usage at a young age, you stay there. He may have been 18 but in reality was 14. I’m so sad over this.

I am not casting doubt on your story. (I guess you are the one known as Jennifer M.) ANY prisoner should be kept SAFE in jail. Those awaiting trial and those found guilty. It is not up to the guards or the prisoners to determine who is safe inside. If the system fails one, it fails all. YOU DESERVE to testify in court against him to see justice done. (Is he still his own lawyer?) That’s how it SHOULD be done. Not by guards not doing the job WE pay them to do

Exactly, Nanette. I don’t know much about the evidence in this case other than Josh fled the scene in what was apparently a stolen vehicle. During that time he likely threw the gun. It was never recovered.I don’t think a single person here is weighing in on his guilt or innocence. The point is, in the USA we should not have a suspect in jail getting physically attacked over and over in fear of his for THREE YEARS awaiting trial. If he’s found guilty for attempted murder, Then let him do his time. The guards ONE JOB is to keep everyone alive and safe in prison.

No….. as far as I know he is not representing himself anymore or again or whatever, but that can change away the drop of a hat depending on justice mood.

I have to weigh in. My son was in Josh’s sitch. He was so frightened and menaced. I am not defending bad behavior, but he was treated differently due to his color and race. I got the best attorney but I feared every day he was incarcerated that he would be harmed. Only his fellow prisoners kept him from being molested or hurt. If Josh has none of this, I fear for him.

OK, here’s the deal: For years, the OC Sheriff’s Department and District Attorney’s office have engaged in a shit-ton of corruption. It’s one reason why the long-time DA finally got the boot last year, and it’s why someone who was convicted of a 2011 mass shooting was spared the death penalty (since the DA was caught fabricating evidence during his trial).

Coming from OC, I know how corrupt local government and law enforcement can be over there. I don’t know enough about Josh’s case to know whether or not he’s guilty, but I know enough about OC law enforcement to know they play very dirty.

You can trust OC Weekly, and especially R. Scott Moxley. He’s a very respected journalist in Orange County who’s been covering local law enforcement scandals for over a decade. If he says shit’s going down, you better believe shit’s going down.

I know there are good cops in OC. The unfortunate reality is that some of the folks at the highest levels of power in Orange County are so corrupt that I can’t rule out that Josh Waring may really be telling the truth here.

I am not convinced josh Waring is an innocent / abused whistle blower. There is a reason they won’t put a 1mil lien against their house or pay 100k outright to bail him out. Theo Lacy is a vicious jail, this sort of attack is common place. especially when the guards, etc view such attacks as keeping inmates in line
PS. I agree. OC weekly is THE best source for our news.

If I remember correctly he was arrested during the first season of RHOC and his mother left him in jail then too – he was only 16. I don’t think she bailed him out then either. It seems like he had problems that were never addressed. He gave an interview recently and said he began drinking and smoking pot at age 12…that’s 6th grade. He’s known on the streets for being a violent punk gang wannabe. I know someone who witnessed the crimes he’s presently in prison awaiting trial on. There’s a mountain of evidence, all starring him. He’s not being set up by anyone. Lauri frequents his hearings because…she’s writing a book. She has never passed up the opportunity to cash in on his her son’s life.

The man who was shot said it was different person that shot him originally. Said it was a different car also. The man he named was a CI.
Josh was arrested within 10 mins after fleeing. He was, as were his cloths and the car for gun shot residue, No residue found anywhere. The gun had to be fired from within the car to have bullets ejected inside car. Residue should be everywhere.
It was a drug house and a lot were there that night.

Josh wasn’t arrested until hours later and there were bullet casings in his car with his fingerprints on them that matched the bullets pulled out of Danny’s body! Danny was confused right after he was shot and doesn’t even really remember what happened because his brain has blocked it due to the trauma of the whole event

Callipatti’s version of events i highly inaccurate. Josh was arrested nearly eight hour later after potentially dumping the gun, and changing clothes. IJS. I know Jenn thinks I am being a bitch to her, but I’m really just enforcing the commenting rules and Jenn definately has her facts straight. I believe she was there at the time of the shooting. If you stick your hand out a window to shoot someone, there will be no gunshot residue inside the car. Jenn will have to tell us if he was inside or outside the car anyway. ALLEGEDLY, if Josh shot Daniel, he had plenty of time to ditch the gun, wash up, put on new clothes and attempt to cover his tracks. He fled police when they tried to pick him up in Santa Ana.

Because there were WITNESSES, apparently including the newest Jenn, and based on my deep dive into the situation he is probably guilty.

That said. I think we need prison reform where inmates guilty or innocent, black or brown or white are not killed in jail before they even get to plead their case. It’s called a JUSTICE system. Everyone deserves a fair trial and not to be sliced and diced in prison or held for three years without trial. Also the OC Jail was recording calls between a PRETRIAL inmate and his attorney. None of that is okay. Guilty or not. We have a right to a speedy and fair trial in this country.

To be fair TT, you were being a bit of a bitch…I mean you did call me a thug, it’s ok forgive you, I too can be quite the bitch on occasion! All that aside, to answer your question…… Josh was inside the car in the driver seat and shot out the passenger side window which was down…. that made sense right? Lol! Another thing that the media keeps forgetting to mention is the fact that Josh’s story has changed multiple times from he wasn’t even there to his now version of he actually saw Goldstein pull the trigger! Unbelievable! And don’t even get me started on his mother….ugh…. that’s a novel of batshit crazy in and of itself….. another time maybe! For now I’ll stick to Josh. When his phone calls were being recorded he was representing himself and last I checked the law says attorney client Privilege…… Josh was acting as both and I’m pretty sure he wasn’t calling himself! Inmates have the right for their conversations with their attorneys to not be recorded or even listened too….. these calls were made to his family and girlfriend, if he’s stupid enough to discuss defense strategies with people other than an attorney well then that’s on him! And the nerve of him to demand the judge throw out 3 counts of attempted murder on a technicality is nothing short of absurd and just shows his arrogance and ignorance. Josh thinks he’s above the law and that the rules don’t apply to him. I can’t wait for a jury to put that little bitch in his place like his mother should have a long time ago. Who knows maybe this whole thing could’ve been avoided!

Josh wasn’t shooting at Danny, he was shooting at Ronnie, the one he had gotten into it with earlier that night….. Ronnie was telling Josh to leave and that he wasn’t welcome at our house which Josh already knew. He wasn’t welcome there because he had pulled a gun on one of the girls there among other people as well. So what’s Josh do….. leave to go get his gun apparently and came back to shoot Ronnie. Danny, Ronnie and I went outside to see who was reving their engine and honking their horn at 2:30 in the morning and that’s when Josh unloaded his gun on us. Why was I at a drug house you ask….. because I used to do drugs and this house was actually a sober living home. I was sober the night of the shooting and my husband and I have remained so since.

Theo Lacey is a very dangerous jail. Prison inmates have been transferred there by the state to save money. That jail is full of Mexican Mafia still doing business in there, drug cartel and gang members. It is known that the guards do little to intervene. I hope he is separated from the main population.. I have heard many stories of attacks and criminal activity in there. I used to work in the system.

I read the whole story. R. Scott Moxley tells a credible tale. Sending someone to the hole usually is punishment for anything from throwing food to having an improvised weapon in their cell/cube. But the toilets should work, food, water and meds supplied. Just being in solitary with no communication with loved ones and without any privileges is a huge punishment. People can go crazy in the hole. Humans are pack animals, not meant to live alone.

Read the comments too. There are pro-OCSD and against. One person says it sounds like classic in-prison drug-debt retaliation. That may be true, BUT the guards had to have ignored the danger he was in. Not like it was in line at the cafeteria or in the yard with a sudden cluster around him. It’s THEIR JOB to protect the prisoners. They either are incompetent, crooked, or afraid to speak up.

As Moxley and others have reported over the years, the Sheriff’s Department and DA’s office have cultivated a network of snitches in the criminal underworld they’ve relied on to produce evidence in cases they need to strengthen before going to trial. IMHO, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if some commanding officer has been encouraging guards to look the other way while certain inmates have at it with Josh.

The more I think of this case, the sadder I feel.

Yes, my initial reaction was Josh deserves it and if you had taken the time to read on you would have seen where I took that statement back! I don’t believe anyone deserves tho be treated that way, not even that low life. But try seeing it from my point of view…… how do you think you would feel about someone that tried to kill you and your husband and your good friend?? I’m guessing you wouldn’t be sending them a Christmas card! Not that it matters but I’m sure you’re in no position to judge…. no one is, not even me! Josh tried to kill me and believe me, i struggle with how that makes me feel towards him. I do not like living with hate in my heart and the fact is I don’t hate Josh but it sure would make it alot easier to forgive him if he would just admit the truth that he did in fact poull the trigger that night that almost killed my friend, my husband and myself.

This happens in jails all across the country. Thousands of innocents rot away on trumped up charges and fight against dirty, corrupt law enforcement officials. But unfortunately, they are black, live in less affluent zip codes and have mothers who are not attached to a famous reality show. I know ur shallow enough and racist enough to not care but really??? Some how, we are all supposed to give a shit?

Actually, many of us do care. I’m trying my best not to violate the rules here, so I’ll just say I’ve seen a lot of this for myself where I live now. And of course, communities of color have to deal with this kind of shit all the time in Orange County.

Since we often talk about RHOC in these parts, and since some of us remember the very earliest days of the show, we know who Josh Waring is and the problems he’s been struggling with since RHOC Season 1. Just because we’re concerned about Josh doesn’t mean we don’t care about black and brown folks who live with this awful shit all the fucking time.

I don’t know if it’s Lauri, but I would bet George doesn’t want him around his family. There are 5 kids at home, two very young. I see them around. George also has contract work with Orange County so that could be another reason he wouldn’t want to be involved.

Lauri talked about not posting bail for Josh in an interview Jeff Lewis on his Sirius show (Sept 23rd). She wanted him to get clean bc rehab had failed so many times. Lauri talks about the trial set for is Nov 4th but there is some appeal that could change that date – something about an appellate decision. ?‍♀️

If they bail him out, he’ll need a place to stay. With his history of drug addiction, I wouldn’t do it either. Especially if she’s raising his daughter. Take it from someone who tried for YEARS to help an addicted family member- it never stops, and the fear of being harmed by him or his affiliates is real. She’s raising his daughter- that’s the best way she can help and not put that child in harm’s way. It’s such a catch 22.

With his addiction issues, why isn’t a bail out only if he enters in patient treatment an option? I have an addict for a son, 14 months clean and sober, and he spent 2 weeks in jail, not on Josh’s level of course, my point is I have been in Lauri’s shoes. Honestly though, and I can say this with conviction, unless Josh wants help nothing and no one can get him help. I paid for 5 rehabs stints for my son over 15 years and his father paid for another 3. It was not until our son decided he wanted to be done with it all that he was able to enter rehab and actually get clean for the first time in 15 years.

Well, I’m in the minority here but Josh has been a handful since a child as shown on TV. In and out of juvie, violence, gun issues, drug arrests, etc. so it wasn’t that surprising when he ended up in the clink this last time. Laurie has said multiple times that she isn’t bailing him out because he’s clean and sober while in jail. This, to me, is a strange way of looking at incarceration. “Well, at least he’s clean and sober in there” instead of wondering what steps HE will take when he gets out to stay that way. Josh is now an adult. His choices are HIS choices. He chooses to let his behavior control him instead of him controlling his behavior. I live in OC half the year and happen to know many OC Sheriffs personally. They are hard working and follow the law to a T and ever since LE hands have been tied, they have a rougher time than usual, as do all LE, thanks to the SJW’s. You can’t blame inmates behavior on the Sheriffs who work the jails. There are a set of rules that are to be adhered to and if you don’t adhere to them, then you have to suffer the consequences. And, for the record, Josh was not the first person to complain about recording phone conversations. Under CA state law, which was amended in 1994 (Section 2600) you are told numerous times that your phone conversations will be and are recorded. I imagine, since 1994, there have been numerous prisoners pissed off about this. If RHOC didn’t exist, nobody would know who Josh Waring was, so ruminate on that for awhile. And so, once again, Josh plays the victim. He also forgets that after you commit crimes and break laws and are arrested and awaiting trial, you are incarcerated. Meaning… you gave up your rights. Now, do I condone the jailers beating inmates? No. But that didn’t happen. His latest predicament while incarcerated is just the latest in a string of issues HE CREATED while locked up. Drugs, fighting, etc. In summary: Laurie proved her stellar parenting skills while on the show. Imagine what we didn’t see. Josh is now an adult with a history of juvie, multiple arrests, violence, drug use and gun charges. Addiction is the least of his problems right now. And yes, I had family members with addiction problems, but if they don’t want help, then it’s time for tough love and you walk away and live your life. They made the choices they made on their own. Conscious choices.

As Baretta said over and over and over “Don’t do the crime, if you can’t do the time.” And as Jim Carrey screamed at his client in “Liar, Liar”… STOP BREAKING THE LAW.

I feel anyone who can shine a light on the need for jail reform – the better. If his mother’s celebrity can help bring the torture going on in jails in OC & across the country to light and give it some exposure, this is a good thing for everyone. Will it make a difference to the to a man in middle America today, probably not. But, if more people that are made aware, maybe, someday, down the road we may see change. This was enlightening to me as I knew very little about the abuse in the jail system. However, I know the most sadistic person I grew up with became a cop. He killed animals in very sick & demented ways. It makes me think about him. (I do know that there are many, many good men & women in this world who are cops)

I’m so sick of reading about Josh and his mom proclaiming his innocence….. she wasn’t even there that night! Also, has no one notice Josh looks like he’s back on drugs and literally has no defensive wounds from his so called attack. I mean if I were fighting for my life like Josh says he was, I think I’d have some defensive wounds on my arms and hands. I think Josh set the whole thing up as a last ditch effort to either get sympathy before court next month or to one again delay the trial or both! You want to know the truth? Supposed to be November 4th but will most likely be delayed again. My contact said something about a motion being filed or something. My guess, Josh is pulling yet another one of his stunts to delay and get more sympathy and publicity. This has been going on for over 3 years now and it’s gotten to be ridiculous! Had the first judge not denied Josh his right to a speedy trial, this would have been done and over a couple years ago and Josh would be sentenced and safely behind bars never to see the light of day again! The guy is a menace and his mother is only playing the concerned mother to keep her “has been” name in the papers….. it’s pathetic and embarrassing, she should be ashamed of herself carrying on the way she does! Before the shooting happened, she didn’t want anything to do with him. She says she’s in fear for his life….I call bullshit! Lady has more than enough money to post his bail but then that should mean no more publicity so in jail he sits…. that’s just Shitty mom 101!

I understand that defendants have the right to a speedy trial. Most waive that right on the advice of their lawyers. Unfortunately, that means witnesses, survivors, families of victims are left “serving time” on the outside. I had to testify in a car crash once. I wrote down the details right after I gave my police report. Two years later, I was glad I did. The lawyer for the person I saw blow through the light tried to undermine my testimony. I began to doubt myself. I worried I lost the case for the wronged party. The jury found for “my” side. His lawyers told me afterward that the opposing lawyer made the other two witnesses fall apart. I understand you had a terrifying PERSONAL experience so the details likely are engraved in your memory. BEST WISHES for a positive outcome. The waiting SUCKS.

I wasn’t at the shooting as you were, but as anyone who follows true crime and watches documentaries knows eye witness testimony can be very shaky at best. And also I read somewhere it was a known drug house that was fire upon, if that so and you were there were you high? Not victim blaming just pointing out what questions I would have. Hindsight is always 20/20, are you proud of every choice you’ve made in your life? Parents do make mistakes, and we Really regret them terribly. I don’t know that I would ever bail my kids out of jail, or pay their legal bills, I would visit and put money on their commissary account. That doesn’t mean I suck as a mother it just means that I have rules and boundaries. Again I wasn’t there and that doesn’t even matter, when an inmate is in custody they shouldn’t have to worry about getting killed inside while waiting for the wheels of justice to turn.

It’s frightening to realize the corruption and abuse of power all over our country when it comes to law enforcement. I know there are still some decent cops but as a whole, I’d say our country is fucked. This is one example. It feels like we can relate because we saw this troubled kid grow up on tv. He is still innocent until proven guilty. Sadly, he might not live long enough for anyone to prove anything. Breaks my heart.

When you are innocent and in jail there is no difference in treatment than the convicted.
it’s nice to read so many of you believe it is just fine to ignore the rights of the accused, innocent until a court ruled differently. Even going straight to revenge in your words instead of sentencing. Why do we bother to feed these guys, why can’t they work for their food if outsiders won’t pay for it? Why give them showers, clothing, visits, etc?

I can’t really fault the witness for her lack of empathy toward Josh. She believes he is the one who was shooting that night. She claims she was there. Her IP resolves to the general region. I take her at her word. If I were in the shoes she claims, I wouldn’t give a shit about his conditions either.

However, we have got to get out jail/prison systems TOGETHER. I’ve been reading up on the OC jail problems and this is simply not the kind of jail system that is acceptable. It is a systemic problem all over this country. And many of the prisoners trapped in this nasty environment are PRE TRIAL INMATES who are poor and lack the resources to pay even the smallest bail. Something must be done.

I do understand and respect your opinion. And you do ask a good question that im sure many people want to know the answer too…. so I’ll answer….. yes or was a known drug house and no I wasn’t high. I realize that may be hard to believe but at the time of the shooting I was pregnant and 100% sober! I shortly there after miscarried unfortunately. Do I have regrets in my life, sure I do, who doesn’t? I’m a mother of 3 and know the heartaches that can come with being a parent. I would even go so far as to say I understand laurie’s decision to not bail Josh out for fear that he would likely start using again and most likely fall back into that lifestyle or worse, overdose and die! I have a very hard time believing that’s the case with laurie. She’s just a little too concerned with publicizing everything and always ready with pictures in hand to get into the stories. I think if I were truly in fear for my child’s life the first thing I did wouldn’t be to teach for the phone to call the tabloids. But hey everyone handles shit differently and it’s not my place to judge. All of that being said, before that night, I had never met nor seen Josh but I can tell you with 100% certainty that the person who came to the house earlier that night and the one that came back later and unloaded his gun on Danny, myself and my husband (my then bf) was Josh Waring! No confusion here! Since the shooting my husband and I have had no run ins with the police and continue to work and be functioning members of society. Since Josh has been in jail he’s caught several more charges…… the guy just can’t seem to behave himself even when in jail! No I do not think anyone should be treated to horribly in jail or out but one has to ask themselves……. is he really being mistreated or is this just all part of his bullshit to make himself look like the victim and get sympathy. I know I sleep alot better at night knowing he’s locked up! He’s made his bed and when you play with dogs your gonna get fleas….. Josh is a flea and in my opinion a waste of life! But hey, that’s just me!

We’ve come a very long way since that night way back when and I’m grateful for that. The reason this had taken so long is one reason and one reason alone….. Josh has done everything in his power to slow this thing down…..putting off the inevitable. But his day off reckoning is iminant (did I spell that right…yikes) anyway point is, he can delay as long as he likes but the truth will never change and the end will never go away. He will have to face this, he can’t avoid his fate forever.

If Josh’s mom and dad are still attending his court hearings and keeping in touch with him, maybe that’s the level of support they’re comfortable with. I’m sure they love him, and
Lori is raising his daughter. He’s an adult. I’m interested to learn the results of an independent investigation regarding his injuries while in custody.

I understand and appreciate the concern on me speaking out on here…… my husband shares your concern. All I can say is im not worried because I speak the truth and I have just as much right as they do. They’ve had the years to spew their bs for the entire world to see….. I’ve only been on here one day speaking the truth……if anyone thinks I’m in the wrong well that’s their opinion but it’s not really my business what other people think of me!

Whew. Because just when I thought you were sane… 🙂

You might still want to consult with a lawyer prior to testifying. Did you testify in a pretrial hearing or is this your first time? If you have given sworn testimony before, you or your lawyer to be needs to request a copy of that testimony for you to review. ESPECIALLY because this case has been dragging on for three years.

Lauri was not a bad mother, she was a woman left with 3 kids, no money and minimal skills. I wouldn’t bail out my adult addict son either. He’s not reliable and he’s proven to be dangerous to himself and others. That being said, no parent wants their child to be abused and no matter what, COs are corrupt and so is LE. Recording inmate calls to attorneys is illegal. Pushing people to snitch and set other inmates up is illegal and all people have the right to not be terrorized. Josh is a piece of shit but he doesn’t deserve to die before his trial.

Should Josh be punished to the full extent of sentencing guidelines if convicted? Absolutely, but only after conviction. Waiting over three years to come to trial is a miscarriage of justice for all parties involved.

Not much to add, other than blaming anyone but the addict at this point is kind of ridiculous. I also totalky agree with TT》》”…However, we have got to get out jail/prison systems TOGETHER. Something must be done.”

    So much word!

Lauri was a single mom living in a rental apartment, working the phones for Vicki to try and make ends meet when OC started. We saw her supporting Josh, trying to get him help, trying to set him up with assistance for when he got out of jail. I think she genuinely believes that he’s safer in jail, even with all of this happening to him. Every time he gets out, he just ends up back in trouble. I think at one point she even said she fears he’ll kill someone if he’s not locked up. It’s easy to look at her in her new life and think she’s just washed her hands of him, but he seems to be one of those people that just can’t be helped.

For the record, I would just like to say……I DO NOT think it’s ok for anyone to be mistreated tortured or beaten in or out of jail including Josh! In fact, if Josh would just tell the truth and admit that he’s guilty I would completely forgive him for almost killing us! I’m pretty sure he’s not ever going to do that but I really wish he would. I am not a person that lives my life with hate in my heart and I know I stated earlier that Josh gets what he deserves but I do take that back……I just wish he would tell the truth really! They say people can’t change but I don’t believe that….I think there is hope for anyone that wants to change. As hard as it is for me to say, that even goes for Josh!

After watching the video of the attack, I’m even more convinced that Josh himself planned and set up the whole thing in a last ditch effort attempt to once again delay his trial. Unfortunately for us, his victims, it worked and it has now been pushed out another 6 months at least
…. when will this nightmare end!?!? If orange county jail guards wanted Josh dead then why didn’t they let the fight go on until that was accomplished, why didn’t they just leave him to bleed out? They helped him! They got him immediate medical attention! Those aren’t the actions if people that are trying to have you killed! I wish everyone would stop listening to all the bullshit Josh his mother and his attorney keep trying to brainwash everyone with. See it for what it is. Josh has tried everything he can think of to get out of jail and to delay his trial. I almost can’t wait to see what he pulls next. If he’s innocent like he claims then he shouldn’t be afraid to stand trial! He’s arrogant, cocky and most of all a big gaping pussy! Fuck I’m so sick of this bullshit!

Jenn, WTF? Why would Josh want to DELAY HIS TRIAL? Once he is sentenced, if convicted, he would get the fuck out of that hell hole. The fact that he has been in jail PRE TRIAL for THREE YEARS is horrific. He’s clearly in fear or his life there. If convicted at least he would likely go to state prison and get the fuck out of the corrupt Orange County system. How is getting attacked MULTIPLE TIMES helping him to get our of jail. Are you sure you are still clean and sober?

The ONLY reason he’s been in there so long and hasn’t gone to trial yet is HIM! He has done everything within his power to delay the trial…… why, you ask? He doesn’t want to face the inevitable…… being sentenced! As far as him being in such humble conditions…… HE’S NOT! All that shit in the video, Josh planned! It’s funny no one remembers the two inmates that Josh was charged with slashing just since he’s been in jail but God forbid someone do it to Josh……. then all the world is in an uproar! He’s so pathetic it’s embarrassing!

Based on your bizarre theory, he wants to keep getting slashed rather than go a a prison that is not one of the most corrupt jails in the country where the guards can’t protect their inmates. Puhlease. If he knows he is guilty and going to be sentenced, it would seem he would just want to get it over with and get the fuck out or there.

I think you are too close to the case to think objectively.

Surprise surprise, guess who was in court today asking to be let out of jail on his own recognizance?! In the words of every right person ever…..I told you so!! I’m not too close to the situation to be impartial, I’ve been dealing with Josh’s bullshit for over 3 years now! He set that whole attack up, probably promised to put money on that guys books and now he’s got a good reason for the judge to actually consider letting him out on OR. Well played? I don’t think so! Orange County jail inmate Jose Jesus Guzman, the guy who sliced up Josh Waring in prison is set to be arraigned next month (December) on multiple new charges related to the attack — assault with a deadly weapon, infliction of great bodily injury, possession of a deadly weapon by a prisoner and destroying/concealing evidence.

He is already in prison for assault with a deadly weapon and other violent charges. Josh feels like the guards allowed him out of his cell while Josh was on the phone in order to attack him in retaliation for a case he has filed against the OC jail for illegally recording his phone calls with his attorney. The OC jail says that both the attack and the recording of his privileged calls were “accidental.”

Thanks for the update. Years ago I was the victim of a crime and I can speak from experience the defense will use what was posted here if there are any good at their jobs. My attacker’s lawyer got ahold of my online personal journal where I wrote about my attack and questioned it up and down and tried to trip me up big time. I only say this because I watched the man who attacked me and left me for dead get only 2 weeks in jail. Nothing I posted was shared publicly it was a personal blog and somehow it was found anyway and my writings to try and deal with my situation and my feelings were made to seem like I was lying even though it was witnessed by someone else and the guy has a violent record.
