Joe Giudice Has Been Deported To Italy

October 11, 2019 by tamaratattles 73 Comments

Jailbird JuicyJoe Giudice is on Italian soil. So now what? Now that Joe Giudice has been deported, what’s next?

Joe Giudice has been in ICE custody since March. As Tamara Tattles has previously reported living in a deportation center run by ICE is nothing like prison. Compared to the time he served for his crimes in a US prison facility that has government guidelines for US prisoners that include things like three meals a day, an exercise yard, jobs, TV rooms, and things we take for granted, there is no promise of “three hots and a cot” in an ICE detention center.

Since last March Joe has been appealing his deportation while being in a deportation facility, If you recall, Joe’s attorney’s had him moved from his original prison to a different one very early on during his sentence. That was because his initial prison did not allow access to immigration court. This is very important because fighting deportation is a very uphill battle that takes YEARS. Most people begin the process, if they can afford to at all after serving their time. Joe’s attorneys wanted to start the process as soon as he was incarcerated.

Joe Giudice Called Home From The Plane

That was a wise thing to do because otherwise he was looking at years in a deportation center while trying to fight to stay in the US.  Deportation centers are horrific.  In 2016 I spoke at length with a local deportation lawyer. She explained to me how horrible the conditions were and how unlikely it would be for Joe to stay in the US.

Joe Giudice’s deportation has been on the books for quite a while. He’s had enough of the deportation center and finally decided that rather than stay there waiting his final hail mary at getting to stay in the US, he wanted to await the outcome in Italy. I’m surprised that worked out. But apparently he left tonight for Rome on a commercial flight with the blessing of the court.

It’s clear he knows his chances are slim of being to stay in the US so he might as well wait out the answer in Italy. It is highly unlikely that he will ever be allowed back in the country,

Meanwhile, Teresa has already moved on with a young boytoy, That will be her storyline for the upcoming season of RHONJ season ten. See the trailer below. You can hear Joe say he never wanted to marry Teresa in the first place.

Joe called Teresa and Gia from the plane. He is very happy to be out of the nasty deportation center and on the way to Italy.

Joe Giudice has been deportedRHONJ Season Ten Should Be FIRE!

I am kind of looking forward to RHONJ. While the drama in cities like Beverly Hills and Orange County seems manufactured. There is no lack of violent drama and behavior in New Jersey.  Check out the season trailer below.

I had heard well over a year ago that Teresa had already spoken to another Italian felon who had found some employment for Joe Giudice in Italy. She also had secured a place for him to live. However, she and the girls will not be rushing over to visit Joe. But he will be able to drink and eat pasta while waiting to be rejected by the deportation judge.

What I want to know is did they get him an Italian passport? I suppose they had to. I believe when the RHONJ cast went to Italy in a previous season that Joe probably used his brother’s passport. Just like he use to use his drivers license.

Juicy Joe had to go! If he’s got a job, and a place to stay he’s probably doing a lot better than a lot of people deported, and it’s not like he’s been deported to the third world. Sure it sucks for him to have to leave his family like that but then again that was a direct result of his illegal activity.

I get the feeling the girls haven’t see him often the last few years. I don’t recall a pic of the family in the cafeteria of the “camp”. Tre doesn’t talk about visits.. He’s was in NJ so it wouldn’t have been more than ninety minute drive. They drove to Ct for years to see her in “camp”. Gia seems very angry with Joe. He ostensibly stayed home to care for the girls while Tre was in prison however it appeared as though the weigh of responsibility really fell on Gia’s teenage shoulders. Plus he was emotional abusive to her on occasion while he was drunk and/or hung over. I can’t fault her for being not liking him much.

I hope Joe took Italian Lessons because his Italian sucks. He spoke some backward pigeon northern dialect. Do you think they gave him career counseling in prison? Did he graduate high school? He will likely end up in construction although his own company had a horrible reputation in NJ. I don’t think Joe really likes to work. I have a feeling Tre will be supporting him for the foreseeable future especially if she wants him to keep his mouth shut. I’m sure he’s sick of taking all the blame when they’re both equally guilty.

Each dialect of Italy is unique with its own story connected to it .
There are dictionarys for these dialects.
They are most definitely not backward !
The nation of Italy are proud of their dialects just as we in the UK are proud of our dialects .

If Tre a.k.a. Stumpy knows what’s good for her she will continue to support Joe. If he decides to get a divorce from Stumpy HE WILL BE ENTITLED TO HALF OF HER EARNINGS. We all know Stumpy does not like to share ESPECIALLY $$$. I don’t think I have ever witnessed a more Narcissistic, Sociopathic person or persons as Joe and Stumpy. Stumpy is always on the lookout for anyone taking (what she refers to) a “dig to me” so she can “get them back”. Her intellect is so astoundingly low as to make me wonder if it is an act. After watching her season after season sadly, I can say with 100% confidence both of them are at the low end of the intellect scale. One last thing………….not about Joe or Stumpy but Melissa (Mini Stumpy) she says she went to College and became a 2nd grade teacher. I want to know the name of the College or University her attended. I want to make sure to advise students to against attending any institution willing to award her as a graduate of higher education.

I really never thought this would happen. I guess I’ve seen too many situations where people with money for good attorneys get away with things that the average person isn’t able to fight. I don’t think it was just the fraud that Joe committed, but his general history of overall dishonesty, such as using his brothers driver’s license. He must have had knowledge that he needed to get his citizenship papers since the rest of his family apparently all managed to find the time to do that. He didn’t think far enough ahead or even give a thought to the fact his crimes might be discovered, and he would be prosecuted and sentenced. What a foolish man. If he had lived within his means he would still be in the USA with his daughters, instead of living in a country he probably knows very little about and with no chance to return to New Jersey.

I stopped watching RHNJ years ago and just started back where I left off. I literally am just watching the show where Joe leaves. Right now they’re showing the going away party and he keeps kissing and hugging his girls. I’m sad for them not to have their dad in their lives regularly. Phone calls and occasional visits are just not the same.

Joe states that he wants to help the family financially. Not going to happen by scooping gelato. I’m sure Bravo is paying big bucks for video of him and a family reunion.

If he’s an Italian citizen, then he had an Italian passport. No? And when you get married, don’t you need a birth certificate for the court? Why did he “not know.”

I’m in the process of getting dual citizenship with Italy. I literally made an appointment 2 years ago. Told to be at the Italian council office in September, 2020. Thought it was a joke. So maybe getting his papers was just too much of a headache for him, and for his mom, dad, etc. No priorities.

HIs parents had every opportunity to secure citizenship for him as a child. I mean they got theirs. He had a choice to do so as an adult. But, sort of thumbed his nose and thought he could never be deported. Now, I did read he admitted that he was a poor student, poor reader, who never finished high school till prison. So, that may have something to do with it.

Joe has a green card but he was convcted of an aggravated felony…anyone with a green card convicted of a felony has to be deported under the law. There’s no leeway. It’s automatic mandatory deportation. An immigration expert said an appeal would likely not work as the charge is based on the dollar amount of the fraud (anything over $10,000 is a felony). Joe has 41 counts of fraud, including wire, bankruptcy, and mail fraud, plus $200,000 in unpaid taxes.

Joe did have a green card. When his parents immigrated here with Joe as a toddler, they all received green cards (unless they immigrated to the U.S. as refugees or a student visa). His parents’ status adjusted to naturalized citizens after he was 18. If they became naturalized before Joe turned 18, his status would have adjusted automatically (in most cases). Joe could have applied under the N-400, or through Theresa since she’s a citizen. Joe’s situation is more common than people think, particularly when you have ignorant parents. Even after Joe turned 18 and his parents were already naturalized, they could have applied under derivative citizenship on his behalf, but didn’t.

According to his immigration attorney he does have a green card plus there are many citatons in the news that he was a green card holder. This is how he was able to work and live within the US, some reports say he obtained his green card after he married Teresa in 1999 (he came to the USA as a baby).
There are many quotes from his attorney referencing his green card. Here’s one you can review:
“An attorney for Joe Giudice, the husband of Teresa Giudice of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” argued on Wednesday in a Pennsylvania courtroom that his client should be released from immigration custody on bond.

Jerard Gonzalez, an immigration attorney based in Woodland Park, said Giudice has been detained for six months by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He said Giudice was entitled to a bond hearing under a 2018 court decision that required a hearing after six months of detention.

Gonzalez said Giudice should be released also because he poses no threat.

“He’s not a danger to the community and he’s not a flight risk, because you are all over him,” the lawyer said, referring to the high public interest in the case. “He can’t move around without you guys finding him. … The government also has his passport and green card. If he’s released he’s going to be monitored on supervised release.”

ICE officials said they cannot comment on any pending litigation.”

Was he undocumented when his parents immigrated to the states as a child? I thought he was a permanent resident with a green card. Also, were his siblings born in the U.S. or did they later become naturalized? Reports allege that his siblings and parents are citizens. What am I missing? lol.

Her opinion and views on U.S. Customs & Enforcement does not make ANYTHING she spouted off to be facts. The facts are that detention centers are not meant to be a stay at the Hilton. They are detainment center’s and set up like jails all over this country. Here’s a FACT, detainees are entitled to 3 meals a day. He was in an established facility in Jersey, not a make shift facility at the southern border so he most defiantly had a bed to sleep in & 3 meals a day. If you think about it, many seasons back, Bravo is the reason that their fraud was exposed. Teresa was stupid enough to talk about their cash flow, and how they pay cash for everything, do they don’t leave a paper trail. She is definitely a stupid, uneducated person, but she’s also the one to blame for their direct exposure. I’ll never believe that she didn’t know what was going on all along. I’m not a fan of the Guidice’s, but we have real illegals here doing 100x’s worse things, that are still here.

Did he have a passport? If he used his brothers, did he have bravo buy tickets for him under Pete’s name? How did he get off the plane in Italy? A special visa? No passport? How does that work?

This is the perfect way for all of this to be handled. Makes sense. Until the last 15+/- years, immigration was not a thing. So, I don’t think he had a plan. Once he was here, enough. If the parents knew he had to have an italian passport as an infant/toddler, then that would have solved a lot.

I’ve been an immigrant for 20 years. It’s been impossible to do a lot of things here without proof of valid immigration status for way longer than that. His parents had to have had legal status here to become citizens, and since they brought him here as a small child he would have been here under their status.

Joe, however, made a choice to the ICE detention center. He could’ve left prison and gone straight to Italy. He’d already been denied several times in prison but kept appealing. He was banking one of those appeals would work. Well no and now thinks he can fight to be able to at least return to the USA for a visit. Again, probably not going to happen.

I’ve had friends who were convinced Teresa would have never committed fraud had it not been for Joe. I’ve never been convinced of that, but I do wonder what could have happened had they not conspired to “take the fast lane to the good life”. I listen to Reality Checked on Radio Andy, and they were getting permanent alien resident and dual citizenship all sorts of fucked up and confused. He was a permanent resident, NOT a citizen. I also read that when he was arrested, his green card and his passport were confiscated. This also confused people on the radio show – as they assumed the only passport he could have would be a US one. No, he had an Italian one. I’m pretty sure that when Bravo paid for their trip over, there were work visas needed, and I bet that Bravo got copies of everyone’s passports in that process.

I actually have empathy for his situation. He grew up here as a citizen. Enrolled in school, worked, got a drivers license, social security card (assuming this, as he did file accepted tax returns before the fraud) a marriage license. You are living your life, happy in NJ, and until the crookedness fueled by fame and the need for the tacky version of the dolce vita, are just going on. Side note-on the Bravo trip to Italy, there was never ANY mention that he used his brother’s passport- he used his brother’s DL ONLY when his DL was suspended. So, what is the status of that?
I have experience with immigration lawyers, due to the wine industry here in CA. They are crooks for the most part out here. No one wants to use them, even those with good intention.
I get the puniary reasons for depoerting him- but I can’t help but think that without the current political climate AND the high profile of this case, that he would have been allowed to stay.

I don’t understand why his parents didn’t get his citizenship in order when they got their own! My Grandfather and his brother and parents came thru Ellis Island from Italy. When his parents became legal citizens so did both of their sons . The rest of his siblings were born here ! Another thing why is his family so mad at Teresa ? He cheated on her all the time! My daughter’s neighbor used to see him in AC all the time with different women! I am not endorsing adultery, but, who really knows if she cheated? They both paid for their crimes, I personally don’t think he should be deported! I hope they work things out for the sake of their daughters! I think Teresa was so devastated by her Mom’s death she blamed Joe and didn’t go see him a lot !

going to get in trouble here- but cheating can be “managed/accepted”, but abandoning him, and going out, is not an option. Im also sure they blame her for forcing him to go into “business dealings/debt that was over his head”. My family here (Ca italians) came through Ellis island numerous times as well. But at that time, even in the 1900’s, the status/STIGMA of immigration was not the same. It did not have the criminal, etc., tags attached. This is why I say, if it weren’t for our current political climate, none of this would be an issue.

If he was over 18 when they naturalized then they wouldn’t have been able to just get it for him. If he was under 18 it’s automatic and he needs a way better lawyer.

It’s automatic assuming his parents were married. But that detail doesn’t apply here. If I’m not mistaken (TT may tell me I’m wrong without telling me why?), even if he was over 18, he could have applied through the derivative citizenship application. He sat on it. I worked for an immigration nonprofit and observed similar issues. People come and don’t follow-up because some assume that permanent resident = they can live here permanently. It’s more like probation. Contrary to what some may assume, he definitely had a green card, but never adjusted his status.

I still get steamed when I see those Versace plates — that are hundreds of dollars each — and the other expensive things in the house. Many times, in a case like this, EVERYTHING is auctioned off with the proceeds going toward the victims and the tax debts, etc. IF the people who had been ripped off had been repaid, I would be all for him staying here in the US. Or having the choice be his. Teresa … she can rot in the garbage pile of her own choosing. I can’t STAND that woman. WHO would choose her for a friend.

I hate Teresa too. TT, please delete if this is an over share… I saved my coins for a year to get a killer dress for my kid’s white coat ceremony. I don’t get out much and rarely splurge on myself. I finally found THE ONE, but it was soooo expensive it was ridiculous. The one left in my size was accidentally mis-tagged. Even though it was still more than I’d ever paid for a dress, the manager let me buy it for the reduced price since that’s what the tag said. I felt like a baller at the ceremony (mostly bc I was beaming with pride for my kid!) But, a few weeks later I saw a picture of Teresa in my same exact dress, but she was using it as a bathing suit cover up on vacation in Greece. Bitch stole my look! And as a bathing suit cover up at the full price I’m sure!? Seriously though, after all that happened with the legal troubles, how the F does she still have all that money? And has she not learned any lessons about being materialistic? IDGI. And I guess I got over the dress thing knowing that it’s highly unlikely that she will ever be attending a white coat ceremony for one of her kids. We clearly have different priorities. Sigh :/

I’m so happy you saved and splurged on a special occasion dress that you love and were able to celebrate your son’s hard earned success feeling proud and beautiful as his mother! You have it all right to and it sounds like you know that. Forget Tre, you rocked it more then she will ever understand.

      Congratulations!

Aww, Thanks, Kipper! You are always so sweet! ?

I’m going to risk annoying people here by being obnoxious and I’m going to totally brag. I don’t have any social media and don’t really want it. But if there was anything I would want to post it would be about this… so please don’t hate on me peeps for unabashedly bragging here this one time!

It’s my daughter, not son, which is even harder to do in the white male privilege that is STILL a thing. Furthermore, she got into an Ivy League on an academic scholarship which is unheard of for medical school! We moved her to the East coast sight unseen because we are true Southerners. She worked so hard for so long and she literally won a life lottery. There was only one scholarship and the dean of the school called her and invited her to apply for the scholarship and the board voted unanimously to offer it to her! It’s still very expensive to live there but she’ll graduate pretty close to debt free. I’m am so extremely grateful and proud of her. And I’m counting the months until she takes her boards and can put Humpty Dumpty (me) back together again for free! LoL! Clearly the big brain on her skipped a generation (And she sure as hell didn’t get it from her father!?)I have been blessed to have all my kids be hard workers and I’m proud of all of them, They are all succeeding in completely different fields in other states and I must admit I’m struggling with the empty nest thing because I miss them so much! But my heart is full knowing that they are truly good kids and living their best lives.

I’m sorry to all of y’all that are having to read my bragging here. I don’t do it IRL, so I just put it here because, fuck it, y’all can scroll over this and I got it out of my system! Ha!

And my dress is freaking awesome, too. It’s too conservative for Teresa G which is probably why she used it as a bathing suit cover up lol, plus she’s a POS anyway!

Okay, thanks for tolerating this comment and letting me put it out there in the universe. ?

There is so much wrong information on this thread it is making my head spin.

Joe never had a green card.

There is no automatic process that gets you from Green Card to Citizenship.

At best, Joe had an Employment Authorization Card.

Gia is not mad at Joe. She posted her face time with him.

Tre already has a visit to Italy on the books for her and the kids that I’m guessing is happening over Thanksgiving.

Why wasn’t she there to pick up Joe, have dinner and take him to the airport like his brother?

How do you know that he did not have a green card? Also, with regard to “automatic” adjustment, there sorta is. Hypothetically, if Joe’s parents were married and filed to adjust their status under the N-400 application, their children’s status would adjust if they were under the age of majority. In the foregoing scenario, the kids wouldn’t have to apply. Also, if reports are correct, Joe came to the states when he was a toddler. There’s no way he only had an Employment Authorization Card. It’s hard to believe that someone who’s lived in the states for that long only had an EAD.

You really need to read the archives here and then try to make a logical comment. TIA. There are many explanations on this subject here source from court documents from MULTIPLE CASES involving Joe. This isn’t speculation or opinion. It’s all in the documentation.

I always suspected that Joe had stashed most of their cash in Italy, which was why he never became a citizen despite having multiple avenues to do so. Avoiding taxes on global wealth is the main reason people don’t get citizenship despite being eligible.

This is a good theory if we were talking about someone else. Somehow I don’t think Joe’s the sharpest tool in the shed. More like…. just a tool.

I’ve been sitting on this, because I wanted to see how others in the KNOW would comment. Well, Italy, is a beloved country to me. I visit almost every year, understand much, but do not consider myself fluent. Have been looking to buy something there for the past few years. I have been trying to justify an investment/retirement home.

Italy is in the economic s-hole. It is a “beautiful” country, but you’re not getting a job there as an immigrant, let alone a citizen. Talk to the transport guys, the ones that live in the south, but work the north, so they can get some tourist tips. The guy who hauled my luggage, who told me he couldn’t afford to marry his girlfriend. The VAST amount of north africans coming into the country with NO job skills. The wine shop owner who can’t get sales, but comes to work in his merino sweater and dress slacks, everyday. The Tunisian who washes dishes in the sandwich shop in Firenze. The locals don’t trust him. Milan, the city of banking, which is as corrupt as other sectors. I have spoken to someone in each one of these areas. Point is, Joe isn’t getting a glamour job- he will be lucky to sell a prociutto off the back of a truck. Not to mention, if you did have money to open a new shop, don’t be surprised if some kind of tax collector comes calling. Not a brilliant situation. And, yes, I love Italy.
