Today was the premiere of Wendy Williams 11th season.
Wendy Williams came out hyper and crying with excitement. The first thing she wants to do is to set the record straight on a Page Six story that said she canceled on a recent Us Weekly’s Most Stylish New Yorkers party because Lil’ Kim was there. Then she interrupted to say that the Jerry O show won’t be happening. Norman says that is not true, that the show is still being shopped and no decision has been made. Newsflash. I like Jerry but the show was not very good. Back to the Us Weekly party situation. She says she was working at the studio all day getting ready for the live premiere this morning and she was tired and wanted to go home. Also, she and Lil Kim get along just fine.
Wendy Seemed A Bit Excitable
Wendy seems a bit rusty. She’s talking very quickly and seems a bit off. During hot topics she started talking about Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend Kenneth Petty. She repeatedly calls him a murderer. Norman corrects her and says he was convicted of manslaughter. She keeps calling him a murderer. Well, he did shoot and kill someone and pled guilty. So she’s not wrong. He’s also a registered sex offender after some issue with a minor female years ago.
I was going to say that Wendy was in the audience without her podium but at the end, there it was. She announced that her show was renewed through 2022. Page Six is already running a story saying that is because they were unable to find a replacement. At the very end she was crying again. Nene will be on tomorrow. I’ll report on that.
Kenya Moore And Gretchen Rossi on Tamron Hall
In other news, I was watching Tamron Hall because Kenya was on with her husband and baby today talking about fertility issues. I was going through emails as I was watching. I got one from someone who wanted to know what was going on with Wendy Williams today. The email said that Wendy was talking super fast, getting mixed up and seemed like she was on something. So I paused my Tamron Hall recording and flipped over to Wendy.
In my opinion, Wendy seemed a bit jittery, but for now at least, my opinion was she was just nervous about the show. It takes A LOT to get out and do a live show four days a week regardless of what is going on in your life. I couldn’t do it. So, I attribute this episode to that. But now I am watching in a new way. So thanks to the reader who emailed me.
Now on to Tamron Hall. Both Kenya Moore and Gretchen Rossi will be on this episode. It’s all about in vitro fertilization.
Marc Daly And Brooklyn On Tamron Hall
Kenya Moore came out looking fabulous in a yellow dress. She has teamed up with BabyQuest a nonprofit foundation that helps women seeking IVF get grants to pay for the procedures. Kenya and Tamron are social media friends who are finally meeting in person. The audience is very excited about Kenya. Lots of talk about fibroids and injections and setbacks during the IVF process.
Kenya spoke very highly of her husband, Marc Daly. She says she met the love of her life at age 46. Then Marc comes out with Brooklyn wearing a tiara and a tutu. This is a beautiful family. I am shocked that Marc is doing this. Tamron points out that Marc doesn’t really enjoy the cameras and she thanks him for coming on. He agreed to come out because he wanted to give the husband’s point of view on IVF. While he is talking I can’t keep my eyes of Brooklyn, who is adorable and a very happy baby.
Tamron is shocked that Marc never gave Kenya an IVF injection. She gave them to herself. They both hate needles. Marc didn’t really say much but he presented a united front with Kenya.
Gretchen Rossi And Slade On Tamron Hall
Next, Gretchen Rossi came out to talk about her five rounds of IVF. Slade came out with Gretchen. Their baby is only eight weeks. It doesn’t look like they brought Skyler. Gretchen has a new face. It looks sort of like pregnancy face. So it could be that. Gretchen has teamed up with Cory Booker to fight for legislation to reduce the cost of IVF. Slade talked about having 14 embryos die all at once. It was a long and expensive struggle.
Gretchen and Kenya stayed for a roundtable discussion.
And that’s today’s talk show roundup!
