There was a constant drip, drop of legal news this week. Nothing too earth shattering, but there isn’t much news to speaks of today. So, I’m going to give you dribs and drabs. I did post about Tommy Feight today so check here if you missed that one. I also gave a full update on the Amber Portwood situation here. That resulted in some crazy lady threatening me. Not sure why she was threatening and giving me her entire family tree and place of employment. But that is always helpful for the requisite restraining order I guess.

Gina Kirschenheiter’s husband Matt showed up in court this week to plead not guilty in his felony domestic violence this week. If he doesn’t eventually take a plea deal the case will go to trial. Gina was also given a longer restraining order barring all contact from Matt. The children are not effected by the order. I believe his visitations are supposed to be supervised by one or both of his parents
Social media is buzzing about Emily Simpson and husband Shane. Shane did not pass the bar in February. The next test was in July. The rumor, (this is not sourced) is that Shane and Emily haven’t been seen together since around the time of the beginning of July. He may have been “off studying” again. But we haven’t seen her with her wedding ring on in her recent Instagram pictures. Emily’s oldest daughter just left to go to college at Brigham Young University. Is divorce looming?
Dorit and Paul Kemsley were both in civil court this week so that a forensic attorney/accountant can examine their finances. PK is being sued for repayment of a $1.2 million dollar loan. He claims it was included in his bankruptcy. However, it appears he made a one time payment of $250,000 after the bankruptcy. So he is probably fucked.
No news of any kind has been made public over Dorit’s Beverly Beach financial and legal issues. Dorit allegedly bought a house near Kyle recently. There doesn’t seem to be any record of that sale. The Boy George house they have been living in continues to drop in price. However, PK is only a minor investor in that property so the sale won’t help much with their financial problems.
Felicity Huffman got a great plea deal today in the federal Varsity Blues case. She will serve one month in prison, pay a $20,000 fine and spend a year on supervised release.
