Food Poisoning At SUR?; Big Money for Gina Kirschenheiter

August 20, 2019 by tamaratattles 56 Comments

I’m a bit under the weather today and all I want to do is sleep. My sleep schedule is crazier than ever lately. That said there are two stories of interest out of California that I wanted to make you aware of. The first story is about Lisa Vanderpump and the second is about Gina Kirschenheiter

First, The Blast posted a story today about multiple accusations on Yelp about food poisoning from Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant, SUR. I went to Yelp directly and read many different complaints from customers regarding becoming violently ill after eating there.

The site also referenced a lawsuit that was rather unusual. A woman allegedly claims that she got some sort of immediate food poisoning while eating at SUR. The woman claims she immediately vomited and defecated herself and fell to the floor. Also, she claims all the wait staff did was throw water on her. She was then carried out on a stretcher and taken to Cedar Sinai Hospital. She claims she spent three day in ICU and two additional days in the hospital. This story sounds fishy to me. Food poisoning takes some time to develop symptoms. A spokes person for SUR claims nothing like this scenario happened.

This is just another lawsuit against Lisa and Todd.  I feel like this one is bullshit. However, there were many yelpers who claimed they got food poisoning after eating at SUR. I do believe those reviews.

Gina Kirschenheiter Gina’s Kirschenheiter Scores $100K A Year In Support

In other news, Gina’s Kirschenheiter’s  divorce judge recently awarded her $4,500 per month in child support and $5,127 a month in spousal support, for a grand total of $9,627 per month. The amount was based on his base salary and commissions of $421,000 a year. In addition, Gina will keep all her jewelry, clothes, and keeps the Chrysler Town and Country. Matt will keep his personal belongings plus the 2015 Lexus according to documents obtained by The Blast.

Have any of you guys eaten at SUR and lived to tell the tale?  Are you surprised by Matt’s annual salary?

Watching something on local channel on DVR, There was a commercial for the local news. Apparently the AIR in my area has been contaminated with carcinogens. Perhaps that is why I feel like crap.

Unfortunately it’s trendy these days for people to deliberately take to Yelp and other online foodie sights to trash someone’s restaurant. I know of several people who have been victims of this negativity and it truly hurts their revenue. Most of these trolls have never even stepped into the restaurants they’re writing against.
So not sure any of these allegations are true but who knows.

I did notice Yelp the business are allowed to respond, so that’s cool. I was shocked to see 600 reviews, on Apt/Condo referring to management, is slammed for extorting the landlords, what? Calgary has crap for ethical management..lots of roaches, bed bugs, great, sorry TT if a bit off topics..

There are a very high number of complaints about food poisoning. I haven’t gotten through all the negative reviews https://www.yelp.com/biz/sur-restaurant-and-lounge-west-hollywood-3?start=20&sort_by=rating_asc but is it an insane amount.

I can’t stand LVP but this could have been a Facebook group attack or something. The lawsuit seem ridiculous. You don’t get food poisoning while eating contaminated food.

LVP et all should sue for defamation.

I have never read so many bad reviews in my life. After reading 28 pages of 1 star reviews I gave up. You would think that they would care enough to get their act together. People from out of state are going there to check out the place only to be disappointed. It says a lot when management does nothing to rectify the situation. I thought Lisa cared about how she is perceived, obviously she doesn’t by how bad the reviews are.

I used to get violent, immediate puking etc from reheating something I microwaved then put in the freezer. I was only 20 & did it a few more times before I figured it out. I could totally see the yahoos at SUR doing this. The reaction is immediate & violent, like projectile violent. Try it yourself if you don’t believe me.

I do not buy the woman’s food poisoning story, but it is entirely possible that she could have been deathly allergic to the fish and/or some ingredient in the sauce she mentioned (think how fast Bethenny went down at the restaurant with her new guy) – I’m just throwing that out there. If it is an anaphylactic reaction to something in the meal, that’s on her, not LVP. I don’t like LVP much at all either, but food poisoning? Nope, not that fast.

No, it doesn’t get modified that quick. Child support is federally mandated by a percentage of the family bread winners gross earnings. It takes years to get it modified if you can get it changed at all.

I ate at SUR right after the first season of VR. They offered a Groupon or Livingsocial voucher so I took advantage of it. The food was good and also the sangria. I haven’t been back though, parking is HORRIBLE over there. As for food poisoning I have had it several times and it normally doesn’t kick in for a couple of hours. Except when I ate some bad gumbo that happen within an hour. My whole family got sick off some gumbo my uncle made. Never ate his gumbo again after that.

24-48 hours incubation period. Unless you eat raw sewage or like, plutonium for example, I imagine. Most people know this that have ever had it before so I don’t know where she’s going worth that, unless she had an allergic reaction…

Not true, staph on undercooked foods and from poor hand washing can strike with in 30 minutes especially if you have a lowered immune system from something.

It’s not super likely, but you can’t rule it out. The time from Of infection all depends on pathogen you ingest.

Like I said, apart from special circumstance. The generalised medical understanding of “food poisoning” is 24 – 48 hours incubation according to the NHS in the UK, and for some reason 12-72 in the US. No idea why theres different ideas on that! So sometimes less sometimes more. But certainly not instant.

Bad seafood can cause a reaction like that. I bad professor who said she immediately got sick from eating seafood that must have been tainted either by poor kitchen conditions or the fish itself ate something toxic before it was caught. Or the customer had a bad allergic reaction. So it’s not unlikely, but I feel like a spectacle like that person describes would have been in the media before the suit.

Yes, you can immediately throw up from eating something your body doesn’t agree with but it takes at least a day for real food poisoning to kick in.

I’d think we would have heard if some guest had vomited and shit herself in the middle of the dining room at Sur.

Having worked in the communicable disease area of a Health Department, I’ve worked plenty of food borne infection cases. In my experience, it takes hours for the food poisoning to take effect. It is rare for the body to respond that quick & violently to food ingested.
There must be more to the story. Maybe LVP relabeled a bottle of 2 buck chuck that had turned. Or hell, maybe its the chunky balsamic malt vinegar they use on their Capri salads. Who knows.

Changed her panties? I hope it wasn’t goat cheese balls because I am having those when we go to LA in a few months.

Speaking of LVP … if she doesn’t come back, I thought of a PERFECT person … Marissa Hermer of The Ladies of London. She lives in Pacific Palisades. I loved that show and her. The plan is to drive down to LA in October. I want the balls at SUR and a Sandoval cocktail — without booze — at TomTom. I imagine he can do something special without alcohol. If not, I may have my first drink — ONE ONLY — in 9 years. The big shocker will be if anyone from the show is working at SUR*. I hope Peter is working. And I want to see James Kennedy so I can spank him — NOT in a sexual way.

*SUR (Sexy Unique Restaurant) is the dumbest conceit of a restaurant name since … ever. It must be British humor.

What I REALLY want is to see him do that thing from the first-season intro, where he took his finger and knocked over the glasses of pink stuff into the other glasses. It could be pomegranate and lime juices into soda water.

There’s a certain type of staph food poisoning that can cause symptoms like this within 30 minutes. Oddly enough it’s more common/potent in cream sauces and that’s what this person allegedly had at the restaurant. That said, I don’t buy it. Like several people have already stated, a big scene like this would have been on the news.

Actually, they really didn’t enjoy anything except some blackberry dessert.

I don’t believe the lady who shit her pants at the restaurant, but I do believe that if you eat at SUR you will get food poison. LVP probably plops her rotten apple in every dish. Then she goes and looks in her mirror mirror on the wall.
