Now there is a title I never thought I’d have to use again. For reasons I really do not understand, Bravo is filming yet another season of Don’t Be Tardy. But the ridiculousness doesn’t end there.
Someone genius somewhere decided to try to make the upcoming season of Don’t Be Tardy more like The Simple Life. Remember when Kim Biermann and Nene Leakes were supposed to film some sort of Simple Life type of cross country show? Well it’s now been sort of morphed into Don’t Be Tardy.
An Exclusive Tamara Tattles Source reports that the Biermann Bunch loaded up into an RV headed out on their cross country mission about a week and a half ago. And it sounds like it is already a disaster. It’s rained more days than not. The logistics of filming across state lines has been problematic. Each state has different filming rules so an attorney needs to be present to work out all the filming permits.
Everyone is cranky. And the source says that the Biermann bunch is eating their feelings. They are eating their way through half the food budget for the entire season in less than two weeksof filming. Honestly though, they have six kids. I don’t think production realized how expensive it is to feel a family of eight who are accustomed to eating whatever they want whenever they want.
The season will focus a lot on Kim and Brielle being clueless as they discover rural America. Doesn’t that sound like fun? It’s meant to be a scripted, non-scripted comedy. It’s not really hard to laugh at Kim and Brielle. So, they will probably get their comedy. And I will probably watch. Because to be honest, Don’t Be Tardy can be a pretty good show. I just hate thirty minute shows.
On the show they will pretend they are are living in the RV but in actuality, they are staying in hotels all along the way. And let’s just say that the lovey dovey Instagram photos Kim posts do not depict the actual mood on board. Can you imagine traveling in an RV for five weeks with six kids? There is a lot of drama involved. Production is actually taking shifts to keep their sanity. A week or so on and then they trade out. Not all the positions. Just the higher ups who can pull rank.
So will you be watching Don’t Be Tardy meets The Simple Life?
