I cannot explain to you guys enough to PUHLEASE read the commenting rules and if we are going to have some fun on the weekends. You need to stop with the horrible stuff. DO NOT EMAIL ME WITH THEM. I AM FULL OF YOUR TRAGEDIES! I. CAN. NOT. Please stop emailing me your problems. Please stop telling me your problems. Please stop. I am not your psychiatrist. It is not that I don’t care or that I do not love you all. I do Too much. But I have a lot of shit I am dealing with right now and I cannot with other peoples issues right now. Some of you know I am fine with other people’s issues BUT THIS IS NOT THE TIME.
I need this to be the fun place. And I am not sure I can do this much longer if this turns to a hate site for whoever. Just have fun.
So, in the FUN PLACE I ASK YOU… What are you binge watching this weekend? I am bingeing a show called Younger on TVLand. I know, me neither but it is really good. And no this is not an ad, but if TVland would like to whore me out I could use the money!
Look, I am not expecting anyone to kiss my ass. I am not expecting anyone to believe my tea. You decide what you want to do,
But when you suck up to my face, and lie behind my back. We have a problem.
Cat ladies never die, they just fade away…
I’m watching the US Open and the Braves. Slow cooking some beef and roasting some corn. That about sums up my weekend. No binge watching, really, unless you count cooking shows. Maybe Imma bake a cake, too..mmmm.
I thought my post went thru last weekend. ive been watching escape to the chateau . its about a couple from England who buy and old french chateau and restore it. pbs had only a couple of shows so I found the rest online and have been watching them. there really good.
I dunno about binge watching – but this weekend we are going to watch the first episode of season 2 of Big Little Lies – I know Meryl Streep will rock. I liked the whole cast last season – still blows my mind that these award winning actors are on my tv – use to be that Tv was shamesville.
Another show we will be watching is – My lottery Dream Home – I don’t know if this is a USA show, but we watch it on HGTV channel – too awesome, people that win the lottey – various amount of wins , most of the searches are in USA , but he has had a few shows in Canada. the lottery winner contacts this guy, and he graciiously finds the home of their dreams .
Such a cool show, most winners are either – pay cheque to pay cheque, or almost retired, it is fun to watch the winner and the guest host – he is a hoot.
I love the host of my lottery’s dream home!
I fell in love with younger. It’s my 2nd favorite show after RHONY. Let it make you smile.
Good morning Erica May
he def is hilarious!
I just binged the first season of big little lies!! It was so good! Just watched season 2 premiere and Meryl…wow. Another amazing addition to an already stellar cast.
I am watching BLL2 also. But I binged 600lb life this weekend. Happy Fathers Day to all families out there except Jimmie Edmonds!
I watched the first two seasons of Younger and loved it. For some reason I forgot about it. It might be time to binge it now. I binged the first season of Big Little Lies last weekend and now I’m looking for something else to watch until Big Brother & BBAD start, then my life will be work, walking my chubby dog and all things Big Brother. I can’t wait for your recaps!
Hi guys, I have been binge watching ” Shameless” with each show the more I can’t believe people or a family can be this awful, or maybe it is just me, anyway I can’t get enough of it. I watched Big Little Lies last wknd. That’s about all the normal shows, I can’t wait for Big Brother to start, to me that means summer is officially here, and I can’t wait to see Julie again. I watch way too much american news, I am obsessed with your politics, especially your president, I just want to see him dragged out of the big house, lol. Oh and yes I’m canadian and feel very sorry for y’all.
Shameless is one of my all time favorites! They are so bad it’s actually funny. I wish I could get my hands on the original UK version.
It’s on Netflix…
It is very difficult to understand their accents. We put the closed captioning on.
It’s available on Hulu, too.
A bit drunkard tonight, but I will be catching up on Handmaids tomorrow.
Love this question! Just finished first season “Gentleman Jack”. Has a great actress Suranne Jones. Based on a true story of a woman who in the early 1800’s who challenged gender roles & kept an encrypted diary about her life. I do it no justice – it’s fantastic – watch it!
Gentleman Jack caught my eye because Suranne was in another one of my favorite shows (also extremely binge-worthy) “Doctor Foster”. Along with Suranne, Jodie Comer who plays Villanelle was in it. It’s the train wreck you can’t stop watching.
If you want a great binge that goes on & on, there are 7 seasons of “Off-Spring”! It’s an Australian show about a quirky obstetrician & her nutty family.
What channel/service is gentleman jack on? I am also a big fan of Dr Foster, hoping for a third season.
I LOVED Gentleman Jack and was disappointed there weren’t more episodes. Really really good. It’s on HBO.
I binged two seasons of Fleabag last weekend and it was really good. Read it was by the same producer or writer (?) as Killing Eve.
Haven’t decided if I will binge anything this weekend. Will try the second season of Big Little Lies but have to wait until there are more episodes available. I’m not very good at watching shows week to week. Either I forget to watch or I forget what happened the week before.
fleabag is great, I watched it all last week. Funny and smart. Hope they make another season. I also watched all of Crashing, 3 seasons, it was so good.
I like Gentleman Jack. It’s a bit slow at times but I’d never seen Suranne Jones before and she’s great.
@JanFan – same! I loved Gentleman Jack! It’s really good. Also LOVE LOVE LOVE Offspring. Offspring is so good you’ll watch it and forget all about The Housewives! It has like 7 – 8 seasons too and you cannot stop watching. Very bingeable!
Suranne Jones starred in “Scott and Bailey”, a binge worthy series as well.
For some reason I am hooked on BBC crime shows, some series like “Midsomer Murders” have a bazillion seasons and long episodes, “Grantchester” and “Father Brown”…sadly it appears there is a lot of murder in the pristine countryside and small parishes of GB, who knew? I’m glued to it!
I work night shift in a sleep lab so I’m always playing something for noise. Usually I’m using this time to catch up on my shows, but recently I can’t bare to watch Bravo programming. Idk why , but I’m over it except for RHNYC. So, I started binge watching” Mom” on CBS which It’s hilarious to me. Also, “People magazine investigates” and “people magazine investigated Cults” on ID discovery.
Oh and “people magazine investigated cults” adjacent . I watched “Jonestown terror in the Jungle” it’s a documentary on Jonestown massacre/cult directed by Leonardo DiCaprio and it’s on the Sundance network. I had to sign up for a week free trial to watch it lol. I never really knew the story the massacre was a
But before my time, but I’m fascinated by it. Also, I know Jonestown is depressing, so I’m sorry. The 3 part documentary was really good.
@Erica same I’m over Bravo too. RHNY I watch but none of the others. I like SC but this season is very meh. It’s repetitive and they have no storyline it’s weird.
I am re-watching Stranger Things because the new season drops in 3 weeks, then I’m bingeing Downton Abbey to get ready for the movie coming out!
Dying to see that film. Also Doctor Slleep with Ewan McGregor looks like some spooky fun ! Toni Morrison documentary in Boston this weekend if I can manage to get out of my bathing suit , abandon my poolside muse position & get motivated!
Where can you binge watch on Downton Abbey?
Prime video (Amazon prime)
Finished binge re-watching Gavin and Stacey, this morning, in anticipation of the Christmas special at last! ‘alright Stace, alright Gav, what’s occurin?’
Finished Tales of the City…loved! If you don’t have Netflix I highly recommend the books by Armistead Maupin. There are nine books but you can buy compilations of 1-3, 4-6 and 7-9 on Kindle for pretty cheap and you will be entertained for weeks!
Tamara, you are wonderful – hang in there!
I just discovered “Fleabag” on Amazon Prime, from BBC, and am losing my shit. This show is hilarious, raunchy, and brilliant.
Like you. ?
OK, someone mentioned it on the radio – I didn’t even catch what they were saying about it, but I’m putting it on my list!
I’ll be watching the St. Louis Blues Stanley Cup champions parade, live and in person! It took St. Louis 50 years to win the Stanley Cup. As someone who lives in Oakville, MO, I’m extra proud of Pat Maroon, Oakville High School’s star hockey player back in the day! Oh, and my fantasy husband, Jon Hamm will be there too!
Woohoo my husband’s a big coyotes fan but he was rooting for St Louis Blues have fun at the parade
Got my Stanley-Gloria shirt on! We hit the Alton Farmer Market, loaded up on food to cook. Watched parade.
Now I am resting after cooking. And watching the Cards game. JIM EDMONDS is doing part of the telecast, and honestly, I love how he calls a game.
Megan’s all upset. Doesn’t she know how you get them is how you loose them?
I’m not binging but I have filled my Sunday GOT hole with Naked and Afraid XL. They have been dumped in an absolute hell hole that looks like paradise. I wish someone would realize you are catching anything in an effing snare!
You aren’t catching anything in an effing snare is what I meant to type.
I just watched both seasons of Fleabag (6 shows each) and thought it was one of the best shows I’ve seen. Very original. Love the characters.
I love it too Lisa!
Second that!
I’m not watching too much television these days but I am always listening to podcasts while I work. If you haven’t listened to the Hollywood Godfather podcast I highly recommend it. Gianni Russo, who is the Hollywood Godfather, was banging Marilyn Monroe at 15, besties with Sinatra and hung with Elvis – the stories he tells are like nothing you’ve ever heard or read about!!
I was spellbound as he outlined how US government forced Howard Hughes to become a drug addict (heroin) … he wasn’t a germophobe/recluse for the last 20 years of his life like we all heard – no he was fucked up out of his mind on drugs pumped into him by the gov’t!!!
Just really crazy stuff.
If you’re into true crime, give Casefile a go. I am hooked.
Thanks! This kept getting recommended to me but I was ignoring but I am a nut about Howard Hughes stuff, My dad used to do impressions of Hughes telling someone to “go put a hamburger in that tree”. For some reason that just cracked my dad up.
Rewatching Yellowstone to get ready for season 2 because DANG Kevin Costner still does it for me.
Omg yes!!!!!
I am 34 but love me some Kevin Costner; not to mention that the show itself is wonderfully well scripted, great chemistry between the actors, and absolutely beautiful backdrop of Montana.
Did you watch Costner and Woody Harrelson on the Netflix movie The Highwaymen, so good. About the retired Texas Rangers sent in as last resort to catch Bonnie and Clyde.
Loved this movie. There’s something about old guys in movies.
That was a great movie, though in it Costner isnt the heart throb he used to be!
Binging the new season of Jessica Jones tgen onto finush season 4 of Lucifer…i love supernatural crap ok??
I loved Younger for the first few seasons and then drifted away from it. I might have to look up to see if it’s part of On Demand with my cable (I don’t have Netflix). This weekend, I’ll primarily be watching the U.S. Open Golf. As is the case with any of the majors, I’m parked in front of the tv and the channel doesn’t change while golf is on.
Younger is on TVLAND ?
I can’t get enough of 90 Day Fiance… every version, I love every train wreck episode.
Oh, me too! I love Sumit, but he’s probably too good to be true…
I second that…..such a trainwreck but I can’t stop watching. They also started a spin off called 90 day fiance pillow talk where some of the former castmates with big and fun personalities comment on the show. Their reactions are so comedic most of the time and echo my thoughts and feelings about the craziness on 90 Day Fiancee!! Lmao!!
We’re watching Bloodline because I read it was like the Sopranos set in Florida. Five episodes in and – “meh”. Season 1 will have to end with a bang to get me to watch season 2. ( I would love to re-watch the Sopranos, but it was my husband’s ex-business partner’s (a**hole) favorite show. Brings back too many bad memories. )
I think I’m going to do a Chrisley Knows Best binge watch. I like Nanny Faye.
I love it when Nanny and Biff or whatever they named the son go on adventures!
Binge watching Chernobyl. Kind of depressing but learning stuff.
I’m not watching anything this weekend BUT the show Yellowstone on the Paramount channel starts season 2 on Weds and I am sooo excited! I highly recommend Season 1, if you’ve never watched it before!
Vintage VHS pile of films Ice Castles Endless Love Torch Song Trilogy Making Love & drumroll please SOMEWHERE IN TIME with Christopher Reeve & Jane Seymour. Recalling my misspent youth.
Awww, Somewhere in time…I loved that movie!!!! You’re onto something Marc, enjoy your day! Christopher Reeve was everything!
Great choices, Marc! Is it the original “Endless Love”? My oh my, Martin Hewitt was HOT!
OMFG, “Somewhere In Time” the best romantic movie ever made, on so many levels-have fun!
My first childhood crush was Martin Hewitt! Franco Zefferelli really got great performances out of he & Brooke Shields. Love the soundtrack too ! Have a great weekend friends !
Somewhere In Time is such a beautiful love story. I always loved that movie. Thanks for the reminder. I might buy it on Amazon. Have a great weekend.
The soundtrack is the bomb. Nothing gets me ironing diligently more than that beautifully romantic soundtrack. I iron my bedsheets with heavy starch & feel like a guest at the Ritz Carlton ! Have a great week my friend !
Wow! Fancy! I love hearing your stories. You make everything seem so cozy and fun, including ironing bed sheets. Hope you had a great weekend along with everyone else here:)
Love watching “The Zoo,” “The Aquarium,” which I believe is in Georgia, “Animal Cribs” and “My Cat from Hell.” Happy people and lots of cute animals.
Watched What If last weekend on Netflix, glad Big Little Lies is back, 90 day fiancé pillow talk is good, a lot like the Peoples couch , but all about 90 day fiancé. Grand Hotel starts Monday and heard it is good. Trying to detox from Bravo.
Hoping to get Dead to Me binged today or tomorrow.
Dead to me is GREAT! Just hate having to wait for season 2!
Dead to Me is fantastic
Anybody else watching Claws?
No TV yet today. I will be watching an exciting t-ball game, but it won’t be televised. It’s a girls league and I’m rooting for the Pink Flamingos! I may watch the Hangover again. That scene where the band is playing at the wedding just cracks me up to no end. Maybe I’ll just put that scene on repeat. It might also be time for me to read my copy of “The Best of Calvin & Hobbs” again. It just makes me smile.
I LOVE YOUNGER!!! Haven’t missed an episode and I am so crushing on Mariska Hargitay’s hot husband!
I’ve got some good news for you, I found round trip airfare from Miami to Paris for $340 round trip! Guess who is going to Paris this fall?
??
I hope you journal and share because I bet your trip will be fabulous. And so would your reports.
On Netflix I’m loving The Worlds Most Extraordinary Homes with Caroline Quentin and Piers Taylor as they visit amazing homes all over the world. It’s such a great show to watch while scrolling on your phone. Caroline’s voice gets super high pitched when something exciting is about to happen which serves as a great cue to look up.
I’ve also been watching Naked and Afraid XL but can’t ever get through the 2 freakin hour show. Why is it so long?!?!?
If you’re looking for a super light hearted movie, we saw secret life of pets 2 last night and it was perfection. All about how it’s okay to be afraid.
Lol, the ONLY movie I would consider going to a theater to see is “SECRET LIFE OF PETS”. LOOKS so cute!!
Naked and Afraid is intense, I usually watch it in two installments. It puts any other “survival” shows to shame and I am a huge Survivor fan. They are NAKED with bugs crawling up their asses and thorns poking their feet, It’s an oven during the day and pours at night, and two of them are doing it for 60 days! I dont know how more people dont die.
Ingrid, have you watched Alone? It’s my favorite survival show. There’s about 10 participants in the Arctic and the last one standing wins. But they have no idea how many people are left.
Outlander. The first two seasons came on Netflix last weekend. I started it. I became obsessed. And I subscribed to Starz so I could watch seasons 3 and 4. I am so late to the game. All my friends are making fun of me. But oh my God. I am now researching group tours of Scotland to see if I can put something together and force my friends to go with me. And I think I’ve decided that my next husband needs to be a tall curly-headed Scotsman in a kilt.
I need complete uninterrupted privacy to watch, “do not disturb” is hung on closed bedroom door lol, I couldn’t love Outlander more.
Outlander is fun.
My Roku actually notified me that something I wanted to watch for “free” is available and it is! If you have Amazon Prime tv they have an IMDB channel-(I had not noticed that!)…….so I had been looking for- Searching for Sugarman, and they have it now free for Prime.
Some really heartwarming moments and such a strange true story about an American musician who became a big hit in South Africa but didn’t know until decades later
Fleabag. Again. It was amazing
I am going to binge Monarch of the Glen, it is sweet and innocent and warms my little romantic heart. I always go back to it when I need an escape, especially to a place I really want to see IRL. I am also binge watching Ruyi’s Royal Love in the palace. The costumes and makeup and hair are amazing; and so is the acting. I usually watch a ton of reality TV, but have been laying off for a bit; I come for the recaps which is just as good as watching for now 🙂
Happy weekend
Loved Monarch of the Glen when it was BBC America years ago so much that I bought the series as a gift for my best friend.
I was wondering if I would be the only one to know it ! Not alone yay!
It will be Lifetime movies and anything Vin Diesel for me!
I love watching Live PD on A&E hosted by Dan Abrams. It’s pretty fascinating!
going to finish Gentleman Jack and then binge on second season of Outlander.
On Friday and Saturday nights on A&E from 9pm-12-am I watch Live PD. It is amazing. I am blown away how many people drive without a drivers license and the excuses people give for having drugs on them is hilarious. Also one of the
co-hosts, Sgt. Sean “Sticks” Larkin is incredibly handsome. If anyone decides to watch give it at least 30- 60 minutes. Some nights are better than others and the action can develop in a sec. There are reruns on today and some have been edited.
Just discovered this last week-I’m hooked! I also love Live Rescue, maybe even more!
Finished rewatching S1 of Pose to refresh my memory before watching the 1st episode of S2. Next will likely be finishing up S4 of Magicians, a show I love but never have the ability to focus and watch when it originally airs.
Sneaky Pete!! I didn’t realize that Bryan Cranston created it or something like that & he’s in it too!
Good Omens, with David Tennant and Michael Sheen’s perfect matchup of least likely characters to form a bond of trust and comradely brotherhood that pits them against the Almighty and Satan, while pretending to soldier on for their respective sides.
So brilliant a pairing I doubt that any other two actors could quite pull it off. I find myself not really caring which side wins the battle against/for Armageddon as long as these two remain steadfast to each other. I guess I need to believe somehow, somewhere our concern for each other will win out against partisan divides devised by who knows who or for what purpose. It’s one’s love of fast cars, the other’s appreciation for fine foods that make us want to discover and revel in our differences. Good versus evil takes on a new skin and I like the way we aren’t always sure who should actually be wearing the white wings.
Playing “under pressure” by Bowie for the trailer was all I needed to put this on my binge list.
Fabulous. Gaiman wrote the screenplay, so I knew he’d honor the book. Loved the soundtrack, too.
Forgot to add QueenSugar……are you still watching this??? Its so good.
Also am a live PD fan.
Started off watching “paw patrol”. Now it’s “Nazi’s on crystal meth” I feel like this juxtaposition accurately describes my life.
Southern Charm- Season Two. It’s really interesting (in retrospect) to see how Catherine was portrayed now that we all know what happened. That is
I’m going to watch last two weeks of missed shows. Excited to have lots of catch up, my knees are replaced and bionic, and things could not be better.
So happy ☺ to be home and going to watch tv, my favorite “to do”.
P.s. Finding out that “Big Little Lies” season two started, yay! !!
I’m watching a discovery of witches. It’s fantastic with Teresa Palmer and Mathew Goode.
I binged that last weekend. I’m a fan!
Discovery of Witches was great. Matthew Goode is some good eye candy and he and Teresa Palmer have really good chemistry. I may have even had a nice dream with him in it. ???bode
Will check that out ! Love anything with witches & Matthew Goode. Have you seen the Tom Ford film A SINGLE MAN ? Matthew Goode is charming in it ! Colin Firth & Julianne Moore deserved Oscars for their subdued nuanced performances.
I just finished binging season 1 of Succession on HBO and holy crap it was gooood!!
The characters are all such horrible people but it is so entertaining! Cant wait for season 2 in August
Thanks for the “Succession” review . Looks like a great “to watch” . 🙂
Love Succession.
HBO: Deadwood series and Movie
Netflix shows: The Office, Parks and Recreation, Black Mirror, and My Next Guest…with David Letterman
Netflix movies: Always Be My Maybe
Don’t judge me…
Love the show Claws – Ms Nash is killing it!!!
Also going to tune in on Monday to see Grand Hotel ?
I love Claws too, so glad it’s back!
I love Claws! I was glad to see it come back for another season.
I tweeted you my plans because I could not figure out how to post it here. It is too nice outside today for me to try to learn the internet. I was thinking of becoming a total luddite, but then I would not be able to Google “Keanu Reeves naked” on the regular anymore.
Binging Outlander and have the first two episodes of the new season of Alone (History channel) on dvr. They’re in the Arctic this time; dropped at their spots in September! Love After Lockup is back soon. Tonight is the premiere of the new show about last seasons cast. Train wrecks are piling up now similar to 90 day show mashups. Funfun!
T T, I really like when we are able to share what shows are being watched. Really helpful to those always looking for new shows. Thanks!!!
Agreed. I pull out my little notebook and jot things down: movies, series, books, sometimes food!
Netflix: Always be my Maybe. 2 thumbs up. Murder Mystery- just meh. Thinking about starting WHAT/IF this evening. Planting the last of my zinnias seedlings and two tomato plants this evening. Best of all- my elephant ear plant has finally sprouted up through the ground and it is going to be glorious! It could get up to 9 feet high! Woo hoo!
Love Claws! Also Animal Kingdom on TNT is sooo good and the cast is great looking. However I think it would be hard to jump into Season 3 without knowing what has happened in the past 2 seasons.
I plan to watch the final episode of Big Little Lies and the first of Season 2 tonight in prep of tomorrow. Gentleman Jack next. Thanks to TT, I learned of Fleabag, so that makes the list. Both seasons of Yellowstone, which slipped through my memory. I thought the teasers for Younger looked promising, seeing it on other lists, I will add to mine. There are a few foreign detective series I have earmarked in my Netflix emails for when I finish the above stuff. Season 2 of Sweetbitter begins July 14. I am a sucker for restaurant stuff. If I were a great writer, I would do a screenplay about restaurant workers. I have a ton of really funny, scary, weird and touching memories.
I prefer my drama on tv, i am rewatching Veronica Mars since they are bringing it back on hulu this summer, drama and sass i missed this show!
Another thing I watch over and over is Colin’s impersonation of Hannah as The Dragon on BD-Med, “Definitely Not Prague.” I’ve watched it dozens of times and I still laugh out loud every time.
It’s at the 46:20 mark if you want to see it again.
It’s not a binge but, Love after Lockup, Life after Lockup premiered last night. It was everything I’d hoped for.
I was traveling for work for the past 2 weeks, and I returned to find 3 new episodes of MAFS on my DVR – YAY!!
But I need something intelligent to balance out all the garbage reality shows I watch. I’m looking forward to ideas in the comments here.
Rewatching Versailles, and happy Big Little LIes is back. Take ’em to school, Meryl!
Watching Discovery ID or as I like to call it: The Training channel.
I love the happy posts..
I haven’t watched TV today. But saw A Star Is Born the other day. I thought it was terrible! The 70’s version with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson is soooo good, sad, but good. This new version is depressing and boring. I dvr’d it, told my sister to come over and watch it (again) with me. She agreed with me, she actually kept saying just fast forward this shit and let me see the end.
I also watched (saved on my dvr) An Unmarried Woman with Jill Clayburgh. It’s so good and I love her. Another 70’s movie. It’s a hard movie to get. It’s about 75 dollars to buy. So, if any of you see it on TCM, tape it.
Then yesterday I came home, put the TV on, and Fatso was on. It was so funny. Dom Deluise goes on a diet. He can’t handle it and keeps craving food. He plays an Italian Catholic man who does the sign of the cross after every sentence. Another movie hard to find. I also forgot how funny it is.
Thanks to all for ideas/ recommends, I’m always l looking for new shows. I watched season 1 of Big Little Lies, and I’ll probably watch season 2 but the book was so much better than the show. I love My Lottery Dream Home too and most things HGTV. One I won’t be watching is the new show by Christina from Flip or Flop, amazing how I actually developed a dislike for someone on television. I just binged, hanging my head in shame and happy no one here knows me…Dynasty. It’s so bad!!
No shame! Was Dynasty everything we remember?
Dynasty is a guilty pleasure of mine too.
Peaky Blinders on Netflix is really good.
The Staircase on Netflix!
I watched that about a year ago. I know nothing about the case except for the documentary. Have you watched completely? I couldn’t decide if he did it or not ultimately, you? I don’t want spoilers if anyone has them, you watch to completion then let me know….
I did finish it and I dont think he did Imo
Handmaid’s Tale. Serena is such a complicated character, They visit that place, and she talks with people and they say things and she sees things, and you think this bitch has got it, she finally gets it, and the hoe back pedals and pulls some straight up evil shit. That and youtube camping videos they’re so freaking relaxing. There’s one guy that does like 2 hour videos with he and his dog out in the Canadian winter wilderness. He hikes out, sets up camp, then cooks usually, feeds the dog. Then he does something stupid like take a huge branch and throw it an tell his dog to go get it, and the dog tries. Eh you have to watch it, but it’s funny. So I start watching it and before I know it two hours gone —> pooof! But really time wells spent very relaxing.
Good Omens on Amazon
I don’t watch a lot of TV during our few warm months, but tonight I watched a Lifetime movie from the early
90s and Heartbreakers with Jennifer Love
Hewitt, who reminded me how insanely jealous I was of her as a teenager and rightly so. She wasn’t a plastic, photoshopped nightmare that the kids look up to now, sadly.
She is in that 911 tv show, she is great in it.
I’m all over the place. Binge watching The Chi, 2nd season; about to start new season of Hand Maids Tale, got through 2 episodes of When They See Us, will finish, need to watch in small doses; and I saw an interesting short story called Guava Island starring Donald Glover & Rihanna on Amazon Prime.
I’m going to make salmon patties with a salad made of spring mix, tomato, avocado, mango, pasta, feta cheese & fig & walnut balsamic vinegar.
Planning to take to my elderly neighbor for Father’s Day. He has been asking for those patties for awhile.
Laila- if you like Dom Delouise you must watch the movie “Hot Stuff”. It’s from 1979 starring Dom, Jerry Reed and Susan Pleshett. They play Miami cops that go under cover as pawn shop owners to round up local theives and bust them in one swoop. It is hilarious. The comedy is similar to Smokey and the Bandit. Lots of action and laughs. There are several cameos from popular actors from the late 70’s.
Thank you, Kerry. I do like him. I will definitely look for this movie. I love old movies.
I just finished Abducted in Plain Sight on Netflix. Very disturbing. Now watching “The Chef Show” and “Always be my Maybe” Finished Killing Eve. Thanks TT for the recommendation. Hoping you are doing okay!
Not doing much binge watching, flew to NYC and drove back to Tennessee this week with my favorite person in the world my sister. We knew we’d be stopping and found a good room Tuesday night and watched RHOBH together. (She lives in Boston). But I fell asleep, my DVR hasn’t recorded the last 3 episodes so that’s what I’ll be doing Tuesday night. I’m glad you’re setting boundaries, healthy. Do you girl!! Been working ever since. I work then fall into bed. Rinse and repeat. Off Tuesday and Wednesday O happy day!!
I’m late to the party!!!
I’m going to treat this as an open forum and announce, in part to keep me accountable, that I have officially lost a total of 9.9 lbs as of Friday (my weigh in day) after starting WW (Weight Watchers) on June 1st! Survived my nephew’s high school graduation party (saved up points for that) and Father’s Day (same).
Took another ceramics class this weekend, and feel inspired all over again.
Have plans (beyond a book club evening) of hanging out with the cat this week after work. So, in between the usual Bravo shows since my winter shows have wound up (I already miss Big Bang Theory), I am planning on binging the 1st season of Pose. I am STILL on the fence with starting Downton Abbey though.
If people are adding to their lists and you haven’t already caught on to the phenomenons, watch Grace and Frankie, The Crown, (both Netflix) and Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon). I’m pretty much obsessed with them all! So much so that I am thinking I might be rewatching them this summer.
Oh!!! Forgot with some movie recommendations if you want to get out of the house! I recommend Long Shot (the Charlize Theron/Seth Rogan flick that didn’t get enough attention) and Rocketman, that deserves EVERY DAMN ACCOLADE it gets!!!
Seriously…. I’m already rooting for Rocketman for the Oscars. If you don’t celebrate Pride as an ally in any other way (if you are cis, straight ally)… GO SEE THIS FILM. Then donate to a local organization.
Well I’m over here in left field because I enjoy sci fi and comedy. I love Bravo and the Housewives, but when I’ve had my fill of narcissistic bitches creating drama over minor details, sci-fi is my retreat and palate cleanser. When I watch shows after work, I want to watch something that takes me to a whole other world and can make me laugh after a grueling and serious day. My sci-fi/ comedy favorites are Futurama, Rick and Morty, Z Nation, Doctor Who. One new show that just premiered on FX is called What We Do In the Shadows which is a ridiculous comedy about modern day vampires. Totally takes my mind off the problems of the day.
