Project Runway Recap: A Winner Is Chosen!

June 14, 2019 by tamaratattles 38 Comments

Project Runway

Hey everyone! Well here we are at the end of a season I would never have thought possible. We lost our Beloved Tim, yet we gained the amazing Christian Siriano. We were somewhat pleased with the judging (most of the time). But, we do feel there were some mistakes made along the way. But it is always easier to be an armchair quarterback. All in all, we have some of the things we love back (proper budgets, decent time frames, good judges, etc). So we will reserve final judgment on this season until we see who they proclaim the winner. Let’s get to the Project Runway recap for the grand finale!

The Lovely Les is away for a baseball tournament, but the fashion gods have smiled upon us and she is able to see the show and report back from her hotel. She could be with the other moms hanging out…but she is dedicated to fashion and us!

The new workspace contains a huge accessories wall. Christian is trying to tell them the final parameters of the design of their shows and Hester cannot pay attention. She is distracted by the shoes. Like a pixie schoolmarm, Christian snaps her back into focus. Marni Senofonte will be there to give advice on styling and presentation. The big twist is that they have the option to go to Mood with $300 if they wish. But they will lose that time to work.

Choosing The Models

There is a great selection of models to choose from. Garo wants the curvy gals as his collection has lots of corsets. (shocker). Hester wants the quirky/cool/funky girls for obvious reasons. Sebastian is quietly freaking out because he sees Garo with his 17 outfits and Hester with her explosion of prints. He’s thinking he didn’t do enough? No! We scream. You have!!! Do NOT overthink this!

Sebastian wants to go to Mood. When Christian asks him why, he says for thread. Christian tells him if he goes to Mood for thread he will murder him. Hester is in full blown OCD mode. We think Garo has done too much and now it is majorly screwing up his time. Les says this is why a one’s closet should be easy to navigate and not a storage bin. When you have too many opinions it is overwhelming.

The next day, of course Sebastian goes to Mood. Papi, WHY?Christian is basically telling him he is an idiot. He is too in his head. We are on the verge of panic over Sebastian screwing this up. We wants to ditch the Nina look? Garo can ditch his Nina look, but Sebastian should not. He’s thinking he needs to show more? Honey you are NOT Hester or Garo. You are you. Please focus.

Marni Arrives To Help With Styling

In the Studio, Marni arrives to give styling suggestions. She thinks Garo has gotten too focused on gowns and he’s lost his edge. He needs funkier shoes to grunge it up a bit. Garo acknowledges it needs to be punk rock elegance. Les is betting he’s going to say goth princess next.

Hester describes her makeup ideas to Marni. Marni is tells her to keep it neutral.. Hester is using wigs. Not sure how we feel about that.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE PROJECT RUNWAY RECAPS!

Marni tells Sebastian he doesn’t need to show everything. Too many accessories make it busy.

Christian tries to gather them together and once again Hester keeps working. Hester STOP ANNOYING CHRISTIAN. The first five models come in and Garo is screwed. He needs to redo Kate’s corset dress? Dude…pick something else!!! Now HE wants to get rid of Nina’s favorite look??? What are these guys smoking? Les is freaking out. I am freaking out. I text her that Hester is going to win because these guys are making idiotic decisions. The look Sebastian is designing sucks in comparison to the Nina look.

Saint Diane von Furstenberg

The designers arrive at Diane von Furstenburg’s flagship NYC store and Atelier. She descends the stairs like the goddess she is. The designers are completely starstruck as they should be. They ask her questions which she graciously answers. She tells them to be true to themselves and what they believe in. She explains the ups and downs of the business and how you have to go with your gut and your heart. It’s pretty generic stuff, but coming out of Diane’s mouth sounds like sage advice for the ages.

We are actually worried about this crew and how they take it. Hester Sunshine and Garo Sparo tend to go nuts when they have free reign. Sebastian gets too in his head. During commercial break Les frantically texts me: Did you see the preview??? Sebastian is sabotaging himself!! I write back that if he loses it is his own damn fault. She then says: And Christian will murder him. I’m Texting her back: NOOOOO! Listen to Christian and Marni!!

CLICK HERE FOR MORE PROJECT RUNWAY RECAPS!

Sebastian tells Christian Diane’s words made him realize he needs to stick with his heart. He’s ditching the Mood crap. Thank you Saint Diane!! Garo, on the other hand, is determined to show more more more. So he is ditching the dress the judges love. Les texts that he is killing her. I text that he is in third place. He’s determined to redo this gold dress and it’s going to sink him. He knows he goes costumey. He is self-aware of his challenges. I just don’t understand why he won’t listen.

Hester has kept her Nina look, but tightened it up. Sebastian has a new lease on life. He knows he has problems telling stories but he finally feels good about what he has done. Hester is happy to finally be completely out of the box and let her inner freak flag fly. Christian gathers them around for a beautiful pep talk. He knows they are tired, he has literally been there. He has been so honored to work with all of them and he hopes he has been helpful. Christian, we love you. He asks if they should hug or “keep it fashion”. They opt for the hug.

Final Runway Day Mishaps

The designers arrive at Skylight One Hanson in Brooklyn. It’s a massive old bank turned into an event space. They geek out over the experience. They have three professional dressers to help them. I cannot tell you how incredibly helpful that will be. A professional dresser can steam, sew, clean and handle pretty much anything you throw at them. One of Garo’s looks got torn and he is going to air cut it. Sebastian is having a heart attack. Sebastian has asked his models not to eat, drink or basically touch anything, but somehow there is what looks like a coffee stain on his flowy white gown. They manage to get it out.

Les wonders if the bright red lips will work with all of Hester’s looks. I’m worried about the tribal makeup Sebastian has decided to use on only one model. Les is still lamenting the absence of Garo’s sequin paillette dress. The seam on that gold dress is going to kill him. Hasn’t that poor model been through enough this season??

The Runway

Kalie Kloss walks out wearing a dress that Les thinks could have some from Sebastian’s collection. Diane is wearing a bomber jacket with a newspaper print. I had a pencil skirt in the early eighties in the same pattern with matching ballet flats. I used to wear it with a backwards royal blue Limited v-neck sweater. Anyone remember those sweaters? Sorry…I digress.

Sebastian Grey is first. His collection is called “Reminiscence” honoring his life in Columbia. The orange looks come out first. We are loving the flowy Nina dress without the belt. The pops of blue are lovely. There is a trench coat I want. The woven leather is a great juxtaposition with the softer shinier fabrics. The laced up woven pants are cool yet elegant. Les thinks he was very smart to edit as much as he did. Les is so happy he focused more on the trench and woven aspects. A trench is a classic. I take it back with the makeup on the last look. It works. That dress is insane. A woven column dress. Les texts that he always makes her cry.

Garo Sparo is next. We are biting our nails on this one. His collection is “A Detour Through My Cosmic Mind.”

I’m loving the first three looks! I want the hoodie dress. Les would look insane in the black corseted jumpsuit look.

The reveal went better this time. And then we get to the gowns. Poor Kate looks uncomfortable in this gold dress. The front is okay, but the back is a mess.

Les texts that she knew it wasn’t going to be cohesive. She thinks he doesn’t get restraint. The white dress with a gold dress looks like a costume.

The big X on the chest?

The dress he swapped out for the sequined dress is okay, but the gold dress should not be there.

Nina is not happy. Garo is not winning. We loved the beginning and were disappointed in the end.

And Now For Something Extra

Hester Sunshine has titled her collection “Cyber Rococo” or “Y2K Coco,” She wants everyone to get ready for something “extra”.

The first look is very “extra”. It is very fun. It is also VERY editorial. Les thinks it could work for a ballet. Then the clown jumpsuit comes out. No.

The babydoll dresses are cute and the accessories work wonderfully. Hester has done some editing which makes this wild, but contained. She has done an awesome job.

Les thinks there are too many juxtapositions of prints, but that’s the part I’m okay with. I like the puffer jackets and the fake fur, but I’m sorry it’s just too junior for me.

It IS fun and sophisticated in a way that She Who Must Not Be Named collection was not.

I just wore a lot of this stuff in the nineties. I admire Hester but I’m still getting Betsey Johnson/Cher Horowitz.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE PROJECT RUNWAY RECAPS!

We love everyone in the group, but we choose Sebastian to win. We felt like Elaine was driving the train in the beginning of the season. She’s campaigning for Hester. I think Nina Garcia is about to assert herself. Hester was up and down all season. Sebastian was consistent and is more mature.

Project Runway
Brandon Maxwell is not amused.

The Judges Discussion

Nina loves that Sebastian took something artisanal and made it high-fashion. It look effortless and expensive. Diane thought he did an amazing job combining casual and streetwear and made it refined. She loves the blue wrap dress. If DVF loves your wrap dress, you are golden. Karlie loves how he made it completely his. Brandon thought it was very chic and every woman would want to wear it. But he wished he had not started the show with the orange look. Elaine says his talent is “exponential”.

Project Runway

The Judges thought that Hester’s first look was “extra for sure” but were confused by the looks that followed in terms of continuity. Nina thinks her skill with accessories is “unparalleled”. Elaine thinks she has her own special “Vibe”. Brandon did not like the 90’s gymnastics red outfit. He references Clueless! Diane disagrees. She thinks Hester’s is fun and fresh. DVF thinks that look was a great combo of Hester’s aesthetic. She thinks that Hester has great energy and is the future. She would be happy for Hester to come work for her. Damn! Although, can you imagine Hester arguing with Diane Von Furstenburg? Diane loved the “fuck you” aspect of it. Well alrighty then.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE PROJECT RUNWAY RECAPS!

The judges love bits and pieces of Garo’s collection. He gets a Thierry Mugler shoutout. The love the gold dress but the back is a mess. They don’t understand why he wouldn’t send out the sequined dress they all loved? Brandon loved the white pants but hated the black zipper. Elaine actually liked the intergalactic white dress, but she wanted the tailoring to be more refined. While Garo has his moments, taste level has always been his issue and that is the kiss of death with Nina Garcia.

And The Winner of Project Runway IS…

The judges immediately remove Garo Sparo from the running which isn’t a surprise. Garo knew this was coming. He looked resigned. Les thinks that Garo has had success and is established so he went more extreme but it did not pan out. Even though DVF thinks Hester is the future, Brandon and Nina want Sebastian to win. I text Les: PLEASE DEAR GOD LET IT BE SEBASTIAN.

SEBASTIAN GREY WINS PROJECT RUNWAY! We are so happy!! Everyone is onstage for the decision. Everyone is happy for him. He cries. Nina tells him how he is “The Personification of the American Dream”. He came from somewhere else, never ever gave up and worked his ass off. He is crying. We are crying. He went from cleaning houses to this! And Hester might get to work for Diane Von Furstenburg!

We are seriously happy this Project Runway season ended the way it did. Les thinks it is redemption for the one who must not be named. Do you guys agree? Christian turns to us at the end and says he leaving the lights on for more designers. We never thought we would say this, but this is a fabulous beginning for a new generation. Do you guys agree? Les and I are getting together for a bonus blog on past Project Runway moments throughout the years. Hope you will join us for a trip down memory lane! Xoxoxo CJ and Les.

I loved the finale. Sebastian deserved the win but I was sure it would go to Hester. Her Marie Antoinette first look with wig send shivers down my spine. I love whimsy, fantasy & creative expression in fashion. Great season of Progect Runway ! DVF is the cat’s pajamas. Love her.

I liked all three designers and was happy w the outcome.

Personally, I liked Garo’s collection the best!
Im not usually a fan of Hester’s work but enjoyed her collection, especially her first and final looks.
Sebastian was consistent all competition long and DESERVED it!

I’m glad the misogyny network finally got a reboot done right 😜

Bravo really did do a reboot right with this season of Project Runway. A slam dunk, drop the mike, whatever you want to call it, I completely loved this season with one exception, I wanted more Renee, I’ve started following her and plan to make a few purchases.

I adored Sebastian’s runway and was over joyed that he won. His clothes are fabulous. God, they were so elegant! Hester’s clothes are too costumey for me but I am of a certain age. Garo’s collection was lovely but I was under whelmed. Thanks for the recaps and I can’t wait for the next season.

ditto on Micmac”s comment. The new Project Runway with Kalie Kloss, Christian, and Brandon worked very well for me. They are what I needed to return watching.
Yesterday I was looking through Marie Claire and saw two breath taking long skirts in an ad. One skirt I really wanted, it was Marnie at $1,950. I still want it. Very seldom in the past years with clothing when the price does not matter, I liked it that much.
Thank You CJ and Les for the most awesome recap season. Your finest work yet

Wow this was a fantastic season. I have fallen in love with Christian all over again. He has done such a great job as mentor. Thrilled that Sebastian won the whole thing. I wanted him to win from the first challenge.

This show is back where it belongs and the budget and time restraints are just perfect. I could do with the show being only one hour though. Otherwise perfect season.

Thank you for recapping this show for us Les and CJ!! Your recaps are so good, I can feel your love for fashion and this show in your words. Also, I learn a lot from you guys.

I loved that the episodes are longer, there really wasn’t much “fill” I felt like it was nonstop work for these designers. I watched every minute of every show and sometimes rewound and rewatched!

I understand that extended time made the recaps much harder for CJ, Les and Tamara but you three (four, because the comments here are always amazing… once the ugliness stopped) really were the icing on the cake for me this season. I enjoyed having this art explained by two serious learned fashion savvy, funny friends who pull no punches and take time away from their real world to break down this world of fashion for me. Thank you again, CJ ,Les and Tamara!

This season was great! Really happy with Sebastian winning. He is so talented! I actually liked most people this season but Sebastian is like the designer who just came to us fully formed.

It has been suggested by some people that Hester wouldn’t take DVF up on her offer because NYC is so far from her home, and/or because she wouldn’t want someone advising her. While I certainly agree that Hester seems to be allergic to most suggestions, I think she would still explore what Diane had in mind. And since Hester wanted to win, she had to be prepared to go to NYC for some of the prizes.

I was holding my breath but happy that Sebastian won this.

Christian has been wonderful in his new role. I was pleasantly surprise by Karlie. I could do without Elaine. Everything else was just fine.

Apologies in advance if I go on too much about this season/finale but it was fantastic and the recaps made it even better!

I fangirled out over DVF! Because DVF!

Sebastian’s collection was fantastic! My expertise in reality show production made me see right through the whole rags to riches, I can’t come up with a story… followed by having the best story in the finale. So there was likely some predestination there. I was happy for his win though.

I was disappointed in Garo Sparo. He’s killing it in real life though. He got more name recognition. He was probably fine with accepting third place. Since the day he applied. I loved the guys were fighting over the normal sized women.

I cried during Hester’s show. No idea why. I mean I was happy for her but I thought it was just a release of a lot of things going on. Plus I love seeing women getting credit for hard work. I think it is because praise is hard to come by in the education field. And because I’ve been pulling for Hester all season. I also love her obsession with Thenjin (sp?) She was the model who stole the show this season. Think her first model should have been the last.

Also the look that Brandon hated was one of my favorites. If you didn’t see how the furry arms transitioned into a furry jacket, you missed the magic. So STFU, Brandon. Did you see him mean mugging through most of the runway?

Then when she walked out and the whole cast was there, and she got emo I did too. Again. The judges really teed it up for a Hester win. The fact that we all felt Sebastian was the winner from the very beginning made me think we were being set up for outrage. I was pleasantly surprised when Sebastian won.

The recaps were the best part of the experience for me. It’s very difficult to recap. And getting a ninety minute recap to fit into all the boxes I have to put them in is a PITA for me even though I don’t have to write them, But it is nothing compared to what CJ (and sometimes Les) did. I love reading to learn and I learn something new with all of these recaps.

I will probably have more to say tomorrow. I’ve been out in the cold, cruel world for most of today. I’m worn slap out. I did love all the love this season. After the first few weeks, there was a serious lovefest happening.

Loved your recaps and the finale was awesome. Very happy Sebastian won, he was my favorite all season. I’m surprised that I liked a few of Hester’s peices. Garo, bless his heart. What a time to choke. He picked his worse pieces and removed the judge’s favorite look. Not sure what he was trying to prove but it was an epic fail.

Best show on Bravo, by far.
Thanks for your insights, Les and CJ. Many congratulations to Sebastian. Hester and Garo’s collections were good, but Sebastian was the runaway winner. I love how kind they were to each other throughout.

I am so happy Sebastian won! What a great season! He is a genuinely talented and humble soul and I love that. Seeing Nina choke up while talking to Sebastian was the best compliment she could give him. Christian was a terrific mentor. He knew what he went through when he was a contestant and used that knowledge to mentor everyone. I loved that he spoke honestly and didn’t sugar-coat anything. Great recaps all season! Thank you.

So happy for Sebastian! He was the clear winner, in my book. I enjoyed all three collections, and I had such a good feeling throughout the season for all the designers. I love Christian, “the pixie schoolmarm” with all my heart, just like I love Tim Gunn. Who would’ve thought THAT would happen???

No more cleaning toilets! Yay! I am very happy Sebastian won, but I would have been OK with any of the top three. Because they all were so much better than many of the recent past winners. (Did you notice Sebastian was wearing a banana shirt?)

I was impressed with Hester and Sebastian’s shows and I liked many of Garo’s looks but I didn’t like the looks he chose as much as some of the others. I think they all could have done a better job with the pacing — maybe next season someone could help. (Kelly Cutrone?)

ADORE Christian and Karlie and Nina and Brandon. I can do without Elaine. Especially after she asked Garo why his “Nina look” suit didn’t fit perfectly. BECAUSE HE DIDN’T GET TIME TO TAILOR IT TO THE MODEL, ARE YOU AN IDIOT! I wish Brandon would have chimed in about that.

I fell in love with Christian more each week. Most of all, I enjoyed how kind and supportive the final three were. Most of the designers impressed me with their attitude and mutual admiration.

I appreciate — I wonder if Christian had something to do with this — having a stylist to help and the assistants at the runway show. I think having it where they did with the attendees was even better than fashion week at Lifetime. Plus, the budget and time — it paid off with three spectacular shows. I do wish that the second and third place winners would get SOMETHING. One of those Brother machines Seth Aaron raves about or some big gift card at Mood. A trip somewhere. SOMETHING. Abbie Lee Miller says “Second place is the first to lose.” But at least the dancers get a TROPHY. I hope being back on Bravo eventually will result in some perks, like on Top Chef: trips, money, equipment, etc.

CJ and Les, I have relished every recap and look forward to your “Runway Roundup.”

I use watched the finale and your recap was 100% on point! I totally agree with everything (except the tribal makeup, it bugged me that it was only one one girl). That blue trench was everything! I want! Loved Sebastian’s Nina look. I would actually walk into a store and buy that right now.

I think the judges got it right. Heater was second. Garo was third. Both had some great looks. The first look each sent down was great.

I haven’t watch Runway in years. So happy to have it back on Bravo. I will definitely watch another season and am totally recommitted. Christian was one of my favorite designers and he does a great job as mentor.

I literally burst into tears when Sebastian won. I have watched every stinking episode of PR and it’s spin-offs and have never, ever done that. His leather weaving and top-stitching, along with his father’s belts, were to die for! I need one of those belts in my life. I was worried about Christian replacing the great Tim Gunn, a true gentleman, but Christian honored him and made it his own. I loved having Marni’s POV and the brigade of dressers at the final runway. My mother was obsessed with DVF’s wrap dresses when they came out because they traveled so well. I was able to borrow them sometimes and we wore those suckers out. Great recaps CJ and Les and a great season! Looking forward to the next season.

Season standouts were Christian and the lovability of the designers. The screen lit up when Christian was on. The designers were as intense as ever, but seemed to enjoy each other. Interpersonal drama is not necessary for good t.v., Bravo.

I held my breath at the finale thinking Hester would win. Her opening piece was a show stopper, but the judges would have called it costumie on another designer. Her clientele is a niche market. I really liked many of Garo’s pieces, the black outfits, the skirted dress and the white one. He translated his corset style into mainstream appeal.

So relieved Sebastian won. I wasn’t completely sold on the woven leather. Frankly, I was reminded of some past girl scout projects. However, he has a beautiful, elegant and well crafted style suitable for many women.

I was sorry to see the season end.

I watched and read this season so afraid that without Tim nothing would measure up…so glad that I was wrong! Christian is AWESOME!! I think he brings something that Tim couldn’t to this. He was a contestant so he has been in their shoes so he gets it on a level that Tim never really could unfortunately. Would love to see an episode maybe where they have Christian and Tim mentor them…maybe like an all-stars season or something. I wouldn’t wear anything of Hester’s as I’m almost 50 but man in my youth I would have!!

Thank you for the recaps! Delightful as always ladies! I thought for a moment they were going to say Hester’s name for the win and I was going to scream! This reboot was refreshing although I can do without Elaine as a judge…. Looking forward to next season

It has been a great season, however wish the designers could have been showing at the true New York Fasion Week as in the old days!

It was a wonderful Project Runway season with lots of diversity in both designers and designs. The best 3 went to the finale, and I am delighted Sebastian won. Loved, Karlie and the rest of the judges, and thanks to TT for the wonderful recaps and for a place to lend one’s opinions on a weekly basis. Looking forward to next season. Pray that Christian is back.

Thank you CJ and Les for the great recaps. Project runway reboot on Bravo was excellent, I excellent, I really can’t fault it. Oh! actually we do need the Christian Siriano save.

Elaine needs time to reflect on the height of her ladder when climbing up to her horse, but I give her the benefit of the doubt and hope she is true to herself and not just a society trend type. I think she can only get better and I do like her. But she doesn’t understand cultural appropriation. I normally womansplainit in the context of intellectual property rights and then people have an aha moment.

So much respect for Nina, she is proud of her roots without using it as a beating stick, the little Spanish she spoke to Sebastian to congratulate him warmed my heart.

Christian I love love and love even more. Karlie was amazing in every possible way. Brandon honest but in no way condescending.

So happy for Sebastian, look forward to him reaching dizzying heights of success. I get Garo. Hester is a lovely personality but I don’t see her work as really out there or something never seen. Nothing new under the sun. She would do amazing in Japan. Hester needs to do a pop up shop Tokyo.

And finally, CJ, Les and Tamara what do we do in the PR off season. Fashion corner akin to the gardening corner? Can we extend it to fashion, arts and culture corner? I’ll be in London, England this summer so I will be antiqing with mummy dearest and looking for new up and coming artists to purchase some non derivative pieces, maybe two or three pieces.

These designers are so talented, I enjoyed the show. Thank you for your recaps.

The entire season leaves me feeling good and looking forward to the next season.

All 3 collections had nice pieces. Sebastian’s was my favorite, his designs are simply gorgeous and I would feel gorgeous in them.

Hester’s growth in confidence was nice to see, her designs are cute.

Garo’s creativity was impressive, that man can make a corset look great in any design.

I’m happy for all of them. It was a talented group .

Bravo did an excellent job with Project Runway from picking the designers, judges, challenges,etc..

Elaine is ok, but the rest of the team I definitely want to see next season. Christian did an excellent job. I enjoyed Karli’s personality and her outfits each week. Nina is the best. Brandon is perfect for this show.

Bravo to Bravo & Magic Elves for being back relevance to PR. This was an outstanding season with good to great designers (With the exception of Frankie, a sweet gal but way out of her league). The finale was perhaps the best of all seasons. Sebastian’s collection was mind blowing – beautiful, elegant, artistic with a wearability that would benefit all body types. That last gown! Holy cow – how gorgeous yet simple was it. Amazing talent. So very happy he won. He had my heart from episode one.

Hester’s collection was amazing with regard to her POV. Not my particular taste but I could admire the work and vision she had. Though I think she was too much into herself being so “extra”, her collection showed her skill and artistry and that there was no randomness to her choices. She above all gain the most from this completion. She found a way to focus on what she wanted to do and the validation she received boosted her confidence.

Garo’s collection started out strong. Those first 4-5 outfits were great but once he got into the shiny gowns, he lost me.

A few words about the judges – Nina was far more instructive and kind this season. Her comments always had pin point accuracy but this season even more so. Her words to Sebastian at the end were touching. Brandon has been a breath of fresh air. His commentary has been spot on and funny without that Zac Posen bitchiness. Elaine wasn’t bad though I think she was too interested in Instagram and the “now “. Karlie was sweet throughout and grew as the season went on. And Christian! What to say about Christian. Who thought Tim Gunn could be replaced? But Christian, with the vantage point as a former contestant, judge and successful designer was able to bring all sorts of perspective to the designers and have it accepted because they knew this about him. He brought his flavor to it and just knocked it out of the park.

Finally to Bravo & Magic Elves for giving the designers the budget, TIME (oy! Those former 1 day challenges) and the prestige back to the best reality show on TV. Great season! Great winner!

Thank you so much for recapping PR. I loved Christian when he was a contestant, I love him as the mentor… he was right, every. single. time. in the advice he gave. You can’t teach that level of discernment.

To start with #3… I didn’t think Garo belonged in the finale. The two looks that Bishme presented beyond the one look for Nina were superior to anything Garo showed. And speaking of discernment… Garo jettisoned the dress that got him into the finale. He should have rid himself of the gold lame thing instead.

I thought Hester should have won. I’m not the target market for her clothes but I loved what she put out on the Runway. After her first win, I was hoping that Hester had gotten the confidence to impress & she did just that this season. I hope that she does take a job with DVF because that support & mentoring opportunity could make her.

All that said, it says something about the quality of the two finalists that I’m still happy for Sebastian & can’t quibble with his winning. Nina said that Hester was good with accessories, I thought the same could be said for Sebastian… those belts! All the leather work. Sebastian was a feel good story. Hope to hear more from him in the future.

This was a really nice season to watch. I got teary when the other designers came on. I am very happy for Sebastian. It is my wish that any future bad/sad news coming my way gets delivered by Sebastian.😋 His voice is so calming and sweet. He is like human CBD oil. Garo, the cutie and Hester the boss lady really did great with their collections as well. I loved Christian, he was the perfect person to follow Tim. Thanks for these recaps I enjoyed them so much. None of my friends watch most of my shows so I love coming here and hearing what you have to say. Peace for today!

I absolutely love Sebastian Grey’s collection. I wanted each one of his model come through my television and just hang the garment in my closet. The man is bad. As the season progressed, I wanted him to win, because he just good. That cream pantsuit? I want it.

I was ready to finally hang up PR and did for a w while after THAT ONE won. I decided to give this a chance to see if Bravo could make it better and I LOVED it! I still wish they would give them more days to create something of quality, but I loved it! Christian helps a bunch because he has always been my favorite. If only they could fix the mess that is Allstars…
