Well that didn’t take long. It appears that Apollo Nida is back in Philadelphia’s federal detention center. Apollo was released on parole to a halfway house less than two weeks ago. I posted at that time he might have been on house arrest at his fiancée Sherien Almufti’s house. The two were papped running errands in Philly a few days after he was released.
According to The Blast, and confirmed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Apollo Nida is back behind bars. His current release date is October 15, 2019. So it appears he will be incarcerated for the next four months.
It seems that Apollo Nida violated the terms of his parole. It is unclear what the actual violation was; however, a federal judge in Philadelphia sent him right back to his cell. The obvious options are, not returning to the halfway house on time. Or if he was on house arrest not getting home on time. Another likely violation is drinking or smoking weed or in some way failing a drug test.
Did he even get to talk to his kids? It is highly doubtful that Phaedra rushed to Philadelphia with the boys so they could visit with their father. So he will miss another few months of their lives. Perhaps they at least got to video chat? That is if Phaedra even told the boys he had been released. I am not sure whether Phaedra and Apollo were ever officially divorced. But they have to be, right?
Back in May of 2014, Apollo Nida pled guilty to charges of mail, wire and bank fraud as part of a plea deal. He could have been sentenced to up to thirty years, but he had a really good lawyer. Not Phaedra, an actual lawyer. One of the many things he was able to negotiate was the early release to a halfway house.
But he couldn’t even keep his nose clean for a couple of weeks.
