Right after we saw Porsha have her baby, we get to see Candiace walk down the aisle on this RHOP Recap. From the looks of the previews, it’s a quite dramatic episode. I’m not a fan of Candiace. Not just because of the way her name is spelled, but because of THIS. So lets get her one moment in time over with.
Just from pulling photos alone, it seems obvious to me that Gizelle is the star of this franchise. She’s in pretty much every scene. I’m not mad about that. I’d love to have time to read her new “fiction” book. Gizelle and her friend Kal going to workout. Y’all know how thrilled I am to see real housewives workout, no matter how much I like them. Also, I feel like this scene may have been filmed after an upcoming scene for continuity purposes.
Can some explain to me how we are supposed to believe that that a spoiled brat whose mother is “paying for” this extravagant wedding (pretty sure that is Bravo) hasn’t seen her wedding dress two days before the wedding? It’s very “Cinderella” and there is a lot of strappy stuff happening on her shoulders. Whatever those straps are supposed to be about are making her neckline crooked. But, it is more important for these two to fight about the step-brother coming to the wedding.
Candiace’s Wedding Day
An hour before the wedding, Gizelle gets a call from Sherman saying he has decided he is not going to take her to Candiace’s wedding. She’s acting like a sixteen year old who was stood up for prom. Get a grip, girl! The dramatic music make it seem like someone died.
Meanwhile, Candiace is not happy with her hair for the wedding. Or her mother. She tells the glam squad to keep her mom out of the room. So, she seems pretty miserable on her wedding Day.
This is the first time that Monique has been around most of these ladies since last season. Both Gizelle and Ashley have beef with her, so even more drama is coming. Monique is pissed that Ashley called her out on her drunk driving accident. So, Gizelle is pissed that Monique put Sherman’s arrest for some sort of dalliance in the park on blast. DAYUM. Gizelle’s black and white pants look is stunning! She sure cleaned up nice after that adolescent breakdown. It’s a stunning look. And we see her from the car arrival to her entrance. Because, smoking hot.
Is A Wedding Holding Pen A Real Thing?
I’m not really sure what is going on. Gizelle and Kal, her last minute escort, along with Karen and her husband and others are told they can’t go in until Candiace is at the front of the auditorium. I guess they are all late? Or, it’s a Bravo stunt to have Gizelle and Karen in confined space.
At any rate, Candiace’s father walks her down the aisle and her step-father meets them and continues the walk with her. He mom joins them at the altar. Then everyone else is allowed in. Thank God Gizelle is there to point out that the groom has strung together some R&B lyrics as his vows. Gizelle asks, “Who Does that?” Then answers her own question, “A White Guy With A Brown Dick.” It was really bad.
The Monique Effect
Robyn and Juan were so late they missed the whole wedding. Who does that? Monique is the supposed reason that Sherman didn’t want to come to the wedding. This is the same storyline from Eva’s wedding where the whole thing becomes about someone else. The thing is Gizelle is much more palatable. And I don’t care for the bride on this franchise.
I also don’t care about this conversation between Monique and Gizelle. The green eyed girls are getting wasted on fireballs. I really like Kal. So, this means he is probably gay.
Despite the golden toilet seats, the reception hall is beautiful. Gizelle makes peace with Monique. Gizelle tries to make peace with Karen again. It’s an iffy situation. Candiace sings an original song to her new husband. I suppose It wasn’t as bad as a lap dance. Ashley is wasted. Ultimately, Candiace seemed to enjoy her day
I would love to read your comments on this RHOP Recap. However, if you guys could stop talking about being abused as a child, or watching your parents or pets die, or any other traumas you have suffered in life, that would be great. I’m going to have to start banning people for my own mental health. I’m on day three of horrific anxiety after comments I read last Friday. I don’t want comments or sympathy about this request. Please just stop with triggering comments and talk about this RHOP Recap.
