Shannon and David Beador were in mediation last week in Orange County last week. David Beador finally broke down and hired an attorney. I think that was the key to getting a settlement agreement hashed out. Eventually, the two attorneys reached and agreement and went before a judge stating they were satisfied with the final divorce settlement.
The specifics of the settlement were not disclosed at that time.
However, today The Blast obtained a copy of agreement.
Shannon’s monthly support will be decreased to $10,000 a month. Roughly three-fourths of that is spousal support and the rest is $2,935 per month in child support. This is less than half of her temporary support. They will share physical and legal custody of the children. They have also agreed not to move out of Orange County. The spousal support also has an end date that was not mentioned in agreement.
Shannon will be paid a one time lump sum of $1.4 million. She also gets two cars 2015 Cadillac Escalade, a 2018 BMW 7 Series sedan, her personal bank accounts and “her entertainment company.” Whatever that means. Is that what they are calling he microwave fish company?
David Beador gets the home in Corona, his construction business, a 1998 Ford Expedition, a 2008 Ford Explorer, a 2011 Land Rover Range Rover, a 2017 BMW XS, a 2018 Ford Raptor Truck, a 2018 Porsche Carrera Turbo and all household items in his possession. Why does he need six vehicles? This is literally why Earth is dying.
Their agreement to this final divorce settlement officially puts an end to their long drawn out court battles.
I was surprised at the $1.4 mil. I thought it would be much larger. They live a mighty high lifestyle if that is half of their assets.
Didn’t Shannon enter into the marriage with more assets (or at least, more access to more family money)? Besides, I interpret this as Shannon receiving a one-time $1.4 million cash payment in addition to the cars and the $10,000 per month (combined child and spousal) support payments.
You are correct. That is what it means. The 1.4 million is likely an equalization payment to balance out the division of assets. I’m surprised her family support payment dropped so much. Her entertainment company is likely her holding account because she most likely incorporated herself to receive payments for appearances and her Housewives payments.
The 1.4 million was indeed an equalization payment. And your supposition that the “entertainment company” is a loan out corp is probably also spot on.
Ideally, this means we won’t have to suffer any more of David Beador’s rage-fueled psychodrama. Unfortunately, he strikes me as a Jason Hoppy type who refuses to let go. I hope I’m wrong, and I only wish the best for Shannon.
He is the type, but cynically speaking here – Shannon isn’t the cash cow that Bethenny is. It is harder to gaslight and blame her for the marriage breakdown when HE is the one who stuck his dick in someone else AND she was willing to forgive him for that.
Plus, three teenage girls who saw all of it and could call him on his bullshit.
But then again, I suspect David did gaslight Shannon for well over a decade, and that explains why she was far too willing to put up with his abuse for far too long. Jason probably attempted the same with Bethenny, but he pushed Bethenny to her breaking point far sooner… And she realized she needed out of that mess far sooner.
Its good its over, and a lump sum is better. There’s probably alot of debt too, and to get released on that, would lower the settlement. People forget debts are shared too, not just assets. I know Im the minority opinion, but I didnt think David was a bad guy, not after I seen how Shannon spoke to and treated him. I really think she drove him into another womans arms, and only the kids were keeping him there. Im happy for both of them, that theyre out of that horrible marriage.
I was just thinking of how alike Jason Hoppy and David Beador are as I was clicking on this story. They were both incredibly skilled at looking like harried good guys married to shrews on camera, whilst also appearing to shun the limelight.
The proof was always there though, and I can’t believe I overlooked their bat shit crazy eyes. Did Jason always look like that? I know David perpetually looks like #RamonaOnTheRunway but I’ll admit, I was fooled. There is nothing that triggers me more than some gold ol’ fashioned gaslighting.
Thank you so much, TT, for the tea on this! If Shannon has a brain in her head, she’ll lock up that $1.4 million into something for her golden years instead of squandering it on her usual vitamins, weird chiropractic doctor, and making everything so super-sanitized in her home or whatever it is she does – that all has to cost a small fortune, I would guess at least. Just my humble opinion, but I think she’s pretty much a hypochondriac, but then again, if I had been married to that narcissist, maybe I would be too. He has appeared to be an outright bully and so cruel to her, not that she’s perfect by any means, but I do think she did just want to be a good wife and mom – but hey, I don’t know er personally or anything, so what do I know. And you are 100% correct- why does David need THAT many vehicles? I hope Cali is taxing the heck out of him! Thanks again for always being the #1 go-to spot online for all the hot tea that I know is factual and your writing style and talent is so much better than any other site I’ve seen on the world-wide web!
It will go straight up her ass in colonics.
Kinda “easy come, easy go” ?
Shannon owns the property that is housed by the offices of Beador Construction, will Shannon receive rent payments?
On the cars: At least if one person owns six cars, at least that means only one of them is being driven at any one time. If those six cars were owned by six different people, all six could be on the road at one time, which would be worse for traffic and worse for fuel consumption.
I was shocked at the $1.4 million amount too. That’s not much of a lump sum if they are dividing equally–and considering he is getting a large house and six (vs two) vehicles, it seems Shannon might have gotten even more than half of the cash. Shockingly little.
Getting the house means he also gets the mortgage. I doubt the house is paid for. He actually is only gaining the equity that’s in the house.
I’m glad this is over. I hope this ends her crazy outbursts. Yes, no, maybe? One can hope right!
Yes, I thought her family was more well-heeled than his. The numbers just don’t add up. The recent sale of their home was for around $9 mil. I get the home could have been mortgaged to the hilt, still. One of the cars David kept was likely for Sophie, she is driving age.
oops, I messed up. Meant to respond to adtleft. Sorry
I wonder if Shannon’s “bank accounts” represent family money. Otherwise $1.4M is nothing for someone living her lifestyle in CA. I forget what her income from Bravo is, but that won’t last forever. I wonder who is responsible for the girls’ school tuition?
£1.4 million? I wouldn’t turn my nose up at that but I feel that there must have been some creative accounting going on for that to be the settlement.
Man she does seem to have gotten the short end of the stick on this one. He’s probably sitting on the better part of a quarter million in vehicle value all told. She probably just wanted it over with quickly to settle like this. The construction company alone does revenue in excess of 20 million annually. The only thing I can think of here is that her company Real for Real Cuisine that pushes the pre-made meals on QVC is doing better than expected and they agreed to let him have the construction company if he let her keep her company? I suppose that has the potential to grow fairly large maybe?
Vehicles are not really assets. And his company is his company no matter whose Daddy helped to fund it. Shannon had no legal interest in the his company. They likely already split money from the sale of the home as that was a joint asset.
Shannon’s cream cheese filled fish is not likely flying off the shelves.
The 1.4 million will likely be closer to two or more. She probably got ten years of spousal support. That’s another million right there.
I see your point, and between the interest on the money she already has from things like the sale of the house, the 1.4 mil, sales from her cream cheese filled fish (yuck), and her show money it’s not like she can’t live a more than comfortable life. If I’m not mistaken that puts her in the top five percent for annual income.
Lox and bagel with cream cheese… classic.
I am so elated for her ! I always have liked Shannon !
So, what do you like about her?
I’m with Marc, I like Shannon. She may be neurotic and difficult at times, however, I like that she shows her real life and not made up story lines.
People got annoyed with Shannon when she showed the steps she was trying to save her marriage but I prefer that to Ramona or Luann who tried to fake that their marriages were perfect when they were anything but perfect.
I understand why she isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but would appreciate if other housewives followed her lead and let us a little further into their actual lives.
Shannon is sweet, open and very entertaining. She gave herself an enema on television, for goodness sake!
Really? I find her a difficult watch, a very very difficult watch.
Shannon grew up riding a horse to the local merchandise store, picking out whatever she wanted and billing to her father. David grew up eating soup straight from the can. Shannon introduced David to home elevators and $400k chandelier’s. Good riddance David!
Given that water is free, what are we to surmise about soup from the can? That he didn’t have a bowl? Or a pot to … er… heat soup in?
Where is water free? I pay a bill for water that is a little over $50 per month.
I’m in the UK, I pay just shy of £70 a month for water ?
I just think if people arent right for eachother, they should have the chance to move on. I wish them both the best. Thats why we have divorce, for those who dont get along or dont love oneanother anymore. I really dont think David is a cheater by nature, and he hung in there a pretty long time. Their relationship was dead, and most guys would have cheated or left Shannon way before he did. There was no passion, excitement or fun. I like Shannon, but I dont think she understands how to please a man. David is a very successful good looking, fit man, who looks great for his age. Shannon just tore into him constantly, and I knew she would be replaced eventually as the girls got older. He simply doesnt have to put up with that.
Shannon is a good looking woman and I didn’t really see David trying to please her very much either. If he didn’t want to ‘put up with it’, he should have filed for divorce and then started looking for a new partner. Not trying to have his cake and eat it too. She is not to blame for his poor choices.
David ate condensed soup from a can – so what? Growing up poor doesn’t automatically shape a person into a saint. It sure didn’t teach David empathy or loyalty.
Thanks TT for always giving us the tea. I hope Shannon and David can both be happy now.
I like Shannon and feel she got shafted. 1.4 million is nothing when you are a resident of California. Getting a couple of vehicles is nothing either. They depreciate daily. Plus she has the girls education to pay for which isn’t cheap. Yep, she got reemed in the coals.
David is a CREEP!!!!!!! She is lucky to be rid of him finally.
How can you build and sell a house worth $28 million and only have 3million marital assets between you. Either she has a trust, or there were premarital assets that did not have to be divided in court.
