That’s not a typo in the title. Camille Grammer won a court case against her ex-boyfriend Dimitri Charalambopoulos this week and received TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS for the damage to her reputation. This is what she was referring to recently on RHOBH when she talked about “global defamation.”
She and Dimitri have been going back and forth in court for nearly six years over who committed domestic violence on whom. I strongly encourage you to go read all the posts here.
Basically, a grand jury previously determined she did not have enough evidence for a criminal case against Dmitri several years ago. After the grand jury decision he brought civil action against Camille for defamation. She filed her own countersuit claiming abuse and defamation.
This week a jury found in her favor regarding her allegations of assault in a Houston hotel room in 2013. She was in Houston for cancer treatment.
They also determined that he defamed her when he gave an interview to a TV tabloid claiming she made the whole story up. Camille Grammer received $36,000 for her physical damages.
The $25 dollar award for defamation basically means that while he may have technically defamed her, she did not suffer any financial damages because of his statements. Someone in Charleston needs to pay attention to this ruling. #VexatiousLitigation I’m just saying. Being on a reality show pretty much demolishes any sort of positive reputation you may have had.
So Camille, how much did you pay out in lawyer fees to “win” $36,025 in a court judgement? Perhaps you should have had more witnesses there to testify to this abuse. Without witnesses, we don’t know for sure it happened. RIGHT CAMILLE?
