When the Southern Charm season trailer came out last week, you guys had a few questions. While most of the season’s storylines have been outlined for you before in my four-part series of posts laying out the entire season, there was one question that you all wanted to know. Who Did Shep Rose call “white trash?”
The first thing I though about when I saw that was that episode was that cruise where Thomas Ravenel was referring to people as OC or not OC. The OC was for “our class.” Because Thomas Ravenel thinks he is very classy.
Shep Rose seems to have that same sense of entitlement and of course the Bravo approved misogyny.
We’ve seen Shep be sexually inappropriate with females on the show. We’ve seen Shep’s rants against the women on the Isle of Palms City Council. And, we’ve seen him defend drug allegations toward Andy Cohen. Also, we’ve seen him be denied boarding on Delta because he was too drunk to fly.
Money Can’t Buy You Class, And Neither Can Your Daddy
So it comes as no surprise that he is calling someone white trash. The thing is, in the preview clip that you can see here, it appears that the “white trash” comment is a frankenbite. We hear some bad audio of “you fucking white trash” before we see the very brief clip of Shep Rose, Craig Conover, and Austen Kroll talking. No one seems particularly angry and we barely see Shep’s mouth move. It doesn’t seem likely that those words left Shep’s mouth at that particular time. It may have happened then or at some other time and been frankenbited in to the scene. That would explain the need for the giant subtitles. They really didn’t want us to miss it.
That said, according to Tamara Tattles Exclusive Sources, whenever he said it the person he was referring to was likely Madison LeCroy. As previously mentioned, Shep Rose is amping up is douchebaggery for the upcoming season. He is particularly coming for Austen Kroll. And here is why.
Here’s What You Need To Know About Madison LeCroy
Madison Lecroy is a high-end hairstylist and MUA. She was Patricia Altschul’s hairstylist prior to Southern Charm. She’s well established in Charleston. Naomie Olindo and Cameron Eubanks are also her longtime clients.
Thomas Ravenel used to hit up on Madison all the time. Thomas Ravenel set Austen up with those two girls that we know about from the infamous video. But, Thomas denied this. Austen believed Thomas until Madison pulled out receipts. She had texts between Thomas and the two girls he “met at a bar” one night when he was on Instagram asking people to come drink with him. Madison showed Austen the texts, and they eventually made up.
Shep Rose also tried to date Madison and she wasn’t interested. Shep is a bit jealous of Austen regarding the whole Madison situation. Also, Madison tried to make Austen a better person. She’s good for him. Shep sees her as a threat his boys time with his drinking buddy. Madison is incredibly confident and not afraid to challenge the good ole boys. Patricia calls her a “spitfire.” And for the record a top hairstylist and MUA can make quite a bit of money. She’s way too good for any of the guys on this show.
Everyone Will Turn On Shep This Season
Madison and Austen break up all the time for a plethora of random reasons. But this season, Shep goes all out in his attempts to break up that relationship. Because, really? Shep has no storyline other than being a prick to Craig or being an asshole to Austen. He has nothing going on. He has a bar but for some reason we never see it when it’s open.
Anyway, I’m still not personally convinced that Shep even says those words on the trailer. However, I do know that he was saying terrible things about Madison all season. This did not sit well with the girls at all. Even Patricia may have finally have had enough of Shep. You never come between a woman and her hairstylist. Whoever will she invite to her Gentleman’s dinners now?
