I have fallen terribly behind in my Teen Mom 2 recaps! I have three to plunge through and another episode is coming any day now. I’m going to try to do a down and dirty catch up with just the essential parts.
Jeremy Calver is back from an eight-month out-of-town job. Yet, he still is not showing up to be with his daughter, Instead, Leah’s new man is helping get three girls to the dentist. Corey Simms came to the dentist with the girls as well.
Later, Jeremy picks up Addie for the weekend. Leah asked him to take her every weekend when he is home. He seemed happy to do that and offered to take her during the week too. Jeremy recently ranted on social media about Teen Mom 2 making him look like a crappy dad. A lot of the dads on this show feel that way. I think they can be unfair at times to Jeremy and Corey in particular.
Leah talks about the girls grades with her new boyfriend Jason during a dinner date. I like that he seems involved with the girls. Leah doesn’t allow the girls to get any Cs. She wants to make sure the girls grow up valuing education because she didn’t. The report card comes and they got all As and Bs.
At the beginning of the second episode, Jenelle showed up with painful sinuses. Production sent her home to rest before her doctor’s appointment. Later that day, Jenelle had emergency surgery on her sinuses. There was a lot of speculation about whether is was really her sinuses that were the problem online. She reported that she was just fine.Especially since this was right after the 911 call.
After Jenelle’s, surgery. she is back to filming. Barbara is getting ready to go meet Andrew to see if he seems suitable for visitation with Jace. Andrew sent her a weird text late at night that just said, “Hi, mam!” So, Barbara expects the same old irresponsible Andrew when she gets there. Jenelle says Jace is starting to notice that Kaiser has a lot more family. This makes no sense. I think she is making this up. Jace has a dad and a grandma. She tells a long fabricated story about Jace.
Later, Jenelle has all four kids in the car and is taking them to film “something fun.” She is texting with both hands while driving them. She has no hand on the wheel AT ALL. I am having a panic attack just watching this. They all arrive safely at a trampoline park full of germy styrofoam.
Andrew hasn’t seen Jace since he was a baby and that was on Facetime. He does a scene with his friend and he seems to have the emotional maturity of 13-year-old.
Chelsea and Cole are getting their little family settled into their new home. The big news is that Adam Lind has relinquished her parental rights to Paisley. This gives Cole DeBoer better chance of being able to adopt her eventually. When Chelsea talked to Aubree about the situation off camera she was upset and confused. She wanted to know if Paisley was still her sister.
When Chelsea asked if she wanted to do the same, and have Cole adopt her, she asked if Adam would still be her dad. When she found out he would not, she said no. So the adoption issue is shelved for now.
You Are NOT The Father!
Aubree was supposed to have lunch with Adam at school but he didn’t show up. Later, Aubree visited with her other grandparents. Apparently, Adam’s mom said he probably overslept and that is why he missed lunch. The other news is he isn’t working. Which really isn’t news.
It’s Halloween and Chelsea and Aubree are planning to go to a Momster Mash. It’s a mother daughter event. Chelsea trying to do one on one things with her since the babies take up so much time. She is having trouble meeting the emotional needs of four other people in the house. She is nervous that she is leaving Cole with the kids. I think she has a sitter coming to help out. I love that Aubree is going as Jo Jo with the bow bow from Dance Moms. She’s an icon for the elementary school set! LOL. Both kids start screaming when she leaves. You can’t let them smell fear, Cole! I didn’t see anyone else there to help him. Everyone survived.
Kail Lowry is pissed that Jo Rivera is filing for child support from Kail. She wants $1,000 a month. So much for the good parenting. Kail has enacted a scorched earth policy when it comes to Jo now. Because, Kail. I feel like they could work this out if she wasn’t such a hot head. She’s makes a lot more than Jo so even with 50/50 custody, it makes since he should be getting a reasonable child support. Kail’s own attorney says Jo qualifies for $2,300 a month in child support. Yet, she is still a greedy bitch.
Jo’s wife needs to stay out of the entire child support situation. For some reason, she took it upon herself to text Kail about it. Obviously, Kail ignored her. But the new wife tells Kail she was against Jo filing for child support. She also tells her that he did it because he never took him off child support when she said she would. This pissed off Kail more than ever. Her friend tried to explain she has to communicate with Jo so they can co-parent. Kail says that is not going to happen.
I’m The Mom, Here!
Kail is furious with Javi that his new baby mama is listed as the other point of contact for Lincoln on the soccer team’s email chain. Javi says it’s because she travels on the weekends when he plays. For some reason I will never understand, Kail travel to NYC to do her podcast. Can’t you do a podcast from your kitchen table? Didn’t Stassi do hers from bars? I have no idea how they work. But I just assume since everyone and their mother does a podcast that you don’t need to go to a professional studio. Can someone explain this to me?
Then, Javi has to miss a soccer game over a town meeting about his gym. Kail wants to be petty about it. She tells her friend she won’t be switching days with him if he has an important event when she has Lincoln. Kail and her friend talk about how immature Javi is. Pot kettle.
After a long hospital stay, Stella is finally able to come home from the hospital. Briana is so glad for finally be back home with both girls, Stella’s dad, Luis, barely even acknowledged she was in the hospital.
Briana is taking Luis Hernandez to court for child support, even though he has no job. For some reason, this requires her to fly to NYC to have a face to face with him. That just so happens to be where future baby daddy number three lives. He picked her up from the airport.
Briana talked to baby daddy #2, Luis. There was no need to fly to NYC and leave your kids at home for this conversation. Luis says he will do better to be more involved with his child. Then she ran back to future baby daddy number three. The real reason she is there.
I’m The Dad Here!
Later, back in Florida, Briana films a scene with Devoin where they take the kids out for pizza. Devoin wins the race for most improved dad. I liked him when Nova was first-born. Briana’s mother was such a little bitch to him. I felt like he was trying here and there, and rather than encourage more of that behavior, she terrorized him over the times he screwed up. How much of these happy family scenes are all for the cameras? I doubt it was Briana’s idea to invite Devoin to Puerto Rico for “Nova’s birthday trip.”
Wait, Briana isn’t taking the youngest daughter to Puerto Rico? It’s just Briana, Devoin and Stella? That seems weird to me. Maybe it is best for the young one with the medical condition to stay home though? I don’t know. Oh. Nevermind. They are just taking Nova to get her tooth pulled. Devoin met them at the dentist. Briana is now willing to change Nova’s last name to match her father. How noble of her.
It’s really hard to find time to recap this show. But I’ll do catch ups when I can! Thanks for reading!
