Real Housewives Of Atlanta: Welcome To The Dungeon

March 10, 2019 by tamaratattles 28 Comments

After last week’s dramatic RHOA episode, I am expecting this to be the hangover episode. Literally for some of the RHOA, and metaphorically for the rest of us. In other words, I don’t expect much. To be honest, y’all weren’t all that excited last week and Nene Leakes literally attacked a cameraman and lost her mind. I feel like most of you are checked-out and there is no getting any of you back.

I did post a BIG EXCLUSIVE just before I started this post about the RHOA Reunion and what that might mean for next season that might give you hope for next season. Let’s see what happens next on RHOA!

Let’s Talk About Nene’s Party!

We start right up with all sorts of flashbacks of Nene Leakes losing mind at her own party. It seems like production went back in through this whole season and made sure to drop in shady production flashbacks of Nene Leakes horrible behavior in every episode. This bodes well for us. If you read today’s RHOA Reunion tea, you know what I am talking about. So, as Kandi Burrus, Porsha Williams and Marlo Hampton walk in to their scene outside Hudson Grille, we are reminded just how bad it was last week.

EXCLUSIVE TEA ON RHOA REUNION!

I have a confession. I am liking pregnant Porsha Williams this season. She’s actually growing on me when she is not dragging people across the stage by their hair. And she is really pretty pregnant.  Sorry, I feel like a traitor saying that.

Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams Thoughts on Closet Gate

It’s two days later and the ladies have a lot to say about it. Marlo Hampton says it took her two days to recover from it. Kandi and Porsha thought everyone was having a good time and kidding around. They didn’t think Nene Leakes really cared if they went in the closet. Kandi Burruss says that the cameraman going in there is what set Nene off. Porsha says she hasn’t ever felt that much anxiety run through her body. Normally, she can defend herself but she’s pregnant and it scared her.

So Kandi and Porsha went downstairs to get away from Nene. Nene came after them pushing people on the stairs out of the way and yelling at them to move so she could get to them. Apparently, Nene was trying to fight Porsha and Kandi off camera and Kandi was getting in between Nene and Porsha. Marlo says she doesn’t remember any of that.

Porsha Is Not The One To Preach About Accountability!

After Marlo’s comment, Porsha says what she doesn’t remember is Nene taking any accountability for what she did. Porsha, gurl, I said I was starting to like you a little bit. But you are not the one to suggest someone else take accountability for their violent temper. You never have taken accountability for your attacks on Kenya Moore, or your attack on Cynthia Bailey, or your attack on that makeup girl that hangs around your man. And that is just the top three. Girl, have a seat.

What’s this tea about Porsha taking her belt off. Was she gonna whip Nene Leakes with it? See now, she doesn’t want to talk about that. Porsha is mad that Kandi sent Nene a text and apologized for contributing to her pain. Porsha is not there yet. We get more input from production reminding us of Nene’s high and mighty attitude about Porsha’s violent behavior. Porsha got demoted and sent to anger management over her behavior. It would not surprise me if Nene was gone next season.  Marlo says Nene doesn’t feel like she was wrong. Marlo is riding for Nene this entire conversation.

Eva Marcille and Tanya Sam’s Thoughts on Closet Gate

Over at Eva Marcille’s place, she is busy cleaning up around her house, something I was supposed to be doing today and didn’t quite get to. Yet. This is hopefully my last post for the day. I still have time, right?

Shamari Devoe drops by to discuss everything that happened as Casa Leakes. But before they can talk about Nene Leakes, Shamari has her own bad behavior to deal with. She apologizes to Eva for throwing up on her dress and her shoes. I hope she is hiding some new shoes for her someone in those black workout clothes! Tanya Sam arrives and she is still in her natural hair. Tanya tells Shamari that they are soul sisters now because she cleaned up her puke. After fast forwarding I land on the girls telling Shamari she was sexually assaulting all of them.

Then it is on to Nene Leakes violent behavior. They think Nene gave the ladies enough fair warning to where they should not have gone in the closet. Eva says, “You can’t poke a bear and not expect it to strike back!” Eva says that Marlo sticks with Nene no matter what.

Cynthia Bailey and Eva Marcille Go For A Colonic

I’ll pass on this. If we can’t find anything else to do with Cynthia Bailey, I’m ready to let her go.

Later, we see Eva Marcille trying on all of her wedding dresses. Her dresses are very beautiful. Even her mama had no complaints.

Ronnie Devoe Talks With Shamari About Her Drinking

Ronnie is about to leave Atlanta again to tour with his band. But not before he talks with Shamari about getting all sexual with the girls at Nene Leakes party. He says too many drinks lead to her doing things that are inappropriate with the ladies. And that can lead to separation.

Shamari promised to be good. I am way behind with this recap. But, I need y’all to look up there at Shamari’s new talking head look. She looks amazing! She looks like a RHOA! Why doesn’t she do that look more often? Shamari has been a disappointment to RHOA fans and the Bravo suits this season. I hope she gets to stay!

Kandi’s Dungeon Party

I’m not going to have much to say about this for many reasons. But it looks like a really fun time. And am going to glue my eyes to the TV for most of it!

Kandi does the first performance. Then she and Shamari have a duet. Except Shamari has lost her voice so she is going to lipsync. This probably will not end well for Shamari. Actually, she did great!

Cynthia Bailey in her dungeon attireNext is Cynthia’s unscripted scene with Cynthia. Kandi starts right off kneeling in front of her and asking her how wet she is. Marlo of all people is clutching her pearls. Oh, please Marlo. Then backstage Marlo claims that Kandi wouldn’t let Marlo be in the show because she was “too extra.” Oh, that is her issue. She wasn’t invited to play. Poor, Marlo missed all the fun. She sure did have a latex catsuit to wear from her other job’s wardrobe though.

Backstage

Kandi has a ton of costume changes. I imagine those all came from her special closet at home. Tanya Sam is loving the dungeon party. She playfully pushed Marlo on the ground and lived to tell about it. No wonder the Bravo suits love her so much! Marlo does tell Tanya and Shamari they both need to go to AA. She tells Shamari she really does have a drinking problem. Marlo wonders what her real problem is. Cynthia Bailey says that being around Marlo makes everyone want to drink. Wow. That is a lot from Cynthia.

Next week:

It’s time for the wedding. Is that the finale or will there be two episodes?  Nene Leakes comes back from Miami for the wedding. She took off to Miami right after the party while Gregg was in the hospital. Then at the wedding she says that Gregg was talking about a separation. We all know this is her idea. But Gregg will lie for her and say it was his.

I really enjoyed this Neneless episode tonight. This episode was good and didn’t have any of her negative energy that she brings. Kandi is a mainstay on this show and no matter how boring she may see to some, she always delivers with a good storyline and production. I really have grown to love Shamari and hope she gets a second season, she’s a great fit and I think next season that she’ll blossom into the perfect housewife. Tanya, Eva, Porsha and Cynthia also delivered tonight. Great episode ladies ❤️

Marlo is “too extra.” Cynthia is boring as hell. She should’ve already been gone. Nene’s narcissist ass needs to go!

I’m interested to know more about the belt. On WWHL, Andy says it comes up at the reunion. Shamari could have gotten Eva a replacement dress and shoes. I saw that dress on Amazon for $25, you know, where Eva gets all her high fashion items from designers. Loved Kandi’s show. I’d buy a ticket if she took it on the road.

I also thought Shamari should have replaced her clothes or at least offer to get the items dry cleaned.

I’m sure Porsha’s so called anger management flew out the window when Nene was trying to dive for her that’s why her belt came off. The best way to swing without actually swinging and keep Nene a distance from her and her baby.

Lol TT don’t feel like a traitor, I actually enjoy Porsha too while she’s carrying PJ, let’s just hope it lasts.

RHOA really needs to end or do away with Nene, Marlo, Shamari and Eva. We need a fresh batch of ATL ladies that are younger, recently wed, etc. and see how they interact with established ladies like Cynthia, Kandi, Kenya and Porsha.

I’m looking forward to reunion. Bravo is sending a very clear message that in with the new and out with the old, Porsha is reigning Queen, can’t deny it.

I was also thinking that maybe NeNe yanked the belt off of Porsha especially when Porsha stated that if she tells what happen that would be the end of their friendship.

I agree. From what it looked like, Porsha’s belt was actually a part of her dress. It didn’t really look like something she could take off. I think Nene ripped it.

Also agree w other posters, it was so nice NOT seeing Nene!

    Damn I wish I had Kandi’s body! 🤩

I don’t think I commented on last week – I had such a delay in watching! – but I’m still down with the RHOA.

I feel like there are multiple issues, and well more than 2 sides. Overall, totally on the side of the trio that met at Eva’s house. Loved how they busted Shamari’s chops about her puking/drinking without lecturing or humiliating her.

As for last week – I’m partially Team Nene. I would be upset if friends went into my closet when I asked them not to… I would be FUCKING LIVID if a camera followed them. Kandi can say “i thought it was friendly banter” all she wants – it was absolutely clear Nene really did not want her to go in from the fucking get go. Nene had just had probably the most honest, real, show of deep emotions – which included grief. I’m guessing she was emotionally and physically exhausted. I saw her grabbing the camera man as a desperate act. Where she went wrong in a way I CAN’T support? Is continuing on after she had stopped the camera guy from going into the closet. I believe she chased Kandi and Porsha. I thought I heard an audio of Porsha saying she was scared. That bothered me.

Oh, and Kandi is working the “I’m kinky” angle WAY too hard. Its tired and I’m tired of it.

I agree. The whole dungeon party thing was tacky AF IMO. I’m not pearl clutching, I just think it’s played out and boring. Kandi asking Cynthia about her wetness in that purry bedroom voice made me want to hurl.

HOWEVER, forget candy coated, everything Kandi touches turns to gold. Kandi knows what sells and taking this show on the road, I imagine with local guest appearances in the Cynthia/Shamari roles will guarantee those Kandi coins keep rolling in. I can’t fault Kandi for her ability to capitalize on the zeitgeist.

I’m not impressed with Shamari so far, but TT tells me the Bravo suits don’t care what i do or don’t like, being that I’m a woman of a certain age!

I thought Porsha’s refusal to speak about the belt incident may have been because the camera guy was suing Nene maybe? And if Nene is paid by the episode, I’m applauding production for ensuring her absence in this one. Apart from the brilliant footage of Nene’s past behavior. Nene does seem to be in a state of narcissistic collapse and continues to double down on her ridiculous behavior. It’s sad, because the genuinely wounded Nene we saw last episode for maybe the first time ever read as authentic to me. That’s relatable. She could have redeemed herself. But, Nene.

I just meant turning what Porsha said about her having a sex dungeon into making money. I won’t be going to any sex shows myself. Now when I was younger…maybe.

I understand NeNe being pissed about the closet. What I don’t understand is why she didn’t stand up to cast her towering “dark glamour” to show them she was serious.

Eva needs a reality (NPI) check. The purpose of a reunion dress (don’t we all NEED one) is to make it easier to socialize with your guests at the reunion. Some wedding dresses have a removable train. Usually the dress has some visual resonance with the “main” wedding dress, but is not just another wedding dress. Between the giant skirt and the strapless bodice (that she kept tugging on), it defeats the purpose. The laces looked like they came from Shaq’s basketball shoes.

Nene is used to being the center of attention. So either consciously or not she is jealous of Greg deservedly getting the lions share. I’m glad her cast mates called out her stank attitude during Reunion.

I really like Tanya, she is genuinely nice and the real deal all the way around. Hope she gets to stay and lands a peach next season.

Nene now has a new gig she is filming for cable. Are we surprised her “I am a star” ego has resurfaced? It’s Nene’s world and everyone else are props in the story of her life, including Greg. Her attitude will only get worse, in my opinion. We all witnessed this behavior before. Once again, she will be L.A. bound and off to La La Land she will go waiting Hollywood to unveil her star.

Now, I am not a fan of Marlo, but she was actually likeable last night on WWHL. She articulately explained her businesses. Her response about a relationship with Kenya was not shady, at least I didn’t think it was. She compliment Brooklyn on being so cute. It appears she was not taking the “bash Kenya” bait fans tend to throw out, whenever one RHOA cast appears in interview. I think she has moved on.

Didn’t even notice the Lenithia-saurus Rex was missing until it was pointed out in this recap. First it was Vicki with the cancer scam and now Nene with the “You’ve got cancer? I’m going to go HAM!” What next? LVP opening a sexy unique hospice? 🙄

TT please tell me you’ll be doing a follow up. Nene has been losing her scalp (we know she has no hair) online after the reunion. After all your blinds, her “enemies” don’t even have to do anything. That lady is troubled and to have ther nerve of calling Kandi and Cynthia weak for befriending Kenya yet she is all over the place with the pig in lipstick (Phaedra).

Love you TT. I hope your week had been great. P.S. any follow up on Jussie? Say hi to Banjo.

Nene is digging her own grave and I am here for it. I haven’t had time to speak to every meltdown individually because she’s digging non-stop. I have a feeling she’s done. She was probably done when she felt she could put her hands on production.

As for Jussie. the lastest is cameras will probably be in the courtroom unless the new judge for the actual trial nixes it. And he put in a plea of NOT GUILTY.

Next court date in mid April 17th maybe? Don’t quote me on the date. I’ll be paying attention.
