I am going to try to bang out two episodes of Teen Mom 2 today. The first one is one I have been dying to see. It was filmed during hurricane Florence. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to see what went happened on THE LAND which is the most important part and why I wish they would just film David. Also it would provide some protection for Jenelle during the time the cameras are there. I feel like Jenelle never had a fair shot at life after her father took off. It seems to have messed her up and led to her poor choices in men. Let’s see what this episode does show.
I am so annoyed that Lean is having to hire an attorney to insure her kid gets the services required under law. That said, I am glad she has an advocate for Adi to attend IEP meetings. I’ve been to many IEP meetings. I have never seen an advocate in a meeting that I recall. The meetings were pretty perfunctory and simply held to sign forms saying we met for legal purposes.
What does Leah’s new boyfriend do? He is in hospital scrubs for this scene. Adi has another serious appointment in Columbus. She did well at the appointment and did a bit better on her agility and strength testing. He new boyfriend may be a bit older but he seems to be stable, employed, kind to the girls and not on drugs. I kind of approve.
Did she get cows? If so that is so cool! It almost makes me want to get on Farmers dot com. Almost. Meanwhile, Chelsea is not sure if her water broke or if she sat in a wet chair. She’s been through this a few times before. Shouldn’t she know? Later Chelsea thinks she is going into early labor and Cole takes her to the hospital. They told her she was fine and the baby was just getting into position and starting to drop. So it is soon, but not today.
They couldn’t have possible said that Aubree is going to middle school this year, could they? I love that Chelsea makes sure she gets at least ten hours sleep a night, You would be surprised how many first and second graders would tell me about shows that were inappropriate that came on at nine or ten the night before when they had to be at school by 7:30 am.
Jenelle is using her cellphone out in the yard to show up the arrival of Hurricane Florence. Hopefully they use some of her cellphone footage from inside the house. Actually, they just showed a few tiny clips and then the aftermath of the town and moved on to days after the hurricane. Jenelle goes to meet with Barbara. Jenelle says the lost power for four or five days. Actually they had a generator though so they still had power. She said the roof leaked and water was running down the walls and wet her floors. I don’t remember her mentioning that part at the time. Why couldn’t they take showers? Was the water shut off? Jenelle talks about Nathan’s mom asking for Kaiser to come stay with her. Jennelle says they were prepared because they were Doomsday prepping “when the whole Kim Jong Un thing was happening so they are prepared.” They prepared with bullets and probably a couple of boxes of MREs. Meanwhile they are living in a shack that can’t even withstand strong wind and rains. I predict David will buy one of those big containment boxes and build a fallout shelter on the property next. I would not mind one of those as I have some prepping for low grade catastrophes myself.
The next day we get a picture perfect scene of Jenelle and Barb and the kids at a pumpkin patch. After the outing they went to lunch where the producer told Jenelle that David texted her while they were at the pumpkin patch furious that they were robbing him of his family experience with Ensley. He threatened to come and ruin the shoot. Jenelle tries to defend David’s behavior while laughing. Barbara knows this is bad but she is trying to keep her lifeline with Jenelle and says nothing. Sometimes when David’s scary behavior is called out, Jenelle looks just like Jace and seems like a frightened child.
The first episode of this recap ends with Jenelle’s 911 call after David assaulted her and threw her to the ground injuring her shoulder.
At the beginning of the next episode, the 911 call had been posted all over the Internet. After that happened, Jenelle refused to film. Barbara tells production that she is not going to confront Jenelle about the situation because she wants to keep the relationship she has with Jenelle and hopes that she might open up to her if something happens in the future. Barbara says the she was in a relationship where she got the living hell beaten out of her. She knows what she is going through and she knows it has to be Jenelle’s choice to leave. I presume this was Jenelle’s father and she witnessed the behavior. This would explain why she is in an abusive relationship herself and why she feels comfortable abusing Barb at times. When Barb finally talks to her she says that David was off with the guys not answering his phone and everyone was drunk so when he got back home she ran outside cussing at him and she tripped over a hole and he tried to catch her and he fell too and landed on top of her. It was all just a big drunk misunderstanding. Her story doesn’t make any sense, because she is lying. It’s sad.
Next we film Nathan and his girlfriend on the beach. He says that when he went to drop off Kaiser, he asked Jenelle about the 911 call she told him it was none of his business. He asked where Kaiser was when it happened he said that was none of his business. Of course, Nathan is worried.
Kailyn is one of the many people who wear Maci and Taylor’s t-shirt line on the show. As we found out today, wearing t-shirts on a show like this can generate a lot of business. Tom Green silently supported a friend with cancer who has a t-shirt business on this season of Celebrity Big Brother.
Apparently, Chris and Kail are sort of a thing. You know Chris, he is baby daddy number three who doesn’t want to pay child support and cheated on her. At least she admits she is addicted to the chaos. Kail’s dad came to Lux’s party and wisely did not wish to be on camera so it wasn’t filmed. Kail is sad that her kids do not know her family. She is going to reconnect with her mom. That is not usually a good idea considering her family has addiction issues. Kail doesn’t really know where her mother is. Her mother used to leave her alone.
Kail has a podcast with Tyler and Caitlyn to discuss growing up with addicts for parents. She wants some insight from Tyler how to have a relationship with her mom without being angry. I don’t think Tyler has the answer to that, because he has a lot of pent-up anger that is bound to come out eventually. Why does she have to go to NYC to do a podcast? After the podcast Kail finds out her mom is two hours away in Maryland. It pissed her off her mom was so close and not reaching out. Kailyn decides to work on her relationship with her half-sister from another mother. She doesn’t talk to her dad anymore either. She’s only met him once. She is going to Dallas where her sister lives so she is planning to meet her for dinner. Her sister is pregnant and they bond over that.
This coven of witches is annoying. Nova is starting to bond with her father. He is working and has his own apartment now. Her teacher is awful. Nova cries when her family leaves. The whole family didn’t need to make a huge production out of this.
I can’t believe I used to defend adding Briana to this show. She adds nothing of interest and I find myself strongly disliking her and her entire family. Briana has a new boyfriend in New York and she is going there alone to film with him. Her mother will take care of both of her small children so she can go have more unprotected sex. His name is John and I don’t see anything about him that impresses me. They go on a double date to Coney Island.
This show is literally 90% about Jenelle and David so they need to just pay David and film with him. I hate to agree with him but they should not exclude him for outings with his wife and child. Plus hiding his racist, sexist, violent behavior doesn’t make it go away. Why not just show it?
