Am I the only one that feels like this season of RHOA should be coming to a merciful end soon? The first half of the season was so very boring that half of us didn’t even bother to tune in until the Tokyo trip. Plus, the regular schedule has the international trip toward the end, but this season it came earlier because Eva’s wedding is supposed to be the finale. So we have a long way to go with this season. It’s like a road trip on I-10 through Texas. You keep going and going and going and you are still just getting started. The scenery never changes and it is a long haul until you can find a stop to buy a cold bottle of Lipton’s to quench your thirst, and then the journey continues.
It does seem a few glimmers of hope exist. Cynthia’s relationship deepens. The filming season has been over for three months and Cynthia has either gotten Mike Hill to commit for another season, or this could be a real relationship. Much like Kenya Moore though, Cynthia’s man has strong ties in a faraway state and she needs to ride RHOA until the wheels fall off because her eyewear and luggage isn’t going to keep her to the style to which she has become accustomed. I honestly haven’t heard much or seen Cynthia pushing her products since 2017. Does she even still have those businesses? And she wants to keep Lake Bailey as a vacation house if she moves to LA. So this relationship is not quite as solid as she might have us think.
Shamari seems like she may have a drinking problem. Or a husband problem. Or a fidelity problem when it comes to Shamari and other women. It looks like Kandi is going to take good care of Shamari though.
Eva’s wedding seems fraught with so many fights (probably with Nene who we will get to in a minute) that it is hard to say if she is crying tears of joy or something is wrong when she finally makes it down the aisle. Fortunately, it all works out in the end and we know everyone is there.
Kandi Burruss just keeps on keeping on with her many business ventures, two new OLG restaurants, another big performance and her sold out dungeon party where we see some girl on girl action finally happens between Kandi and Cynthia. We learned in the trailer that Todd was skeptical about the IVF and surrogacy processes. In the end though, he got on board and there may already be a surrogate carrying their baby.
Tanya doesn’t have a huge presence on the trailer. I love how they hired a wealthy woman who works hard in the community for the good of others. Tanya began her career as a nurse before relocating to Atlanta where she runs a business that helps match upcoming entrepreneurs with start up funds. She is also very involved in charity work. Basically, she is the type of cast member this show was supposed to be about before they cast a bunch of hoodums with shady pasts (hello Kim Z and Nene Leakes and Sheree Whitfield). Tanya is too good for this show.
Porsha’s pregnancy and upcoming engagement amid the little of Dennis’s cast off (are they really cast off?) former THOTs continues to be her storyline.
Which brings us to Nene Leakes who we see causing a huge commotion because she can’t handle being Gregg’s caretaker. She actually says she wants a divorce. She screams at everyone. She attacks and threatens a cameraman. She has a nervous breakdown. The thing is long after filming ended, Nene was still on Twitter talking shit about Gregg and how he was abusive and awful and she could not take it anymore. Since then, she has been to LA several times, most recently for Andy’s baby shower, back and forth to Miami, recently she was at the superbowl, oddly as some sort of cancer spokesperson. We saw her threatening to block Greggs calls when she was in Tokyo.
I feel like she has already left Gregg. What do you think?
