Meanwhile, Imani is working on breaking the cycles from her complicated childhood and considers reconnecting with her biological father for the first time in decades. Introduced to the group by Shanique, Jasmine and Imani go head to head when Imani assumes her husband’s wealth may come from dubious activities. Having found out that her father has overcome a drug habit, Imani feels the timing is right for the two of them to rebuild a relationship and pursues meeting up with him for the first time in decades. When issues are spinning out of control in Imani’s personal life, she enjoys the control and rewards she gets from her high-pressure career. At this point in her life, Asha’s number one priority is having a baby but as her marriage to Larry is still fairly new, she has to get him on board first. Being a doctor who owns and operates her own practice, Noelle struggles to balance her family and work life.
