Are you ready for a new Married To Medicine Franchise?
Married to Medicine Los Angeles gives viewers a look into the elite and fast paced lives of five successful and dynamic female doctors and doctors’ wives, Dr. Imani Walker, Asha Kamali-Blankinship, Dr. Noelle Reid, Shanique Drummond, Dr. Britten Cole and friend Jazmin Johnson. With an incredibly small and exclusive African American medical community to lean on, these women share a special bond. However, when circles are this tight, it’s only a matter of time before paths and personalities collide. This season, Asha is ready to start a family but when she tries to get her husband on the baby train, he’s hesitant to board. When Shanique learns a surprising fact about Asha and her husband, mistrust begins to build between the two ladies and eventually spirals out of the control, leading to fractures within the group.
Being a mother and doctor who owns and operates her own practice, Noelle struggles to balance her family and work life. Meanwhile, Imani is working on breaking the cycles from her complicated childhood and considers reconnecting with her biological father for the first time in decades. Introduced to the group by Shanique, Jasmine and Imani go head to head when Imani assumes her husband’s wealth may come from dubious activities. Ready to take her career to the next level, Britten has made the decision to move from Orlando to Los Angeles. Before her husband commits to the move and uprooting their children he wants to make sure that this isn’t just another one of Britten’s impulsive whims. From juggling bustling careers and family life, to shifting rivalries and evolving friendships, one thing remains constant…they are all married to medicine.
Dr. Imani Walker
With a statuesque six-foot-two frame, shaved head and steely glare, Dr. Imani Walker is a striking and outspoken psychiatrist who serves as Medical Director of Gateways Hospital & Mental Health Center in LA. Dr. Imani deals with patients who suffer from mental issues, homelessness, schizophrenia and chronic depression. After long and arduous work days, Imani wants nothing more than to enjoy a quiet night at home with her husband, Phil Johnson, from the 90’s R&B group “Portrait” and son, Idris. This year, Imani is working on breaking the cycles from her complicated childhood. Having found out that her father has overcome a drug habit, Imani feels the timing is right for the two of them to rebuild a relationship and pursues meeting up with him for the first time in decades. When issues are spinning out of control in Imani’s personal life, she enjoys the control and rewards she gets from her high-pressure career. Imani is normally stoic and controlled, but when something happens that strikes a nerve, she is quick to snap back.
Asha Kamali-Blankinship
Asha Kamali-Blankinship is an actress married to Dr. Larry Blankinship, a Physiatrist (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician) who specializes in patients with pinched nerves in their neck or back. While she is a doctor’s wife, Asha prides herself on being a multi-hyphenate actress, producer and writer and believes in creating opportunities for yourself. Along with a fellow group of driven African American ladies, Asha created the web series Milk & Honey, a show that poses the question, “Is there an expiration date on your dreams?” which often mirrors Asha’s own fears. At this point in her life, Asha’s number one priority is having a baby but as her marriage to Larry is still fairly new, she has to get him on board first. Sensitive to negative comments about her relationship, Asha goes head-to-head with Shanique when she implies that there could have been infidelity in the early stages of Asha and Larry’s life together.
Dr. Noelle Reid
Dr. Noelle owns Trinity Health and Wellness Center in Beverly Glen and firmly believes in an East meets West approach to medicine. Her duties as a family doctor encompasses everything from giving pap smears and prostate exams to physicals and treating STD’s.In addition to her traditional medical practice, she also has a studio where she teaches yoga and meditation multiple times a week. Noelle is all about surviving and thriving, going through residency as a single mom and opening her own medical practice less than a year later. At that time, she felt like her daughter Gabby was her co-pilot and she wondered if she would ever find that special someone, but that all changed five and a half years ago when she met her husband Erin Vines and finally completed the family picture. Being a doctor who owns and operates her own practice, Noelle struggles to balance her family and work life. With the milestone age of 40 on the horizon, this year she is all about reconnecting to herself and being grateful for the things she’s accomplished.
Shanique Drummond
A charming Jamaican goddess, Shanique Drummond is a real estate property manager married to Dr. Robert Drummond, an Urgent Care Physician in Los Angeles. From a traditional Jamaican family, her passion in life is being a supportive wife and devoted mother to her two children. Shanique does it all from taking care of her kids, to juggling her own full-time job, to coming home and making dinner still in her stilettos and with full glam. This season, when Shanique learns a surprising fact about Asha and her husband, mistrust begins to build between the two ladies and eventually spirals out of the control, leading to fractures within the group.
Dr. Britten Cole
A hard-nosed anesthesiologist, Dr. Britten Cole is one of the highest paid professionals in her field. Currently working as a temp, Britten is working on finding a full time position within a hospital or medical facility in Los Angeles. Before she was a doctor, Britten was in the Navy with Dr. Contessa Metcalfe who remains one of her closest friends to this day. Britten is based in Orlando, FL and is happily married to her husband, Mack Major and they have two children, Ivy and Mack Jr. With her family in LA for summer, Britten has made the decision to move to Los Angeles full-time to take her career to the next level. Before her husband commits to the move and uprooting their children he wants to make sure that this isn’t just another one of Britten’s impulsive whims. Britten’s military background taught her to be strong and handle her emotions well in front of others but the mask drops when she struggles to be apart from her family in LA.

A Special Episode of “Married to Medicine Atlanta” Will Air Sunday, March 3 at 9pm ET/PT
It looks good!! I am excited.
I will be watching!
I will tune in to see how their personalities mesh, but I am out if one of them reveals themselves to be a loud mouthed, bull horn decibel hollerer like Simone. She ruined M2M for me. I just could not find the patience to listen to Simone anymore, especially when she was three sheets to the wind. I have a big mouthed, overly opinionated women in my family circle that grates on my nerves. I do not need to watch another one on t.v.
Interesting…..:-)
Do you know something, Lawst????
Sounds like tea!?
Because she is Cone-tessa’s best friend, I’ve already decided I won’t like Britten. I Abhor Conetessa’s judgemental, snooty, arrogant and superior ways. So hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised by this Britten girl – I just hope she doesn’t have her best friend visit while the rest of us are getting a rest from her.
I’m excited! Anyone remember how awful “Married to Medicine: Houston” was though???
Married To Medicine Houston was awful. Just awful. I still wonder how that show even made it to air. I think that’s why I’m apprehensive about Los Angeles.
Bravo really needs to focus on Atlanta and keep them on a consistent night and time. It’s literally the best show on the network and they get neglected like redheaded stepchildren.
