In talking with sources, I often get little snippets of information that don’t really lend themselves to a full post. So I thought I’d share them with you here. It’s not much but I thought some of you might be interested.
Real Housewives of Dallas has been renewed. There was apparently some discussion about this but ultimately they ended up going forward with season four. I’m told the season could have as many as eighteen episodes. Filming begins on January 28th and is set to film through April to allow for LeeAnne’s wedding to be the season finale. I feel like the rest of the cast should be thanking LeeAnne for giving Bravo a reason to do another season. These girls need to pick it up if they want a season five.
Real Housewives of Orange County has not sent out pick up letters yet. It’s been over a month since the reunion aired; however, the break occurred during the holiday season so I suppose it is not that unexpected. Orange County is the third most popular of the housewife franchises after Atlanta and RHOBH respectively. However, Below Deck is the third most popular show overall. I was told months ago that Bravo suits wanted to add more another younger housewife; however, I’m told that there are not a lot of possible choices for young housewives in the area and that they are happy with the shows performance. I hope this means that everyone will be asked back. But you never know, someone new could pop up. No final decisions have been made yet. Filming starts in mid February so I should know more soon. My source that promises RHOA is going to get better this season says RHOC is going to get worse. My source is a bit biased about Bravo shows and we disagree on lots of things so I am not sure I believe it.
Real Housewives of Atlanta finished up their final interviews this week. All episodes should be officially completed or in the final stages of post production soon. As I said in this post today, there is absolutely no discussion happening with Truly Original or Bravo about casting decisions for season twelve. Anything you are hearing elsewhere is pure speculation. My source says that the Tokyo trip is going to be great. I’m not holding my breath.
Summer House is getting the Don’t Be Tardy treatment. DBT finished filming in May of 2017. The season is ready to go and everyone has been paid but it is sitting on the shelf with no air date as of yet. It will get one eventually but Bravo is going through some things. Remember how Friday night was “the new Bravo Home night” with the three home makeover type shows for about five minutes? Then they suddenly tried moving them everywhere and even if you wanted to watch, you had no idea when to tune in. Now they are back to showing movies on Friday nights. Married to Medicine fans were furious that the shows air day and time kept moving around like crazy. My understanding is that Bravo wants to be a seven night a week station. In other words they want (or perhaps WANTED) to have new shows on Friday and Saturday to fill out the week. Apparently, they are having trouble figuring out how to do that. Don’t Be Tardy is returning next month and it’s still unclear what the exact date is and what night they will be on. Summer House will be back whenever Bravo suits can get their shit together and work out a schedule.
