Happy M2M Sunday y’all!! Aww this hurts my heart as this is actually the final episode of our favorite Atlanta physicians (and spouses) of the season. I’m hoping they come back next season and that Bravo gives them the time slot and continuity they deserve. We pick up with the big sit down between Quad and Dr. G. They hadn’t spoken in a long time so it’s emotional for them to see each other. Quad is livid that Dr. G had done a radio interview that she felt was aimed to be hurtful to her-he said that they hadn’t had sex since 2014 and had lived in separate bedrooms for 4 years! Wow. Quad said that he couldn’t get an erection with her but he denies cheating on her. Dr. G said that he had taken her on vacations and bought her a home and it wasn’t enough. He said he loves her, always has and he didn’t feel it was reciprocated. Quad says that he’s rude, nasty and physically abusive. She said he suffocated her and “ruined” her knee. Greg said they both got physical and he says she pulled a knife on her. There’s a lot of back and forth but they both agree it’s a toxic relationship and it needs to be over.
Andrew asks what they both need to move forward: Greg says that he loves her and is sorry for the past and wants to let it go. Quad wants him to be happy, win big and grow. He wishes the same for her and she wants to say that she still has love for him but can’t get the words out. Andy says it’s natural that she has love for him as they were married and have a long history. She asks Greg how he’s doing and he said ok, she said she’s the same. They have an awkward hug at the end but it’s a better ending to that segment than I anticipated.
Quad goes backstage and gets a huge hug from Jackie. Heavenly is there and very supportive as well. Greg goes back with the guys and they rally around him. Eugene thinks that Greg and Quad could possibly be friends when it’s all said and done. Scott sums it by saying it seems that they both have love for each other but sometimes love just isn’t enough. Quad cries to the girls that she does still love Greg. I know there’s a lot of commenters who don’t like Quad, but I think even the most anti-Quad person would agree that it’s sad to see the end of marriage. All the couples go back to the set and Jackie says she’s happy Quad and Greg may reach a place where they may be friends. Contessa says that she had no idea that Greg was abusive so she wouldn’t have supported them getting back together.
Toya and Mariah try to defend Greg by saying Greg never said he “hit” her but everyone else is pretty much in agreement that he admitted to some sort of physical abuse. Quad rejoins the group and says that she feels relieved that she admitted the physical violence and apologizes for making the other women feel shut out by her. Simone says that she and Cecil love Quad and will be there for whatever she needs. Jackie feels that there’s a damper over the group to see a marriage dissolve. Quad is optimistic about her future and feels she will have a happy and joyful life going forward.
Our next segment begins with Eugene presenting Andy with the “horny honey” he brought for the men in Antigua. Mariah warns Andy that it may last a long time and Andy may not be able to control how long it lasts if you know what I mean, which I hope you do because I don’t want to go into detail. Thank you. A viewer asks Jackie if she’s still mistrustful of Curtis and they both say they are in a much better place. Cecil is asked about his job situation-Cecil had gotten laid off last season but received a severance package. Simone is pushing him to find a job. Mariah is asked what the biggest cultural clash with her marriage and Mariah says it’s the holidays that have been the biggest challenge, making sure both cultures are fairly celebrated.
Toya is asked by a viewer why she flipped out on Simone when she said her sex life was basic and Toya said she wanted her to go deeper with the answer. Cecil is happy with basic as long as it’s frequent. Toya is then asked why she was a mess in Antigua and Toya blames it on starting birth control. Aydin is asked if his ugly, old girlfriend looked like Heavenly and he very politely pleads the fifth. Heavenly handles that very maturely and says that she thinks all of Damon’s exes are ugly so she gets it. That’s growth y’all!!! Old Heavenly would have knocked Mariah out lol.
The men leave so we are back with just the ladies. We get a montage of Toya and Eugene finding their “forever home” and Toya’s messy friendships with some of the ladies-namely Contessa. Toya says the house is amazing and they are closing at the end of February. She’s staying under 2 million to close and is very happy with her two story closet. She shows off her diamond “upgrade” ring. A viewer voices concern over Toya’s spending and Toya says there’s nothing to be concerned about. She’s learned to budget, save and make smart decisions. Andy asks Contessa her opinion on the new house and Contessa says that she’s happy for Toya as they have been living like refugees for years. Oh snap! I don’t even know what that is supposed to imply but it’s now game on between the two.
Andy asks Toya why she took the phone call from Contessa during her party and Toya said it was Heavenly being messy. Toya insists that the girls were being messy by putting Contessa on speaker phone when Toya was about to make a nice speech. There’s a LOT of screaming between Toya, Contessa and Heavenly. We then try to discuss Toya hitting Contessa on her chest and again, more screaming. Andy is exhausted trying to get them to stop screaming. Everyone concurs that Toya did NOT hit Contessa on purpose but there is no reconciliation between the two. Andy tries to defer to Jackie for something positive to happen between Toya and Contessa, but she just want him to let them be. They all go backstage for a break and Contessa feels that Simone was #teamToya. Toya and Eugene are in their dressing room and he is supportive of Toya, as he always is.
Andy apologizes to Toya for always screaming at her during reunions. He commends Jackie for being the heart of the group but can’t understand why, with her intelligence, she can’t work an oven. Jackie doesn’t do things she doesn’t want to do lol. Jackie can’t help but yell at Toya sometimes to get her point across and Andy empathizes. Andy asks where Quad and Toya are in their friendship and they both admit they aren’t where they were but they fight like sisters and will be back to a good place at some point. Quad asks for Toya to just love on her and she will let her back in.
They wrap up by saying what they’ve learned this season and it’s a nice way to end. Oooooh y’all!! There’s a new Married to Medicine show!! It’s Married to Medicine LA! WHOO HOO! This bodes well for our girls, no? One of the cast members is the best friend of Contessa, so we can expect a crossover I’m sure. I’m so happy!
Well, this is it. I cannot possibly convey how much I appreciate everyone who has read this week after week, commented and shared the passion we all have for this show. And I want to thank our queen, Miss Tamara T, for the opportunity to blog about these awesome women and for having this amazing site where we all come to share our love (or hard core dislike) for them and their spouses. It’s been an amazing time and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
