Well we survived another Christmas! The sun is shining the days are getting longer and spring is in sight! Let’s check in on has some of the housewives and other Bravolebrities spent their Christmas day. The Biermann’s went to a lot of trouble to show off this year. Santa came to their house along with a photographer to document all of the excess. There were three four wheelers for the boys, Four scooters, a bicycle, a doll house, and a couple hundred wrapped presents. Brielle gave Kim a Chanel bag. Kim gave Kroy a diamond Cartier bracelet. you could not even get to the tree for all the presents. It was A LOT. Is the lotion business really this lucrative? Time will tell I suppose.
Over in Beverly Hills, LVP put on a huge spread
as a tax write off for her rosé business for her family. The outdoor canopied dining area looked stunning with the LVP rosé prominently displayed in multiple photographs on Instagram. LVP pretended to cook cabbage for the meal. Has she gone vegetarian? The cabbage did look delicious. She seemed to be filled with the Christmas spirit dancing around in her kitchen. It looked like dinner was set for 22 guests. So glad she finally feels like having company now that filming is pretty much over for RHOBH.
And now for a different sort of eye candy. Fredrik and Derek took their babies to the Maldives. They both look fantastic and seem very happy. Both kids are adorable. They seem to be going through their nudity period. We seem them dressed to the nines both on and off the beach. When they get to the water, all bets are off and they both opt for a skinny dip.
I spent the day trying to limit my time on the Internet and give my eyes a rest. Took a few naps. Watched some Christmas and movies ate too much candy. It was great.
So how did you spend your Christmas?
Two kids home from college. Just got to Gatlinburg-my happy place! Happy New year TT to you and Banjo
I love Gatlinburg! Want to go back this summer
We live near Gatlinburg; it is a little jewel.
We came to Hilton Head for the holidays. Loved it!
There are a lot of people from the Smokies here! You will fit right in!
Love this. I work in Sevier County. Live about an hour northeast. Thank you all for the shout out. We locals think Sevierville, Kodak, Wears Valley, Townsend and Gatlinburg are awesome all year ’round. Safe travels and fun times.
The road over the mountain to NC is closed today because of crazy winds. We started a hike and turned around as we were getting hit with things flying through the air! LOL! Gatlinburg is our annual trip. Just love it
That road to NC IS TWO LANE AND VERY WINDING. But it’s breathtakingly pretty. The mountain streams over rocks is gorgeous. I love it there ❤️
I’m from Asheville! Not too far from there!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I spent it with my daughter, grandson, son and his family. Only 10 of us for dinner, but got together with another grandson, his wife, their sweet daughter and my beautiful, gorgeous, first great-grandson later in the day. It was lovely but, to be honest, I’m always relieved when it’s over. Every year, I swear I’m not going to get caught up in all the materialism and stress, but I do. My dream is to rent a cabin in the mountains, have everyone go there, no presents, fun in the snow and lots of good food. Since I’m 72 now, I guess I should get off my lazy butt and see if I can make it happen while I can still enjoy it LOL. Wishing you, Tamara, and all my fellow TT followers here, a Very Happy New Year, with health and fulfillment for each and every one of you.
Happy holidays to you EnglishRose. You have given me hours of entertainment this past year. I hope you get your dream Christmas.
English Rose, don’t have any regrets, make that cabin happen.
Your comments have given me a lot of joy this year.
Thank you.
I’m beyond determined to plan on being in a lodge a day or so prior to a blizzard. My daughter and I are doing and hubs said Mt Charleston won’t have a blizzard, so either we settle for up to 6 inches or so, or head to Utah, or Big Bear. I don’t want to get too stuck though.
I’ve been thinking about this for around a year, and I will figure a way to be in a lodge, in the snow. (Preferably in a blizzard)
No one seems thrilled but my daughter at the thought. I can’t wait.
I signed up for the weekly weather email for Mt Charleston, so now we just need the blizzard!!!!!
I agree EnglishRose. We had a bit of a heart to heart this year. My oldest daughter brought it up, she’s a single mom 6 yrs in…she’s exhausted. My youngest is 17. Next year we’re going to get away, select a secret Santa, and make different memories. My house is a complete shambles, we’re all tired and grouchy. Now, we just need to decide winter vs. balmy and warm. I want winter and I have more money…we’ll see.
Love your comments EnglishRose, I always look for them. Merry Christmas and wish a blessed New Year to you and yours!
Merry Christmas everyone. May our jeans still fit after this week.
EnglishRose, We did it this year, finally and I received emails from two kids how much they loved the day. Small group, gifts only for the youngest kids, there is joy in watching them open gifts, buffet type service, no sit down dinner, food available all day and only wine allowed.
EnglishRose,I love your idea. Make it happen lady! I’ve always wanted to go to a cabin, but I wanted to do it drastic style. No electricity, no running water with only a fireplace for heart. I do believe they call it roughing it…LOL
So if I’m going to do this it would have to be in the winter time to melt snow for water, chop trees for fire and being in meats already cut and frozen. That way when we pack them in snow they last longer. No electricity means no cell, no games, no interruptions and lots of time to reenact my favorite scenes from Outlander, like the love making ones….giggling ???
Thank you so much everyone for the kind words. I love the people on Tamara’s site and hope you all had a lovely Christmas and that the New Year will bring untold joy.
English Rose – We did that! We rented a cabin from the Forest Service (they rent them all over the country for very little money), had a rustic, wintery Christman with sledding, cross country skiing, campfires and smores, and cooked chili for Christmas over a wood stove. No presents. No gift cards. Just company, food and booze. Kids loved it. We loved it. No clean up. $50.00 a night for a cabin that slept 12. Winning!
Had my grandson for 4 days including Christmas day! We had Japanese for dinner. Opened lots of presents. It was a wonderful day!
Midnight mass & straight to bed. Up at 7 taking care of everything to ensure a proper Christmas. Great photographs of LVP & Freddrick s family holiday. I love the visuals. Compliments your writing Prone today on the couch watching THE CAKEMAKER on Netflix. Highly recommended. Should bei n Boston Christmas clearance shopping but yesterday wiped me out ! # GETTING OLD # RELIC
We spent Christmas at my sister’s in the Bay Area 75 miles away. Unless you take a wrong turn, then it is (was) 125 miles. Just the six of us with excellent food. We have learned to pare down our number of dishes to a few favorites. A new one is Ina Garten’s (savory) Herb & Apple Bread Pudding. Inspired by stuffing, but much better. The ? I’d Bethlehem or something watched over us with a taped up radiator hose; the truck did not overheat.
God bless us every one. And Tamara and Banjo, I hope all of your holiday wishes come true.
I am so happy you had a relaxing day just chilling with Banjo!
We went out Christmas Eve to the beach and then had Greek food for supper complete with Christmas carols piped in sung in Greek! Love that. That night our little town has a tradition where everyone donates money to buy luminary bags—which the Greeks call lambathas—and they light up the bayou in the main part of town. It’s a beautiful tradition with everyone coming out to walk around the bayou on Christmas Eve and find your lambathas put out for all the milestones of the year. Christmas Day was chill with just us and the furbaby kittens.
I hope everyone had a good day and Happy New Year to us all!
The past month was crazy, cards, arts and crafts, homemade and online presents, mailing shit, plus work, of course.
Christmas? I get sick as shit. Horrible cold and wheezing. My scalp hurts. I could not hug anyone, or touch the food, for fear of spreading my plague to anyone. Had family over for 3 hours and had my head on the dining room table at one point. Oh and I got bit by a stray cat last week so I am on serious antibiotics and rabies watch, cant drink! Puked up my antibiotics Christmas morning. I cant taste or smell anything. Spending the day after Christmas in bed with a cat on my head, binge watching Parks and Rec on Netflix. So glad this is over. No good deed goes unpunished.
Oh Ingrid, that sounds horrible! Hope you feel much better soon and can find time to see your family again in the next month or so. Hope your new year is much happier & healthier!
Overall I am lucky, I have the week off work, and even though it was a very tough year for my family, everyone is now healthy and happy (except me, but that will pass) .
You might want to let your doctor know your symptoms tomorrow just in case it is related to the rabies treatment. He/she also needs to know you missed a dose.
I am just being treated for possible infection for the bite itself, not rabies, yet. The bites are healed so that is not a problem, and the cold is obviously a virus that the antibiotics are not touching. I have to physically SEE the cat tomorrow or else I may need rabies shots. The cat has been coming to eat at night but I have not seen him (they told me to keep feeding him so he shows up). I really think he belongs to someone because he is not around all the time, just at night. Who lets an unneutered cat run around in 20 degree weather, I dont know! I know it is not my immediate neighbors, and people can be assholes. It has been a mess, the board of health is involved, etc. My cold is getting better though!
I’m sorry you are sick. I know the feeling I was sick last year with bronchitis. It’s no fun trying to host Christmas with a fever. But I did it. Get well soon
Dear God, this sounds HORRIBLE!! Speedy recovery girl!!
I roasted and stuffed a turkey again this year. Our Grandson and I both have what Ingrid has, so I wasn’t sure it was me, or if the turkey really did taste horrible. (it was the turkey) I was heartbroken because it took every ounce of my being to put that meal on the table, but my husband lied and said everything was great. We opened gifts, watched many Godzilla movies, and went to bed early.
I hope everyone had a good, peaceful day!
The tablescape would have been perfect without the candelabra. It obstructs the view and detracts attention from the chandelier. I’m gonna go clap off the lights now.
So none of you have issues with three boys age 5, 6 and seven having their own ATV?
In most states you have to be SIXTEEN to operate an ATV. I don’t think it is legal to let your kids drive ATVs ANYWHERE. At this age.
If I were to guess as being a Mom of boys that at this age both had ATVs that these are the ones that have the ability to turn down how fast they can be driven . These are on the smaller size which why I guess they are the same kind we had for our boys.
Were your boys in kindergarten, first and second grade?
My youngest was prob 7 when he got his. Husbnd is a hunter and we have property . We had it turned down to top speed at 10mph and prob paid 500 for it . I cant see tbose being real racing atvs as the real ones can go up to 65 if not more. I dont find Kim and Kroy to be the best parents on the street though so ya never know. I sure would hope the hell they are not real ones .
My 5 year old grandson has a 4 wheeler but we have a remote attached to it so that if he does anything scary we can just turn it off. Also, we have speed regulated.
Totally agree with you Tamara. As an insurance defense attorney we see plenty of claims/lawsuits regarding children operating ATVs and Golf Carts with serious injuries sometimes fatal. Less than an hour from here Brittany Spears’s niece was driving an ATV and drove it into a pond about 2 years ago. She was younger than 10 and initially I believe they were worried she might not survive. Speeding is not the only danger, the ATV can flip over etc. By the way your homeowners insurance does not cover ATV accidents and the same goes without auto policy, you need special endorsements.
I have issues with every parenting decision that Kim and Kroy make.
‘So none of you have issues with three boys age 5, 6 and seven having their own ATV?”’
Well I do. I wouldn’t allow it. Even if they have speed governors them, Even if they have 20 acres of home property to ride on.
Children those ages don’t have well developed physical balance or reflexes yet. (yea, even some adults never do)
One of my nephews is a emergency room doctor…..want to hear about all the kids emergency rooms see because of ‘kid safe vehicles’?’
Too dangerous unless you intend to jog along side them all the time…..while not texting or talking on your phone.
Are you jogging next to them so the hundred plus pound vehicle can land on you and score you an ER bed next to them?
I have a problem with spoiling the crap out of your kids, trying to be the cool parents. Back in the 1950s and ‘60s, even most well-off parents didn’t give their kids things “just because.” It was your birthday, or Easter, or a Christmas, etc. The ANTICIPATION made everything so much sweeter. Nowadays, it’s on to the next thing five minutes after getting something new. (I sound like those people who walked 100 miles in the snow to get to school every day.)
I tried to imply I felt the same way you did, Nanette. I was fully expecting a lot of push back over the over the top nature of it all.
I have aquantances who have kids in the school Kim’s kids go to and they said the kids were well behaved. That was a couple years ago though and I already see some bad things happening to the twin girl. She’s five and wearing make up and doing photo shoots and is getting a bit of a tude.
I’m extremely non-materialistic. That’s me, some people get happiness from things, I just don’t.
Children that young I wonder what will give them joy, or value for happiness as they age. I think a unfulfilled life or lack of ways to feel happy and excited would be a concern.I wonder if love will equal expensive items? Will it be difficult finding happiness with basic things, or will feelings, not items make them feel happy? They seem very loved, but can love be kept separate from things?
Having a photographer is really odd to me.
Maybe the whole situation is odd to me, and something I never once would say I desired or understand proving love by.
Again, that’s just me. Perhaps some parents consider their own wealth, the success of the family and their happiness.
Those kids are SPOILED. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Horrible way to raise children. We didn’t get ZIP growing up! Everything we got was so appreciated. We weren’t spoiled. We all had jobs by 14 years old and then also had chores around the house. It teaches you the value of a $ and gives you a strong work ethic.. something those kids are going to be lacking. I, too, sound like one of those who “walked 100 miles through the snow to school” but actually? We DID walk to school and it was a mile in unincorporated Cook County (IL). In all kinds of weather too unless it was brutally cold and then Mom would drive us. Kids these days are incredibly soft and spoiled. They need it NOW, can’t wait. Glued to the phone that has taken place of their hands. Kids need to create, to day dream and not be getting hyperactive disorders from staring at little screens all day long. And NOT rewarded for every single things they do, like they just returned from the war or something. Now I sound old. I’m not and I don’t care. Honestly? I avoid ANYWHERE there are kids because I cannot stomach them. Unless they are well behaved in public and I don’t like taking that chance.
I know there are people that LOVE atvs, but one of my cousins nearly lost his leg in one that tipped over and pinned him against a sewer cover. He has major scars and he was about 19 when it happened. I hate those things, and for a 6 year old, does it really surprise anyone that they did something so dumb and dangerous?
The Biermans (more often as not) serve as a cautionary tale for anyone trying to raise children. Kim just can’t hit the floor with her hat as far as making good decisions for her kids. The pic on the beach of Fredrick’s kids was adorable, but made me grab my cheeks and scream, “Noooo!” as well. There needs to be a short tutorial for men raising little girls that includes tips like a toddler girl who probably falls on her bottom often should never be naked on sand!
I have a major problem with kids under 18 riding on one of those death mobiles. I watch enough mountain law shows to see how many adults crash with head injuries WITH helmets on!!! I’m spoiled rotten. I’ll tell anyone that up front. But each gift I got as a child was earned and greatly appreciated. Only the well off and super rich can afford to give kids adult toys without blinking an eye. Even ignoring bad behavior because, “My child is better than yours” syndrome. But Kim is an asshole anyway. Just wait a few days and you’ll be reading how one of them got into an accident. I just hope it’s not life threatening.???
There are so many issues with this family. The four wheelers are a bad idea. They are too young and most likely will have an accident but hopefully not serious. I knew a child many years ago that got decapitated in a four wheeler when he ran into a steel line across a farm road or field? It’s been a long time but he was decapitated. He was 9.
Everyone I know was or is sick. Go to the Dr!! I worked until 11 Christmas Eve, went home wrapped some gifts and was up at 7 to go up to the old homestead to see daughters and granddaughters and sons in law. The girls are 3 and 5 and Katie is also pregnant and in bitch mode. But it was nice. Then went home to prepare dinner for my son and his new family. Very nice but exhausting. Have laid in bed all day because I go in at 11 tonight. ITS OVER WE MADE IT!!!!
Well…. my turkey wasn’t thawed out yet so we went to eat a salmon burger at the Westin and then laid on the couch and watched Die Hard… I had Christmas for the kids last weekend since they had 2 parents to go to on Christmas. Tomorrow I cook the turkey. I hope everyone gets better. Drink emergen-c, hot spicy soup and lay low! Sounds like you deserve it!
Tamara – love this blog and love you!! Thanks!!
ATVS for babies is criminal. I doubt they let them ride them by themselves. At least, I hope not.
Lisa Vanderpump’s table is gorgeous, almost too much. Looks as though she and Pandy started their own lifestyle online magazine. Smart concept. Makes sense that she left the BH mag.
Low-key Christmas. Took kid to airport at 4 am, ate breakfast at Denny’s, went home, watched It’s a Wonderful Life, drank a martini and fell asleep.
Oh, and may I add, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you entertaining folks. Tamara, I appreciate you more every year. It’s telling that many of us don’t watch these shows as avidly as we once did, but here we are. You’ve created something good here, something real. Thank you and have a blessed new year.
Family tradition fried bread dough and all the accoutrements. It had gone by the way side for about 7or 8 years. Truly missed it, so I decided we were making it. Husband volunteered to pick up dough (wow) 1st ) don’t use pizza dough 2nd) make sure paper plates aren’t used between dough 3rd) take dough out of fridge to raise 4th) make sure you have enough oil to fry 5th) test brand new fry pan that it gets hot enough to quick fry 6th) throw Alexa out window 7th) drink a lot. Other than that, gonna try again next year, after reading notes on recipe card. The bonding over the old times was worth it tho. And we got a few laughs
Happy holidays
Merry Christmas Lb, your story cracked me up. I am curious about fried dough though, sounds heavenly!
I’m with Kipper, I was laughing hard at your story. Especially at throw Alexa out the window.
FYI I have discovered a show called HOMESTEAD RESCUE that is airing a Marathon on Discovery right now. It’s about a family of three expert homesteaders who go help idiots living in the woods when they don’t know WTF they are doing. I know it sounds dumb but it is fascinating. Part home makeover, part gardening, part hunting and fishing., part livestock.
Episodes are airing until 5 am. I pray that I record the last few episodes and don’t stay up to watch them all.
I love that show and can’t wait for it to come back. It has taught me a lot.
Maybe they can go out to THE LAND and tell the asshole what he needs to do. Not that he would listen…
Thanks for the tip TT, everyone is out of the house, I’m snuggled under blankets with one cat keeping my toes warm, bingeing on demand “Homestead Rescue” and catching up on TT’s comments. Love it! I may or may not be bingeing on chips a queso as well…
Quick question, I have to enter my name and e-mail address now with each comment, is there no “save” button anywhere?
“and” queso…
I don’t sign in the same way y’all do so I am not sure how it works. I think though that your BROWSER probably saves the email and stuff for you…
Someone else would know more about his than I do.
I have that same problem.
Me too
Kim & Kroy’s children are ADORABLE but must admit the ATV s didn’t register. Way to young to be on them unsupervised. The older two are so sad with the enhancements etc. Both were lovely looking young ladies eons ago. I enjoyed Dont Be Tardy until the dog attack & Kim’s return to RHOA. I dont enjoy it anymore but I do like the children. Kroy reminds me of Lurch from the Addams family schlepping Kim & her accessories around.
Lurch, great analogy!
Kroy has become more and more feminine and waxy looking since he married Kim. He used to be some much smarter and more masculine. It’s like he is transitioning right before our very eyes.
You nailed it! They seem like such an unlikely couple to me. He was rich and young and good looking-ish. Can’t believe he fell for her. My best weird memory is when he was carrying out a tray of wigs on forms when they were going to Destin. It was the BEST!
You nailed it! I’ve been trying to describe it. They seem like such an unlikely couple to me. He was rich and young and good looking-ish. Can’t believe he fell for her. My best weird memory is when he was carrying out a tray of wigs on forms when they were going to Destin. It was the BEST!
HA HA HA LURCH!!!! Perfect!
I have issues with every parenting decision that Kim and Kroy make.
Also, no one seems to have much to say about LVP entertaining 24 of her closest friends for Christmas. Who might that be?
LVP irritates me more than any other human being so I try to stay away from LVP news. There has been a LOT of it lately and most of it contradictory.
LaToya Jackson?
HAHA!!!!????????
I’ve given her a pass this up- coming season. I’ve known people who’ve lost a sibling to suicide and they went through horrible depression, anxiety, grief and guilt for a long time afterwards.
Those were people with feelings. LVP had no issues filming for Pump Rules right after death. MONTHS AND MONTHS before filming for RHOBH.
If you are too distraught to work, you tell your boss you are unable to fulfill your contract. You do not make demands act like a diva, refuse to film with anyone in a group setting and play the victim whilst trying to order around production to suit your whims every day for months on end.
Homestead show is great, was just watching also. His family is moving their home because populated and I think new season is their journey. I loved kroy and thought he was going to calm kim down a bit. Unfortunately the opposite has happened. I remember the first time seeing him with makeup and knew down hill from there. Too bad. I thought anna (?) Had escaped the bull but looks like she’s joined the dark side, shame. When fd done correctly it is terrific. Going to see if actual recipe somewhere. Love holiday stories no ?
Where do the Bierrmann’s get their money? I don’t follow them enough to understand their lifestyle. It seems that the cash would be running out right about now? Lazy after-Christmas day here. Watched 2 movies and was then pissed that I wasted my time as I hated them both. Ugh!
I want to know too. All of that botox and filler isn’t cheap. And the wigs.
My Christmas was spent playing games on my kindle and sending out Merry Christmas texts. That’s about it.
Now New Year’s, I plan on getting my time up. If you know what I mean??????????????
TUNE UP
Damn spell check
If you live where I think you do. NYE is probably going to be a wash out this year.
We spent Christmas Eve in our beloved Boston. Although there was no snow it was sooooo beautiful. Actually thought of you Tamara. I remember you said you once had your best and worst Christmas memory there. You need to come back and see if you can make an all BEST one!
Christmas Day was with family and playing games, dancing and singing. It was special on account of losing our Dad this year. He would have been proud because we made sure we made enough noise for him to hear us! It was a beautiful day.
Hope you were all blessed. Looking forward to a 2019 full of love, laughter and joy!!!! Thank you for another GREAT year Tamara! Hugs!!!!
Presumably the Biermanns needed to have photographic evidence of how ‘abundant’ their Christmas was so that they can prove it to the kids later on when they’re all living in a shack and eating instant ramen for dinner. Seems to me that if your kids had such a memorable time, they wouldn’t need to see photos to remember it later on in life.
Their Christmas was over-the-top ostentatious this year – but surely they must be feeling the pinch with his prolonged unemployment and her show in jeopardy. Even if they paid cash for house & cars… taxes, maintenance, property insurance, health insurance (for 8 people), HOA fees, utilities, food, household staff must be tremendous – then there’s the extravagant lifestyle too. What could be the purpose of this showy display?
Since I thought perhaps I was thrown in the WLS due to the inability to keep my info in the boxes (guess I need to clear out something) HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO EVERYONE!!!!!!(why the delay)
Two weeks ago bff and I did a great staycation (tons of fun in Vegas) and I ran over her foot with my mobility scooter. She went full speed down the hall and right into the elevator doors, lol. Anyways, tomorrow is hopefully a final doctor visit (the 10th), with CT Scans this time and a professional football doc to fix these knees!!!! So wishing myself some answers and repairs for a functional 2019.
Hope everyone is safe, happy, healthy and ready for all good things for the upcoming year. I’m going in with a great feeling to all of us who deserve a great year. Xo (All of us do!!)
That’s the same situation I’ve experienced with the site no longer saving my info, no biggy, I thought I messed up something. Happy holidays, hope you’re 100% in ’19 Cheryl B
Thank you Kipper!!!
Really appreciate your thoughts. Xo
Hope the surgery goes well and you have a total and speedy recovery! I have high hopes for 2019 so bring it on!
Happy New Year All! xoxoxox
Thanks sundayhare3. Seems like a lot of positive energy is being thrown out there for the upcoming year.
I believe it just may matter and could make a difference.
Happy New Year to you as well. Xo
PS. A scooter does sound fun though, if operated safely lol…I pictured your mishaps and had to giggle a bit, I know I could leave a wake of mishaps on a scooter in Vegas, for certain!
So I went to the dr this morning (have a bad cough) and I go in the office and I see the doctor sitting in the back corner. The lady who made my appt said he only is in for one hour today (she told me this back 12-8) and she doesn’t see my name, and I’m sick, can’t be seen.(was beginning to get pissed off!) I gave her my results and she handed to doctor. So he goes behind her, and he starts hand signaling me while I’m ignoring her. So he got me in first and I guess I am getting TWO new knees, the first one has a very big hole in the bone. So he is my hero. He said “let’s get you out of this wheelchair” I think I love him, lol.
2019 is going to be best ever!!!! Of course all you guys are a huge part.
I’m still going to get a scooter because my neck doesn’t turn fully so I really can’t risk putting people in danger by driving a car. Such a no biggie because YAY, I’M GETTING NEW KNEES!!!!!!!!
Everyone have a great day. ?
Thank you Kipper!!!
Really appreciate your thoughts. Xo
