JD Madison was granted a personal recognize bond of $570 by a judge. They did the same thing with Thomas Ravenel where they didn’t have to actually come up with any money to bond out of jail. What was the point of arresting him then? There was a warrant for his arrest for a check that he wrote in September of 2017. That was during the time he was evicted from his restaurant for not paying his rent or his vendors or his other bills. You really should click that link.
The check was for $875.33 the returned it due to insufficient funds. It appears that one of the vendors then went down and filed a police report for check fraud. It seems the wheels of justice turn very slowly in Charleston. JD claims he didn’t know there was a warrant on him.
At any rate, the streets are Charleston are a bit less safe again today! Be alert!
2018 is quickly coming to a close and many of us are ready for a brand new year in 2019. This is the time of year where we start hopeful that next year will be better. And for JD Madison, he’s really not wanting to hang on to 2018. Much like his buddy Thomas Ravenel, he was accused of drugging and raping and undisclosed Mount Pleasant woman. Then a month or so later he was accused of witness tampering and/or allegedly stalking the victim or having someone else do it to intimidate her so that she would not testify.
Today, TMZ is reporting that JD was arrested today on some sort of check violation. It’s unclear if it was a bad check, or a stolen check or what he did exactly. He was picked up at 3 pm today. JD lost his restaurant in Charleston when he was unable to pay his rent. He allegedly ran through all of his wife’s inheritance without her knowledge.
At the end of 2017 it seemed he was heading for divorce from his humiliated wife, Elizabeth, but I don’t think that has happened yet. Elizabeth seems to get sucked back into the relationship.
There is not a lot of information on the most recent arrest today. It seems a bit likely that he will be in jail until after Christmas as I presume the judges are all off enjoying the Christmas break. Merry Christmas, JD. I’m sure your lump of coal will still be in your stocking when you get home. The jail website lists his court date as January 23.
