TGIF!! Here we are at the season finale of our hidden Bravo gem. It’s certainly been a tumultuous season-these ladies have BROUGHTEN IT! We begin with Mariah arriving, via party bus, at the hospital to see an admitted Aydin. He has viral meningitis, which can be very dangerous. The other ladies are very concerned and want Aydin to get better.
The next day, all the ladies text Mariah to check in on Aydin but there’s no news, they’re treating it the best they can but he’s still in the hospital. Simone and Cecil connect their laptop to have their virtual therapy session with Dr. Ken. They bring up the date night where Simone stormed out and Simone feels like Cecil isn’t taking ownership of the hurt he caused by having a female best friend whom he put before his wife. Simone actually filed for divorce over Cecil going to dinner with Tammy instead of staying home with Simone. Simone had begged him not to go but he went anyway. Wow. Cecil is sorry that he brought Tammy into the marriage and Simone wants to truly move forward.
Mariah is with Aydin and they are on day 3 of his hospital stay. He is slowly getting better, thankfully. Mariah is hopeful they will leave the hospital soon and Aydin will make a complete recovery.
Toya, Eugene and their boys arrive at the building site of their new home. They are writing bible verses on the foundation walls as a way to start their lives there with good energy. Toya is picturing the future with their boys in the new house, she can picture her boys going to prom and coming down the staircase with their tuxes. It’s very sweet. Toya and Eugene are dedicated to never going back to owing taxes and they feel good about their future.
Aydin finally gets discharged from the hospital. He’s exhausted but happy to be home. Mariah and Aydin were planning a party called “Doctors on the Dock” prior to his hospitalization. Aydin wants to keep the party as planned. He feels like it will be good for him to see everyone and it’s something for him to look forward to.
Jackie and Curtis go look at a lot where Jackie would like to build a house. They can’t find a house they both love so Jackie feels it’s the best compromise: Jackie gets a home closer to work and Curtis gets his big kitchen. It’s a new beginning that they can literally build from scratch. They both seem happy about the future together.
Heavenly and Contessa visit Quad at her Sister Circle studio. Heavenly is happy with how her friendship with Contessa has evolved and she’s come to really like her. They are going to be a part of the studio audience to support Quad. The girls are impressed with how happy and natural Quad is on her show.
It’s the day of the “Doctors on the Dock” party and it’s raining. Mariah is very put out by the this. But wait, there’s a tent so the day will be saved! Oh wow there’s a HOT acoustic singer from Dr. Jarrett’s party that will be playing. (Mr. PopCultureKelly he’s not hotter than you, don’t worry :0) The setup looks beautiful and the party will go on.
Toya and Eugene arrive at the party and Toya feels it will be different than the Doctors on the Dock party Mariah had during season 1 as they will not be fighting at this one. There’s a cigar rolling station and it looks amazing. Mariah’s backyard is truly gorgeous. Quad is reflective as when she went to the party in Season 1, she and Dr. G were newlyweds. She’s sad that at this party she’s getting a divorce. Contessa arrives and no one is getting choked out…yet. They head to the bar so anything can still happen.
Heavenly and Damon arrive and Heavenly is feeling good about coming to Mariah’s house. Jackie and Curtis make an entrance as Curtis breaks a glass walking down the stairs. Aydin and Mariah emerge to a thunderous applause for Aydin. Aydin is very appreciative for everyone who texted, called, sent cards and gifts while he was in the hospital. The ladies all gather around and discuss how impressed they are by Mariah and Heavenly’s newfound friendship. Quad doesn’t trust it but the other ladies are happy they aren’t fighting. Damon and Miss Lucy have a nice, cordial talk. Lucy seems to really like Damon-who wouldn’t? Toya wants Eugene to not be nice to Contessa but Eugene is too mature to fall into Toya’s drama trap. The guys convene in the “men’s area” where Damon and Eugene discuss how they had contracted viral meningitis at work, just as Aydin did. ER doctors are no joke! God bless them. Quad thanks Contessa and Heavenly for supporting her at Sister Circle and Heavenly wants to know when Quad will make time to date. Contessa encourages Quad not to limit her dating to just men…hmmm. Contessa says love is love which is true but…hmmm.
Heavenly, Jackie and Simone discuss Heavenly’s reconciliation with Mariah, and both Simone and Jackie feel that Heavenly has come a long way on her spiritual journey. Their trip to Miami really gave Simone and Jackie a better understanding as to why Heavenly is the way she is. Aydin had invited Dr. G to the party, but he wouldn’t come as Quad was going to be there. All the ladies gather around and they say how grateful they are for each other’s friendship. Mariah is thankful that all the ladies came to the party, and she will never forget how they were all there for her with Aydin’s hospitalization. Mariah tells the ladies how Heavenly swore in church at their meetup and they all burst out laughing, which is a wonderful way to end a great season.
Our favorite doctors and doctor’s spouses will have a 3 part reunion! Wow. Mariah and Quad go at it, Quad and Dr. G have a private sit down with Andy and reveal abuses on both ends in the marriage and the men have a separate segment as well. Hopefully I see y’all in the comments and next week for what looks to be a REALLY good reunion!
This has been a really good season. Thank you for all the recaps! Looking forward to the reunion. I’m holding out hope for Contessa to see how ridiculous she was. Not hoping Simone sees her own faults.
Thank you for all of your fabulous recaps. It was a great season and I’m really looking forward to the reunion.
Love this show so much, and the recaps are amazing! I read your recaps prior to watching the show, for greater insight, please keep up the good work!
Yeah, this and HWNY are my favorites. These women just seem more interesting, I’m not sure what it is.
It isn’t that they are black, because I hate HWAL and love this one. They are just more interesting, and intelligent. Also, they all have some pretty decent husbands. Anyway, sorry the season is over, looking forward to reunion.
I love this show. I hope Bravo leaves it alone and allows it to stay one one night for the season.
I am looking forward to the reunion.
I like this show and the genuine relationships.
I’m hopeful for Jackie and Curtis. I noticed he didn’t make any inappropriate comments about a woman on this episode, that’s progress.
You did such a fantastic job recapping this season! I’d love to see M2M back on Sunday nights and stay there
Thank you for the recaps! This is the best show on Bravo!
I’m so glad for these M2M recaps! I stopped watching the show a couple of seasons ago because there just isn’t enough time in the day, but I love keeping up with these women and their husbands. I love the strong personalities, the real struggles, and the occasional humorous moments.
Heck, I may have to start watching again!
Thanks again for the recaps! You’ve done a great job!
Great season great recaps – can’t wait for the reunion episodes!
Your recaps are appreciated. This show is one of my top three. I wish they would cross over with the RHAT. And I really wish that the Little Women If Atlanta were a Bravo show some so they could join too.
Once again another great season #M2M
Many thanks for a great season of brilliant recaps. This show is woefully underrated.
Looking forward to the reunion recaps (which are always better than the shows themselves), and also to reading your take on future programs.
Wishing you and TT all the best for the holidays and the new year to come.
