I think I will let you guys discuss this and keep my trap shut. Also, you might want to discuss the whole three hour C-Section thing. Or not.
Come for the tea. Stay for the shade.
I think I will let you guys discuss this and keep my trap shut. Also, you might want to discuss the whole three hour C-Section thing. Or not.
Come for the tea. Stay for the shade. Not for the easily offended. You're a special snowflake just like everyone else.
Miss mrs Kenya moore ✌🏻
I don’t think she was that thin pre-pregnancy, so I’d be amazed if she really looks like that after a C-section, especially if she hasn’t been able to work out. But, who knows. Anything is possible.
I had a c section and snapped back in a couple of weeks.
I weighed more the morning after my first c-section! Then the tears came.
Well for one thing the pic is photo shopped because ummm…check the back fat. You can’t have that much fat on your top half and zero on the stomach after having a baby!! What ever kind of stuff you try.
Not buying it. Four kids and I call bullshit. Ugh.
Um, can you get a c-section then a tummy tuck? My firstborn was a c-section due to him being in breech position. I had an old country doctor who cut me horizontally (the old fashioned way) and I believe him having to sew me up together that way always made my stomach a little tighter. Which may be the case here. Who GAS? She looks amazing and probably due more to her excercise regime more than anything. Go Kenya!!
I had a c-section 3 years ago and my doctor cut me horizontally also. I didn’t know that hortizontal is dated. A vertical cut doesn’t seem logical to me?
Vertical is necessary when the baby must be born very, very rapidly. The scar is visible up to the belly button. I developed adhesions from scarring that required more abdominal surgery. Doctors stress that you need to be gentle to your body while healing. Enjoy your time with baby.
I had an emergency c-section in 1998.Just curious I’ve had two natural births since then ,but how did they find the adhesions.Ive read about it because after my third child in 2013 I’ve had problems ever since.
I had an emergency c-section after a placental abduction and the doctor used a vertical cut. My stomach has never been the same. For more than 20 years, I’ve had occasional sharp pains where my left ovary is and my scar hurts when I work out. The docs could never figure out why but I assume it’s just scar tissue.
As for her snapback and 3 hour c-section claims… I’m skeptical.
Darn autocorrect, placental abruption.
Very skeptical about the 3 hr. C-Section I’ve never heard of one taking that long ever plus they cut through 3-4 layers of muscle and there is no way she’s working her stomach out in a couple of weeks. I’ve had 2 and healed very well after both but not doing sit ups or leg lifts in 3 wks. I still think this was all a set up.
My last one was the same… I had them take the baby, my tubes and my ovarian cysts…. I wish I could have just added a friggen mommy make over to list of procedures…
The same thing happened to me . Both my daughters had to be C-Sections and after, all that I had adhesions. I developed issues and a few years ago need surgery . I wasn’t nearly as lucky as Kenya is at getting the body back. I will say though she was in great physical shape when she got pregnant that helps too.
To answer your question: yes. And more.
Yes you can have a tummy tuck after a C-Section but it’s advised you do it only if you’re not planning on more children. I’d imagine the recovery time would be bloody painful and longer. A lot of stars do it. She looks great-I’d say most women her age don’t look like that after a C-Section.
No offense to Kenya, she didn’t start it and I get she’s proud of her body but I’m really sick of these post-baby body pic’s. Women have a shit-ton of pressure to loose weight after the birth of a baby from husbands, family, society (yada yada). These pic’s don’t help.
@sliceo’pie – I couldn’t agree more. I wish the snap-back pics would stop. It creates an unrealistic expectation that new mothers just don’t need.
That’s what I was wondering. I’ve had both but years apart. I really cannot imagine either of my doctors saying yes to that. I mean obviously they can pull you tight during your c-section…? But that’s not a tummy tuck.
Duh I meant vertically.
Hahahahaha and I just saw this comment. My fault!
Glad you clarified that the “old fashioned way” is indeed vertical–not horizontal. Nowadays if possible Drs. will due a horizontal incision aka “bikini incision” to avoid a scar when wearing a normal sized bikini–(not the kind Kim Kardashian would wear),,,, Surgical nurse speaking here.
Angles are everything! I wanna see a candid of Kenya that isn’t a selfie…then we will decide if she has snapped back or not. Not trying to be hateful, just pointing out how easy it is to control angles when taking selfies.
That being said, Kenya has always been in great shape and even if she has had held onto some baby weight, I’m sure she is still very beautiful!
I’ve had three sections. They do not take three hours. From the time they get you anesthetized, it takes maybe 10 minutes. For my last one, I had a spinal, and was ready to be cut open in a matter of minutes. She may be adding in recovery time in the PACU. They usually don’t let you go until you can move your legs, which can a while depending on anesthesia.
Right? I don’t know if mine took about ten minutes but once they were ready it went really quick and I had complications after the baby was out. The longest part was the stitching but I think I was just so ready to meet my little.
Several of my friends have had c-sections and none where three hours long. Even the emergency vertical cut was quick as heck. I don’t doubt that she looks great posing in good compression yoga pants at a flattering angle. Preeclampsia causes lots of water weight and if you start out being taller with an awesome figure like Kenya, looking good isn’t abnormal at all. I’m w/y’all on the hours long c-section seeming weird but just because I’ve never heard of someone going through it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. She could’ve had extra skin removed like a mini tummy tuck or something. The ob/gyns who can do that procedure advertise it prominently down in south Mississippi; I guess it’s more common than I imagined.
I’ve had 2 cs. First one I had complications and had to be TOTALLY put under. It took 2 hrs. The baby came out in about 20 minutes but then issues developed.
My second baby was also a cs but that took only 30 minutes.
We really don’t know what happened in that operating room with Kenya. All cases are different.
Not all cs is in and out.
I’ve been a RN for 28 years . If there’s a 3 hour c section, it’s not on a human
What about the person who posted here that her daughter’s C- Section started at 6:30am, babywas delivered at 9:14am. As an RN if you add the time you think it would normally take to treat and clean up of the Surgery site and then close the incisions to 2 hours 44 minutes what would you come up with then or is the grandma that posted that info lying too?
Do you really have to post this after every comment?
Pardon me TT. My bad. Just felt like replying with evidence gathered right here.. 😁
I guess am not a human
I had two very difficult pregnancies and two c sections. I was very high risk. I really cannot tell you exactly how long the c sections took (I was really doped up) but the preparation, anesthesia and other stuff (like being in the recovery room, coming out of anesthesia) was about 3 hours. Its hard to say how long hers took because we don’t know what exactly the doctors did. Her pregnancy was high risk, and no telling how much damage her uterus suffered. Also, I was eclamptic, with lets so swollen that you could literally push your finger into my foot and leave an inch indentation in my foot, but after my children were born, that went away pretty quickly. Kenya looks amazing in her picture, and frankly, even if she is wearing compression pants and posing at a flattering angle, she looks a lot better than most of us would after going through what she went through to bring this child into the world.
Agreed. I have had 3 c-sections. None of them took 3 hours and my first was complicated. They all were done within an hour, from start to finish. There is no way she had a 3 hour c-section unless she had lots of kids in that belly!
Also, my stomach looked pretty good within a month for the first and second. The third messed it up and it still hasn’t snapped back!
Hmm I went in to the OR at 7 pm and got the epidural immediately. My twins we’re born a minute apart at 7:50 and then I was in there getting stitched up another 45 min before they rolled me out. Like Kenya, I also had preeclampsia so idk if that contributed to me staying in the OR longer but I don’t think it did as I had several drs working on different things on me. I could believe the entire ordeal was 3 hours.
It is not uncommon for the rich and famous to have a tummy tuck along with a C section. If she did, she wouldn’t be the first and certainly will not be the last. Some Photoshop involved? Maybe. Besides, preeclampsia can cause severe water gain and bloating during pregnancy. Mrs. Moore-Daly looks great.
No reputable obgyn would allow a paniculectomy ( a tummy tuck ) & a c section at the same time. I’m sorry this is photoshopped
Best doc in my city advertises it so they certainly do.
Geez. The year is 2018. You need to do more research, because it is done. Lol!
There is no way they would give her a tummy tuck if she had preeclampsia. It’s much too dangerous and the goal is to control your blood pressure and keep you alive sans heart attack or stroke. I got it right as I had my twins and gave me magnesium and I was vomiting and you know what else (tmi) from the meds for hours
Research before replying, because it is certainly an option to have a tummy tuck. I am guessing that maybe it is unheard of in small towns, but big city like Dallas. Girl, please.
I have a hard time believing a doctor would give her a tummy tuck after having to give her a blood transfusion during the c section.
None of theses commenters actually know what they’re talking about it so just let it go. I’ve been in the OR probably longer then the people posting have been alive so I actually know what I’m talking about. Level 1 trauma center in a big city, not Dallas!! Lol
Here’s a great article that explains why c-tucks are terrible. As a doctor, I genuinely would caution anyone of even seeing someone offering the procedure.
Well I know I’ll be attacked for posting this but WTF you only live once! Who the hell has a 3 hour C-section and where the fuck did her physicians get their degrees? She can post whatever bullshit she wants because by law her Dr’s can’t say a word to dispute her (HIPAA). I’m sorry but one minute her C-section was excruciating to riding around on a scooter in Target mere days later? THIS is why so many people questioned her pregnancy in the first place. IF you really want to play the devil’s advocate here and believe EVERY word that she posts/says, I really didn’t see her as the one that would be worried about a “snapback” or promoting crap on her site. I thought that she would be so engrossed with those 10 tiny fingers and toes and her husband waiting on her hand and foot that she would be off of the grid for at least a month. Nothing adds up, from the excruciating 3 hour C-section to the riding around Target for preemie clothing, to picture posting ON RHOA nights specifically, to concert going to (John Legend allegedly), to ad pushing for blankets, to snapbacks all in 3 weeks. Also let’s be honest, a C-section at 47 isn’t the same as a C-section at 27, the body takes longer to heal and like her or not, she’s no different.
I was thinking the same thing, I try not to care to much about “celebrities”but I had an emergency c section 2 weeks before her. I’m half her age and was in better shape than her, I went to target two weeks after my little one was born and literally spent days afterwards on the couch I was in so much pain. I hate how women are so concerned with their image weeks after giving birth, birth is a big deal and our mortality rate for pregnant women and post in this country especially for African American women is crazy scary.
Thank you, she had a high risk pregnancy (according to her), so why would you risk being out mere days after surgery? She has a cousin, her aunt and most importantly a husband? None of it is adding up and I know many like her and believe everything she says but THIS is a NO for me.
The video of Kenya dancing all limber and peppy when she was supposedly 8 mos pregnant at Kandi’s party was when I figured it was funky
Yup, her fans want you to forget all she’s said and done and damn it just be happy for her.
No her fans dont want you to forget anything. Just give her the same benefit of doubt you give every other housewife. Are you talking about another video or the fast forwarded one where her leg was going back and forth. WHAT is wrong with a pregnant woman dancing. Pardon me, Kenya is not supposed to because…….
Go to Porsha’s Instagram page and watch Porsha really really dancing. But I’m sure none of you will question why she is dancing when she just came out of the hospital a few weeks back. Who said that you cannot dance when you pregnant unless you are faking it. Incredible!!!
Kenya HAD a high risk pregnancy. Keyword…. HAD.
When Kenya went to Target 5 days post-partum, she no longer was pregnant. Kenya had been single for most of her adult life and did things on her own terms and for herself. If I were in her shoes and had a Premie after all the trials and tribulations I would also be at Target shopping and SELECTING what I as a brand new sparkling mother want for my miracle baby’s care even sooner. Instead of giving her credit for shopping for her baby, you turned it into a weapon to use against her. Who sends her husband to go and buy Premie baby stuff or anything for that matter for her? 😜
Please call CPS on Kenya because she went to Target, driving around in a instead of staying at home to take care of her baby after “claiming” that she had a high risk pregnancyncy.
Do you even realise how ridiculous your comment sounds…..but……but….. it’s about Kenya Moore who is not supposed to live her life the way other normal people do, but you see Kenya keeps being blessed by God, making all she had ever wished for come true .🤱🏽👨👩👧🙌🏽👑
****drinving around in a cart***
Facts, sis. Every post. 🎯🙌🏽
Congratulations!
Thank you!😃
I’ve had 2 c-sections, the first was an emergency and second was planned. The first one I had on a Tuesday after 27 &1/2 hours of hard back labor. I went home Thursday and went to Costco on Monday and pushed the cart around. That night my incision popped open. Had zero to do with pushing that giant cart around and everything to do with my unknown until then allergy to the dissolving stitches used in the inside. I come from sturdy stock I guess.
im just curious as I read it takes a few days for the medicine to wear off after a c section (anesthesia morphine etc) if maybe some women still have it in their systems after they leave? My Incision is really low and the tape or whatever they put, got stuck on everything I wonder if that contributed to my discomfort along with not taking the meds they prescribed.
Congratulations on the baby!! That’s so exciting. Hope you’re feeling better now. Best wishes.
Thank you! Yes I’m doing much better and on cloud 9 🤗
@OhDearMe: I agree. Puzzled how her stomach was flat (from a side angle) riding on that Target cart 5 days after given birth.
Yeah there’s a lot of this story that doesn’t add up, it’s her story and that’s cool. Just because she hands you a cup with yellow liquid in it, don’t expect me to believe it’s lemonade. I wish her the absolute best going forward but I’m happy she’s not on RHOA. Enough of the Kenya Moore what’s the truth show.
Photoshop? That’s what I get. Not that she’s faking her entire pregnancy. Sheesh. Maybe she learned something from the Biermann girls.
Nonsensical comment.
FAKED a pregnancy? Something is really really wrong with you and your ilks’ way of analytic thinking.
Photoshop yourself and post, let’s see what we will get. Sheesh!
Oh, fuck off. I am not talking to you.
Fahnasi, you seem REALLY invested in this.
A. its absolutely photoshopped.
look at her upper thighs in comparison to pics ‘pre pregnancy’
B. pretty sure Fahnasi is Click Bait Kenya’s assistant.
The crazies come out when Kenya is the topic. First they said that she was a liar and not pregnant! Now they are calling Kenya a liar for saying her surgery etc hiving birth took 3 hours! Om gawd! Give me a freaking break! Each person is different. I believe her. All of the stuff she said on RHOA has been proven to be mostly true!! Hello Apollo and Faketra?! Jailbirds. It’s your story and your life Kenya! I believe you. #WeWantMoore. #Team KenyaMooreDaly
Fahnasi, you are the original triple threat: you’re pedantic, verbose, and annoying. James Brown wrote a song for you, it’s called Talking Much And Saying Nothing. You seem destined for the WLS because you don’t know how to have a discussion about differing opinions without getting personal, and you’re not funny. Like not even a little. There is no flow, wit or verve : you’re like a Hallmark card come to life, spouting platitudes and banality.
What angle should she have used, boss?
It s always baffling to me, the length that those who do not like Kenya Moore would always go to, to discredit her. For those of you that know people that had C-Section, none of you had mentioned that any of them had Pre-Eclampsia. It seems to me also that you were commenting from the standpoint of not knowing all the characteristics of the Disorder.
None of us here were in that Delivery Room with her. None of us can say whether she had complications or not, which might account for how long she said the C-Section took. Kenya had posted that she lost a lot of blood during that Surgery. One of the characteristics in severe cases, and it looks like her’s was severe, in addition to high BP, Proteinuria, you also have a breakdown of red blood cells and low platelet count which would account for the blood loss that she mentioned. So with the high BP, swelling, fluid build up maybe even in her lungs but most importantly the blood loss, her detractors want the OBGYN to just got in and finish 10 minutes later. This pregnancy was already high risk mind you.
As far as our health and healthcare are concerned, it is not always a one size fits all. A disease that kills patient A, may not kill patient B. My sister-in-law was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in 2011, it’s 71/2 years now and she is still alive post Surgery and Chemo. But we know of people that died of that Cancer within months of diagnosis. My husband was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer last year. He had his Surgery in October of last year, he was wheeled into the OR at 7:30 AM and his brother and I are let into his Recovery Room at 5:30PM. Does all Prostate Cancer Surgery prep, the Surgery and Recovery take 10 hours. Of course not, but in his case he had the Robotic Surgery and none of us had any inkling that it would take that long. Thank God that after an 8-week course of Radiation this past Summer he was declared Cancer free. To God be all the Glory. 🙏
I read quite a bit of the Comments on her Instagram page. There were several Commenters that said that they have not been able to snap back even years later and there were also several people that said that they snapped back into their regular shape within a 2-4 weeks. One even said she lost all her baby weight in one week BUT she is not Kenya. Kenya Moore had been and is a Fitness buff with a Fitness Video to show for it. She was very fit before she got pregnant but how dare she show off her weight loss unless she had a tummy tuck or took a selfie at an angle and neglecting her child.
Just like you have your opinion on her situation, others do to. Doesn’t make any of you any more right or wrong than the other. None of us know the details other than what she shared.
But I will say this, her high risk pregnancy aside, a c-section is usually done if mother or baby is in distress, which it seems she was. I don’t know if a c-section that would take 3 hours unless, as someone stated, she was including her recovery time. None of us for sure though.
I know several folks who had c-sections that the recovery process can be difficult and riding around in a cart at Target was not something they would have elected to do, especially with a husband and aunt and family around.
I don’t begrudge her body at all. If she has snapped back, good for her. But I think it’s a little unfair to want people to believe she had a medical (not body shape) comeback like she is portraying.
If you have to tell half-truths about it, why post at all?
No problem, just stop making up storiies about her. and demanding from her what you do not ask of other housewives. That’s rank hypocrisy.
Kenya’s relationships, the good , the bad, the ugly had been on display since she joined RHOA unlike some other people but the lies about her continue. In every instance she proves her distractors wrong but instead of accepting that they were wrong, they come up with another gossip, The good Lord keeps making her dreams come true, she keeps winning and that is what irks all of you..
Doesn’t irk me at all, lol. These are people I probably will never meet. I am not that invested in Kenya’s life like that. All I wanted was a healthy baby for her because as a mother, I was happy that she got to experience something she really wanted. I wish the same for Porsha or any other reality tv star who is having a baby. And I don’t care if she carried the baby or a surrogate did.
TT asked people’s opinion on it and I like many others shared. Didn’t make up anything because none of us know the truth, and that includes you. Unless you out here breaking HIPPA laws lol.
If you are not invested, why are you here calling her a liar?
Why bring up “surrogate” if you are not trying to perpetuate the myth that was never pregnant?
Where did you get the “half-truths” from?……Definitely not from anything Kenya Moore has said about her pregnancy, delivery of her baby or anything she has done post- partum.
None of us knows the “absolute” truth and that is why unlike you, I would not call her story half- truths
Fahnasi, your assumptions that everything Kenya says and does is 100% truthful is clearly your stance on the situation.
Others notice things that don’t seem to make logical sense here and there and they are free to point them out as well..
PLEASE READ THE COMMENTING RULES. Pay attention to the one about typing they same thing over and over and over trying to force people to agree with you.
No Fahnasi, many people in here are huge supporters of Kenya’s, they have often thought she got a raw deal and have shared in her success’s. , Next, Kenya’s photo is real or not, posted to show her hard work or posted to show Porshe’up and others, I don’t know and I don’t care. She has posted a great photo of herself while making other post C-section women feel like crap. I do not understand grown women posting a photo like this, thought Kenya had more class than this.
Calipatti, I agree with most of what you have said but the part that confuses me is the rage some commenters obviously feel towards her posting a picture like that.
Why are so many woman on here that have been through C-Sections so pissed off at her for saying she looks like that? She’s not called any of them lazy, mis-shaped or any other degrogatory adjective. She’s just said “This is how I look a few weeks after birth, feeling great”. I get that C-Sections are traumatic, leave women bruised, uncomfortable and not feeling their best. But if she wants to say she’s feeling fabulous a short time after, who cares? Surely its on them and not Kenya if they’re feeling like crap about their bodies?
I dunno. Maybe it’s cause I’ve not been through that experience like that that I don’t grasp the negative vibes. But if Kenya has gone down the Kim Z route of manufacturing her reality after the surgery then I pity her feeling the need to look that way.
Kenya purposely making other post C section women feel bad is a bit of a stretch don’t you think? I think many of the commentators here are taking things WAY too personally.
When I see patients post-op they frequently mistakenly add their recovery time to their surgical. Although in many places the recovery room (PACU) isn’t used for caring after a c-section unless things didn’t go well and the patient needed general anesthesia (instead of simply an epidural/spinal anesthetic).
Soooo, to dispute your first paragraph, I had pre-eclampsia with my first child and an emergency c-section because my child’s heart rate dropped to unsafe levels. He was born via c-section but they had to use a vacuum to get him out, he was only 4 lbs, and his cord was tied in a full knot. I also had to be given medicine for extreme nausea during surgery. My surgery did not take 3 hours. The whole process, from getting wheeled into the OR and then the recovery took much longer than 3 hours. But the actual surgery was done in an hour.
Your pregnancy is your pregnancy and Kenya’s pregancy journey is hers. I didn’t see where you said that you had low platelet count and therefore bled and lost a lot of blood like Kenya. I had three miscarriages between my first and second child and my sister with same genetic make up never had a miscarriage……..so what’s your point.
The 3 hour issue has just been given legs by someone here that posted about her daughter who had a Pre-eclamptic pregnancy. Her daughter’s C-Section started at 6:30AM and the baby was brought out at 9:14AM. That’s 2 hrs and 44 minutes. I’m sure that the clean up and closure of the incisions took more than 16 minutes. So in essence, her daughter’s C-Section Surgery must have taken more than 3 hours……… BUT her daughter is not Kenya so her 3 hour C-Section happened but not Kenya’s. Come on people!
Shit the bed TT I accidentally put my real name so can you not approve the above? Not that you should have to cuz my mistake. Sorry about that!!
Oh do shut up, F.ahnasi.
LOL LOL!
Given that she had so many other issues, logic would suggest they’d be hurrying that c-section along, not taking their sweet time.
They would not have been taking their sweet time and they didn’t have to hurry up anything. The Physicician that did the C-Section knew what was best for her patient and performed accordingly..
Thank you for this comment. Am reading these comments and thinking that I should probably sue my doctors for keeping me in surgery for 2 hrs since according to these people here I should have been out in 10 minutes. I guess my doctors went to bad schools.
If woman A had her cs in 10 minutes then every woman on earth better have her cs in 10 minutes or less?
If someone had heart surgery in one hour then every heart surgery patient better leave that operating table in one hour?
Has anyone considered that she may also be adding the time from prepping to stitching? Or was she supposed to tabulate each minute spent because she’s Kenya Moore and she’s not liked?
My first cs was two hours and I would really hate for someone to call me a liar.
There’s a nurse here that says it’s impossible. My question to this nurse is to tell me if every type of surgery has gone exactly as planned?
Ridiculous!!
It’s always baffling to me the length those that DO like Kenya will go to simply to defend her silly comments, statements or shenanigans! Like the whack-a-doddle that’s posted to me over and over again! Your book of explanations are meaningless as I simply used Kenya’s words and actions in my post, which would be #facts, would they not? The thing is if you feel that Kenya is truthful, then that’s all that should matter to YOU! As adults we can agree to disagree and move on and that should be fine, no? Everything that happens in the dark will be revealed in the light, so I guess we’ll both watch what happens!
Y’all are so much more polite than I want to be. Bitch has WAY too much time on her hands and comes on like a preacher. She knows what is RIGHT and JUST and MORAL by God and she will forcefully minister her shining truth to us heathens. Does she really think anyone is gonna read all that shizz? The label on my shampoo bottle is more compelling reading. If she’s gonna troll I expect her to come correct. Bottom line, Fahnasi got no snap back.
OMG! Thankyou! Where have u been?? I thought I was the only 1. Kenya is batshit
Surrogate hasn’t delivered yet or maybe pending adoption? This is why all the selective images of the big hand baby, not even the back of head shown while cuddling, flat tummy Target rides and now the quick bounce back. She’s been playing us all. I did believe her until the photo of the cart ride less than 5 days after giving birth. It’s all stunningly obvious if you’re objective.
Spunky is being objective! ? It’s a Christmas miracle.
Yes I am , thank you.
You’re encouraged to walk around right after cs. Riding around target did not surprise me.
How about women that have no family or friends and have to go shopping to feed their babies?
Not every woman has a husband, a baby room, a baby shower with all the pomp and pageantry.
Some women even go back to work a week or less after birth in pain. It’s not recommended but it’s not impossible.
Women in poor countries start going back to work the next day. They have to or they will starve. Some even push out the baby themselves, cut the cord and have dinner on the table by dinner!!
This is not unusual people!
Some women are actually strong and hard working!!
Compare a woman that has a rich husband and a woman that is single with no family. The women will behave in two different ways.
Kenya has been single for a long time and has done everything for herself.
Also Kenya has had mommy issues and am not surprised that she would want to go shopping and be hands on with her miracle baby.
It amazes me when people think they know these people-so much thought is given to them. How did we start talking about women in third world countries? I went to the kitchen for a cookie (ok three) and everything went crazy.
I can’t keep up either and ALL of my WP comments have been going to spam for two days and I have to fish them out send them to my inbox and then deal with them. Also, I am probably dying of something.
Nene is that you. Damn. Lol.
Wow, that was a definite drop the mic post!! 🙂
I think she got the “Mommy” makeover during her c-section. She doesn’t look anywhere near the 200 pounds she claimed to be a few months back.
I think she did too. If I could afford it, I would do the same. Honestly, I think the picture has been tweaked. Celebrity are known to manipulate their photos. It not uncommon.
Honestly, I would too! I’d never want to go under the knife if I didn’t have to, but if I was already there? Why not. And I agree, her middle section looks hella photoshopped.
My 2nd c-section was 1.5 hours and that was pure torture. I cannot imagine being on that table for 3 hours. If true, she had to have had complications or something going on.
She looks great. That’s all I have to say about that.
I agree with you. She looks absolutely great. The time it take for a C-section varies and let’s be honest. Some of us may have had complications and some of us didn’t. For those who C-section was 10 minutes, they are so lucky i agree.
My first c section was horrible. THey gave me an epidural and started cutting me open. Shortly into the procedure, the epidural wore off or was too low a dosage and the anesthesiologist was too worried about me stroking out on the table to give me anything else. So I basically had to endure major surgery, awake, feeling it all. It was hell, but I got my beautiful daughter from it, so that makes it all worth it.
Surrogate
My daughter just had a c section at the #1 hospital in the US. Boston women and Brighams. She was in labor from june 8th to june 11th. (Preclampsea).
Once the decision that a vaginal delivery wasnt possible the c-section started at 630am. And the baby was born at 914am.
My daughter had a horizontal incision that took her 4 weeks to recover from.( she was suppose to change her diet as well to low sodium but was never told this). By end of her first month post delivery she had a kidney infection that threatened her heart.
(Rare case I know)
But if she poped out a kid.no way.
My granddaughter was 5lbs 2oz.my daughter did not bounce back like that and she is quite active.
Just saying the incision alone is painful. I dont know anyone in two three days that would be taking a selfie like that. Just saying…
She took that selfie 3 weeks later, not two or theee days after her c section.
I’ve had two c sections and the first one I had at 28 lasted a total of 45 minutes from being wheeled in the operating room and being wheeled out. My second one at 37 lasted a little over an hour. That one mainly took a little longer because my blood pressure was high. A 3 hour c section is almost unheard of. I gained 60 pounds with my first and weighed like 200 when I had her and I still looked like I was 5 months pregnant after about a month. If Kenya did hire a surrogate or adopt she could have just admitted that in the beginning. But who knows. I’ve stopped wondering now. Lol
Mine was two hours. Your second one was over one hour but according to some people here cs takes 10 minutes so I guess Kenya, myself and you are lying.
Think about that for a minute.
Even getting a good pedicure takes more than 10 minutes. Lol.
Incredible!!
The 10 minute comment was really related to the actual birthing part of the c-section. I don’t count all the prep and recovery time. I had complications with my first c-section, and really don’t even recall how long I was in the OR after my son was born. Last thing I remember is knowing that I was bleeding everywhere and them trying to get my husband to leave. They knocked me out then. I really think Kenya is including prep and recover time in her three hours. The surgery part of the c-section did not take three hours.
My one and only c-section (4th kid) seemed endless (as you are awake), and when you consider the time it takes for anesthesia, sutures, etc. the 10 minute comment is just wrong. And the post-op period was a while too.
I only wonder about the multiple cuts Kenya references. Maybe that had to do with a mommy makeover. IDK And I was wondering about the Target ride. But you can put on a smile for a photo and still be generally tired/uncomfortable.
I am glad she is happy.
I’m a Kenya fan but something in the buttermilk ain’t clean 👀 She claimed to be in so much pain and everything else but has been to target, a John legend concert and God knows what else, days after giving birth. Wouldn’t she want to rest and bond with her miracle baby and husband?
I still think it’s weird that she hasn’t updated her social media profiles to say she’s a mother but was Quick to let us know that she was a “Married” woman. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not doubting that it’s a baby, I’m just having a hard time believing that Kenya was the one who had the baby.
I had an emergency c-section in 1998.I was only eighteen, but I was afraid to leave the house and couldn’t even get around the house without being in excruciating pain for a month. Was still in pain for months just not horrible.
I think it’s safe to say it’s different for everybody. Obvious, I know, but perhaps worth noting.
Lord Kenyas haters are in rare form today..Never thought I’d be reading them here but anything is possible.
Kudos Kenya..Girl keep them talking and hating..
Haters? Have you every had a 3 hour C-section with multiple cuts then turn around days later to shop at Target? That’s not hate, that’s people using common sense, especially those that have had children via C-section without being considered “high risk” as she was at 47. Kenya’s telling tall tales and getting caught.
She posted in her comments that it was hard getting the baby out due to her fibroids. Her fibroids we’re in the way and she lost a lot of blood due to the complications. It’s wasn’t an average C-section.
My sister had a c section and after being released from the hospital, was hitting up target, Walgreens, and CVS. We tried to talk her out of it but she insisted she was fine. She didn’t take any pain meds either.
Everyone’s bodies are different.
Yeah sure okay, was she also 47 with a high risk pregnancy? I’m sure she was.
She was 33 and planning on natural birth until there were complications during labor and they had to do emergency c section.
The point is, everyone’s bodies are different and that’s an example of someone feeling completely fine against the examples above and below of people feeling like shit and not leaving their house.
Every one of us is different, however keep in mind we’re all going by Kenya’s complaints, NOT our own. Your friend/cousin/sister is NO comparison. At 47 Kenya said she was having a high risk pregnancy, NOT anyone here, after the birth Kenya said her C-section was excruciating, NOT anyone here. People are commenting based on Kenya’s words versus her actions that don’t add up. You must be able to comprehend what people are posting about in order to reply intelligently. Not a soul made up anything about Kenya or said that she couldn’t have gone through what she did, just because. Kenya’s own words and actions don’t make sense at all.
I think people are leaving out the important part to the equation. Everybody’s body and health level are different. Can you imagine if we all were the same? Yikes! Kudos to Kenya. She looks amazing.
On this I think we all agree, we’re not leaving that out, HOWEVER it’s Kenya crying about how excruciating the process has been and all that she went through, people are commenting on her words not some made up theory or guess. When her statements don’t add up, well yeah something’s not right.
Okay. Let her cry. She is not the first and certainly not the last that will post a “look at me” photo. She look amazingly great, she has a beautiful baby and she appears to be happy. For that alone, I wish her well and all the best.
A. She’s a fame whore like any reality TV star, so she’s gonna say some shit to draw attention to herself.
B. You can feel like shit one day and feel fucking fantastic the next
C. I think she had a high risk pregnancy, had a c section ( look at her last pic, looks like a vertical scar up to her belly button) felt like shit, then felt better, went to target 5 days later, posted a good pic where she’s sucking in her tummy and looks damn good. If she had a tummy tuck, good for her – she never confirmed nor denied she did. Her story sounds a okay to me.
You don’t have a flat stomach and wearing a short length pink shirt after 5 days. Sorry, doesn’t make sense. Also, no hospital I’ve ever seen has hardwood floors.
Baylor in Grapevine, Texas has hardwood floors in the rooms.
Lol!! We’re now legitimatizing the birth based on floor decor?!!
The Methodist Hospital in Houston’s Medical Center, you know the largest medical complex in the world, has hardwood floors in the patient’s rooms. Let’s not do this.
I believe Kenya and think she looks great. However, I can see why some are questioning her because some of the things she’s said don’t add up. But we don’t know the full, full story.
I had an emergency csection, walked the whole maternity ward 12 hours later, checked myself.out after 24 hours and walked to my car all because my son was taken to a NICU across town. I never used a wheelchair or scooter. It’s possible to get up and get out when you have to for your little one to do it for. Not everyone needs to be bed ridden just because of a csection
It is possible.
Thankyou. This is insane
I had a 2 hrs c section and was walking and moving around. I was encouraged by my doctors and nurses.
How about single women that have no one to hep them?
How about women in poor countries?
Surrogate!!!!
Well, sounds like someone is fishing for attention. I thought she was happy homemaker now and OMG so private or whatever, but nope. Just waiting to post a photo like this.
I’m trying to like Kenya TT, but dang does she make it hard.
Looking good is the best revenge. Miss Kenya Daly looks stunning! I love seeing her victorious. We could all learn from her. She has been thru HELL on Bravo yet still thrives
Revenge on what? Thankfully women know there’s more to life than looking stunning, as for victorious what did she win? She’s hawking blankets on IG, I guess if that’s thriving many of us are overachievers!
I can’t imagine anyone going to the trouble of staging photos from a hospital bed, but this whole setup with Kenya has been suspicious. Even the photos of her right before she gave birth didn’t look right to me. Her bump was up so high and looked more like a 7 month pregnancy than an almost full term one. My granddaughter-in-law was pregnant at the same time and looked huge – Kenya didn’t. Not to say that some people don’t carry a lot higher and look a lot smaller than usual, maybe that was the case. That certainly doesn’t look like a post-natal tummy, but then again, with Kenya, who knows? I’m very confused., and she has a past history of being less than completely honest.
I agree. Her stomach always looked strange to me. But I also attributed it to her being very fit. She just never looked like she weighed 200 lbs either. Huh.
She stated that she needed a blood transfusion so obviously, with the preeclampsia she had, she had complications so it’s not far fetched that she would have a 3 hour csection. And being cut twice isn’t rare. She could be cut horizontally externally (and internally) and still need a vertical cut internally due to complications. I had an emergency csection and I was told I was lucky that I didnt have to be cut vertically. And I bounced back faster with my csection than I did with my natural birth, mostly because I lost so much blood and fluid. Also, since she worked out so much before hand, I don’t have any reason to doubt her.
Wait, she said she had a blood transfusion? With all of the thanking to Jehovah she does, she had a transfusion? Okay well damn.
Wait, she said she lost a lot of blood, so maybe not, but it wouldn’t uncommon if she did. And she’s no a JW, her grandma was and she was raised that way, but she isn’t.
I’ve known some atheist who asked for prayer when they or a loved one was dying. How does that prove anything. You guys are ridiculous now. What is she supposed to do die on the table and leave the child for someone else to raise? Reaching like a mf.
She has stated that she was raised Jehovah’s Witness, but isn’t a witness. She even has posted photos of her aunt Lisa and herself after attending Kingdom Hall services. So …
With all of the complications she claims to have had (preeclampsia causes major water weight gain), yada yada yada…I’m calling bs. I had a complicated c-section at 24 and was at that age obviously toned as hell, and I still didn’t look normal for a few months. That being said, everyone is different, BUT…as mentioned above, her claims of how she won’t be able to walk for several weeks, then a trip to Target and a concert….c’mon. She needs to at least try to back up her lies.
She looked like she was carrying a LOT of fluid when she was pregnant so when she had the baby that all went. She was super fit pre pregnancy too. She looks amazing
She is a stunningly beautiful woman.
Yes she is and she is a fantastic role model for all young women. She is gorgeous, intelligent, well educated, erudite and hard working.
I’ve had a scheduled c-section that included pulling out a wriggling 10lb baby who was stuck and getting my tubes tied. I was in and out in 45 minutes. They cut me once. This was in a small town hospital in the middle of nowhere, not one of the country’s top facilities.
I also lost 28lbs within 2 weeks of giving birth, and I’d only gained 24 during the pregnancy. Nursing, and just being way more active after being on bed rest for 7 weeks, it was great.
I’ve also had a tummy tuck (kind of, basically I had breast cancer reconstruction surgery that uses tissue from that area). I couldn’t stand completely upright for 3 weeks. I also had liposuction done on that area a few months later in order to harvest some fat for a follow up procedure. The lipo was a much quicker recovery, and since I don’t have fat calls in that part of my body anymore, my upper abdomen right below my chest tends to be the area that bloats when I gain weight. It looks odd compared to the rest of my midsection.
Sorry — Off topic.
JEN. Would you track me down on Facebook messenger (Dana Kath.). I’m curious about what you said about your reconstruction. It’s something I have considered, but haven’t done.
It’s called DIEP flap, there is a great support group on FB for people who have had or are considering it. Good luck with whatever you decide!
Thanks
My sister had it done, very remarkable surgery, I was there to help, amazing waking up with a tummy tuck and a new beautiful breast, I was truly impressed (as was she…) I’d do it if ever I wanted, my sister is not the best patient but her outcome was so impressive, highly recommend imo…sorry TT
This does not surprise me because Kenya was always into fitness and working out, so her body easily snapped back. My cousin is a personal trainer, always in great shape, and she snapped right back after having her kids. So this isn’t questionable to me.
Hmm a c section can take time. I’ve had two myself (I’m preg with my third) and my first was an emergency C section so they had to act quickly- yeah the actual cut and taking the baby takes 10 mins, but I was rolled into the OR at 7:30, my daughter wasn’t born until 9:09, and I was out of the OR around 10:30. My second was a planned c section, I was rolled into the OR at 11:30 and my son was born at 12:56, and I was done being stitched up just before 2. The time definitely varies even though it feels like a whirlwind!!!
I think her pose and camera angle is super flattering plus didn’t she work out all her pregnancy anyway?
I don’t know shit about C-sections, high bumps or anything else to do with pregnancy so sorry for not joining in on the conspiracy theories if that’s what you’re looking for out of this TT.
She looks good but she’s not THAT small. The top she’s wearing is grabbing a whole load of back fat, she’s turned to the side so her love handles aren’t on show and she’s sucking her tummy in. It’s not so much a snap back as it is a half decent angle and the ability to hold ones breath.
That being said, where’s the bandages from the section? I would have thought she’d still be all stitched up? 🤷♂️
Ps. I realise I probably am a complete douche commenting on her figure. I do honestly think she looks good… even with a bit of the weight left on her.
I just don’t understand what y’all think she’s supposed to look like at this point? It’s almost like “how dare she not have the same sized baby bump”… 3 weeks after the kid has been born.
My point was after 5 days you look slightly less pregnant; no one bounces back that quick no matter how toned you are.
Not true. My best friend was back to a flat stomach a few weeks after her baby. She was also 21 and to my knowledge didn’t weigh 200lbs so yeah that doesn’t apply to every one but neither do sweeping statements such as yours.
Say she had a mommy makeover whilst in hospital as many of you have theorized… what of it? She put a big “LOL” after her snap back comment. I don’t think she was trying to put anyone down. She might have even been joking with those in the know that she had weight loss surgery (if that is the case).
Whatever the reason, some of you (not you) are getting awfully heated over a womans body after labour and I’m not here for that kind of fuckery. I like your opinions on the whole Spunky and respect your right to hold yours on this article and I’m gonna leave it at that.
Not after 5 days was my point. It was major surgery. Geez
Maybe not after five days, but this picture was posted 3 weeks post surgery.
@BeachBoy
Yeah I don’t know where the 5 days thing is coming from either. Am I missing something and this taken 5 days after her section? 😅
According to Kenya it was taken three weeks later, on the day it was posted. Where apparently despite not being able to work out and having lots of painful partsand leaky boobs she pulled on tight exercise clothes to post for a photo.
If she had a c section at the bikini line they were probably dissolvable stitches.
Ah, I see, thanks for the input 😊
Plus the incision is way lower, you can’t usually see it unless you’re being shown a whole lot more.
I’m actually shocked that so many people care what a women looks like not even a month from giving birth to a preemie. If I’m being honest yeah my stomach got pretty flat really quick after giving birth but I could care less I was just so grateful my baby was alive and healthy.
That’s just it, most of us mothers DON”T care and find it surprising that this is something Kenya would focus on? All the crocodile tears about wanting a man and a baby, her fans bought hook line and sinker. Now she’s posting about a snap back, shopping and hawking blankets? Nope couldn’t be me! I was totally into each of my children to the point that the world could’ve exploded around us, as long as my husband was safe with us I was good.
@OhDearMe
You do care, and it’s eating you alive that she looks so good! And it’s eating you alive that your hatred for this woman has not change a thing in her life. It’s eating you alive that despite your hatred she seems to be rising above it all.
You care so much, you’re responding to EVERY post in here with positive things about Kenya.
Kenya is not most women. She’s a celebrity and their figure is important. Most celebrity post these ‘snap back’ pics. Why shouldn’t kenya?
This is almost a month after giving birth people!! It’s not impossible!!
Water gained from pre- eclampsia is lost pretty quickly once the baby is born.
Omg!! Kenya keep winning girl!!
Nope.
I agree!
I guess I really don’t care if she carried the baby, rented the baby, had someone else carry the baby. She looks good, seems happy, and has a delightful bundle of joy. Mazel tov, Kenya!
Why lie about it? That’s all, why lie? I’m beginning to think Bravo knew a little more than we think they did.
I know what lies? Just intelligent observations.
What did Kenya lie about? Could you bet your life or your kids lives that Kenya lied?
I had my twins by C-section and my doctor cut an artery she couldn’t find. I was on
the operating table 4 hours after my babies were born with 2 blood transfusions. Now with
that said, I was also in very good shape prior and definitely did not bounce back that fast, even
with my singleton pregnancy
C-section was one hour, postpartum liposuction( that is all the rage) was 2 hours= 3 hours
Tamera, when you feel like it, I would really love to read your take on all of this. I know you’ve been a loyal fan of Kenya’s, so I would love to know your take on the surgery, outings and snap back.
The negative Nellies, and those who can no longer see their toes whilst standing up are in full form today. Lots of people who think they know, and their knowledge is all speculative.
Yes a woman can have a 3 hour c-section, especially if it’s a complicated pregnancy and she needed blood transfusion, as in Kenya’s case.
Yes Kenya grew up as a Jevovah witness, but is she practising? One can be from a faith and choose to not follow all the norms of that faith/religion.
Yes, it’s possible that Kenya look fit after a mere 3 weeks post-birth, because she was very active and physically fit before pregnancy. It’s called muscle memory. I’ve seen patients and friends who gave birth and was skinnier after giving birth than prior to birth.
If Kenya has tummy tuck/liposuction as some of you claim, she would be 1) wearing a compression pants or underwear to reduce the inflammation 2) she wouldn’t be up and about so quickly 3) the results are not so instant.
And why is it so easy to believe that she just had a tummy tuck and cesarean and would be up and about, but y’all can’t believe she just gave birth and is out and about?
It’s very clear from such passionate comments, the people who are active and fit, and those who are not. And it’s clear from some of these comments, that sometimes we should not speak on what we do not know.
Well I’m a runner two miles a day, 5’10” and 135 pounds, I see my knees ankles and toes from every angle. SO let’s get to it! People are commenting based on the “claims” that Kenya made, we didn’t make them up! It’s not being negative, it’s called fact checking. If you proclaim a faith thanking Jehovah for all of your blessing yet don’t follow the faith, you’re fake AF, point blank period! LOL now if you’re saying (which really is your ONLY option here), don’t remember the statements Kenya herself made, then okay. But not a soul has to hate on her or make up what she herself put out here because as I said in my post, at 47 going through a high risk pregnancy (her words not mine) I wouldn’t GAF what anyone thought about a snap back, I would be bonding with my first born miracle baby 24/7! The thing is she’s not, UNLESS the apple didn’t fall far from the tree! The very thing/person you claim to despise you turn out to be just like them. lol Long story short your girl shouldn’t lie so much, there’s so many holes in her story it could substitute swiss cheese! LOL have a great evening folks.
@OhDearMe
You sound very envious, and it’s eating you alive.
You’re so full of envy and hatred that can’t stand yourself LOL
You’re like a mad woman responding to every post with someone positive to say about Kenya.
Nene is this you? Are you having one of your mental breakdown like you did on IG last month? No longer the Queen B huh?
Sadly you think Kenya has something to be jealous of, it shows how little you must think of yourself. Nasty skin, a liar and more, yet you’re impressed. Thank you for the laugh on this cold evening! People never realize how much they tell about themselves, poor thing.
Nasty skin? 🤔
Ummmm you don’t remember why she was called “Oatmeal cream pie face” by Phaedra? She has horrible skin.
I don’t, but I’ll take your word for it. I’ve always thought she has quite nice skin.
Her personality on the other hand has seemed quite nasty at times.
@OhDearMe
And you’re telling a lot about yourself.
I bet it’s an extra cold night for you.
You’re getting personal about someone who hasn’t done a thing. To you. So what if she lies, why are you so invested, and so upset?
Why are you so bothered about a liar with nasty skin.
Why are you so unhappy?
I guess since you couldn’t bounce back that means no one on earth could have bounced back too?
Btw staying in the operating room for four hours means that you’re lying… according to the commenters here.😒
Isn’t the whole point of posting a photo like that for Nellies? Why else would she post this?
So true. Kenya was super fit before pregnancy. A lot of these comments just come off as pure jealousy.
I don’t see any difference between her snap back and Bethenny Frankel’s after she had Bryn. If she is breastfeeding that would also account for part of it. People being angry because she posted a selfie showing herself happy with her postpartum body make absolutely no sense to me. Who the fuck cares? If you think she is somehow lying about any of this, again, I ask WHO THE FUCK CARES? It isn’t hurting you, it isn’t your body, it isn’t your baby. She finally has everything that she wanted and is basking in the happiness of that. Why go out of your way to make it something ugly when it doesn’t concern you in any way?
If it doesn’t concern us in any way, then why did she post it? And why are you talking about it?
Seriously, when I came across this IG – all I thought was – Cool, Kenya is so happy! She has a new life, looking at her life from 365 days ago – to what it is right now, what an awesome epiphany to have and enjoy.
Right? Why not just let her enjoy her happiness? What I find interesting is that it is always other mothers who are so quick to drag, shade, and say downright ugly things about new moms online. I love the internet but this mommy shaming bullshit is just ridiculous.
Okay, I’ll call bullish!t!
Actually, I give zero effs if she had a mommy makeover on the table or not…what I do have a problem with is for someone to make it seem like they miraculously snapped back into shape without any effort. If that was her natural metabolism, then okay, but she was not a tiny woman to begin with.
I’ll be in the window licking section if you need me.
I hope not. You owe me a rematch from our last spat 😜 joke joke!!
The thing for me is if she did have a mommy makeover after the c section it certainly isn’t a “snapback” either. Aren’t snapbacks supposed to be what your body itself “snapbacked” into on its own?
We need you Jr!
I had a c-section two weeks ago (my second) and my uterus has not fully gone down to normal and in still puffy. Also, I’m on pain meds so I have that pill bloat plus constipation. So I find it highly unlikely that she looks like this so quickly after birth. C-sections typically take about 10 mins after your spinal kicks in. Unless she is claiming she tried vaginal for a few hours prior to them going the c-section route.
Congratulations!
Yes, congratulations! Mommy’s bodies have their own timeline for healing and recovery. I hope you and all the other new moms here feel no outside pressure to “rebound” back to prepregnancy body, if ever, you just “did that”!
I am sorry but I think that is an old picture. Yes,you can bounce back but with c-section you can’t exercise for 6 weeks and no way you get your six pack back that quickly. I may be wrong but I am not buying.
i have 4 kids. nobody loses that much weight in 3 weeks she would not be able to work out afterwards either, and she looks thinner than she was before she got pregnant. i’m gonna guess surrogate especially at 47. but as long as her and her husband are happy power to her.
Hmmm, let me think about that one! So you think she faked a pregnancy wearing a belly falsie, had a surrogate and now bounced back so quickly? Could this be true? It would take a lot of planning and effort to pull that off, Interesting
Who gives a shit really? Can’t you all just be happy for her ? My God.
I am happy for Kenya. The “I’m so snatched after baby” seems immature though. I expect more awe and humility from a mom of her age and intellect. Wishing her well. Can’t wait to see the pictures of baby she will likely sell to the highest bidder. I’ll buy the mags.
Is there a great shirt shortage in Atlanta that news media hasn’t covered? Why is she always shirtless?
she’s had some kind of “help” to look like that. i don’t know if she used a surrogate and everything was a lie or if she had some kind of surgery during the c-section or if it’s all just photoshopped, but something is amiss here.
this whole “snapback” phenomenon needs to end. women have enough pressure on themselves without having to look f*ckable and sexy three weeks after giving birth.
Hmmmm……….
Isn’t that her bedroom in Atlanta?
How do we know this picture isn’t from before she got pregnant?
I just don’t get the need to brag about it – kinda body shames those who don’t “snap back” right away. Why is she already in work out gear? 3 weeks after major surgery? That can’t be recommended.
And just like that… you probably have more comments on this post than you did on your previous 3 RHOA Recap posts.
How are we all so sure this isn’t a throwback type of photo pre baby? especially with the LOL. Some girls are super lucky and bounce back quick, but there is also social media where we can show what we want people to see and think.
Queen Kenya looks great, and even better than that. A whole lot of jealous no good skanks are going to be jealous as hell. I don’t care how she snapped back so quick. Like I said. I’m just glad she did. suck it up butter cup. The Queen is throne ready, already. POINT BLANK and PERIOD!*
I just had a c section 2 months ago. First of all, I took about 30 mins from start to finish. Second, I wasnt allowed to exercise for about 4- 6 weeks (besides walking). I was also advised to not do strong core workouts or overzealous workouts for at least 10-12 weeks. Those muscles are weak and need time to repair. I suspect a tummy tuck…..
I doubt she had any “mommy makeover” after an emergency c-section delivery. No anesthesiologist or surgeon should be comfortable dealing with sky high blood pressures and edema related to pre eclampsia…
I had preeclampsia with both of mine and had sections with both. Even getting my tubes tied after the second added in, it took about 15-20 mins. If she’s adding in from when you check in until delivery, yes that could be 3 hours, but never heard of such a thing for just the section. Also this makes me angry….I’ve suffered greatly (endo, adhesions, hysterectomy, vaginal cuff rupture, etc) since my second child. I’ve had 7 surgeries in less than 3 years and not once did my stomach look like this…..especially just 3 weeks after major surgery. I just don’t believe that anyone bounces back like this from being cut in half.
You shouldn’t be angry though. Her experiences and yours are totally different. I’m sorry for all that you had to go through truly, however, Kenya Moore has also suffered…a great deal. Let’s not minimize or criticize another woman’s experience. I have no idea what Kenya did but damn it I want to know so I can do it too when the time comes. Wishing you all the best.
I think a book about how to lose sixty pounds in three weeks with no exercise and mostly on bedrest would be a New York Times Best Seller! I’d like to do that! I have the no excercise and bedrest part down pretty well, but clearly I am missing the crucial element of this transformation.
Lol TT. It can’t be can it? And if it is so, why lie about it? I’m going to make a few enquiries. I love her all the same and I especially love that she found her partner in crime. She did say Marc is Clyde to her Bonnie. 🤔👀
I’m sorry let me clarify. I’m angry at these women, who are in the public eye, flaunting that it is a good thing to have a “perfect” body just 3 weeks after a major surgery. I am happy for Kenya to finally have her dream baby, no matter how she got it!
Currently recovering from my second C-section… had my son 16 days ago today. My surgery was about an hour long 10 minutes to get the baby… The rest was spent removing a tumor on my ovaries. I would’ve needed surgery to get the tumor out anyway so I was happy to get two for the price of one… I’ve always loved a bargain. I asked my Dr for a tummy tuck while she was in there but no luck!
Oh Good Lord. The woman is happy.
It’s simple Kenya was in shape before she got pregnant.
Gosh some of these comments. Why are some of you so bothered? Especially the commenters responding to every comment lol. Does anyone remember when Heidi Klum walked the Victoria’s Secret fashion show 3 weeks after her c section? Everyone’s different, I don’t understand the negativity, even people upset at Kenya for having a blood transfusion, should she of bled out and died to make you happy? Kenya dancing during her pregnancy was a red flag… wtf are pregnant women not allowed to dance? Seriously, these comments say more about the commenters then they do Kenya. It’s actually quite embarrassing
I’ve pretty much gotten over the RH franchise, but I am genuinely happy for Kenya. I tried for 8 years to get pregnant, lost the first baby at 6 years in at 12 weeks, then waited another 2 years to finally have my baby girl, then never was able to get pregnant again (horrible endometriosis), then ended up with a complete hysterectomy. I hope she and her fella and their new baby live happily ever after. I don’t care if the photo is “doctored” or if she’s feeling well enough to work out hard or anything – just happy she finally got her dream come true.
I haven’t had children so I know nothing about c-sections however when I drop my lineage, I hope Kenya Moore Daly has written a book by then so I can be hip to whatever mama did. She looks phenomenal! Kenya is The Bobby Fisher of RHOA, I am exhausted trying to figure her out LOL 😉 Go ‘head wit’ your bad self Miss Moore. TT the picture you chose is spot on LOL, that damn smirk 😀
Okay, here goes my C-section story. 1979, 21 years old, excellent physical condition. I had pre-eclampsia and a bladder infection. I was on bed rest but my water broke six weeks early. My OB was on vacation. When I got to the hospital, they had a problem finding the baby’s heartbeat, his arm was stuck in the birth canal and took me straight to surgery. Before they put me under they asked my permission to allow med students to observe and also warned me I might wake up at a different hospital. I was cut vertically and when I woke up, a nurse pressed down on my fresh incision and put me into shock. I was in there for over four hours, including recovery. They released me after 5 days (after proving to my doc that I could jog to the nursery and back with no problem) and we stopped at the grocery store. I admit it was a bit much for me but I soldiered on. My belly was jelly for a good month but my mom brought me one of her super spanxy old Lycra girdles and that helped a lot. I went in at 160 and came out at 130. It was ungodly painful for the first 3 days. That baby is now a 6’5” brainiac who makes me proud every day. Worth every damn bit of it!
I may be totally wrong, but I took the first sentence of Kenya’s post as her being tongue-in-cheek and funny…poking good-natured fun at others who say they’ve snapped back 20 minutes after giving birth. The pic may be a pre-pregnancy pic, also posted in good fun. If so, I love her sense of humor!
I have absolutely no comment or opinion about how long a C-section takes. I know next to nothing about birthing babies.
I hadn’t thought about that since she is so sassy.
Harlan, that this really the only thing that makes sense. Because you don’t drop 50 or 60 pounds in three weeks.
Harlan has to be on to something because we all remember those feet a few days prior to delivery. I believe this is pre pregnancy as well.
Playing devils advocate I had a c section with my second. I was back in my size 4’s by 3 weeks. I was definitely not defined or toned. I was also 26 years old and only gained 26 pounds with that pregnancy. I think my first pregnancy (50 pounds and a nose that spread across my entire face) scared me straight so I behaved more in my second. Not once did I mix up a batch of brownie batter to eat straight from the bowl, The first I retained lots of water but not as much as Kenya. I wasn’t diagnosed with preeclampsia. It took a long time for all of that to go away. Usually in the form of waking up with sheets drenched in “sweat”. That went on for weeks and it took a year of faithful step aerobics to get anywhere near pre pregnancy weight or body! This has to be tongue in cheek!
That looks like a Mamaroo in the background to me.
Source: had a Mamaroo
I had a c section. Still have loose skin and a little pooch and that was 5 years ago. You cannot excersize for 6 weeks after one so I have no idea how she looks like this….. hmmmm
And a c section does NOT take 3 hours try maybe 45 mins. If that. Or maybe up to an hour. Something is weird about this whole thing.
To quote Kyle, “YOURE SUCH A FUCKING LIAR CAMILLE!”
Tamera I don’t believe I violated your TOS, however my comments are being held? Please advise, thanks.
You were responding to every single comment saying the exact same thing over and over making unnecessary work for me.
Thanks for responding! lol
I have had 3 sections. In this country, incisions are horizontal unless it is an emergency then the incision is vertical. The first section is easy peasy. I was in and out of the operating room in less than 45 minutes. That’s everything – spinal, prep, cut open, sew shut, monitor vitals. Subsequent sections can take longer because the doctor has to cut through scar tissue, but maybe an extra 5 minutes for that. I was told I couldn’t do a tummy tuck at the same time because the anesthesia used doesn’t last long enough for both procedures. She is saying stuff that someone who imagines what it would be like to have a c-section would say. Also, nobody snaps back that fast after a section. Your muscles were literally cut, I have never seen a woman not have a mother’s apron after a section, no matter how skinny.
Kenya’s fibroids may have lengthened her c-section time. Her vertical abdominal incision is visible in the photo. There are several other marks on her abdomen that be from liposuction. I think the photo is photoshopped. Most women that have had C-sections cannot tolerate any kind of waistband touching their healing incision. Not sure why she even posed, planned, and altered a pic like that- she should be concentrating on enjoying the bliss bubble that comes with a new babe.
I agree about the waistband and the leggings in general. Not something you would be lounging around the house during the winter in post childbirth or not. There is no way to see a vertical incision on her tummy there is not the right angle for that and it would be way more obvious if it were there.
I think she was joking and the post was not made to be taken seriously and it was a older photoshopped photo.
Again, you don’t lose 50+ pounds on three week of bedrest and exercise restrictions.
Yes, women can lose weight or look as Kenya just after giving birth. I’ve seen it. And this is very common for women who were active prior to pregnancy. I can think of 5 current post partum clients, one I saw on Monday, and her skin, body and stomach have “bounced back” and does not appear as a woman who was ever pregnant.
And the photo is of course a post natal photo, as you can see, her stomach is very dark, much so than the rest of her body, this is a sign of cholasma or melasma, the prenatal photos she posted also showed chloasma, hyperpigmentation of the skin.
Are your clients 47 years old who have gained over fifty pound in their pregnancies? How can you diagnose hyper pigmentation when you haven’t seen her stomach before pregnancy because IT HAS ALWAY BEEN THAT DARK?
I’m doubting your credentials if you think someone who has gained that much weight can lose it all in three weeks after “a horrifically hard c section and “very difficult recovery” on bed rest….except for a John Legend concert and a trip to target.
Tamara,
You claim to like Kenya, but like all the other blogs who say terrible things about her, you’re messy. Look at the your dangerous insinuations. You’re also responsible for her the issues she had with Bravo. You also implied she wasn’t really married. You also implied she wasn’t really pregnant. You’re a terrible person. You live in the bottom of the barrel with the likes of all the reality stars that you think you’re morally superior to. There is no difference between you or Nene or Sheree.
stick to what you know. Past teacher/professor with terrible grammar
You really would have been a great candidate for my remedial reading classes. I’m not sure you could ever move on to learning critical thinking skills though. I shocks me how many people go through the world without questioning things, or in your case simply comprehending things.
What I do not comprehend is emojis. And I believe that Kenya was just fucking with us. But if you think you can lose 60 pounds in three weeks on bedrest, there is nothing I can do for you.
Welcome to the site anyway. I’d suggest you read the commenting rules though, if you’d like to comment here in the future. But I am not sure you have the intelligence level of my long term commenters.
On her Instagram Kenya posted 3 pics like the above photo and it is easier to zoom in on the belly and see her healing incision. Regardless- fast postpartum weight loss is neither typical nor particularly healthy. Not sure what Kenya was going for with those pics but it seems kind of shady.
That pic is definitely a throwback.
230 comments later, y’all have proven that Kenya is a star!! No one’s talking about RHOA or any of the cast, but y’all are sure talking about Ms. Moore, and that’s why Nene is in here as OhDearMe acting like a crazy bat exposed to light.
Nah Marie, I beg to differ. OhDear has some good opinions. This time I don’t agree but I’m not here for that “Hey Nene” shit either
Her opinions are aligned to yours, but that doesn’t make them “good”.
The woman like Nene is going batshit crazy about the birth of a baby. It takes a special kind of evil to be so angry about the birth of a child.
And since we’re all speculating in here, it’s safe to speculate one crazy + one crazy woman = Nene
And just because they’re not alligned to yours doesn’t make her Lenithia Leakes
Kenya’s probably having the last laugh with this..it is photoshopped and may even be an old picture for all we know.
For some reason I don’t believe Kenya was ever pregnant where is her naked belly picture. all of these Housewives and celebrities love to display their pregnant stomach their baby stomach on the IG. Kenya has never posted her baby bump picture. I don’t think she was ever pregnant. I believe she hired a surrogate I guess we should ask Kandi or Cynthia. I’m sure they touched her belly at some point to know if it was real pregnancy or not
There was a photo of Kandi touching the bump in an airport.
If you recall, Beyonce had the same situation with Blue Ivy.
Who is Kenya’s idol?
It’s perplexing.
There have been things that don’t add up from day one. “We will welcome a boy or a girl by the end of the year!” It took her months to say she was pregnant.
Then she had the easiest pregnancy of a life time.
Then she had ultrasounds with her maiden name.
But who would stage a photo with her husband in a hospital?
The bump always seemed super high and oddly shaped.
She showed a scale with her over 200 pounds. (that is no longer on her site)
A photo of swollen feet. Could be anyone’s feet at the time I google preeclampsia feet and found not match btw.
No of any of this makes sense.
The John Legend concert?
She did look fat on the Target scooter…
I’ve gone back and forth in my head on this for months, I never wanted to make any sort of allegation against someone about this.
The dramatic staged photos outside a fertility clinic in the islands.
None of it has ever made sense to me.
But I’ve lost 60 pounds in three weeks while on bedrest after a horrible delivery that was a c section, there were fibroids (don’t remember hearing about them during the pregnancy) the oddly staged “filming a TV show” all of it just seems sketchy AS FUCK to me.
Does anyone here believe if Kenya was pregnant she would not have tons of baby bump photos?
Did you see how ginormous she was during her ridiculous Beyonce (also used a surrogate) shower? And how high she was “carrying”
She is 47 and can pop over to Target to shop when the baby comes out as a preemie when it was full term, she gained a million pound and the baby wasn’t even six pounds?
There is so much about this shit that does not make any fucking sense even if you are a Kenya fan. We’ve yet to see a naked baby bump, or her even holding a baby that was not fully covered including hands and feet.
THERE I OPENED MY TRAP ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?
I am relating the story someonewhere else and realize I should probably confess. I was invited to Kenya’s housewarming which was filmed. As you know I have no desire to be on camera or take selfies or any of that crap. But I appreciated the invitation and sent her a white orchid which she included on her IG. She killed it and told me she was not good with flowers or orchids.
That purple orchid in her bedroom in the photo would have had to have lasted two years. Not with Kenya. Also that is a photo of her Atlanta bedroom but there are no windows, it’s all whited out. Here bedroom has a ton of windows. It’s all photoshopped. THESE ARE JUST SOME OF THE THINGS I HAVE KEPT TO MYSELF.
Everything with her is smoke & mirrors. That’s why I was GLAD she was gone for RHOA. I’d love for the show to get back to being more authentic like it was in the beginning. 🤷🏻♀️ But I’m old school Real Housewives. 🙂 And I know that if you are in shape before your pregnancy, you won’t get as big. She said 60 lbs which is what I gained with my son. I had a flat tummy after my emergency c-section ONLY because I had a tummy tuck done in December 2006, he was born in November 2010. My prior tummy tuck actually made popping back easier in the tummy area. But my face and body still had 50 lbs on it after his birth. Kenya just lies and lies and lies.
Bump always seemed very high, right up to the end and the snap back photo is ridiculous. Her and her husband might have been at the hospital when the surrogate delivered. ALLEGEDLY
I read somewhere that Kandi got a tummy tuck right after her csection. Kenya most likely did the same and that explains the 3 hours. I had a tummy tuck and after a week or so I was taking pics like that to show my progress. But you never know with Kenya.
