First of all, Chelsea Meissner has found the one! It appears that things with that hunky sailor she has been spending all of her time with, 32-year-old Volvo Ocean racer Nick Dana, has captured her heart. The former Survivor contestant and dare-devil is rumored to be engaged. I can’t blame her a bit. She certainly needs to lock this one down. They spent a lot of time on the ocean together in between Southern Charm filming seasons. Nick is a professional yacht racer from Rhode Island. They seem like a perfect match and I really hope the rumors are true because King Street is certainly talking about these two.
If spending months on the ocean racing boats with the hot guy of your dreams was not enough, Chelsea also has a new dream house.
Chelsea has been banking her Southern Charm checks and living off her hair salon money since coming on the show. Now she also has quite a few sponsorships on Instagram and I’m not talking about flat belly tea kind of crap. She has followed in the footsteps of Kenya Moore and had a lot of her high-end appliances and tiles sponsored in exchange for IG posts and other sites like me drooling over her designs.
I think we can all agree we covet that ocean tile in the kitchen and the $3,000 orange SMEG refrigerator and other SMEG appliances in her kitchen. Well done Chelsea.
Check out all the pics from the PROFESSIONAL PHOTO SHOOT here. Because the t he house professional photo shoot worthy because it is AMAZING. The photographer, who is amazing, is Jillian Guyette. Chelsea’s friend, Kimberly Spradlin Wolfe winner of Survivor One World (2012) was her interior designer. Chelsea met Kim when they were on Survivor together.
Here is an excerpt from the photographer’s site about her major renovation of the property.
I’m sure to some degree this was a learning experience for you both, having never worked together in this way. What was your favorite moment during the process?
Kim: This is a really easy question for me to answer. I think anyone who knows Chelsea knows that she has incredible taste. You can see it in the way she dresses and carries herself, it’s totally effortless. There were times throughout the process of the renovation where I felt like she really was doubting herself. It was like she wasn’t trusting that what she chose or picked out was going to look great… or wouldn’t be good enough. Then towards the end, as things were really coming together, I could see that she was almost surprised with how well her selections had turned out! It gave her a lot of confidence to see it become a reality. I think that’s a confidence she’ll carry in similar situations from now on.
Chelsea: My favorite moment was when Kim and her sister, Beth came to help with final touches for our photoshoot. There were so many “holy shit, we did this!” moments. I don’t know if I’ve ever felt more empowered, not only by my new home, but by the women surrounding me.
So to recap, gorgeous man, spectacular house, happy disposition… the girl has it all. I wonder if we will see Kim on the season finishing up her house. She bought the house in April so it was probably finished by the time filming started. Fingers crossed that we will see Nick this season though. It would be great to see genuine relationship on the show. Frankly, I’ll be happy with just the house.
