I’m two episodes behind on this show so I am going to try to catch up now in an attempt to pry myself away from election coverage. I don’t know why we have two Bravo shows on election night. They will probably do really well for people looking for absolutely anything else to watch.
Maci
Why is Mackenzie on my TV? Ryan’s parents want to get Bentley into private school. Ryan’s mom says Ryan has money put away for this purpose. Does that sound like Ryan to you? In fact, all of the children on these shows have education funds separate from their parents earnings for college. Ryan has nothing to do with that. In real time, Maci just bought a VERY nice house in Tennessee. I wonder if she moved farther away from Ryan’s grandparents? Later, when Bentley spends a weekend with his grandparents they encourage him to visit the private school. Bentley tells Maci he wants to go to private school and she explains how expensive private school is.
Maci talks to Taylor about Jen and Larry pushing private school on Bentley. It’s a lot of money and if they start it with Bentley, then the other kids are going to have the same expectation.
Ryan has gone into an intensive 90 day rehab. Mackenzie and his parents make it seem like he is very positive and optimistic about treatment. He will miss the birth of the baby. They need to tell Bentley.
Catelynn
Oh for fucksake! Can’t Tyler ever have a few days where no one is on drugs on in rehab in his immediate family? Now his sister has gone off some sort of drug fueled rampage and torn up Catelynn and Tyler’s old house. They have thrown her off the property and she is not happy about it.
When Tyler goes to see the damage to the house there is all manner of crap in the yard, a fire pit in the back yard next to a pile of old tires, and a sign on the door stating that the house is uninhabitable. There is also a large broken window. This is going to be expensive to fix.
Nova wants to only have Catelynn give her a bath and tend to her and is throwing a flinger because Tyler wants to do it. Nova’s attitude makes perfect sense to me, her mother leaves for long periods of time and she wants all the time she can get with her before she takes off again. But for some reason, probably because it is Carly’s birthday, everyone is kind of pissy and Tyler doesn’t want to reward her tantrum.
Carly is 9 now it seems she is starting to figure out who she is and that Tyler and Catelynn are on Teen Mom. It sounds like she is having a difficult time with it. Her parents don’t want Tyler and Catelynn to visit for a while. I can understand that. But Tyler, this is the one thing that sends him into a rage. It is his hot button. He feels like he should be able to see Carly whenever he wants.
Bristol
Bristol seems to think she is already divorced. I’m not so sure about that. She’s found a new place to live and is packing up all of her stuff. She seems to think everything is her stuff.
I hate these conversations with Dakota. Bristol has purchased tickets for the girls to go with her to Alaska for her sister’s wedding. The wedding is on Dakota’s week. And here we go… Even when they agree on stuff they bicker.
Later, Dakota throws out the first pitch at a minor league game. It went straight over the plate. They also announce him as a war hero. He tells his friend later it makes him uncomfortable when he gets recognition because he is a failure. He needs some intense therapy and his self image breaks my cold black heart. He also feels like a failure because of the divorce.
Dakota called Bristol late at night to let her know his house in Kentucky was broken into and it was “the stalker.” The stalker is some mental case that has been threatening and harassing the Palins ever since Sarah ran for Vice President. That is just awful. Maybe he will get locked up for good now. I am amazed Dakota didn’t shoot him. It sounds like Dakota might not have been home. He was on the surveillance video. He may still be on the loose. Yep he is. Dakota calls with an update to say that the local police, the FBI and the Secret Service are involved and hunting for the stalker. They fight about how to prepare for the stalker.
Cheyenne
Apparently, Cory and Cheyenne’s baby has some rare disease and it is time for her to get a check-up. It sounds like she is improving a bit.
Zach and Cheyenne had another huge fight. Zach’s mouth got reckless and he has some kissing up to do. After a few days apart he stops by her place to talk. The conversation was awkward and I don’t think Cheyenne knows what she wants. She should probably just get with Cory, who seems shockingly responsible, and make it a family. Instead, she tells Cory than she got back together with Zach. Cory says he feels like during the time that they were broken up, the bond between him and their daughter got stronger.
Amber
I almost did a post on Amber last night. She’s losing her mind on Twitter again and talking about quitting Teen Mom. Apparently after the most recent episode, it seems like people were commenting on how lazy she is.
The party continues at Amber’s AirBnB in LA. Now that Leah and Gary and that family is gone, she flew in her brother and his wife(?) and kid.
Apparently, Andrew’s parents don’t want to be filmed for the show. Amber mentioned that they were visiting with his family.
On the way back from LA Amber and Andrew want to stop by and see Leah before heading to the house. This doesn’t seem like an Amber Idea to me. It sounds like production telling them to stop by the house because something is going down.
What is going on is that Gary’s wife had an ectopic pregnancy. She had her tubes tied and the fetus developed in her Fallopian tube. My brain is trying to figure out how this works. I’ve decided I really don’t want to think about it. Especially because when Christina and Gary tell Amber about it we find out that she heard the baby’s heartbeat. Amber says she never told anyone but she had a miscarriage when she was with Matt.
Ah, Amber continues to talk about her miscarriage to the cameras. She seems to be making Christina’s miscarriage about her. Also, Andrew seems to always have the baby. This must be what all the backlash is about.
Literally four people on this episode shared sad stories about miscarriages. UGH. Can I just send blanket sympathies to any of you who have miscarried and skip the comments with all the sad stories? Please? Thank you.
lol, I enjoyed your post so much. I actually find Bristol and Cheyenne”s story lines really boring, so I fast forward thru them. I didn’t think Mac was going to appear on the show anymore, or so I was hoping so I wasn’t happy to see her. I would think his parents should talk to Maci first about how she might want to be involved in talking to Bentley about his dad, why they always want to leave her out is crazy, but it reminds me of the time when Ryan, Mac were sitting outside with his mom and dad, it was a time after Ryan got out (early) of rehab and his father made a comment about knowing something about Maci but didn’t go into any further and I keep wondering what this might be so if you or anyone else on here remembers that happening and knows what he was talking about maybe they can enlighten me. Amber does seem a little lazy she seems to always either be laying in bed with baby, or laying on couch and andrew has baby. So who knows what is going on but at least she isn’t beating on Andrew, that was a terrible time. I wish Tyler and Cait, would take a break from family because it is just one thing after another being dumped on them, and I bet it is draining on their bank accounts as well. I can only imagine how hard it would be to go from having a yearly visit with Carley to no visit, they were young but smart enough to know what was right, but still wanted to be able to have some kind of visitation, or contact which is good, alot of people that put a baby up for adoption have no contact and when the child is alot older it searches out the parent and then they have to explain why they gave the child up, at least with Tyler and Cait, they are involved so Carley will understand what and why they did what they did, with the understanding that they love her and want to be some kind of part of her life. But they really need to get rid of the family crap that’s for sure. Good luck on the election. ; )
On several occasions, Ryan’s father Larry, when angry, has alluded to the fact that they have some dirt on Maci. The last time was at the reunion.
I’m a recovering alcoholic (26 yrs) and I’ve seen a lot of shit over the years. They’re enabling of Ryan is really very extreme; it’s amazing he’s still alive. I’m really not exaggerating. I’ve tried to find empathy because dealing with addicts sucks but they lost me when they placed their adult son needs over their grandson. Now they want Bentley to go a private school near where they live but they didn’t first discuss it with Maci as it appropriate. Instead, they cross every kind of boundary and push the idea on the child first. Wth? They’re not concerned about the other THREE kids or the logistical nightmare for Maci and her husband every morning. What selfish move-we see where Ryan gets it from.
And the word on the curb is that Macis youngest might be Ryan’s. Allegedly. That’s what the streets seem to think Larry is holding back from saying ….
That’s ridiculous. And if Larry is stupid enough to believe that he’d be demanding visitation. Maci has a great husband. There is no way Maci would hook up with the drug addled Ryan. She can’t stand him.
I think Ryan’s parents are overstepping. Think they better back off if they want to continue to see Bentley. Maybe they should concentrate on their own son, just a thought.
Tyler cannot catch a break with his family. What a bunch of fuck ups! As far as the Carley thing goes, I think they need to stop bugging Brandon and Theresa…I know it was an open adoption but it seems let these people live.
Ryan’s father referring to the private school as the “baseball school” was so infuriating. What kid doesn’t want to go to baseball school? It sounds like summer camp when you refer to it that way.
I feel like Tyler is at a crossroads of some sort. He really just needs to cut people who are doing nothing but taking from him out of his life. This may or may not include Catelynn.
So funny Amber wanting to play victim so soon after Gary’s wife kept the baby for 24 hours. Hmmmm…
Bristol, I just can’t understand where she’s coming from. Maybe I’m missing something.
Maci could probably afford private school but I understand why she doesn’t want it. Also understand feeling Ryan’s parents have overstepped their boundaries.
My jaw dropped when they showed the inside of Tyler and Cate’s old house. It looked like a damn crack den! I could not believe how calm they were about it. I wonder how much money it cost to repair everything. I don’t know if I could forgive my sister for that crap.
Anyone else more interested in seeing Dakota’s story without the need for Bristol? I just want to hug him and get him help.
Cheyenne was a waste of an add.
I’m shocked Catelynn and Tyler didn’t go to the house they let his sister live in a lot more to check things out. Last season when Tyler went to get Butch to take him to rehab (Butch was living in the house with Tyler’s sister at the time) the house was so obviously trashed then. The people who Tyler surrounds himself with are so ungrateful towards him. I still don’t think they are in any place to have another kid. Hopefully it all works out for them.
It’s interesting how during the late summer early fall Mack would tweet about how fake MTV really is yet here she is filming scenes.
I was actually surprised that Amber had a miscarriage while with Matt. This whole time I thought “wow, Amber knew better than to have a kid with that deadbeat jackass “. Turns out no…no..she didn’t know better. The fact she didn’t use birth control with Matt, and got pregnant so quickly with Andrew’s baby makes me think she was desperate to have a baby regardless of who the father was gonna be.
I think Bristol’s storyline is kinda interesting. A lot more interesting than Cheyenne’s. I’ve watched Corey the last few years on The Challenge and Ex on the Beach and he is a player. I can’t imagine him ever settling down. He’s a very good dad though.
I think Ryan’s parents have always overstepped boundaries.
Macy’s thoughts made sense to me.. Bentley is going to middle school.. Private school for jmiddle school, senior high and college??? Wow. And she gahass more kids coming along.
She worries that Bentley will get a big head because he is on tv and private school will just make that worse.
Amber is calling the new baby Booger Butt. So Leah doesn’t even have a unique obnoxious nickname from her mother.
Tyler has everyone on his shoulders.
His mom seems to want him to handle his sister.. Her daughter…
Tyler’s entitlement issues towards Carly have always bugged me. I’m a 48 year old adopted child. My best friend placed his daughter for adoption, an open adoption 15 years ago. I’ve seen both sides, my adoption was closed. My friend is not his daughter’s Dad. He legally signed that right away. He has to abide by her parents’ rules and the legal agreement. Her parents decide what she knows and when as far as who he really is. Tyler is not Carly’s Dad he is just her biological Father, he gave up his right to be her Dad and raise her and make decisions about her raising. There is a huge difference between a Dad and a biological father who legally gave a child up for adoption. Tyler and Cait need a lot more help and have always needed a lot more help realizing they have no say in any of Carly’s raising or life.
I feel the same. While they are her bios and gave her the start in life, Theresa and her husband are her parents, they are her life, they are responsible for her life period. They need to focus on their daughter now who has to deal with two parents who have emotional issues, addictive behavior of parents , grandparents, aunt, the fact that her parents only job is this show and now she has a new sibling on the way. No wonder she’s acting out a wee bit. Focus on the child you do have and leave the child you made the right decision 9 years ago to give up. They are at this point confusing two little girls and only one of them has parents who will say “Enough is enough.”
I agree with this. I understand there is going to be a jumble of emotions for the birth parents but the expectations are so ridiculous all the way around. Remember the time that Kim, Tyler’s mom, thought it was ok to call Carly’s parents and ask about her or seeing her? I forget exactly what she called them about. All I remember for sure is that they were NOT happy and that it freaked them out. Just like when Butch went up to Carly to talk to her at the wedding after the parents made a SPECIFIC request that he not do that?! And he said he didn’t care and would do it anyway. I cant imagine how hard it would be to see your birth parents on TV talking about you non stop and all your friends hearing it and knowing all these private details of your life. Whether she is 9 or 19, it would be really hard. I personally think that B&T need to cut the visits off unless its in Carly’s best interest and she has actually asked to see them. I think it should be back to letters and maybe a picture once a year. Hearing Tyler and Catelynn talk about Carly developing this alleged bond and sisterhood with Nova is just proof that they are living in a fantasy world in their minds, where B&T are babysitting Carly until shes 18.
I think that when Carly is of age she is going to seek out Tyler and Cait on her own and develop her own relationship when them. It’s an awkward situation because Tyler and Cait are on TV. Carly can easily go on social media when she’s 12 or 13. Brandon and Theresa cannot block the birth parents forever. Sadly this is a one in a million situation. Tyler and Cait are famous, on TV and they can offer Carly a lot financially with their resources.
I think Carly is going to resent Tyler and Caitlynn and wish they would have shut the fuck up about it after the first couple of seasons.
I think Carly is going to resent Tyler and Caitlynn and wish they would have shut the fuck up about it after the first couple of seasons. They should not keep on trying to force themselves on her against her parents wishes. Now she is probably being harrassed at school.
If you watched this last episode Tyler admitted that.It took a lot of growing to do ( yes they still have more),but he said he did basically feel entitled and now realized it’s not his choice it’s her parents choice.
It is a really heart-breaking show at times because we have all been watching so long and you want them to succeed. I really feel for Catelynn and Tyler missing their first born. They were in a really bad situation and made the most unselfish, beautiful decision ever.
However, they are now in a position to not only have a relationship with the child but to introduce her to her sister ;(. Carly’s parents have to do what they think is right though because it is their right now.
Bristol is not coming off very well in this show and I think made a selfish, ugly decision because her daughters will be watching this footage one day of their parents’ marriage crumbling.
I think Maci is Very good mother and I am going to leave no comment on Amber.
If I was Tyler I’d run far away from everyone except Nova.
Gary’s wife is such a sweetheart and I like her so much, I’m so sorry for all that she went trough.
Bristol is a manipulator who came on Teen Mom to get a divorce. She sounds exactly Farrah it’s spooky.
