Good evenin’ y’all!!! We’re back to see what shenanigans our lovely ladies of Dallas get into this week! We open with D’Andra and Jeremy at a photo shoot for D’Andra’s product “Hard Night/Good Morning”.He’s the photographer for the shoot and his photos were great! She looks beautiful and her hair is goals. She’s the face of the product so she’s feeling the pressure. D’Andra tells Jeremy about LeeAnne calling her an alcoholic and Jeremy says it’s childish which is how LeeAnne reacts. He wants to know why LeeAnne is still going to the upcoming cooking lesson at Mama Dee’s house and it’s basically because Mama Dee wants her there.
Kameron, LeeAnne and Cary go to a pop up boutique party that Kam is hosting for a friend. LeeAnne says the gossip about her relationship with Rich is bull and Cary can empathize as it happened to her last season. By LeeAnne. She also hopes that LeeAnne can feel the pain she inflicted on herself and Mark last season and has learned her lesson. LeeAnne finds it funny that D’Andra and Brandi are the only two in the group who have a problem with her. Cary bristles at LeeAnne calling D’Andra an alcoholic but LeeAnne is running out of F’s to give. They’re “just hands people, they work quite well” and she will NOT hide her face in a locker again like she had to do in high school! Cary and Mark are at their house and Cary’s planning what I think will be an all-cast trip to Denmark. She’s trying to reconnect with Danish relatives in order to forge a closer relationship with her father. They face-time with Cary’s parents who are excited that she’s going to see that side of the family.
Stephanie and Travis discuss Travis going to Harvard Business school. Stephanie is scared that she’ll fall into a depression again with him gone. Travis tries to prep her by taking things one day at a time. They’re going to renew their vows for their 10th anniversary. I’ll let y’all speak about that in the comments =)
It’s cooking lesson day at Mama Dee’s best friend Marian’s house. Mama Dee’s kitchen isn’t getting dirty for no one! Marian’s kitchen is beautiful. D’Andra fills Marian in on her LeeAnne drama (which is all she talks about honestly). Mama Dee and Marian have been friends for 40 years and have had plenty of fights, so D’Andra is hopeful she and LeeAnne will work it out like they did. Mama Dee’s a great cook and it’s why D’Andra blames her for weight problem, Mama Dee informs us. She hands D’Andra a “Queen Bee” apron which D’Andra feels is a direct jab at LeeAnne for their “I’m the Queen” fight a few episodes ago. Kam arrives with her Mother-in-Law Jimmy. Jimmy is an icon in Dallas society, LeeAnne says. They chop up veggies for a meatloaf which has bacon so I’m in for this! Buckets of ketchup is used so maybe I’m out again lol.
D’Andra brings up how she’s still upset that LeeAnne said she was an alcoholic. LeeAnne denies saying that, but says she is concerned with how much she’s been drinking lately with Brandi. Kam says it’s ok to drink and have fun as long you don’t get trashed and sway side to side like Brandi does. LeeAnne and Mama Dee talk and LeeAnne feels like a second daughter to her. LeeAnne tells Mama Dee how hurt she was by the “living separate lives” comment. She’s concerned about the drinking with Brandi and it worries Mama Dee since alcoholism runs strong in D’Andra’s family. LeeAnne is hopeful that Mama Dee has both of their best interests at heart but understands that D’Andra is Mama Dee’s daughter which will take precedence over LeeAnne.
Rich and Jeremy talk as well and they discuss how the argument between them will get worse before it gets better. Kam, D’Andra, and Jimmy sit and talk and Kam tries to tell D’Andra how untrustworthy Brandi can be. Jimmy tries to tell D’Andra how LeeAnne is her real friend and she shouldn’t let Brandi come between them. Jimmy says Kam has a friend who she doesn’t like due to her reputation, so D’Andra feels she’s being warned about being friends with Brandi and her declining reputation in Dallas.
Brandi is at a jewelry store with Bruin to meet up with Travis. Ten years prior, Brandi helped Travis pick out Stephanie’s ring so they’re back to do it again for the 10th anniversary. Oh Brandi has been friends with Travis for 20 years, so she knew him before she had known Stephanie-I didn’t know that! They get her a new diamond band for the meager price of 41 grand-just a drop in the bucket.
The food that the ladies made at the learn to cook party is ready and it looks great! D’Andra, Kam and LeeAnne sit together and complain about the vast amount of butter in the mashed potatoes. Mama Dee makes a toast about how food and family go together and how they should all treasure these kinds of moments because you never know if it will be the last. LeeAnne feels touched by the toast but it makes her sad that D’Andra isn’t trying to re-establish their friendship.
Mama Dee, D’Andra, Jeremy go to a party to celebrate Jeremy’s unveiling a mural based off one of his photographs. D’Andra feels that Kam set her up by bringing Jimmy to the cooking party just to scold her. Mama Dee’s toast did resonate with D’Andra so she invited LeeAnne and Rich in hopes of reconnecting with LeeAnne. Rich shows up alone as LeeAnne is running late, which pisses D’Andra off. They unveil Jeremy’s mural which is awesome. D’Andra, Cary and Kam gather and D’Andra tells Kam how she felt attacked by her and Jimmy. Kam is disgusted by the accusation and defends Jimmy, saying how she was only trying to protect D’Andra and her reputation. Kam says that Jimmy is the wrong person to piss off which D’Andra takes as a threat. Kam leaves in a pink huff and Cary goes to try to talk to her. Kam says she’s completely done and that D’Andra is acting like a crazy bitch. Mama Dee wants to know why D’Andra cares who is talking about her. Mama Dee had to learn to work with people who didn’t like her and how D’Andra shouldn’t care how others perceive her. Kam is done defending D’Andra and rides off in her chauffeured, expensive car.
Next week is the Copenhagen trip and Mama Dee pushes LeeAnne right under the bus that Brandi and D’Andra are driving. Things get physical with LeeAnne and D”Andra which seems to spell the end of their friendship.
Welp, I’m interested in what y’all think of tonight’s episode! I will be spot checking as my beloved Red Sox are in the World Series and I’m getting married in 2 days, so I’m knee deep in chaos. I will reply when I can but until then, please comment away and GO RED SOX! =)
