Joe Giudice’s Wife And Kids Apparently Didn’t Really Think He Would Be Deported

October 14, 2018 by tamaratattles 121 Comments

I really don’t believe for a minute that Teresa Giudice did no know that Joe Giudice was going to be deported. The law is pretty clear on this issue since I have been reporting for years. Once ICE put a detainer on Joe when he began serving his sentence in 2016, it was clear he was being deported. It was also clear that his attorneys wanted to expedite the process as much as possible to limit his time in an ICE detainment center. The detainment centers were criminals go to wait for deportation is a very nasty place. It’s always been his attorneys goal to get him to Italy as a free man as quickly as possible.

Since the judge made his ruling that Joe is going to be deported based on the laws of this country, two of his daughters have gone on social media to say they plan to still fight for their dad and they love him and this isn’t fair.

If the rumors are true that Teresa is not planning to move to Italy to reunite the family, then she should perhaps talk to her children about the situation. The rumor is she is using the kids as the reason not to move to Italy because they will be taken away from their friends. People get transferred to foreign countries all the time for work and mothers never decide to just keep the rest of the family in the US. It’s a fantastic experience for kids to have an opportunity to live in another country. I’ve said before, that the whole issue with them being able to support themselves in Italy is a bit of a conundrum, but it can all be worked out. Instead of buy Gia $50K BMW for her birthday, despite having no money for her college tuition, perhaps she should have saved that for expenses in Italy. Or college. Or paying back the people that were stolen from.

The statue of liberty is not crying today Teresa. It’s only you children who you brought all of this on by your desire to have money and fame at any cost. I’m amazed you are even in New Jersey with all of the partying and traveling you have been doing. You seem to still have a ton of money to spend. That must have been a huge mattress you hid all your ill-gotten money from.

Ciao.

I get the whole fact that he has 4 children. I’m so tired of celebrities getting lax punishments for breaking the law. That is what is not fair! I’ve never broken the law, that’s why I’m not in jail.

We don’t think he even had a US passport. We think he used his brother’s just like he used his brother’s driver’s license after his was suspended. He was convicted of crimes locally in addition to the 41 federal felonies.

he has a green card so he is a legal permanent resident. that is how he got back into the country. he had a green card and an italian passport.
          he is NOT a citizen.
he has committed a felony as a non-citizen. there is a long list of crimes that can get you deported.

why his parents never got him his citizenship as a young child we will never know, why HE didnt get his citizenship once he turned 18 we will never know. he sure had plenty of chances.

Legal immigrant parents cannot ‘get’ citizenship for minor children brought to the US. If they were brought to the US legally as a minor, they can apply for citizenship when they turn 18. Joe was brought here legally by his legal immigrant parents. The rest of his siblings were born here. His parents became US citizens.

There was a time when you would automatically become a US citizen when you married a US citizen. That changed after 9/11. My co-worker from Canada was married to a US citizen. She was also an RN. She did apply for citizenship but was still going through the process. Any time she changed a job, she had to go back to Canada to reapply for another green card or updated green card, or whatever it’s called. I’m sure Joe knew he wasn’t a citizen, but we’ve all seen how he is. He was probably reminded and just shrugged his shoulders and said, “Whaddaya gonna do? Whatever”

I really feel sorry for their girls. Even if Teresa wasn’t forth coming with them, they are old enough and have access to the internet. They probably knew more about what was going on than Teresa did. It still hurts knowing it’s actually happening instead of there is a really huge change that it’s going to happen. Joe has 1 more appeal chance left but it doesn’t look good at all.

She was supposed to go see Pretty Woman on Broadway the night that Joe’s deportation was announced. I think the only reason she canceled was to start the publicity for sympathy & dragging her girls into it.

I wonder why they don’t just leave America as a family and go back to Italy. Joe’s father is buried on their property and he probably wanted to be buried in Italy so they can start there. Bravo can do a farewell show that shows them leaving America and arriving back in his homeland. Teresa can shop for her recipe “ingrediences” in an Italian marketplace. Now that’s a show I would watch! Hey Andy Cohen, send me a check for my wonderful show suggestion 😂😂😂

I don’t think it’s fair to deport a white color felon who has lived here as American since he was in diapers….yet KEEP a felon who entered illegally ten years ago because “it’s all they know” and it “wouldn’t be right” to send them out. I guess with all our country has going on, dumb ole Juicy Joe seems like a low priority with ICE! Our customs system is so messed up! There are THOUSANDS of dangerous people who NEED to be deported and aren’t & this makes Joes deportation seem odd to me. Why the double standard?? *serious question*

I don’t know who this random felon who arrived ten years ago is, but the deportation process is pretty straight forward and not based on anyone’s feelings unless the situation occurs in California and other places where they have “sanctuary cities” were the local/state authorities refuse to cooperate with ICE. Also, stealing from the IRS insures deportation will happen.

As someone who grew up in NYC in Queens, with a bunch of Mafia families in my neighborhood and am the sister in law of a Gambino family member, it’s easy. He’s part of a Mafia family (as is the other Joe.) My parents were first generation French and they got their citizenship. Nor were they thrilled with my brother marrying into a Gambino clan.

I grew up next to Maspeth, Queens which is where the Manzo father was found shot and dead in the truck of his car. They are all involved.
I think Joe is safer in Italy than coming back to NJ. He probably has people he has to answer too concerning his businesses and everything else. Teresa is going to run off with her lawyer.

LOL are you certain there are thousands of dangerous felons being protected in the states. Or just south of the border felons.
As s Californian most felons are deported. There are exceptions with SF, LA and few other jurisdictions. Most are deported , often repeatedly and they keep returning. They then find a harbor in a city, but their names are tracked, once picked up again, they will be deported again. Sanctuary city rules were for the people whose only crime was being illegal. It’s become something else but most felons get prison time and are departed from there.
So do all illegals that have committed no crimes also get a pass?

There are not thousands of dangerous felons. Go check for yourself the last census, we are not being over run with immigration. Stop watching Fox,.

Pictures show them tearing down the barriers. Not unverified. ISIS members and individuals from countries that sponsor terrorism have repeatedly been caught crossing the border. 100 is a round number that they’ve reported this time around, so I went with it because 10 is too many; as I said, reported. The claim that felons and violent individuals are not crossing is far more unverified and widely reported although factually incorrect. In any given population of undocumented individuals acting illegally there are such and it has repeatedly proven to be the case that felons are deported and return.

A very large percentage of Hispanics down here are illegal. A majority really I am told.. Since we have a 10 day jail release program there are many felons, a lot of Mexican Mafia’s, Asians, and Caucasians as well. When I see that caravan it scares me. We have enough of our own homeless and poor here. Our emergency rooms are filled with illegals and their children and our taxes are sky high as we are paying for all this. As far as having insurance, in order to cut costs, a couple of my medications have been denied due to not on formulary because too expensive including my blood thinner. So I was given one that gave me headaches. So I have to settle for what they will allow. to have 4,000 more here . I can’t even imagine how much money this will cost us.

Is there not a double-standard between a “white collar” felon and other felons?

Let’s use the BCCI scandal as one example. You might recall this global money-laundering scheme that set up a private bank, bought a U.S. bank, financed by drug-traffickers among others, and defrauded stockholders in the U.S. (and elsewhere, but let’s keep this to the U.S. for sake of the example). People were prosecuted (Clark Clifford got away with it because he was old and ill, but Altman was banned from having anything to do with the banking industry for life); if any of the criminals living in the U.S. were non-citizens, would you have wanted them deported? I sure would.

      Does that seem unreasonable?

I have dual citizenship — I’m a British Subject and an American Citizen. I was born in England, lived in an orphanage for 16 days and was adopted by an American couple while my father, an officer in the Air Force, was stationed overseas. When I turned 18, I applied for US citizenship. My mother had to petition the Church of England to have me baptized Roman Catholic. Enough about my pedigree…

TT, your post is spot on, as usual. IMHO I don’t think Joe is the brightest bulb in the chandelier and probably never thought his life would be what it is now. I truly feel bad for their girls, but children are very resilient. Lord knows my parents dragged me all over the world when I was young and I loved every minute of it. I said this years ago, Teresa needs to take care of her family and get off of RHONJ. That show is a shit show that jumped the shark years ago.

I am not a US citizen but I am an old bag who has reached that stage in her life to be super crabby when people don’t pay their way … and then their actions cause me to have to pay more. If Joe was not a US citizen and had no passport/green card/visa, then that lying, cheating, stealing, fame-whoring dick has not paid a cent of income tax since he was a baby living in the US. All that cash! Cars and clothes and implants and trips and self-promotion and braces for the kids teeth – I think the people fighting to keep him here should be the ones to shoulder the already enormous debt he has created by not paying income tax. Not to mention the existing debts for living large and the cost to the American people for the trial and keeping his ass alive in jail. Sorry! Absolutely not even a twinge of remorse for these fucking pieces of shit.

Adele, I agree because I’ve seen what people like this do to honest, hardworking people who obey the law and pay their debts, then are driven out of business by people like T&J. The responsible people’s children then suffer. T&J did this to themselves and their children and if they never pay for it, their children will see that and possibly go on to do the same to an even wider group of people.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t marrying an American citizen enough to make you a citizen? Didn’t he marry Theresa? Did they not marry here or something? That part is confusing.

Marrying a US citizen doesn’t automatically give you citizenship. You have to apply for it & go thru a process that is neither cheap nor short.

I think that’s a qualifier, but citizenships are federally managed, and marriage licenses are managed by county/ state government. Based on arriving as a child, he could have filed for citizenship for a long time, not just after marrying Teresa. He chose not to do it, then he chose to commit fraud.

It used to be the case that marriage insured you could stay, but with so many people making a business arrangement type marriage so the other could get citizenship they changed the laws. A friends husband came here for college, he was raised between Cameroon, France and Scotland. His mother was a physician with WHO and his dad was a big time engineer. They met and fell in love got married and he literally missed his immigration interview because she was in labor. He had to fight for an exception and finally got it. He is a citizen now, took a long time, they have 3 beautiful kids and they have a little farm I. Oregon. Literally took like 3 years and a ton of money.

Gross. I cannot stand people with such skewed priorities, buying shit they cannot afford when they have zero savings for their kids’ education or any at all. Stealing from people all to buy material things of no real value, while your kids suffer in the end for the basic things they need, their parents. I hope they’re happy they had their fancy, gaudy house and stupid material things while they did, because it has literally cost them their family life as they know it.

I have zero sympathy for theresa or joe, neither has shown any remorse or taken any accountability, I have only compassion for the kids because their parents failed them and are ruining them.

My parents lived a very comfortable life. My Father worked his way up into Management, they had the best of material things. When it came to our education it was not a priority to them. They never put money away for our education and we all had to put ourselves through college if that is what we wanted.. We were told it would build character. I remember my dad saying “just be a waitress” I don’t know if this is an Italian thing but my Mother was not Italian, or just old country thinking that he learned. I am not sure. But appearances were very important.

I remember in season 3 Teresa was putting Kathie Wakile down for not buying a designer bag until her 30’s. Kathy replied that she though saving for college was more important and asked Teresa if she had college accounts for the kids and Teresa replied Yes she did . I really doubt that because Teresa values bag and cars much more than a college education.
I hope Gia has some savings for college or she’ll be selling her luxury BMW for tuition next year.

Whilst it is sad that he’s going to have to leave the only home he’s ever known, both Joe and Teresa brought this sorry state of affairs on themselves. If as speculated he’s been using his brothers ID to travel then he obviously knew he needed to become naturalized in the US and should have done so. I really feel for the kids, regardless of how beautiful Italy is as a country to visit. It can’t be easy for them knowing their dad isn’t going to be there for the important parts of their life – birthdays, graduations, weddings, etc. If they’re still in hope there will be some reprieve and he’ll be allowed to stay then power to them. It might be easier than facing the almost certain reality of the matter.

I watched the video that Gia linked. An Italian American “comedian” ranting on the Joe deportation. As the daughter of truly frugal and hard-working Italian immigrants, I felt just like The Statue of Liberty. I wanted to hide my face in embarrassment for all of them. Such racist bull.

My folks arrived after the Nazi invasion destroyed their part of the world. My mom was 11 years old when she witnessed the hanging of Italian soldiers. She recalls the love for America when the American troops came down the hills and the Germans scattered.

I recall having a toast of whiskey the afternoon they became citizens of America. Never a penny spent on themselves. Always for their children’s future.

Believe me when I say that people in Italy mock faux Italian Americans like the ones shown on Jersey. They are weeping that one is heading there.

She is not moving to Italy. She has been posting stores of visiting potential colleges for Gia. She is not uprooting her kids to a country where they can barely speak the language. They can visit there dad, maybe even move to Italy themselves after college, but teresa is the bread winner and has to support her 4 kids and husband now. How would she work in Italy? Bravo is not following her to Italy. She will be on RHONJ until it dies, then peacefully leave the spot light and maybe go to Italy.

I do feel bad for the kids because this isn’t there fault at all. They have been through enough. I bet they can’t wait to go to college and get away from the crazy.
MANY women have to support their families on their own that do not have the luxury of selling their souls to Bravo/Haymaker.

That video was sick and for Joe to tell the judge what he did was very nothing to be deported for was ignorant and stupid. I have a friend that never committed a crime and was deported just because they didn’t file the correct immigration forms their lawyer gave them.

Double standard as for as tax evasion. I don’t see anyone raising hell because Al Sharpton has not paid the 3.5 MILLION back taxes that he owes. I am positive with the interest rate attached to this 3.5M the amount would be more than double because he has been owing this for years. Why is Al Sharpton being held above the law?
No matter the outcome of Teresa and Joe’s situation the children are the ones that will suffer the most. Personally, I think both would do good to stay away as far as possible from the public because of their children.

I was surprised to read Caroline Manzo’s statement regarding Joe’s deportation. It sounded like she thought Joe being deported was unfair as well and felt sorry for his daughters. My guess is these kids think it’s so unfair because Joe and Teresa have lead them to believe they did nothing wrong and were convicted unfairly. A Polish doctor in the country 40+ years was deported over the summer and he didn’t break any laws. Joe is going back to ITALY. He knows the country, is fluent in the language and has family there. He’s better off than most people that are deported for NOT committing felonies.

Teresa and Gia were dressed to the nines at Rutgers looking at campuses. Teresa has been flying to parties all over the place staying a really nice hotels. For someone who claims she doesn’t have any money for her kids college or paying back all her debts, she sure still seems to have a lot of cash.

I’d need to go back and look to see how long she has been out of jail and how long her parole says she can’t open lines of credit. And someone needs to look under the mattress.

I’m surprised each year that NJHW returns. I have not watched it the last three years.
TT’s recaps and the comments are enough.

People that have lived in the States for years are being deported everyday to numerous country’s. On NatGeoWorld Sunday nights their are documentaries that follow families. They survive, not well because they are aliens in their home country. Usually they are not financially able for the family to remain in the states for very long and also return. Some families do better, it’s all about being able to find work that can support them at the most basic level.
          I have no opinion.

I remember the very first episode of NJ, Teresa was buying furniture for the horrible castle they were moving into. Naturally, everything she bought was in awful poor taste, huge pieces, tons of heavy wood carvings, everything dark. The biggest memory was that she shelled out cash (!) for the stuff, somewhere in the neighborhood of $11,000. Then we met Joe. My old brain started to click. Joe, obviously a mob thug. Teresa, obviously a moll. House, a monument to over the top poor taste, and oodles and oodles of
cash. The next episode was a celebration of the implantation of bigger false boobs.

I haven’t watched this version of HW for several years. I have to admit, I watched it for too long because
it was like seeing a huge road accident in slow motion. All the men on the show were mobbed up, and
all the women were trophy wives, low class, poorly educated, bad mannered. Caroline was the only one
that I thought deserved some respect because she seemed to be trying to keep her family together.

I just hope none of the girls begin to act out or get into trouble because of this. Teresa has been traveling without a care in the world and that car that Gia got for her 16th birthday ((BMW) is ridiculous. Teresa is going down the same path as seen in season 1 – spending money 90 going north and I am assuming she has no real savings. I know she stated a while back that she had no savings for college for Gia but, that was so long ago, I hope that situation has changed by now. I don’t know what kind of bond Teresa has with Bravo but, they like to fill her pockets with money and pay all her legal fees and keep the show waiting all for Teresa… I wonder if they’ll grease palms for Joe to stay in the country…

Who lives in a river of cash without ever asking about the source unless they don’t want to know because they already know it would further incriminate them? Um, NO. You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about.

It was Teresa who went IN PERSON to banks and LIED to loan officers and presented PHONY W-2’s.

It was Teresa who was just as culpable as her husband in the 41 felonies they were charged with.

If she ever completes making restitution for the MILLIONS that both she and Joe stole, THEN maybe I’ll give some weight to the “she served her time” argument. I’m not holding my breath for that day to come, though.
