Before you do anything else, if you missed this #WWHL recap with Jeff Lewis and Shannon Beador, click here to go read it now! We learned a lot of interesting stuff. And at the very end we get a glimmer of hope that if there is another season, which is kind of unlikely at this point, that Zoila might come back! Maybe there is hope for Jenni too! She and Jeff have been texting again and have plans to go out to dinner. But there was so much there. It’s a very long recap, but you really need to read the whole thing. It was the best WWHL episode in ages!
It’s seven am at Valley Vista and Frankie is up working. Meanwhile, Tyler somehow let his car insurance lapse when he broke up with his boyfriend and moved out of his apartment. He ended up not being able to afford the insurance, then he totalled his car. I should point out that we saw his apartment and it is very nice with lots of nice shoes and clothes and copious amounts of hair products. Oh apparently that was Valley Vista. Jeff is going to let him stay there. Apparently, Frankie lives there too. This should be interesting. Gage has already expressed off camera that it is a bad idea. Tyler hates Frankie. Why is everyone so mean to Frankie?
Lea Black arrives as Jeff’s house. Jeff is going to redo her kitchen. The builder used finishes that were not up to the standards of such an expensive house. Jeff doesn’t seem to understand that Lea actually uses her kitchen and needs storage for actual food and places to keep dishes and pots and pans and such. Jeff is more concerned with then next buyer who will be single or a couple according to him. Well the owner only comes in the summer and only to entertain. I think her needs are more important. But she just agrees with anything Jeff says.
Jeff cut Paul’s position at Valley Vista to part-time. Frankie is managing three different jobs. This seems like a bad idea as well. Gage hates Frankie too. And he doesn’t like how Jeff lets him get away with so much.
I have rewound three times trying to find out the name of this place that Jeff is taking Lea shopping for appliances. It’s incredible and they totally got screwed on their promotional footage. You can’t read the name of the place! I would just like to see all of these appliances as if I were visiting a museum. They have appliances that cost more than my house. I am just thrilled to finally have a new stainless steel refrigerator and stove. I feel “very rich, bitch” about my new appliances, but these are just stupid expensive. And pretty Lea flips out when she discovers that you can’t use regular pots and pans on her new $3000 induction cooktop. My problem with it was it was so small. I sometimes use my entire cooktop at once and I am just one person. She may not cook much but someone will have to use that kitchen to cook for all her dinner parties. I want he old pots and pans. Especially if they are Mauviel. She has already asked that the newfangled microwave have Spanish language settings and commands. Llea gets the giggles just thinking about her maid trying to work the new kitchen.
Every hates Frankie. Part of it is because the think Jeff coddles him. Paul’s days appear numbered. They may both get fired this episode.
Monroe is the most adorable thing in the world.
Jeff has a crazy female neighbor. Apparently he had the property surveyed and a sliver of her property was actually his. So he took the fence down and trimmed some palm trees. This pissed her off. So now she is all psycho neighbor on him all the time. She is currently screaming his name from the yard of Old Hollywood. Gage goes out to the balcony tell her she is trespassing and needs to leave. When she finally gets outside their gate she pulls up a ficus plant. Crazy neighbors are the worst. She’s also threatened Monroe! Okay, now something needs to happen to her. I love how Jeff says the women got in Monroe’s face and said, “Your dad is the meanest man in Los Angeles.” Then continues, “That was and exaggeration.” Now Jenni is pissed off. She also said “Your father’s an asshole.” She went home and turned on some sort of siren. Jenni calls 911.
An hour and a half later, the police arrive. They don’t do anything because they don’t want the situation to escalate. Really?
Lea buys a two thousand dollar faucet for the sink. I am not making this up. I am looking to replace my small bottom bank of the kitchen sink and two drawers. My budget for that is nowhere near $2K. I need to find some rich person remodeling their old kitchen and see if I can have their old counter and sink. It seems they never use them anyway. Lea’s old one is brand new. Lea’s new appliances were $40K and that was with a steep discount.
It looked like Jeff was going to fire Frankie but he doesn’t. He actually gives him compliments on some things. He really has a soft spot for Frankie. I think because he is friends with his east coast business partner.
Next week: Gage and Jeff argue. Jeff goes to work on I think his grandmother’s house. If it is her, she died very recently.
