This season on Real Housewives of Dallas, we say LeeAnne take all of the ladies to The Anger Room to work out their issues and blow off any pent-up anger they carry for each other. It didn’t seem to have worked that well, but at least they tried. The gals from Little Women: Dallas also went to The Anger Room in season two.
The Anger Room was created by Donna Alexander as a place where people could let off steam caused by unhealthy relationships. She was a strong advocate of preventing domestic violence. The business gained success quickly and was particularly appealing to women who were coming out of abusive relationships. The Anger Room made international headlines in both the US and the UK.
Last week, Alexander was brutally assaulted at her Grand Prairie home by her live-in boyfriend, 34-year-old Nathaniel Mitchell sending her to the hospital with severe head injuries.
According to the Dallas Fox 4 News Station, “Detectives say Nathaniel Mitchell, who was there at the hospital with her, gave inconsistent statements. Police arrested him on the spot for outstanding warrants. And within a few hours, they charged him with aggravated assault on Alexander. When she died, he was charged with murder.”
Alexander had two young children.
This is so sad.
I can’t take this news. This is so sad. Seeing her picture almost makes me cry after reading this story. People are fucking insane.
Heartbreaking
Overwhelming sadness – #RIP Donna Alexander
This is so sad.I feel so bad for her children.
The fn irony. Let’s hope his final destiny is for him to experience one thousand-fold what she did.
So tragic your life was snatched away from you like that Donna, rest in peace angel. I hope he gets everything coming to him and more.
This breaks my heart.
Oh gosh this is heartbreaking! May she rest in peace
WTF?! I’m physically ill. God rest her soul & I pray for those children. Special trap door in Hell for that POS…
The hell this woman and her children must have gone through. I hope those kids are safe with someone.
Stories like this are why I watch garbage reality TV, where I worry about LVP taking a pony on a jet instead.
I personally know them they were my stepbrother and sister before her and my dad broke up some years ago
Very sad.
I believe Ozzy and Jack went there on one season of Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour too.
That’s awful. May she rest in peace,
That is horrible. Why can’t these men control themselves and just walk away?
Prayers for her children and family.
I’m so very sad. Here was a woman doing something really positive for the community-a role model.
What he did- it’s horrible.
My friend always says we have a great responsibility as mothers to sons: to raise them as gentlemen, to teach them to treat women with respect. I really believe father’s are ultimately most responsible for modeling that behavior but so many that I know, including my ex, drop the ball.
3 women a day are murdered by spouses, significant others or by exes after leaving an abusive relationship. This shit has to stop ladies, it just has to.
Edited to include D’Andra Simmons horrific story about her own situation. [VIDEO]
OMG!
dirto – wtf is wrong with you? (and i’m not talking about your numerous grammatical errors)
D’Andra Simmons making it about herself is what I said wrong. I couldn’t watch the whole clip. What an ass she is– and those eyes and fake eyelashes…. is that daytime makeup in Dallas?
God No. Daytime makeup for D’Andra only.
Maybe if you had watched the whole clip, you would have heard her say that she’s telling her story because she can. Because she’s still alive. As opposed to Donna, who isn’t. If one is lucky enough to survive abuse, one can choose to share their story in hoping that it can save another’s life. Unfortunately, there are some people who fail to see the courage it takes to relive such a painful memory in what actually is quite a selfless act in an attempt to help others. Instead, they take the opportunity to make fun of their makeup. Which, mind you, is in complete disregard to the woman who lost her life and is the reason for this story.
What an ass you are.
It’s amazing that women will come on posts like this simply to mock and shame victims. Pieces of shit is what they are.
I wish women would get that you don’t have to know the crown off of another woman’s head to wear yours straighter. DAMN……
So nasty to smear D’Andra because she was PERSONALLY moved by this and could empathize and sympathize. This world is freaking hard enough without us turning on one another with snark and shade @kdwagz.
No one has the right to take someone’s Mother. I am so angry, and so heartbroken for her children. Domestic Violence funding is last on the government’s list.
So tragic. Oh my god. A prayer for her young children.
No words….
Dirto u r the reason stupid people shouldn’t breed. You must be one of the abusers!! If u don’t have anything nice to say shut the f%ck up!
This is the most shocking and horrific news ever. It truly making me cry. I don’t know her, but I was excited to see and African American business woman featured on a RH franchise. I live in Dallas and my friends and I wanted to go to The Anger Room. Senseless taken of a life. Just so sad. Botham Jean, now Doona. I am so sad for her children and family, who have to endure such pain. My prayers and condolence for her family and may she rest in peace. So, so sad. 🙁
“This is the most shocking and horrific news ever” WTF
Hey Fynn…”WTF” with your comment?
This is a horrible tragedy and this is all you have to add to the conversation? “WTF?” Wise-ass. Hope the door hits you in the ass as you leave.
For a human to be so physically and emotionally beaten to say the words D’andra used – Her pain is palpable -I am glad D’andra survived and found an awesome human that respects her.
Shock. God bless her sweet soul. It would be great if someone could create a scholarship, or something similar in her name for a promising up & coming female entrepreneur like herself. Hint, hint, wink wink Charity Ladies of Dallas. Donna must have worked so hard to get her business up and rolling while also being a single mother. Don’t let her be forgotten Dallas.
It’s so sad. I just caught up on episodes and saw her giving the ladies the into to the anger room. I am sure she must have understood the need for such a place on a very personal level.
This world is just …..WOW
I worked with Donna and really enjoyed her happy and upbeat personality and her honesty.
