I am missing the middle (and usually boring) hour of the Emmys to recap this show for you. It is really unexpected that they are airing it tonight. The usually don’t air new housewives shows during major awards shows. Plus this episode seems like it is going to be pretty good. I’ve also started an Emmy’s post that I will probably put up after the show so the Emmy watchers will have some place to react to the winners.
We pick right back up with Kelly acting like a middle school child calling Emily’s a husband a dork and a little bitch and Emily threatening to kill Kelly’s dumbass. Tamra was upstairs for some reason and missed the entire thing. Vicki points out that Kelly is a dirty fighter and we see a montage of Kelly’s insults. The thing is those insults are fine because they are toward the other women on the show. They fight all the time. What you do not do is insult someone’s husband that you have known for thirty whole minutes. Take your problem up with the wife. Shane comes to talk to Emily and tells her she should not place any value on Kelly’s opinion. He doesn’t and if he doesn’t, she shouldn’t either.
Kelly calls Emily “classless.” That’s rich. Vicki is ready to go home with her man. Vicki is kind to everyone when she leaves, she even includes Kelly in her round of good-bye kisses. No sooner has Vicki taken three steps toward the door when Kelly starts trashing her to the other girls saying that her friend is dating Steve’s ex and that Steve told the ex he is only dating Vicki for her money.
The next morning Vicki comes over to Tamra’s and fills her in on what she missed. Vicki says that Page Six reached out to her friend that was dating Michael and ran a story. They reached out to Steve who told them that he was the one that set the girl up with Michael, not Vicki. In Vicki’s blog last week she says that Michael dated the girl for about six weeks and for a month of that time Kelly was in Aspen. It wasn’t like she was seeing them around town. Even if she was in town, Michael and Steve are friends. What’s the big deal? Then Kelly tweeted that Steve is a douchebag and Vicki is a pig. Emily shows up and says if she could go back, she would have handled it in a more reasonable manner. Tamra knows that Kelly knows how to push people’s buttons.
Vicki says that Kelly just wants to see her and Steve break up. Tamra tells Vicki what Kelly said about Steve dating Vicki for her money. Vicki says that Steve has money and “by the way, I don’t have that much money.”
Shannon hobbles on her first date since her divorce and he is kinda cute! He was married for thirty years. He says he spent the first year after the divorce crying a lot. He seems to have pre-gamed for this date. Shannon writes him off for having cats. I agree.
Steve takes Vicki to the Harley show to “get her leathered up!.” It’s over before I can type that.
Tamra and Eddie are taking the girls to Orlando. It’s filming season and Tamra is in a boot and Eddie is in a fib. How is this a good time for a trip?
Emily and Gina get together to talk about Gina’s divorce. Emily says there is no animosity in her marriage regarding her divorce. They both just grew apart and don’t want to stay married. It’s a mutual thing. Later Gina calls her mother and lets her know about the divorce. Even Gina wants the divorce, she still very sad about the end of her marriage. Part of Gina is worried they are making the wrong decision.
Steve threw a surprise birthday party for Vicki. Michael and Steve even had Vicki’s brother Billy fly in. Steve’s entire family is there. Vicki is so happy.
Vicki and Shannon go to see Dr. Moon for Shannon’s sprained ankle and Vicki has a swollen ankle too. Oddly today Shannon sprained her right ankle and is now back in a boot and on the scooter. Vicki says her anger is toward Brooks! Dr. Moon fixes them both right up. My liver definitely needs a visit with Dr. Moon. I am on a break from the booze since I have no Dr. Moon.
When Kelly and Emily meet to talk, Kelly is very defensive and says that Shane was “butting in” and “sticking up for Steve” and she didn’t like it but she only lost it when he said she was drunk (which she was.) Emily says what she objected to was the name calling. It’s fine to have a civil disagreement with her husband but call him names (like a schoolyard bully) is unacceptable. Emily owns her part, Kelly does not. Emily wants to move on and Kelly agrees. Kelly is much more rational when she is sober.
Tamra, Gina, Emily and Shannon meet for lunch. Tamra says her trip to Disney was a great relaxing getaway from all of their stress. Shannon gives an update on her date. Shannon’s matchmaker has a couple more guys lined up for her. Gina tells Tamra and Shannon that she is divorcing her husband. Gina says they fell out of love. The girls don’t understand why Gina is divorcing if she is still attracted to her husband and he’s her best friend. Shannon wishes her well on her amicable divorce. She planned for that as well and it turned into a very nasty situation.
The women randomly start talking about Vicki. Tamra says Vicki is not in love with Steve. She says when she spoke to the matchmaker on the phone, Vicki was asking about finding someone for her. Then they roll the footage to prove it. Shannon brings up her trip to Dr. Moon and mentions Vicki’s anger toward Brooks. Why do they continue to talk about Vicki and Steve? They seem fine.
Emily says that she and Kelly have patched things up. Shannon says she and Kelly rehearsed what she should say to Steve and told her to be calm and non-confrontational. Gina says that she would have cautioned Kelly not to do that. Gina says that Shannon sent her in there where the confrontation happened. Shannon gets really pissy with Gina. It’s awkward.
Next week: Kelly spreads more rumors about Steve and the breakup with his ex. Shane and Kelly talk and suddenly Kelly can’t remember what Shane did to warrant her name-calling. Gina says she doesn’t believe in God and VIcki tells her that she doesn’t have a moral compass.
