Good evening y’all!! Before we get to the recap I just want to send out my love and safe wishes to any of you and your loved ones in the eye of this hurricane. Hopefully you’re stocked up and barricaded or evacuated. However you’re getting through, please be safe and I’m sending out prayers that this storm isn’t as awful as they’re predicting it to be.
We open with the ladies in their homes and Stephanie in Italy. Sigh. Brandi is dealing with her new reality of a newborn and her two older girls. It’s a LOT of work and she’s exhausted. The girls are acting out and as a mom I am not judging, but for perspective think Milania from Jersey x two. Bruin is so tiny and sweet. Brandi is overwhelmed.
LeeAnne and Rich go out for dinner and LeeAnne is filling Rich in on D’Andra and Brandi’s newfound friendship. They discuss not setting a wedding date and LeeAnne is fearful to pressure him. Rich insists that he wouldn’t have proposed if he didn’t want to get married but he avoids her because he doesn’t want to set her off. They agree they need to communicate better and Rich tries to reassure her that she’s his best friend and he truly loves her. LeeAnne’s fear of abandonment and Rich’s past divorces scare her but they decide to start planning the wedding without the wedding date. I really like Rich and I hope this works out for them.
Kam is getting ready for a pet trade show. She enlists her two children to help her get ready to beg for a distributor for “Sparkle Dog”. Her daughter insists that her business idea is “dumb”. Out of the mouths of babes!
LeeAnne goes to D’Andra’s house to have coffee and catch up. D’Andra is considering a start up company on her own without the Dee Simmons name or funding. LeeAnne tells her about the conversation she had with Rich at dinner and that she’s feeling positive and excited, even though there’s still no date. D’Andra wants a date and still feels that Rich is stalling. LeeAnne wants to know why she’s bosom buddies with Brandi all of a sudden and confesses that she’s scared for D’Andra getting close to Brandi. LeeAnne is scared that Brandi will come between her and D’Andra. D’Andra wants the chance to get to know Brandi on her own but questions why LeeAnne would say she forgave Brandi when she clearly isn’t over what happened.
D’Andra gets ready for her birthday celebration at the rodeo. She greets Kam, Brandi and LeeAnne with tequila shots. Cary and Steph are still on vacation so they’re missing out on the rodeo fun. Kam can’t distinguish between a bull and a bowl but the rest of the girls are all excited to go. They do beer bong hits and again, super jealous of these girls-it looks FUN! LeeAnne hits the beer bong because all the other girls do and Brandi makes a bitchy comment about LeeAnne feeling left out at 51.
They all ride a mechanical bull and the only one who has never ridden one is, surprise! Kam. She Kams all out about it but stays on for a minute. They go watch real bull riding which D’Andra loves.
Cary is back and opted out of the rodeo because they don’t have a fancy restaurant at the rodeo. So there’s that. We see Cary’s house renovation and her closet looks like it will be its own master suite. They are spending 75 grand on a professional stove so when she calls herself a bougie bitch, she ain’t lyin.
The girls have drinks and popcorn and they discuss Brandi being without Cary and Stephanie and how different it is. Kam feels that she has to be a certain way in public and Brandi tries to bring out the fun in the girls. LeeAnne talks to Brandi about how D’Andra and Kam feel pressured to remain conservative and Brani wonders why LeeAnne feels she can speak for them since she’s not a society girl. Brandi wants D’Andra to be a free spirit and not feel shackled to her name and status, and D’Andra feels that she can bring that out in her. LeeAnne is concerned that D’Andra is acting too much like Brandi. Brandi gifts D’Andra with the VERY expensive necklace that D’Andra wanted but couldn’t justify at Beaver Creek. Kam feels Brandi is buying D’Andra off but D’Andra is moved by the gesture. D’Andra confesses to Brandi that LeeAnne warned D’Andra to not be friends with her but that she didn’t listen. Kam is concerned that D’Andra will act classless like Brandi does.
Leeanne is drinking heavily and D’Andra toasts the girls and thanks them for coming out for her birthday. LeeAnne gives D’Andra a drunken lap dance and LeeAnne gets down on the dance floor-literally. Kam is mortified and LeeAnne marks her territory with D’Andra. Brandi isn’t amused.
Steph is back from vacation and goes to Brandi’s house. Stephanie had an amazing trip and Brandi recounts the day at the rodeo. Brandi re-enacts the lap dance and tells Steph how LeeAnne doesn’t want D’Andra to be friends with her. Steph sees LeeAnne trying to change but also says she’s her own worst enemy. Steph wants to support LeeAnne until she’s given a personal reason not to.
Next week: Brandi asks her daughters to tell the social workers that she’s a great mom but her girls don’t bite. LeeAnne starts wedding planning and Cary starts pot stirring by telling D’Andra that LeeAnne is talking about her behind her back telling everyone how much money she has in her bank account. D’Andra confronts then loses it on LeeAnne. I don’t want to see their friendship dissolve!!!
Stay safe everyone!!!
