Well, the engagement is off. I said from the beginning that this relationship could not possibly be real. I still have questions though about how the entire thing went down. I really didn’t expect for them to go through with the engagement and when they did, I thought maybe all of that fakery might have turned into the real thing. I did notice last night that Jenna was very composed onstage and that Colton was a sobbing mess. Jenna seemed to be enjoying her interview with Chris more than being out in public with Colton for the first time. But this is sort of a suspend disbelief kind of show and stranger marriages have happened.
Last night was a brutal night of recapping leaving me unable to close up shop until after the sun came up. Oddly after a long night of recapping I wind down by getting through my emails and scrolling through Twitter and publicizing my blogs. I was trying to figure out the best hashtags to use for BIP and got caught up reading everyone’s thoughts. Kamil was trending because he dumped Annaliese on stage, and then I noticed and interest Tweet that included a text purported to be from Jenna to some mystery man.
In the text she was reassuring one of her lovers that she really didn’t even like Jordan, let alone love him. Despite constantly saying that she believes that God answered her prayers in sending her Jordan, clearly she came on the show with another agenda.
From the sound the end of the text this sucker seems to have cut her off and she is desperately trying to get in touch with him. I’m going to guess he is an older wealthy man who bankrolled her wardrobe and such for the show. I am told he is the person that released the text to media around the time the proposal was shown on TV.
Also last night, Jordan’s mother weighed in talking about comforting her crying son.
Jordan seems to still be open to talking to Jenna. Which is odd. So the current narrative is that Jenna broke Jordan’s heart.
However, I still have unanswered questions. Since this entire story felt entirely scripted and producer driven, I am wondering if Jenna didn’t just get exposed by her sugardaddy before she could expose Jordan in some equally damning way. Could it have been that they were both in on the script and maneuvering to be the first one to the punch to get the sympathetic narrative with Bachelor Nation?
Because at this point Jenna will never be back on the franchise and Jordan is the “sympathetic character.” This means we will probably be stuck seeing him again in the future. I don’t think this is the story they wanted to project for their inevitable breakup. I think the sugardaddy threw a wrench in their mutual plans. Perhaps they planned for a mutually understanding breakup and are still trying to figure out how to make that happen and do some PR cleanup?
What do you guys make of all this?
I totally think that this relationship was real for Jordan. He seems really broken up. I sent you some links.
I agree. At the reunion he seemed so in love and it didn’t feel like an act to me. Whenever he tried to touch her Jenna pulled away. Their body language said a lot. I think he got his heart broken.
TT- do those that get engaged get bigger paychecks than those that don’t on this show?
That is a great question. Sadly, I don’t know the answer. It would not surprise me.
I watch BIP but never watch Bachelor or Bachelorette. I just cant make myself buy into the whole concept of falling in love for real in such a short time. I had no idea who any of them were but I did find Jenna’s childlike personality fake and wondered if it was possible anyone could be as much of a tool as Jordan was. So this doesnt surprise me at all.
I guess Benoit had the last laugh after all.
I wonder if he set her up? This would give his career a little boost. She’s denying it all, which of course she would, but normally someone in love would believe the liar, he seems to be saying I can tell from the writing that’s her speaking and when she talked to me she kind of said it was true. It just seems like something is off.
Someone sent me a link to a Reality Steve podcast with Jordan. She did not deny it to him though she did’t admit it either. Steve emailed with the Sugardaddy who is also done with her.
Jenna choosing him after his fit with the stuffed teddy bear was always strange. Conversations between them were forced, strange, and didn’t pass the smell test for me. I had a hard time buying it after that. Something was always off there, just couldn’t pinpoint it.
Well now Anneliese and Jordan can get back together and be the two desperate rejected souls they were when the show started.
Stay tuned for the next season of BIP… The Annaleise and Jordan Story. Where he drops her again for the next thing that comes along. Production probably already has the script ready and the new girls from The Bachelor picked out.
