After they opted not to air an episode due to Labor Day, it feels like forever since we’ve seen these women. I just read the episode guide and it is nothing but arguing. Before we get started, there has been a ton of drama Kelly Dodd on social media. Last month, there was some idiot going around saying that Kelly was her daughter she had another name and she was a hired actor and so were Jolie and Vicki. It was disturbing enough that if I were Kelly, I’d hire an attorney to have the name and IP of the crazy person provided and a restraining order served. In a saner vein, Kelly and her brother have been going at it. They seem to be arguing about their mother. He’s claiming all sorts of libelous things saying that Kelly does drugs and abused her mother. He seems a bit off. The mother seems to be with him in Arizona, or vice versa. He seems to have partnered with a company that sells memberships to companies that provide those vitamin drips you see the hungover Pump Kids get. Kelly clearly doesn’t limit her constant arguing to the show.
We are back at the golf course where Vicki’s birthday party has come to a dramatic end after Gina’s fight with Emily causes a secondary blowup between Shannon and Tamra. Shannon storms off. Again, it is convenient that Vicki has disappeared from the scene regarding both of these fights. She comes back to the table with Gina and Emily right after Shannon fled the scene, A producer chased after Shannon and Kelly got up to run after Shannon. Shannon has locked herself in the bathroom of the clubhouse and the two male employees are pacing around clearly irritated by the drama in their man cave where they come to avoid this type of nonsense. Kelly finally gets into the bathroom and Shannon does her “woe is me” routine behind closed doors.
Eventually, Shannon comes back with Kelly and starts things up again with Emily. Tamra points out that Shannon makes everything about Shannon. Eventually, they decide drinking and eating cake is more important than arguing. Everyone leaves except for Vicki and Tamra who go to meet Steve in the club bar.
Tamra tells Steve she is so impressed with Vicki’s golf game. Steve says that he rarely gets to play with her, Then drunk Tamra tells him he needs to marry Vicki right now and he hightails it to the bar for another drink. This gives Tamra time to ask Vicki if she is “blowing him and fucking him.” Vicki says, “as much as I can.” I just can’t believe anyone who owns an runs a business would speak like this on national television. When the cameras are off and it is just the two of them? Sure! But in public for your children to watch online? Hell no. Tamra continues with the coarse conversation when Steve gets back and Vicki tells her they don’t use that language. Tamra persists. Steve is displeased. They made sure to show the employees silently rejoicing and shaking their heads when they left. So tacky. The phrase “you can’t take them anywhere” comes to mind.
Tamra is having a 45th birthday party for Eddie. In real life, Eddie had another ablation in the past few days that seems to have worked. Fingers crossed. Eddie invited David Beador. Shannon is not happy about it.
Vicki comes to meet Gina’s tribe. Vicki feels compassion for Gina because she is about Brianna’s age and raising incorrigible children alone. The thing is Gina’s kids are even worst and I would have already corrected them ten times before I got to their mother. Gina finally disciplines one of them for pushing her. Vicki seems to know Gina is divorcing her husband.
There are several small scenes in advance of the party to set up all the fights: Tamra and Shannon, Shane and Gina and perhaps Shannon and David if Eddie “forgets to dis-invite him.”
When Tamra scoots into the florist to pick things up for the party, Shannon is sitting outside with her own scooter. Apparently, two hours before she twisted her ankle and somehow magically managed to acquire her own scooter. She called her doctor who told her just to rest it. The whole story sounds fishy to me. What OC doctor with a rich woman with good insurance doesn’t drag her in for an x-ray and an expensive visit? While the two gimps are waiting for the florist, Tamra decides to confront Shannon about their one way friendship. Shannon takes it much better than I thought she would. Tamra has a breakdown over Eddie’s serious health problems. Eddie is terrified. They hug it out.
The birthday party is a red and white party and it’s really cute with throwback headshots of Eddie. It’s their first party in the gorgeous house. Emily of course comes in on Shane like a rabid chihuahua. I still have no reason to dislike Shane unlike you judgey fucks.
Shannon and Kelly arrive late. Shannon is now in a boot AND on a scooter for dramatic effect. Kelly is out to attack Steve tonight. Steve seems privy to the script and is clearly not looking forward to his upcoming scene.
When the ladies look at Eddie’s headshots, I am waiting for them to point out how gay Eddie’s musical theatre headshots are. This is like a test of Vicki’s ability to never bring it up again. Will it last?
We get a screenshot of Kelly’s tweet to Page Six calling Steve a douchebag and Vicki a pig. Oh, and correcting her age in the story.
Gina cries to Emily in the kitchen about her marriage. They are at a crossroads and she is not sure she wants to be with him anymore. Emily is really sweet. Vicki comes up to the pair and tells her not to give up too quick. She says she gave up on her marriage too quick and she wishes she would have tried harder.
Shannon tries to coach Kelly on how to approach Steve about her feelings about him hooking Michael up on a double date. This won’t end well. Kelly literally can’t walk in a straight line. Steve is talking with Shane and drunk (and possibly high) Kelly interrupts to talk to Steve. She asks him about the “drama on social media.” He says he isn’t on social media. She says he was on Page Six. He asked her what he supposedly said, and she’s stumbling all over herself. He asks her to take the drama somewhere else. Steve walks off. Kelly continues talking and Shane steps in to say if you have something to complain about you need to bring it to him. She says she hasn’t seen him until now. Kelly keeps going on and on Shane keeps saying don’t make it a bit deal. He has nothing to do with it. Kelly confronts him for “getting involve.” Shane literally does the “hands up don’t shoot” maneuver and Kelly keeps coming for him. Shane points out she is drunk. Actually, she’s wasted. Kelly says she is not drunk and this is her first drink. Shane replies, “That’s your normal behavior?!” and not it is on.
Kelly walks off calling him a dork, and a loser, a pussy and a little twerp. Shannon apologizes to Shane saying she’s just upset. Kelly runs into Emily and starts to complain about the little man over there. Despite being introduced to him thirty minutes earlier. Then Kelly continues her verbal assault on Shane calling him a little bitch several times. Emily has had enough and demands she stop talking about her husband that way. Emily loses her mind and the other girls have to separate them. Emily screams, “I will kill you!”
Next week: More screaming and threats from the ladies. Kelly starts telling all the girls Steve is only with VIcki for her money. Shannon goes to see Doctor Moon with Gina. Gina contemplates divorce.
