I’m not sure why Jerry O’Connell is on this episode. I like Jerry. I get he has a new “show” but it is only three episodes like Kandi’s show. I read today that they renamed his show because Real Men Watch Bravo was “offensive to the LGBT.” Andy says that all the time and now suddenly it is a problem? Now it is called Bravo’s Play By Play.
I actually forgot this was tonight until I saw people talking about it on Twitter. The hot topic on Twitter at the moment is that Carole is mean tweeting the fuck out of Bethenny. I would say again, but it is more like still. She’s also claiming that Bethenny is not Tweeting about the show because she came off as a bully. Really? Carole is delusional. Shouldn’t she be sympathetic to Bethenny’s sudden loss of Dennis since she talked all season about how death was such a bigger deal than divorce? She is so petty on Twitter.
Luann is wearing her Jovani reunion dress and there are three mannequins at the bar sporting three more Jovani looks. I love the dress Lu is wearing but I HATE illusion mesh. It appears that the bar is closed. I wonder if that applies to the audience as well.
We get a montage of Ramona’s crazy and entitled behaviors on the reunion but not her crazy eyes. I’m telling you something was wrong with Ramona at that reunion.
Bethenny won the prettiest dress contest by a whopping 80% and Sonja was a distant second. No one else got out of single digits.
Jerry talks about getting his car towed when he went to Tom Tom. He did a hilarious Yelp review written using all of the Real Housewives catch phrases as superlatives. I meant to post it this week but didn’t get around to it. He fangirled out about the entire experience. I added the review below.
Seventy-five percent of those polled are Team Bethenny over Carole. Booyah, Bitch! Luann is not fond of Carole anymore either and seems glad she is gone.
I need to make it abundantly clear that my most trusted source assures me that Carole was fired (not picked up) and that Bethenny told the truth when she said that no RHONY other than her left the show of her own volition.
Luann doesn’t seem too fond of Dorinda either. I love that Luann says today is 51 days sober. That is proof to me she is working a plan this time. Most addicts in recover announce their days sober a lot. Particularly in the first year or so. Good for Lu.
Luann admits that Ramona told her some bad things about Tom in Mexico and that did contribute to her drinking and falling into the bushes. She applauds Ramona for doing it off camera. Finally, Ramona did something kind to Luann!
Luann does state that she was never at The Beacon over the summer and Ramoma’s story is a total lie. She also was not kicked out of the Hampton’s party that Page Six covered because Luann came in late and walked across the stage (to get in the house) during a piano concert. Lu says that Ramona needs to “stop making things up to try to make herself look better.”
Luann says Dorinda was totally heckling her at the cabaret show. She is said that when Dorinda sees her behavior she is not embarrassed by it. Instead she defends it. I have been saying this all season. As much as she drinks she seems never to wake up thinking, “Holy Shit! What did I do last night?” I think most people have done that a few times in their lives. It’s a terrible feeling that Dorinda apparently never experiences.
When Andy points out that Dorinda says she is hopeful that their friendship will be repaired in the future. Luann says it was a sweet sentiment but not one she shares at the moment.
Regarding her relapse, Luann agrees with Bethenny who called her a big baby that just wants to be loved. She says she is a child and doesn’t ever want to lose that. That was kind of an odd statement I thought. She reiterated that she lives her life like a child.
Next Andy shows a clip of Dorinda saying that Lu’s cabaret success went to her head and that her mother always said, “In the face of devastation, humility should prevail.” Bethenny agrees that Luann was “feeling herself” a bit much regarding her cabaret success. Luann’s response was that she’s not taking advice from Dorinda at the moment. The audience laughs. Luann says she has found her calling in life with her cabaret and if that makes them uncomfortable, that is too bad for them. The audience applauds. This audience is very into Luann. Andy points out that Ramona said that she had concerns with Luann being in that environment so early in her recovery. Luann says that she understands the concern but for her, she is on stage doing what she loves. That’s her adrenaline rush in a way.
So the first ten minutes were all about Luann responding to the reunion. After the break, Andy is going to move on to Jerry. But first, the bar in fact is not closed and Andy and Jerry are going to do a shotski and a member of the audience is standing in for Luann.
The “gif” of the night is not a gif at all but a close up of Ramona’s fucked up eyes. They still have not discussed that situation.
Luann says she is very happy that Dorinda turned her on to Jovani. She says there are a lot of designers in NYC but when she puts on a Jovani dress it fits her like a glove and she feels like they were just made for her. I hate to point this out but the dress she is wearing seems to big for her and the ugly illusion mesh is bunching under her armpits. Please take this criticism for what it is worth as I am sitting her typing in men’s pajama that I haven’t changed out of for days Clearly, I should have no opinion on fashion at this stage of my life. I was very fashion savvy when I was young and thin though! I promise!
Jerry says that Carole’s bizarre comments on her lack of friendship with Tinsley was because Carole’s relationship with Tinsley was part of the initial feud with Bethenny. So Carole was trying to negate that as an issue.
Regarding Dorinda’s drinking, Jerry feels like Dorinda’s truth was when she was in Cartagena and told Lu that maybe she should do 21 days with her. Luann says she wishes Dorinda would have followed through on that.
Jerry disagrees with me about Shane. He says it was wrong of him to throw out Gina. I really have no idea how anyone, especially a parent doesn’t side with Shane.
Regarding RHOD Jerry says that LeeAnne’s zen meditation routine will never last and she’s past due for an eruption. He seems to side with Kam regarding Brandi not telling her about the adoption. That’s just a ridiculous position to hold.
Jerry got in a lot of trouble for outing Denise Richards as the newest RHOBH. He apologizes profusely especially to Andy and thinks Denise will be a great housewife!
Luann says she has not spoken to Bethenny since Dennis died, but they have been texting and Bethenny is taking some time to heal.
A caller asks Luann what she thinks about Carole and her dream team attempting to conspire to take down Bethenny. Luann says that they clearly plotted and schemed ahead of the reunion and she really wishes she could have been there to support Bethenny at the reunion where she was clearly outnumbered. She says they were all in cahoots with Carole. And yet? It was an epic fail in my opinion.
Jerry is a huge fan of LeeAnne from RHOD. He loves the crazy.
Luann has had no contact with Tom since the divorce but she is still good friends with Jacques.
Andy waited until the end of the show to discuss the lawsuit with her children and the count. Click the link if you have not read about it, the lawsuit is bad, she is clearly in the wrong and it’s kind of a big deal. She says the kids didn’t want to sell the Hamptons house so she has agreed not to sell it and she will be buying a new house in upstate New York. She claims everything had been settled. She enjoyed Labor Day weekend with her kids and it was fantastic.
Jerry gives his “rose and thorn” for the entire season. He says the rose was Lu’s cabaret show. His thorn was the battle of the resumés between Bethenny and Carole at the reunion.
It doesn’t appear there was an after show so finding photos will be difficult. In other news, I put in a lot of really good links to things from this season. I hope you will click on them and catch up on anything you missed.
