How are we only three weeks into this show on episode nine? Is it because of all the drama with Nia and Tristan? The season seems to be dragging.
Danielle and Bobby
We start off the episode with Danielle and Bobby saying their relationship is perfect, but the previews indicate a change is coming.
The therapists have provided a fishbowl with sexual questions. Danielle is having trouble answering them. I would too. The questions are awkward.
Bobby’s sexual fantasy is a t-shirt and a hat on his girlfriend/wife. With the other couples it was all about the wives fantasies. But Danielle apparently didn’t want to go that route so she shows up to the bedroom in a baseball cap and one of Bobby’s t-shirts and jean shorts. Oh and she straightened her hair for him. These two are going to try to out bore each other to death.
Amber and Dave
These to are “working through some issues” when the episode starts. But do they have too many issues to make a go of it? Amber says her hair is falling out. She thinks she may be dying it too much. This is a first step. I felt like previously she thought everyone believed she was actually blond. She would look so much better with brown hair. Amber says that she feels more herself with blond hair. Dave has seen photos of her as a brunette and thought she looked amazing. There are way more issues in this relationship than hair color.
The therapist comes to talk to Amber about her insecurities. The therapist sucks. She is giving Dave tips to accommodate Amber’s insecurities. She really needed to spend time with Amber and give her some tools to keep the crazy at bay and that her husband also needs reassuring.
Amber’s sexual fantasy is for Dave to dress up like a Viking. Le sigh. Dave could not be any less excited by this request. Dave picks up Amber in a horse-drawn carriage with roses and champagne. Dave says that she smells really good and it is almost overpowering. Now Amber’s dreams are crushed again. Any little thing sends her into a seas of negative emotions. She seems to brush this trauma off. Dave takes her to a special private dinner on a rooftop. Amber is pleased. For now.
Mia and Tristan
Mia’s father and sister go to lunch with the newlyweds. Mia brings up moving to Houston. Tristan is pissed that Mia brought this up at a casual lunch. Tristan brings up the option of Mia staying in Dallas while he has a place in Houston. Neither of them mention that the decision is two months away. Mia’s family is hostile about the situation. Tristan feels as though Mia threw him under the bus.
When they get home Tristan is pissed. Mia doesn’t understand why Tristan is mad. I get Tristan’s point of view. But I think he is overreacting. He says that Mia lacks commonsense regarding when and what to share. He says he has to baby her through conversations.
These two are back on the same page and getting along. Mia’s sexual fantasy is for Tristan to dress up like a donut and bring donuts. Really? People are strange. Tristan delivers donuts to Mia in boxer briefs with suspenders. It’s hilarious.
The Wives Go To The Nail Salon
Mia says that Tristan raises his voice with her. Really? Not nearly as much as he should. Amber talks about her hair color. Danielle says that she and Dave never argue. Danielle has no advice to offer the other ladies. She’s very close-mouthed about her relationship. The other two don’t believe her.
The Husbands Go Golfing
Bobby says he is in love and they have no issues. Tristan talks about the lunch. Dave says he is not really reaching Amber and he tries different ways to Amber feel more secure. He says in confessional that he and Amber have sex every night and most mornings. That kind of surprised me.
Next week is the one month anniversary for the couples.
