Wait! You mean when we saw Dorit coloring little pictures of swims suits and adding random bows to the already existing styles she wasn’t really an international swimsuit designer? And the Dorit and Paul put absolutely zero dollars into the business? It was all a farce for a reality TV show? And a scam? And now they are being sued?
I’m shocked. they seemed like such civilized people! I mean they live with Boy George!
According to TMZ, the financing for the RHOBH storyline came from Ryan Horne who has been in the swimsuit business in LA for a while operating under the name Same Swim. Paul and Dorit set up a three way partnership with the reality show couple in 2017. I believe we saw him on the show when they did the “fashion show.”
Ryan is the guy who provided the actual swimwear valued at $130,000 and invested another $75,000 for “expenses.” Did the expenses include Hermes plates?
Apparently, the swimwear line had brisk sales at high prices and somehow the profits all went into the hands of Dorit and Paul. So Ryan is suing them for $205,000 plus the third of the profits he is owed.
Ryan doesn’t seem very smart. He should have been paid for two thirds of the swimwear upfront and the expenses should also have been shared in the initial structuring of the business. Profits should have been deposited into a company account with someone overseeing the financial splits.
Ryan’s only hope is to get a favorable judgement in court and garnish Dorit’s Bravo paycheck. But even that could be a whole other sack of problems. Just ask Sheree’s creditors.
