Y’all I am so into Big Brother this season that it is taking up too much of my time. While I will put most Bravo recaps in front of Bravo, this show is not one of them. So with apologies for the delay I am trying to get this done before Big Brother comes on at eight tonight.
I do not understand why Louis sprayed Lyle from head to toe with a fire extinguisher. That seem very dangerous to me. Lyle seems none the worse for wear so maybe it causes brain damage and there is no way to detect that with Lyle.
Louis left like a thief in the night and Catherine slept alone in the woods in a separate cabin? This is why I hate to recap this. I have no idea what is going on.
I do know that they are about to do some skeet shooting. Brandon shoots the gun once and he’s had enough. The duck hunting scenes are hysterical. We discover that Lyle and Catherine slept together in the cabin and then Lyle snuck back to his room. The dance between these two continues.
Louis has a new office.
We finally get to see Ashley. She meets Daniel for coffee to chat. The group turned against Ashley last season and refused to film with her. Ashley is going through her divorce and living in a new place but things are great with her soon to be ex. Daniel is not really supporting Ashley who doesn’t seem to want to own to the fact that she was a baggage handler for Delta and not some International Fashion Stylist with a huge clamoring following. Ashley cries. She is really sad about being left out. She didn’t really do much to befriend the cast last season though. That said, I do miss her antics on the show.
I can’t handle daddy heart attack stories. I got to the part where Catherine wondered if she really needed to get up at four in the morning to be there. The answer to that question is yes. I have to zip through this it makes me emotional.
Hannah and Daniel throw a “Chrismukkah” dinner party. Hannah does all of the hosting duties. Bruce the show party planner has found a house for the dinner party. Bruce is a highlight of this episode. Hannah has a lot of opinions. I agree with most of them. But she’s not leaving an inch of room for Bruce to be Bruce. Hopefully he will nix the “gingerbread man.”
Louis and Lyle meet for cocktails to try to mend fences before the party. Why does Louis think that Lyle has to tell him his every thought while struggling with his relationship with Catherine? I get the Lyle Catherine thing is aggravating, but Louis needs to just give Lyle some room to breathe and a bit of support.
Oh Bruce, the gingerbread man is defiling this magnificent event. Seriously? The meal looks amazing they ate the ducks they caught duck hunting. When the guests have to share the peak and the pit of their year we get to hear about Lyle and Catherine’s relationship and Louis and Hannah’s relationship. Because this must be brought up in every scene. Who talks about the low points of the year at a Christmas dinner. At least the yankee gift swap brought a bit of fun.
But then, Louis and Catherine go outside and talk about their bad relationships. Because, bah humbug.
Next week, we are going to delve deeper into Catherine’s cheating, Hagood has a sake set back, and Daniel continues to be too preoccupied to be friends with anyone.
